  • Technology listed below is subject to change, if something is archived or removed it may take time to move off the digest. Just because it is listed here does not mean it still is fair game to use.

Light Armor


Blast Vest - Very common and simple body armor
Flight Suit - Light armor for pilots and spacer's alike

Medium Armor


Medium Mandalorian Armor - A.K.A. Beskar'gam, the typical Mandalorian outfit and not uncommon among hunters.

Heavy Armor


Henchman armor - The people that wear this intimidating armor will likely break your knee caps
Trooper Armor - A catchall term ranging from phase I clone armor to the red Sith Trooper armor

Personal cloaking device - Makes the wearer completely camouflaged at a distance with various drawbacks.
Riot gauntlet - An extendable shield for melee combat that is lightsaber resistant
Translation visor - An addition to a wearer's HUD that translates known languages

Astro & Pilot Droids


4UM series Pilot Droid - Standard yet odd looking droid on par with organic pilots in safe and dangerous space
BA-10 Astromech - An adaptable and combat capable astrodroid produce by Blackwell Automata
BG series astromech - A common 'floating ball' style astromech that has replaced the R series
NM series astromech - A hybrid model somewhere between the R and B series.
R1 series astromech - A long time running though no longer produced classic model
R2 series astromech - What we think when you hear "astromech droid"
R3 series astromech - Superior to the R2 series a little bit in every way
R4 series agromech droid - As its name implies it is the terrestrial equivalent of its astral counterparts
R5 series astromech - The floop of the R series with an fewer tools and parts from the R4 series used.
R6 series astromech - A return to what works, the R6 series is most similar to R2 with a little newer polish on it
R7 series astromech - Secretly developed to be used specifically for the E wing
QC Series Astromech - A weird looking bargain basement astromech
ZDT-220 "benchmark" - An astrogation droid designed to compete with other astromechs

Combat Droids


-Infantry Droids-

11-3K probe droid - Used more for exploration, they are easier to recover than other probe droids
B1 battle droid - Originally not autonomous but now these droids are easily recognized by most of the galaxy
(R) B2 super battle droid - a substantial step up from the B1
(R) BX commando droid - Used a special forces model by the CIS back in the day these are a rare sight in present day society
D2NB series - An agile and high perfromance combat droid produced by Blackwell.
(R) Droideka - Also known as 'destroyers' even to this day and for good reason
(R) DT sentry droid - Illegal and originally used by the Empire
(R) Haxion bounty droid - Appearing similar to a binary load lifter, these scrap crafted droids are highly illegal
(R) IG-100 - Also known as 'magna guard', precursors to the bounty and assassin droid line.
(R) IG-89 bounty droid - A more effective and loyal IG unit
(R) IG-LN - Outdated lancer style IG droid for speeder bike cavalry.
(R) ITC-SC Infiltration droid - A very rare and new model droid with disguising technology
(R) KX Security Droid - Created to get around the strict battle droid laws, the KX is associated with Imperial guard outposts back in the day
Pistoeka sabotage droid - These suckers can scan your ship and mess up your astro droid
T2 series tactical droid - A clone wars era separatist strategy and leadership droid
V3-G4 Series droid - A Blackwell heavy combat droid model
YD Series security droid - a well rounded droid originally designed for warfare
Viper class probe droid - Scout like probe droid common for military groups


-Vehicular Droids-

TIE/TD training droid starfighter - A remote brain in a simplified starfighter based on the TIE/LD design
(R) Vulture Droid Starfighter - A combat droid that was prominently used for space combat at the behest of the CIS during the Clone Wars

0-LT - A common utility droid similar to astromechs but with a software update
2-1B surfical droid - common and polite surgeon droid
4EY series Scout Droid - Compact bipedal symbiotic scout droid
A7-TR Falcon Droid - A recreational 'pet' droid
AL-T utility droid - An older model of utility droid mainly used for repair and labor.
(R) BD unit - A small bipedal scout droid that did not get a lot of interest when originally produced
BSW-97 Salvage drone - Scrap and salvage collection droid often paired with salvage ships.
EK4 "Stevedore" - A common long armed labor droid
FX series assistant droid - usually a medical assistant aka 'fix it' droid
GNK series Power Droid - "Gonk!" says the walking fusion furnace
ID-21 "Seeker" droid - small scout like droid with possible modifications
Marksman H Training Remote - Small training drone that farm boys hate to swing at
MSE series Maintenance Droid - Aka "Mouse Droids", skittish but still somewhat useful for larger ships
P-0TC Surveillance Drone - Floating droid eye the size of a ball and capable of tracking targets
Vanguard class probe - Sophisticated scientific and military recon capable droid
WED Treadwell Repair Droid - Fragile but capable of repairing plenty, including itself
ZDT-260 "Drafter" - an engineering droid

