I can give you copies of some articles about these creatures. I also think that Master Traylessend will start to teach about it soon.” he never thought that there could be so many plants and animals in the Galaxy that were Force sensitive. It was another interesting topic to study about.

Elidan noticed that Clove seemed to be uncomfortable with his question about Thustra. The girl probably didn’t have a good experience with the Pure Sephi. He should have stayed in silence, the last thing that he wanted was to make her feel bad.

He was already going to apologize and inform her that she didn’t need to say anything, but stopped when Clove started to talk. So what he had read about the Sephi was true, they don’t tolerate half-Sephi, to the point of forbidding one of them to return to Thustra because of it. It was terrible.

I avoid Master Sevrin, too. After I read how pure Sephis are with people like us, I started to think that he is intimidating.” he explained to Clove. Elidan never told anyone else how he felt about it. “Even if everyone says that he is nice in his own way, I still feel uncomfortable near him.” Sevrin was also a prince and it made the auburn-haired even more nervous.

When Clove asked about his family, now was Elidan’s turn to become uncomfortable. He felt tempted in not answering it, but she already opened up to him. It would only be fair if he did the same. “I never met my parents. I joined the Order when I was three years old, before that I lived in an orphanage on Chardaan.” then he pulled out his necklace, which was hidden under his shirt, and showed it to her. “I have had it since I was a baby. I think that one of them left it with me.”

Even with the Jedi Order being his family, Elidan was still curious to know who his parents were. However, after this conversation he was afraid that they would have abandoned him because he was a half-Sephi. It was the only logical explanation. “Would you like to someday visit Thustra with me?” he asked Clove, even with the prejudice, he always wanted to visit this planet. “I know that they would look down at us, but we are better than a bunch of prejudiced centenary people. They shouldn’t stop us from knowing the place from where we came from.

Didn’t take much time for Clove to change her clothes and to return. Before Elidan could answer her question, Asadra returned. “The cab is already waiting for us. I discovered that there is a stop for it in front of the hotel.” she laughed nervously about it, a bit ashamed for not having noticed it when they arrived.

Come!” she said and started to walk out the room, with Elidan following her. If Clove didn’t start another conversation, they would arrive at the cab in silence.

"Sure, I'd like a copy! Master Traylessend... Oh, they're the Morellian teacher, aren't they?" They've had a lot of teachers, and Clove wasn't always the best at remembering names. So more often than not, she remembered the teachers' faces rather than their names. "Interesting, well, if they hold that lesson, I'll make sure to be there as well. Sounds like a fun subject!

It was relieving to know that Elidan shared her feelings about Sephi, and thus Master Sevrin. It wasn't exactly fair to pass judgment on an entire species or any individual within it. It was completely unjust. But it was difficult not to be intimidated. "Yeh. I understand what you're saying. It always makes me feel bad afterward, but whenever I'm in front of him, I just... can't control my anxiousness, you know?"

At the sight of the necklace, the half-Sephi's head tilted to the right. She wasn't exactly surprised to learn that a Jedi was an orphan. Many Jedi were drawn to the Jedi order because their parents abandoned them or died, and as a result, the children found their way to the order. Either because they were given to them or because they were discovered by the Jedi. But that didn't make the news any less heartbreaking. "I'm sorry, Elidan. That's awful. The necklace is beautiful though and looks to have been made with a lot of love." Clove smiled faintly as she lifted her eyes to meet his.

Going to Thustra?

"Eh?" She flinched visibly at the unexpected question. On second thought, she should've seen it coming; an orphan boy asking for information about one of his parents' home planet was a dead giveaway. Even so, the idea of going to Thustra was terrifying.

Why would anyone go to a place filled with people who, for all intents and purposes, would rather see you dead?

However, one glance at Elidan's face was enough to convince her. She couldn't say no to him, and he had a valid point: why flee from a place of fear rather than face it head-on? So, after staring at him in silence for a few seconds, she took a deep breath and exhaled deeply. "Fine. But! Only if you can get some sort of permission from a Jedi Knight."

