@Sreeya has approached me privately to say I had timed out and asking me to remove my post.

I disagree. @Cainhurst Crow had until yesterday to respond to my entrance. They didn't, which is their right, especially as no attack was levelled. Then our clock started, expiring tomorrow.

Even if I am mistaken on the rules, I would ask for latitude in the name of RP. Yes, you could autohit and consign an insignificant level one character at the start of his career to the dustbin of the archive thread with a boring death, unconscious in an exploding starship. But wouldn't you rather meet that character?

If you want to know that I practice what I preach, you just have to look at the post I did make. The complete opposite of meta gaming (and for that I owe @Yuan an apology).

I will say the posting block has been confusing to say the least. I was told to wait until Sabrina's post had reached it's 48 hour mark because that would be the end of the Posting block for the opposition side. I waited, it came, Yuan posted, and so I figured that it was time for me to post. Now I'm being told that I timed out on posting when I was just waiting for our sides turn to post.

@Ulysses first of all, chill out. You're getting comically worked up over a thread that barely started.

Second of all, you had until 4:28 am this morning to post since Sabrina posted on Sunday. Cainhurst didn't go because he didn't need to. He had already gone for that round. This last round was supposed to be you and Yuan both posting, so that's where you timed out. Literally you had from Sunday till this morning to post and didn't. Yuan barely made the time.

I'll let it slide this time, but know that you did break the rules. And stop all this theatric about autohitting. Literally nothing is happening and no one is attacking anyone. Your char can be safely out of range of virtually anything. If you're already getting this antsy before we even engage, I'd reconsider doing the thread at all. You could have calmly brought this up without all that extra drama about autohitting.

@Sabrina go ahead and post.

@Sreeya first, and most important, thank you.

Second, I think that something has got lost in cultural difference and/or the nature of the internet. I do not blame you for that. I was chilled when I made that post (and I don't mean that in a "you should see me when I'm angry" way but rather a legitimately chilled way). Where I'm from, the way I wrote would be for clarity, rather than anger.

Similarly, the way you wrote - where I'm from, and especially given your position of authority - would be considered condescending. Again, I don't blame you but put that down to cultural difference. I don't believe that's what you intended.

@Cainhurst Crow for what it's worth, I think you were right the first time. I would not have objected to you making an opportunity attack on me as I entered the thread. It was that and that alone that you have lost on the timeout I referred to.

Despite misunderstanding, I'm here for the story telling. I hope my other posts show that.

Yes, yes. I think we are all well aware that it is very hard to convey a message's TONE online in a text-based conversation. Let's not get into a back and forth about what it SOUNDS like people are saying. That's going to lead to pointless bickering that will accomplish nothing.

Clearly there was no small amount of confusion on posting order and timeframe. I'm glad we seem to have worked it out. Just for clarification, we now post as teams. So, posting order is: @Sreeya @Cainhurst Crow @Sabrina in whatever order y'all desire within a 48 hour frame. Then @Ulysses and myself in whatever order we desire within the 48 hour frame.

I apologize for my part in the confusion. I had forgotten that the 48 hour rule had changed. I was thinking @Ulysses had 48 hours after my post to make his. I remembered the change after all of this broke out. Had I recalled, I would have told @Ulysses to post before me.

My bad for my part in all this guys! But let's all be friends. No need to argue. Remember:

48 hour timer starts as soon as opposition team block finishes posting. Team A posts, team B has 48 hours from last team A post to post. If team B doesn’t post in that time team A posts again. None of us were ‘free to skip’. You are the only one that didn’t post within your time window.

No, i get what you're saying. I thought that the rule was that after 48 hours the other team could skip you if you hadn't posted. I wasn't aware that it was a timer that if you didn't post, even if the opposing team wasn't ready to post you still lost your chance to post. I'm curious what the purpose of setting up the rule that way was?

I'm not entirely clear on a couple of points. I can't quite see when you ignited your lightsaber. Then, at the time of the first blaster salvo, Argo had not yet had time to take cover. I'm not sure what you are aiming at. At Argo's original shooting position, or where he will be?