T-13 Skydiver - A common airspeeder with optional blaster cannon
T-80 Joben - A utilitarian civilian speeder bike
TR-440 - A bike but with a high speed tread system instead of repulsors
Undicur class jumpspeeder - A compact and boxy vehicle that can easily be stowed on starships
W7P Wingracer - A single passenger swoop with great range
W9P Sailfish - An unusually aerodynamic with a smaller engine that still performs well
Zephyr-G swoop - a durable and reliable bike

(R) AT-AT Walker - The infamous quadruped war machines used by the late Galactic Empire
(R) AT-DP - The predecessor to the AT-ST with a less versatile arsenal but now a rare sight
(R) AT-DT - A light combat walker that usually has to be stationary to fight effectively with a crew of one.
(R) AT-PT - an ultralight combat walker that have mostly been scrapped
AT-RT - meant for scouting, these reconnaissance walkers are prefered over bikes by many scouts
(R) AT-ST Walker - Also known as the "chicken walker" it is still nothing to scoff at
(R) AT-TE Walker - A six legged transport used during the clone wars.
Columi Combat Walker Platform - Exclusively built for the diminutive Columi
F1K Ringspeeder - Fighter craft specific for atmospheric combat
FB-997 Persuit Speeder - Mainly for law enforcement, it can also double as a light attack speeder
K79-S80 Troop Transport - aka the ITT, a common and widely used vehicle in the days of the empire.
(R) LAAT/I Gunship - Galactic republic gunship often called "lattie"
(R) LAAT/IE Patrol Gunship - the police patrol version increasingly used by the Galactic Empire
N-47 Personnel Speeder - Armed and armored combat speeder
(R) Orbitblade 2000 - an airspeeder with a missile launcher
(R) T-47Airspeeder - An airspeeder fitted with a towing cable and heavy blaster cannons
(R) T-87 Attack Speeder - The successor to the T-47
TAM-6 Anti-Aerospace Crawler - Relatively common and cheap anti-aerospace vehicle though with limited standalone capabilities
Technical - Often used by militias or mercenaries the vehicle is armed with a medium blaster cannon
Seraph Urban Landspeeder - A naboo style technical
Storm IV Twin-Pod Cloud Car - Bespin security ship
Ultra-Light Assault Vehicle - the ULAV is a small atmospheric combat speeder

(R) Baas-class Space Station - Many were made and designed in the days of the Galactic Empire

B/SF-17 StarFortress - A heavy starbomber used to pound tough Imperial fortifications
BTL-A4 starbomber - Going as far back as the clone wars, this starbomber will give old imperial capital ships a run for their money
BTL-B starbomber - One of the less common versions of the Y-wing produced in the clone wars with slightly increased ordnance
TIE/D "Defender" - A bomber and starfighter hybrid with a three wing design
TIE/SA "Tie Bomber" Starbomber - On the faster side of bombers, it is a simple vehicle for destruction
"Y-TIE" Starbomber - It looks like its an abomination and definitely makes you ask "why?" though it remains a popular "Ugly starship"


-Interceptors & Snubfighters-

A-9 Vigilance interceptor - KDY's answer to the TIE starfighter
Alpha 3 Nimbus class starfighter - Also called the "V-wing", this interceptor is rarely seen in this day and age
ATL Defender starfighter - An interceptor meant for point defense in the early years of the New Republic
E-7 "E-wing" - As a snubfighter designed for escorting other ships with both new and old models available
FP series ML.VI - aka "Hawkbat" starfighter that boasts numerous weapons and great performance
I-7 "Howlrunner" starfighter - One of the last additions to the Galactic Empire's military before its demise
IRD starfighter - Originally manufactured over a century ago and still used to this day in the outer rim
Morningstar starfighter - A discontinued tri-foil designed starfighter by KDY
Pinook Armed Starhopper - Considered an 'ultra-light starfighter' it first grew in popularity thanks to it being very easy to get a license for
(R) RZ-1 Interceptor - Also known as an "A-wing" it is an amazing starfighter
(R) RZ-2 Interceptor - The successor to the RZ-1 and also an "A-wing" design
SX-18 Salamander - A snubfighter with a seat for a passenger
TIE/IN "Interceptor" Starfighter - 6 medium laser canons, speed and maneuverability is all you need if you're a real ace
V-21 "T-wing" Interceptor - A clone wars era starfighter that uses S foil design
V38 Assault starfighter - A snubfighter with a class 1 hyperdrive, navicomputer and whopping five medium laser cannons
Z-95 "Headhunter" Starfighter - The snubfighter that is the precursor to the famous X-wing with its own ion cannon