Clove only needed Asadra's guilty and nervous laugh to untangle the tension in her neck and shoulders caused by the Thustra conversation. "What a luxury. Well, let's not make the cab driver wait, shall we?" The half-Sephi sprang to her heels and followed Asadra out of the room, towards the cab. She had been trying to think of a way to start a conversation with Elidan but couldn't think of anything to say. So she walked in silence, safe in the knowledge that there would be plenty to talk about during their tour of the museum.

I understand. Sometimes I can’t control my anxiety too.” Elidan knew very well what Clove was talking about. He was used to being anxious in some situations or around some people. This used to happen when he was with Zana or when he did something wrong in front of others.

While Clove remained in silence because of his invitation to go to Thrustra with him, Elidan felt that perhaps he should have said nothing about this silly desire of him. The girl had already told him how her mother basically forbade her from going there and he still tried to convince her to do the opposite. It was obvious that she was going to say no.

However, to his surprise Clove had agreed. “Of course! Maybe we could have a Jedi Knight to go with us.” even with her going with him, Elidan would feel better if a Knight also went with them. He was curious to know the planet where one of his parents was born, but he was also afraid of what the pure Sephi could do with two half-Sephi children.

They left their room and walked to the front of the hotel, where they took the cab. With Clove in silence during the entire trip, Elidan started to think that it was due to their talk about Thustra and the pure Sephi. He hoped that it didn’t kill her good mood about this trip, she seemed to be so happy about it early.

After a short trip, they arrived at the Oceanarium. In Elidan’s opinion, the entrance hall was already amazing. From the ceiling, being held by steel cables, was the skeleton of the juvenile Sando Aqua Monster. There were some small tanks with colorful fishes swimming around, while tourists stared at them in wonder.

They stopped in front of a table where a model of the Oceanarium was inside a glass case“I’m going to buy our entrance tickets, you can wait for me there.” Asadra said, before walking away. There was a small queue, so it would not take long for the Twi’lek to buy it.

Elidan turned to the model and typed a message to Clove. “Look! The building was made with the form of a marine creature that lives at the seas of Sesid. Isn’t it cool?” he pointed to the glass case. Then he pointed to the huge skeleton in the ceiling. “This is the Sando Aqua Monster that I told you about. It had more than 150 m and was still a juvenile. Now imagine a full adult!

Despite being silent throughout the trip, Clove's mood visually brightened as they approached the Oceanarium. And by the time they got there, the girl was bouncing back on her toes, grasping Elidan's wrist and following him to the table.

It was beautiful. Nothing else could be said about it. Nothing could top the fact that the whole Oceanarium was designed to resemble a creature. With eyes sparkling with joy and awe, Clove leaned over the model as much as she could until the sound of fingers typing on a screen alerted her to glance up. "No way! I didn't know at all. I mean, it looks like a creature, but I had no idea it came from Sesid's oceans! Oh, my gosh, it's stunning!"

Clove finally got a good look at something that was quite difficult to overlook as he pointed to the ceiling. A gigantic skeleton suspended from the ceiling, held up only by steel beams and wires. And it was all she had hoped it would be, and then some.

The half-Sephi merely stood there for a minute, looking up at the skeleton. It was so unreal, something straight out of her childhood fantasies, that witnessing it with her own eyes seemed like something she didn't deserve. And while she watched, she was reminded of why she had left her family's farm to begin with. To experience the wonders of the universe, to study the things she had always dreamed of, and, most importantly, to help preserve it all. To make sure that creatures like these always have a safe home they can go back to, instead of a war-infested planet.

Feeling as if she was about to linger, Clove really needed a few seconds to shake herself out of it and get back into the present. But if she had to be honest, it felt near impossible to ditch the emotions that rushed through her body. Still, regardless of those emotions, she returned her gaze to Elidan who was already typing away cheerfully.

"Look at how huge the creature's head is, Elidan, I swear by the Force! I can't even imagine how big the grownups are! Also, this building is very strong; imagine just how heavy those bones must be. And yet somehow despite all that, it looks as if it's floating around in the ocean, joyfully drifting away!"

