Space battles

I've just seen the new space battle announcement and this got me thinking: does the Jedi even have a Navy (both NPC and PC)? If not, should we be worried that the IL most certainly do and they will be itching to use it?
If so, ignore me and go about your business (especially if you're an admiral or something - in which case take the fact that I haven't noticed you as a sign of you doing your job so well that Al-Ric can sleep safe at night on Jedha without even being aware of your existence... Something something... Silent protectors... Something something...)

All of the Jedi's resources and information can be located in the Archives, the list of ships in the Jedi Fleet can be found in the technology section.

Sorry for being slow, but the tech page looked like a list of available ship designs, rather than an inventory of an Armada.

And the other question of whether we have people to command the fleet(s) stands

The tach page is a list of ships that make up the Jedi Fleet. None of the factions have a listing of the number of total ships they have. The Fleet is commanded the same as the Army. The Jedi Council oversees all operations, the Jedi Generals have command of the Fleet.

OK, as long as you're happy that (eg) Al-Ric wouldn't know which way was up (literally) in a space battle whereas the IL has characters who live and breathe it

If a character does not know how to command a ship or a fleet, that character should not command a ship or fleet. The Jedi have had a fully functioning fleet for a considerably period of time, there are PCs and NPC (both FS and nonFS) who are more than capable of commanding. The Generals are in charge of fleet operations, not individual Jedi Knights unless given express permission.

Oh, no, I totally agree that that's how it should work. Turns out I was just overreacting to the IL appearing more prepared. I just didn't want there to be an invasion thread and us to all look at each other and say - but i thought you had this. I was taken in for two reasons:

1. Just because it's announced as shiny and new, doesn't mean there wasn't something before; and
2. The term general threw me.
