I honesty thought it was the worst pilot I've seen in awhile, and I've seen some pretty diuretic pilots.

Kaeb's not alone. I was also particularly underwhelmed.

Which you are perfectly entitled to feel and say. No one has suggested Kaeb can't believe that. I think we can all agree, though, that no matter what Kaeb believes, and whether he agrees or disagrees with someone, he is totally a pedantic piece of shit.

Nah, Anakin is more like Wing mixed with Scurge tbh.

I'm more like that one guy who tries to sell Obi Wan Kenobi drugs in a nightclub in that scene where Lucas tried to turn a space adventure movie into a dingy cop drama.

You really should go home and rethink your life, by the way.

I'm liking the second episode so much more and it's only two minutes in to the episode... Loved the fact the shuttle pilot was the Star Tours RX-series pilot droid. I'm also pretty sure I saw a male version of Metropolis' Maschinenmensch sitting at the very back of the shuttle in the same scene.

You did. That was what Ralph McQuarrie originally drew 3PO as too.

I actually thought the second episode was markedly worse. Action was nonsensical, almost as bad as Zeb's subplot. "I hate guns! But only a specific type of guns! No, no, I get that we kill people by shooting them, and I stab them with the pointy end of my shock staff, and we occasionally blow people up, but this one type of gun is just too inhumane!"

I don't really get how that's necessarily unreasonable though, especially given that's how many laws banning - domestic and local - the use of certain (though often chemical) weapons basically work. Roughly speaking, Zeb's situation would be the Star Wars equivalent of someone from Vietnam, after immigrating elsewhere, finding out that the group he's with is planning to trade and deal in Agent Orange. Plus hey, he tried to take the diplomatic approach with Kanan on it, probably because he ultimately did recognise the importance of those credits, rather than just dispose of them on his own, which is a lot better than how most stories would handle it.

I would agree with you were they biological weapons, but they were just powered up disruptors. Zeb himself has already done more heinous things.

...Zeb's committed genocide?

Edit: More to the point, saying they're just powered up disruptors doesn't do us as much good with the EU shunted into Legends. In context, they were intended for taking down ships, but got used on organic beings instead, with the results implied to be quite horrific - enough for the Senate to make them illegal. What that actually means is up in the air. Could be it was just the equivalent of shooting bazookas into someone's face, could be it left them in agony and slowly dying. Could be it forced them to speak and act like Jar Jar Binks and the planet resultingly committed suicide to save face.

The disruptors didn't commit genocide. He shouldn't be pissed off at the guns. Whatever pain inflicted upon somebody by one of those rifles, Zeb has done worse. We've seen what they do, which is shoot an electrical current through whatever they're fired at. Zeb runs around stabbing people with a shock staff. A SHOCK staff. And it's implied he greatly enjoys killing. This was not the right character to try and sympathize with on account of loss of life.

I thought the second episode was pretty shitty --but they did start fixing a lot of the issues in the pilot-- so overall I think you can't really hold it against the series.

Also too Luke blew up the Death Star which makes him worse than Hitler because how many millions of non-superlaser operators were there there, huh? Wake up bantheople.

On a completely unrelated note, does it bug the shit out of anyone to see Star Destroyers in atmosphere?

Attack of the Clones showed similar stuff, bugged me then too.