Yes, it turned out this vacation was exactly what she needed, and this was only the start.

Clove’s excitement was really contagious. The way that she looked at everything with wonder was adorable, cute even. In the boy’s opinion, this look suited the girl well. This made her look more pretty. At this moment, Elidan frowned. It was starting to be common for him to think that other of his fellow Padawans were cute or pretty. He knew that he had a crush on Zana because she was smart, nice and pretty.

However, he thought that Clove was also this way. Does it mean that he was going to have a crush on her? Then there was also Ruzaan, who he also considered cute, nice and clever. The Padawan was certain that he liked girls, so his opinion and feelings about the Togruta still confused him.

Elidan decided to think about that in another moment and focus on this vacation. “Yes! It’s so cool! The creature is called tartaroukhos and lives deep in the sea, only coming out to lay eggs on the beaches.” he explained to the girl. “The adults have 7 m of length, but the young are very fragile. The Oceanarium has a project where they collect the eggs and free the babies in the ocean once they hatch.

At this point, Asadra returned. She was carrying three passes and gave one each to the Padawans. “Now we can go.” this way, they could enter the Oceanarium. The first room that they entered was filled with aquariums of species that lived at Sesid. There were copies of coral reefs, where several colorful fishes were swimming.

In the middle of the room there was the largest one. Inside it there was an elongated creature that looked more like a serpent than a fish. “It’s an Anguilli. They were one of the most dangerous predators of the planet, but not the largest.” Elidan explained to Clove. If someone looked close to the creature, they would be able to see what seemed to be electricity coursing through its body. “The Anguilli hunts their prey by stunning them with powerful shocks that its body can produce.

Until it was time to check-in, the half-Sephi clutched the pass in her hands. She smiled as she greeted the man who checked her pass and wished him a good day before following the others into the first room. They were greeted by a rainbow of colorful fish and coral, as well as the sight of sunlight breaking through the water of the containers and dancing in waves on the floor.

It was beautiful.

Clove, unsure of where to begin, decided to simply follow Elidan to the largest tank in the middle, which was displaying a long creature. That one looked so strange, you couldn't even call it a fish. Clove leaned closer to the window after reading Elidan's message and stared at the creature. "Woah! I think I see the electricity! Look over there, right there!" The half-Sephi excitedly pointed to the glass, making sure not to touch it to avoid startling the creature. "It makes you wonder how they manage to generate that much electricity. I don't think it's the Force. It has to be a small organ..."

She caught something else in the corner of her eyes before she could linger on that question. It was a smaller tank with small see-through fish with large elegant flowy fins and shimmering iridescent dots on their sides. Clove hopped over to the tank and leaned over a small information board, clearly excited. "They're known as the Loniani Ghosts! Their transparency acts as an effective natural camouflage, the dots for mating." She explained to whoever had followed her to the tank. "As a result, they have very few natural enemies, and most die of old age rather than being eaten." She hummed for a moment before looking at Elidan with a puzzled expression on her face. "Does that mean they're Apex predators even though they're not predators? They don't exactly hunt other fish."

The half-Sephi could gaze at the swirling small fish for hours, their large fins trailing behind them as if it was an art performance. The very clear view of their small organs was especially fascinating. Their small, bright red heart was beating faster than she'd expected. Still, Clove was aware that there were two other people with her, so she straightened her back and turned around to face them.

"Hmm, where should we go next?" Even just in this one hall, there were so many beautiful fish to see. "Which creature do you want to see, Master Asadra?"

Elidan watched Clove approach the glass and look with wonder at the Anguilli. When the girl pointed to the fish and said that she could see the electricity, the auburn-haired boy approached and looked at where she was pointing. It was true, if you paid attention to the creature's body, it was possible to see some sparks crossing it.

I read that they have three pairs of abdominal organs that are responsible for producing electricity. These organs make up four fifths of their body, and give them the ability to generate low voltage and high voltage.” he explained. It was interesting how nature was able to produce this ability without being related to the Force.