A/SF-01 "B-wing" Heavy Starfighter - Heavily armed and still nothing to scoff at even by today's standards
ARC-170 - A clone wars era multi-purpose heavy starfighter
(R) BD-626 Starblade starfighter - A newer line of starfighter on the market
Cloakshape starfighter - An old design but these days no two Cloakshapes are alike
C-wing Assault starfighter - An "Ugly" ship design using pieces from starfighters and light freighters to pack a punch
Dagger class starfighter - the precursor to the TIE/LN and its appearance not unlike the Tie Defender
Dianoga assault starfighter - Dating back decades prior to the clone wars, the heavy starfighter isn't the top of the line anymore
I-Beam starfighter - a design often made by the galderian slave traders
(R) LX-1 Light Attack ship - despite its name it is a heavy fighter
Preybird class starfighter - A heavy starfighter design with it's own refresher and micro-galley along with other small amenities
R-41 Starchaser - Clone Wars era starfighter with anti-droid starfighter focus
T-65B "X-wing" - Even the older models of the famous "x-wing" are still exceptional starfighters
T-65PT "X-wing" - Designed with a spot for a single prisoner and in turn favored by bounty hunters
T-70 "X-wing" - Better performance than its predecessors with an anti-personnel blaster too
T-70T "X-wing" trainer - Still capable of combat but meant primarily by budding starfighter pilots or law enforcement
(R) T-85 "X-wing" - No longer in service of the republic, this design is still used by other independent defense forces
(R) T-90 "X-wing - The most expensive "jack of all trades" starfighter with torpedoes instead of missiles
TI-3A starfighter - a.k.a. the "D-wing" is a notable design in starfighter history
TIE/EL "Elder" Starfighter - An uncommon multi-role starfighter for the pilot-mercenary
(R) TIE/FO "First Order" Starfighter - Lacking hyperdrive and shields just like its predecessor it is still capable of high performance
TIE/HU "Hunter" starfighter - Bearing an S foil characteristic, the hunter design is a more sophisticated version of the Elder design.
TIE/LN "Line" Starfighter - Mass produced and bare bones in terms of starfighters
TIE/LD "Light Duty" Starfighter - A bare bones TIE fighter with remote activated wing disassembly
TIE/RG "Ranger" Starfiighter - Longer range capabilities with a shield and hyperdrive
(R) TIE/SF "Special Forces" Starfighter - A little bit of everything it is one of the best well rounded starfighter designs
Toscan 8-Q - A common starfighter though considered unrefined despite still being useful
TYE starfighter - A.K.A. "Uglies" are scrapped together with duct tape and bubblegum, this is one of the easier and more common designs
V-19 "Torrent" starfighter - a Clone Wars era starfighter with dual concussion launchers
VCX- series auxilary starfighter - Made originally to be paired with the VCX-100 light freighter and also serve as a shuttle for the larger ship
XG-1 Starwing starfighter - influences taken from the lambda class shuttle
"War Baby" Starfighter - A decently designed ship pulling pieces from multiple starfighters
Z-95MK1 "Headhunter" Starfighter - Capable of better performance in atmosphere than most other starfighters


Pinnaces, Patrol Craft, Gunboats & Dropships


(R) Auzituck Anti-slaver gunship - A wookiee made gunship for fighting trando slavers
Blackfin class Blastboat - Seinar can make attack craft that aren't TIE variants and this one is deadly in all the best ways
BNG Patrol/Recon ship - A design of the Y-wing meant for scouting though technically a gunship
Firespray-31 - Both usable as a patrol and attack craft though it is known for being a high maintenance vessel
GAT-12 Skipray - A heavy attack craft that was one of the smallest designs the Empire first utilized
(R) Glaive Blastboat - Originally designed for a smuggler, the design provides extra protection for defying larger ships
HKD-600 assailant dropship - A gunship like design for military organizations to transport personnel
SS-54 light assault ship - An attempt by Botajef to move more into the military market popular with bounty hunters
UT-60D "U-wing" - This multi-purpose "starfighter" was used by the Rebels and the Resistance for transporting teams effectively while still being able to engage enemy ships
Y-45 Armored Transport Hauler - a dropship for hauling battlefield artillery

