”I can give you copies of some articles about these creatures. I also think that Master Traylessend will start to teach about it soon.” he never thought that there could be so many plants and animals in the Galaxy that were Force sensitive. It was another interesting topic to study about.
Elidan noticed that Clove seemed to be uncomfortable with his question about Thustra. The girl probably didn’t have a good experience with the Pure Sephi. He should have stayed in silence, the last thing that he wanted was to make her feel bad.
He was already going to apologize and inform her that she didn’t need to say anything, but stopped when Clove started to talk. So what he had read about the Sephi was true, they don’t tolerate half-Sephi, to the point of forbidding one of them to return to Thustra because of it. It was terrible.
“I avoid Master Sevrin, too. After I read how pure Sephis are with people like us, I started to think that he is intimidating.” he explained to Clove. Elidan never told anyone else how he felt about it. “Even if everyone says that he is nice in his own way, I still feel uncomfortable near him.” Sevrin was also a prince and it made the auburn-haired even more nervous.
When Clove asked about his family, now was Elidan’s turn to become uncomfortable. He felt tempted in not answering it, but she already opened up to him. It would only be fair if he did the same. “I never met my parents. I joined the Order when I was three years old, before that I lived in an orphanage on Chardaan.” then he pulled out his necklace, which was hidden under his shirt, and showed it to her. “I have had it since I was a baby. I think that one of them left it with me.”
Even with the Jedi Order being his family, Elidan was still curious to know who his parents were. However, after this conversation he was afraid that they would have abandoned him because he was a half-Sephi. It was the only logical explanation. “Would you like to someday visit Thustra with me?” he asked Clove, even with the prejudice, he always wanted to visit this planet. “I know that they would look down at us, but we are better than a bunch of prejudiced centenary people. They shouldn’t stop us from knowing the place from where we came from.”
Didn’t take much time for Clove to change her clothes and to return. Before Elidan could answer her question, Asadra returned. “The cab is already waiting for us. I discovered that there is a stop for it in front of the hotel.” she laughed nervously about it, a bit ashamed for not having noticed it when they arrived.
“Come!” she said and started to walk out the room, with Elidan following her. If Clove didn’t start another conversation, they would arrive at the cab in silence.