When Clove went to see another tank, Elidan followed her. Inside it there were some magnificent fishes. The Loniani Ghosts, the Padawan had read about these animals before. They were survivors, but at the same time they were pacific and even docile. “I think not, because they don’t eat other creatures. They also don’t attack, being very gentle. There are even people that have these fish at home.

During the entire time that the Padawans were looking at the fishes, Asadra had remained in silence, only watching the interactions between the two. She was happy that two of her patients were opening to each other. She smiled when Clove talked to her, the Twi’lek didn’t had anything in specific that she wanted to see, but after saying a board about the uiara of G’wenee, she had an idea. “Well, we could go see Hilbert and Gilda, they are a couple of uiaras from G’wenee. They also do tricks.

Clove listened intently as Elidan explained the apex predators and how that lovely ghost fish was not one of them. Then Elidan spoke, or wrote, the magical words. There's people who have these fish at home. It was all she needed to get her engine cranked up to full throttle. Her eyes widened, and she shuffled closer to the boy. "It's possible to have these fish at home!? Do the ..." She lowered her voice to a whisper and said, "Do the Jedi allow pets? I have enough room in my dorm for a large fish tank! Elidan, I'd love to buy one! Give it a long and happy life!"

Clove was still giddy with excitement when they returned to Asadra and asked her where she wanted to go. The idea of seeing Hilbert and Gilda fueled that excitement even more. "Yes! I'd love to see that. As long as they aren't harmed. I'm sure they'll be well-treated, right?" She frowned briefly before turning her gaze to Elidan. "How about you? Do you want to see them?"

While she waited for Elidan's response, she noticed the Uiara board. And If the boy with the autumn red hair agreed, she wasted no time in marching off towards the area where they'd perform the tricks, her curls bouncing up and down with every excited skip. "I really like the names Hilbert and Gilda. It reminds me of an old married couple from one of those holo-sitcoms." She started rambling.

Elidan became a bit surprised when Clove shuffled close to him. He didn’t expect that she would show so much interest for the Loniani Ghosts. “The Order of the past didn’t allow the Jedi to have attachments, pets were included in it. But now I think that it isn’t a problem anymore. I think that you could have a tank with them.” he always wanted to have a pet too, but never had the opportunity for that. Having some fish could be cool.

After Clove asked him if he wanted to see the uiaras, Elidan nodded excitedly. He never saw these creatures before, but had heard articles about how they were smart and elegant while swimming. There was also a theory that said how these animals could be Force sensitive and even semi-sentient. The Padawan always thought that it was an exaggeration.

He would follow the other two Jedi to where the tank of the uiaras was located, while agreeing with Clover’s comment. Hilbert and Gilda were indeed two funny names. He wondered who did it to them. Perhaps a scientist that was a fan of holo-sitcoms. When the three arrived at the room, they saw several tanks with aquatic and marine creatures of the planet G’wenee. The largest one contained the two uiaras and mimicked their habitat in the rivers of their homeworld.

The auburn-haired boy ran to the tank, to be able to see the creatures. The uiaras were large aquatic mammals, with characteristic pink skin and long snout. Hilbert and Gilda were so flexible, doing movements while swimming that if he tried to copy, Elidan was certain that he would break his back.

While he watched the creatures, Elidan noticed how they suddenly started to approach the glass. Many tourists that were also looking at the animals started to excitedly take pictures of them. The uiaras stopped in front of the Padawan and seemed to be looking directly at him with their small eyes.

Then he started to heard a low sound, as if it was a whisper. However, it wasn't coming from around him. It was being said directly on his mind. Since Grandmaster Voran taught him how to talk telepathicaly, Elidan had trained how to make mental defenses. This way, these voices were barely being able to penetrate his mind without his permission. He turned to Clove, wondering if it was her who was doing that.