JS-77B - A rectangular shuttle for those planning on traveling between the stars though it lacks a navicomputer
Kappa class shuttle - a light transport shuttle developed in the early clone wars by Republic Sienar
LB-700 Passenger - Basically it's a space bus
Mneffe-Class Superluminal Shuttle - Older design though still used frequently for VIP transport and short haul trips
(F) (R) - SCS-20 Sojourn - A sophisticated and triangular shuttle for only the Jedi Order
Sheatheipede class transport shuttle - A clone wars era shuttle used by the CIS
Starwind Pleasure Yacht - A Kuat made luxury vessel
T-4A Lambda class Shuttle - Military based shuttle used by the empire for a long time
TIE-BR "TIE Boarder" Armored Shuttle - looks like a bomber but cuts into cornelian corvettes easily enough
TUG-B13 - aka "Quadrijet" is a transfer spacetug able to pull 500 tons externally
Xi-class shuttle - Used primarily by the First Order to ferry crew between vessels

-Freighters & Transports-

3-Z Light Freighter - A reverse engineered design but capable of competing against modern rival designs
5-555 "Quad Five" Express Courier - Lacking any weaponry this ship relies on faster than starfighter speeds and an amazing hyperdrive
578-R - An older design that was known for having numerous safety flaws that resulted in recalls
5-T Medium Freighter - While it's a medium freighter it can pull some major cargo and has even more impressive weapons for a freighter
Barloz class freighter - Less modular than th YT series but still an easily modifiable light freighter
BD-510 Stargale Light Courier - Blackwell made star skiff prioritizing less cargo for faster and more reliable delivery of cargo
BR=23 Courier - long range troop carrier

Function: Sensory Protection System
  • The dangers of loud noises and blinding lights are common when traveling close to celestial bodies or clearing houses. The SPS allows helmets to polarize quickly and prevent temporary or permanent blinding affects common with flashes of light. The same function also protects against damaging affects. It manages these effects to a bearable degree. Bright light will still cause squinting but prevent sun spots or lasting effects and loud noises will still be startling or detracting but allow the wearer to still hear everything else perfectly fine afterwards.

Standard Info

The HWK-290 can trace its origins back before the Clone Wars. CEC developed the ship to appeal to a different market than their popular YT series. The idea being to offer higher ranking corporate and government officials a reliable, fast, and maneuverable option for transporting important documents or cargo. To do this the ship was given a sleeker (at least by CEC standards) angular hull design, light armor, and no stock armaments.

Their ambitions unfortunately didn't pay off and the HWK-290 ended up as a commercial failure. The ship's niche design just didn't appeal to a wide market or even the market the ship had aimed for. Those who did buy it praised its hull design, quirky asymmetrical cockpit structure, and its handling. Buyers were also surprised to find a rather cozy living space that made the ship quite comfortable for long journeys.

The ship didn't experience a long production, as once the Clone Wars broke out in full CEC ceased production of the HWK-290. The company's focus went to the increased production of warships and the much more popular YT series of ships. Those who did own the ship usually went on to take advantage of the HWK-290's less advertised feature, its ease of modification. The ship allowed the easy tweaking of its engine systems and cargo spaces. It was even found that the ship's onboard computers could easily handle most aftermarket weapon systems. After a period it became unusual to see a stock HWK-290 on the hyperlanes.

Most began to think that this unique ship would be forgotten, just a footnote in the history of CEC. That changed after the fall of the Empire. In the years during the rise of the New Republic the idea of a smaller, reliable transport started to sound appealing. Mostly due to rampant criminal activity in the power vacuum left by the Empire. So CEC decided to see how the HWK series would fair in this new era with some small design adjustments. Most notable of which was an added medium laser turret and heavier armor plating to the stock model. CEC research showed that these were the 2 major changes that most made to the ship anyway and hoped it would make the ship more appealing to a general market.