Clove followed Elidan without hesitation and ran alongside him to the tank. The other tanks barely caught her attention as she ran past them because they weren't the reason they came to the room. She wanted to see the couple! And, much to her surprise, Hilbert and Gilda were adorable. Their swimming, their pink skin, their long snouts, and, oh, their swimming style! The uiaras quickly rose to the top of her list of the most beautiful animals she'd ever seen.

She wasn't biased because of their pink skin, no-no.

While admiring the beauty within the tanks, she let out a dreamy sigh. She secretly wished she could dive into the tank and make friends with them. Swim and dance with them, and forget about the rest of the world for a few moments. Or maybe take them to the ocean! And explore the beautiful coral reefs and large lily pads!

The girl was so immersed in her own thoughts that she barely didn't notice something swirling past her, heading straight for Elidan. Barely, but not completely. She took her gaze away from the window and looked around the room, only to notice the autumn-haired boy staring at her. "Huh? What's going on?"

Nothing. They are pretty animals, aren’t they?” Elidan decided to not tell Clove how the uiaras staring at him were creeping him out. The Padawan felt stupid for even thinking that the animals were looking directly at him. They were probably only curious with the people looking at them through the glass.

Did you know that these animals needed to be captured as young as possible? I heard an article saying that they form strong familial bonds.” it was interesting how even some animals loved their families. “When an adult is captured, they rarely survive the stress of being separated from their family. The young still didn’t have these bonds, so they are capable of surviving more easily.

Before Clove could be furious with the possibility that the two animals in the tank were captured still as babies, Elidan quickly explained their life story. “I read that Hilbert and Gilda were orphans of two groups that died during a drought that afflicted the region of the Great River of G’wenee.” it made him think how these animals were like him, they were also orphans.

Since they were too young and this Oceanarium was the only place prepared to take care of them, the two were sent there.” even if they were far away from their homeworld, being there meant that the uiaras would have a new chance to live. “The practice of capturing babies in nature is forbidden in G’wenee.

The boy turned back to look at the uiaras on the tank. The animals seemed to be still looking at him, but he noticed that they would occasionally turn to Clove. Elidan looked directly at the eyes of one of the creatures, noticing how small they were, probably it was an adaptation to live in the dark waters of the rivers of their homeworld.

Suddenly, the Padawan felt a headache, as if someone was trying to stab his head with a knife. He brought his two hands to hold his head, while fragmented images bombarded his mind. The last thing that he remembers was looking at Clove before everything went black.

The Padawan looked at Elidan, perplexed; what did he mean by 'nothing'? She felt it. Still, if he said it was nothing, she'd believe him. So her puzzled expression faded quickly, giving way to a happy smile as she continued reading his datapad. "Yeh! They are very pretty, I love their skin color so much. Almost like cotton candy!"

Elidan continued to explain more about the animals, and her expression gradually faded. While the underlying message of how much they cared and loved their family stole her heart, the thought of people stealing their children at such a young age broke it twice as fast. But, before these feelings could explode, the autumn-haired boy quickly shifted the subject to Hilbert and Gilda, who were orphaned at a young age.

"Oh, those poor little things. They must have been devastated when their family died... Well, I'm glad they've found a good home with a new family here. And I'm even happier that such despicable behavior is forbidden on their home planet." She was about to launch into a long rant about how unethical it was when Elidan turned away and focused on the couple in the tank.

Clove curiously followed his gaze and noticed the two beautiful creatures staring at him. Their gaze shifted to her every now and then for a split second, but it always returned to Elidan. How odd. Perhaps it was the color of his hair. His hair could almost look like a flame dancing in the darkness in the right light, or so she thought anyway.

Not long after they started looking at the two creatures, there was another ripple in the force, almost as if it was telling her something, warning her that something was going to happen. And then it happened: Elidan looked at her, grasping his head with both hands, before collapsing to the ground.

"Elidan!" Clove yelled while dropping herself onto the ground next to him.

People crowded around the two pointy-eared children, but Clove ignored them. Her face went blank as her fingers danced over his wrist, searching for a pulse, her ear close to his mouth, listening for breathing. Thankfully, both were present, so she didn't have to give him first aid. Oh, how she wished she could use the Force right now, but the crowd of people surrounding them made her realize she couldn't do it so openly.

People didn't seem to enjoy Force users actually using the Force.

"Asadra!?" The girl yelled as she leaned over Elidan's body, trying to figure out what had caused him to faint. "He doesn't look injured in any way, I think we have to bring him back to the hotel room."

While Elidan and Clove were looking at the uiaras, Asadra had stayed behind. So far this trip has been a success. The two Padawans were opening themselves to each other and having some distraction from the traumas that they suffered. The Healer hoped that the benefits of this trip would continue even after they returned to the Temple.

However, suddenly everything seemed to go wrong. She saw Elidan falling on the floor and Clove screaming for her. Without thinking, the Twi’lek ran to where they were, pushing through the crowd that had formed around the boy. Some of them would yelp in surprise or curse. She ignored them, only caring for the Padawan that was unconscious on the floor.

The Healer kneeled next to the boy and gently touched his cheek. “Elidan, can you hear me?” he didn’t react. “Clove, what happened? Did you see why he fainted?” Asadra feared what could have happened to him. Perhaps she could use the Force to discover it, but the people around them could react poorly with the presence of Jedi. The people that were taking pictures of the uiaras had formed a circle around them, now being more interested in knowing what had happened with the boy.

Meanwhile, Elidan was lost in his subconscious. Several disconnected images were passing through his mind, trying to come together and form something coherent. It was confusing. There were scenes of a river of G’wenee, a crowd and a wall of glass. He wondered how he knew that this river was from this planet.

He also started to be overwhelmed by strange feelings. There was panic and confusion, but it wasn’t coming from him. It was coming from someone else, but who? Then the image of the two uiaras flashed on his mind. This made Elidan open his eyes. He was back at the Aquarium, with Asadra and Clove. While he was confused with what had happened, the Padawan didn’t notice that the two creatures were watching the scene.

Clove had never been happier to see Asadra, and seeing her rush over to Elidan and touch his cheek sent waves of relief through her body. Because, while the danger was still there, she wasn't alone in it. "I'm not sure! I... sensed... something, and then he looked at me, holding his head, before passing out!"

She was already creating a number of strategies in her head for getting Elidan out of the aquarium and back into the hotel room, where they could use the Force to figure out what was going on. But, to her relief, it wasn't necessary; Elidan's eyelids fluttering once, then twice, before opening and revealing his ocean green eyes. Clove inhaled deeply before wrapping her arms around him and pulling him into an embrace. Her emotions were running high, and the blank mask she wore during medical situations began to break as warm tears of relief streamed down her cheeks. "Elidan, you scared the living daylights out of me!"

After holding him for as long as Elidan and Asadra would let her, Clove slowly let go and began to back away, until she was sitting on her knees. "I'm sorry-" She sniffled and rubbed her nose against the inside of her elbow. Gross. "Are you all right? Are you able to sit up? What happened?"

The barrage of questions was her way of gradually regaining control, because she had not only startled herself with her sudden burst of tears, but she also couldn't meditate for the time being. So any breather she could get by refocusing her attention on Elidan was much appreciated. Plus, they were genuine questions as well; what had actually happened?

Even after Elidan woke up, he still felt a bit dizzy. The images that the boy saw while he was passed out were still on his mind, becoming more clear when he closed his eyes. The Padawan didn’t know why it happened, he never saw the places depicted in these images before. It was as if someone had injected it into his mind. He felt so confused with it.

Before he could say anything or even get up from the floor, Elidan felt a pair of arms circling around him. Clove was hugging. He didn’t know exactly how to react to that. The few times that he hugged someone before was with Zana when they were children, and mostly recently with Ruzaan during their investigation. These times didn’t confuse him because they were his friends and hugs were normal among friends.

Then it hit. Does it mean that Clove was his friend? While she was nice with him all the time that they were on this trip, the auburn-haired boy saw her more as a colleague rather than a friend. Since the massacre on Ajan Kloss, Elidan never considered others as close friends. For some time, only Zana had this privilege. Then he met Ruzaan. They lived so many things together in a short period of time that it was obvious that they were true friends. The Togruta was even the first person to hear his voice after so many years.