The HWK's designers also decided to extend the ship's customization to include the ships controls. The newer models made most of the ships systems accessible from the pilot's seat, including sensors, navigation, and weapons. Though these systems cannot operate at full capacity without the aid of a copilot. The turret being locked into a forward position and navigation functions taking a few system cycles longer are examples of this. This was all done to appeal to an individual buyer instead crews.

CEC also updated the ship's interior with contemporary living quarters, refresher, and mini galley and smartly left the asymmetrical cockpit arrangement of the original. The new living quarters could easily be converted into a dining area with pull out table and seating. Some design changes made the ship more sluggish than the original, but it still outclassed larger ships of its class in terms of handling and speed. Focus testing at the time showed that most buyers appreciated the added security provided by the new turret and heavier armor.

The new ship would hit the market and would go on to sell very well. The design changes were just what the freighter needed and now it's not unusual to see a HWK-290 at any port in the galaxy. The ships filling roles from haulers to heavy starfighters (with the right modifications). CEC even produces limited runs of the ship every few years to drive sales and remind new generations about this unique ship.
Unique Details

Byron acquired the ship in the wake of losing his previous ship, the Skylark Horizon. This happened when Darth Malicia under the guise of a wounded stranger, put Byron in his ship's escape pod unconscious and left him stranded on Felucia. After that, the Jedi decided to not have an astromech and opted for a ship with a dedicated navicomputer. The man need he needed a new and reliable ship but wanted something different than before. He had considered a U wing both for it's availability and its history of performance. Part of Byron could appreciate the Incom brand. It was either that or an IFST light freighter model. But there was returning to the roots of any good pilot and spacer, Corellian engineering.

Aside from the obvious aesthetic appearance of the ship, the length of it has increased by a full meter thanks in part due to the fusial afterburners and modifications to the engines. While the sublight engines are upgraded, there has also been a backup hyperdrive installed. Byron keeps the backup powered down. A yellowbox for ship repairs is kept onboard at all times. Since the ship travels through space frequently, Byron keeps a spare flight suit and a fusion cutter onboard for emergencies. There is also an additional ground sweeper laser cannon though it is installed on the aft dorsal side of the ship and can have either the pilot or copilot use the controls to fire it. The increased fire power was requested by the Knight after looking to more of the Sith's space combat capabilities.





LEGALITY
Legal in all systems as the ship is seen as primarily a personal transport. Though smugglers have been known to use the ships, a HWK-290 would only get a passing glance unless outfitted with some serious armament.

INTENT
To add this lovely little canon/legends ship to the site for anybody who wants to use it. I also wanted to add a Razorcrest analogue to the site and figured the HWK would fit that role perfectly. I did make some slight alterations, but figured that would be natural after such a long time.

The Starwind-class pleasure yacht is a luxury spacecraft manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards. Originally intended as a light freighter to compete with the Corellian Engineering Corporation's famous YT line, the Starwind was converted into a luxury transport late in development, after KDY analysts judged that market segment to have greater profit potential than the already overcrowded light freighter market. In this role, the Starwind has been a modest success for KDY, appealing to a more pragmatic set who want a vessel which incorporates the lavish amenities of a personal yacht with the utility and ease of maintenance of a light freighter.

The Starwind is a mid-sized craft, 50 meters long with a crew of 5, plus 10 passengers and up to 20 tons of cargo. The type is equipped with a class 1 primary hyperdrive and has a top sublight speed of 50 MGLT; if this fails to keep it out of danger, it is also equipped with medium shields and a pair of quad laser cannons for defense. Should all else fail, the Starwind comes standard with a single escape pod capable of accommodating all passengers and crew; uniquely, this pod is equipped with its own class 10 hyperdrive, allowing it to escape the scene of an accident - or pirate attack - under its own power, rather than waiting to be rescued in-system.

The Starwind of course comes with all the best in luxury accommodations as well, including spacious staterooms for all passengers, dining and lounge areas, a well appointed galley and many other conveniences. Standard Info

The CloakShape is an archaic vessel originally produced by Kuat Systems Engineering, a now-defunct subsidiary of the venerable Kuat Drive Yards specializing in smaller aerospace vehicles such as starfighters. One of the division's most successful products prior to the Clone Wars, it is no longer produced; CloakShape space-frames are survivors, however, and are legendarily durable and upgradable, allowing many to endure even into the present day as competitive combat ships.

It is a popular axiom that there is no such thing as an "original" CloakShape. That is to say, almost all examples which exist in the present day have been modified in some form from their original specifications. No 2 CloakShapes are exactly alike, but certain modifications are so common as to be almost universal. Generally, CloakShapes are single-pilot craft, equipped with dual medium laser cannons and a quartet of concussion missiles. In their stock form, they do not possess shielding or hyperdrive capability, but after over 200 years in service the vast majority have been upgraded with at least light shields and a class 4 hyperdrive, with either an integrated navicomputer or an in-cockpit astromech droid socket to perform hyperspace calculations. Sublight performance is middling, with a top speed of 90 MGLT and at least decent maneuverability.

CloakShapes are no longer as common as they once were, but are still in use in some parts of the Galaxy. They can generally be found in the hands of badly outdated or cash-strapped planetary militias, low-tier mercenaries, pirates and fringers.
Unique Details

Byron acquired the ship after Denon. An older design that would perhaps draw less attention but still provide ofensive capabilities, Byron made some small modifications to comply with the updated Jedi Order mandates with a vector class weapons lock. Given the Cloakshape fighter's history it was already heavily modified when it came into Byron's possession.

Byron keeps the backup hyperdrive powered down and is aware of the arhcaic design that can be somewhat tempermental. Since the ship travels through space frequently, Byron keeps a spare flight suit and a fusion cutter onboard for emergencies. There is also an additional ground sweeper laser cannon though it is installed on the aft dorsal side of the ship though it also still requires vector weapons lock perameters be met. The increased fire power was already in place and reminded the Knight of the similar newer design found in T-70 or T-90 series X-wings.




LEGALITY
Restricted. Cloakshape fighters are starfighters, and are subject to extra licensing requirements and increased scrutiny by authorities.

The KS-9910 Kathol-class skiff is a light freighter produced by the Hoersch-Kessel Drive corporation. Among the faster light freighters on the market, it is widely used by express courier services, as well as certain less-than-reputable independent spacers.

The Kathol-class skiff - named, incidentally, for the famously rugged Kathol sector - is a swift machine, capable of making 85 MGLT, with a class 1 hyperdrive giving it excellent speed over interstellar distances as well. Based off of the old Core Ship designs made infamous during The Clone Wars, this updated version serves as a central hub for deepspace mining, shipping or manufacturing operations, acting as a a base of operations for manufacturing and resource extraction projects. Eager to distance themselves from the Lukrehulk pattern of old, these ships are fully operational ships in their own right, and are designed to be piloted and controlled with minimal organic oversight.

Stryx Guard Armor

Named after a macabre tale of a wise owl who judges the souls of the dead on their way to the afterlife, the truth of the matter is that the Stryx was the name of a Mandalorian armorer that lived on Tirahnn. Stryx Wren, founded the Stryx Guard, inspired by Bo-Katan and her Night Owls, her own cell of warriors survived and evaded the dangers of the galaxy.

Working their craft and surviving in secret amid the masses on Tirahnn, Stryx and her Guard gained favor for their reliability among the Merchant Princes of Tirahnn. Over the course of years, the secretive group were buffered from the Empire and their transition into modern day galaxy continued.

Having been privy to the engagements of former General of the republic Solomahal, Stryx Wren utilized her knowledge of covert work and disguising her and those that fought alongside her. Their group are believed to even had been a cell working against the Emperor with a source of intelligence in the Red Guard under the Emperor. Origins relating to Thyrsus Sun Guard[, who during an extended period of time utilized the surplus of phase I clone trooper armor. From there it is speculateced further designs became more common on Tirahnn and occasionally along the trade routes.

Restricted but legal. Stryx Guard armor is a specific design and only found crafted by specific Tirahnn armorer guilds. Making them requires a license and even further permission must be granted personally by one of the Merchant Princes (or someone of equivelant influence) since they are only used by the.

The basic ability that the commonly used weapon range finder is also found in macrobinocular models, heads up displays and some sniper rifle scopes with some differences. Numerous companies sell modular rangefinders though all of them are in meteric since the demographic and trend of recreational shooters and career marksman prefer metric over some examples as Glekks, Trogan meters, or even Imperial since the numerous cases of 'Empires' have tyrannical associations.

The modular rangefinder has a small readout along it's side that it projects either as a clear hologram which can be pre-bought in certain languages provided the retailer sells them. Some versions exist where they can be fully integrated into the weapon for a custom piece but most often are simply kept as a removable module.

Legal where weapon mods are legal. Some may only be legal for adults to own depending on local laws but usually is only enforced on heavily populated planets.

The YT-1300 light freighter is a versatile transport ship designed and manufactured by the venerable Corellian Engineering Corporation in the decades prior to the Clone Wars. One of the best-selling spacecraft in recent Galactic history, it is part of CEC's YT series. The Millennium Falcon, chariot to the heroes of the Rebel Alliance and Resistance, and one of the most famous ships in the Galaxy, is a YT-1300.

The YT-1300 is a freighter pilot's ship, designed for easy upkeep and customization with good reliability and a highly modular design. The type was originally available in two main variants, the YT-1300f, optimized for cargo, and the YT-1300p, which was set up as a passenger hauler. Over time, CEC recognized that most pilots wanted a combination of these capabilities, and thus the YT-1300fp was created, quickly supplanting the other two layouts. Most existing YT-1300s are of this configuration, or have been retrofitted into an approximation of it.

It is said that no two YT-1300s are exactly the same; after decades of service, those that still exist have mostly been jury-rigged or modified to some degree. This being said, the average YT-1300 is capable of 50 MGLT top speed, has a class 2 hyperdrive, space for 6 passengers in addition to the crew and can carry about 100 standard tons of cargo. In the event of an emergency, most YT-1300s are equipped with a single 6-being escape pod, as well as 5 single-being escape pods. For defense, the ship is equipped with a medium deflector screen, plus a pair of dual medium laser turrets, located on dorsal and ventral mounts.

Considered antiques in the modern era, YT-1300 freighters are finally starting to disappear from the space-lanes, but there still exists an active community of owners, and CEC still supports the model with official replacement parts, although finding actual factory components on a YT-1300 in the modern era is considered a laughable proposition. The type is used across the Galaxy, and can be found in service to legitimate traders and smugglers alike.

Of note, within the YT-1300 owners community there exists a small but vocal sub-group of "Falconers" who modify their ships to resemble the Millennium Falcon as closely as possible. They are opposed by "purists" within the community, who see this modification as being over-done, and who decry the act of cutting up a perfectly good YT-1300 with Falcon-style mods as a loss to their heritage.

The Q8 quicksilver blaster pistol is the successor to Blastech's popular L7 Liquidsilver light blaster pistol. The Q8 is primarily made up of the same parts from L7 in terms of internal structure. The YT-1000 was well specced in its day, but is considered inferior to most other vessels of its class in the present. DESCRIPTION
The CCM-220 series was the more successful light freighters of the CCM line. The earlier models on the CCM line were the result of a joint venture originally by the Corellia Mining Corporation and Corellia Engineering Corporation. They chose to deviate from the from the iconic disc design of the YT series but still can find many of these ships used today in the shipping lanes and around mining operations or in the wake of their excavation projects.

The ship was well received for it's rear access hatch with docking tube. The large open central space has become popular with some people who prefer it over the halls and smaller compartments. This is usually filled with cargo and is especially helpful when moving large amounts of ore or abnormal cargo. Entire speeders as well as livestock are sometimes transported in this manner.

While primarily in use by mining corporations they work well as transports in any industry. A minimal crew of two is needed to fly the ship and operate it though a tractor beam technician and a medical specialist aid allow for all facilities to be used at effectively. A high resolution sensor suite allows the light freighter to aid in terms of terrestrial scanning and astronomical bodies though is not meant for combat use. Medium deflector shields allow the light freighter to take some hits. This, in conjunction with its two twin linked laser cannons is usually enough for most owners to be satisfied. However, there are some that apprciate the CCM-220 also has a relatively low maintenance cost.

There are some concerning flaws for some in the CCM-220's design. The open central compartment has raised concerns in the event that the ship were to lose pressure. The cockpit possesses the ability to detached and jettison itself as an escape pod. The class 15 backup hyperdrive as well as the navicomputer are housed here. But the ship, even its freight based design, has the ability to transport an additional four guests though there is not a separate escape pod for them. This has led to aftermarket escape pods, similar to the YT dart, except added to the aft of the ship. Others often went with simply adding a few additional class 1 escape pods on the ship to avoid the occasional fine from sector security.

LEGALITY
Legal. Light freighters such as the YT-1000 are considered innocuous enough under most jurisdictions, and are not restricted in most systems..

INTENT
To add to the different styles of light freighters and have an 'open floor' style light freighter that can also be used as a setting for future threads.