Now Clove was hugging him and she was crying too. It wasn’t something normal for colleagues to do. For Elidan, all the Padawans that were sympathetic to him were considered as his colleagues. However, if the girl wanted to be his friend, the boy would not deny that. She was really nice and fun to talk with.

After coming to this conclusion, the boy moved his arms until he was also hugging Clove and smiling. This symbolized him embracing their friendship. He only hoped that Thelian would not be a jealous guy. If the rumors were true and the two were dating each other, Elidan didn’t want to have the other being mad with him due to a misunderstanding.

He hugged Clove for some time until finally letting her go. Then, he picked up his Datapad and typed a message on it. “I’m fine. I think that I’m only a bit tired because of the time in space.” Elidan decided to let the images that appeared on his mind as a secret, at least for now. Maybe he could talk about it with his friend later.

Do you mind if we go to the mall now? I think that I’m tired of this place.” he was now aware of the crowd watching them. They were whispering to each other and the boy was certain that they were talking about him. Elidan quickly got up from the floor, while trying to avoid looking at the people. He was so distracted by his shame that he didn’t notice the two river uiaras inside the tank. If someone that saw them believed that they were sentient, would think that the creatures were having fun with the entire scene.

Just a little bit tired of time in space? No, Clove didn't buy it. You don't get the look of utter despair before passing out if you're just a little tired. Her doubts were visible in her eyes, but she didn't say anything about them. There wasn't much room to argue anyway, because the autumn-haired boy wanted to leave and go to the mall instead.

The half-Annfyn was completely oblivious to his shame or the two river uiaras who were still staring. But that didn't stop her from hooking her arm around his in a friendly manner, if he let her, and following him towards the doors; if he wanted to go, he wanted to go, and she wasn't going to stop him.

Clove began to hum as they approached the front doors. "Are you certain you want to go shopping at the mall? We could also take a break at the hotel. Maybe get some lunch delivered?" Despite the fact that she meant the offer to take a break, she was giddy with excitement at the prospect of going shopping. She's in desperate need of a new dress. And! It sounded incredible to dress Elidan in something other than Jedi robes. She had a few ideas for what would look good with his pale skin and fiery red hair.

Elidan felt relieved for Clove believing in what he had said. He didn’t know what exactly had happened. It was as if he had started to see several memories that weren’t his. The auburn-haired boy didn’t want to talk about what he felt until he could understand it. When they return to the Temple, he would talk with his Master. Perhaps he could help him.

Asadra also seemed to have believed in him. However it was obvious to the empath that he was lying, but she had decided to respect his will of not talking about what had happened. “Yes, I really want to go to the mall. We could have lunch there.” the auburn-haired boy was eager to leave this place. The other tourists were still watching them and it was leaving him nervous.

Well, if it’s what you want, then let’s go!” Asadra said, trying to sound excited. She had felt how the boy was uncomfortable and wanted to make him feel more relaxed. The Healer would guide the two Padawans out of the Oceanarium. Then, they would pick a speeder that would go to the nearest mall.

While the speeder moved toward the mall, Elidan was looking through the window. His mind was distant, trying to understand what had happened. If he closed his eyes, the half-Annfyn could still see the fragments of unknown memories in his mind. He wondered how it had happened.

His thoughts were interrupted when the speeder stopped. They left it arriving in front a mall, which was the largest that the half-Annfyn ever saw. While they walked toward it, he saw Asadra turn to them. “We arrived! By which store do you want to start looking?” Elidan looked at Clove. He didn’t expect to buy anything there, so he would let the girl decide where they should go first.

Okay, well! If Elidan wanted to go to the mall, then so be it!

On their way to the speeder, Clove was humming a quiet song, one she was taught by her mother. It was a lullaby that was commonly sung to children who couldn't sleep back on Annfyn's home planet. Everyone was quiet, and Elidan seemed distracted and lost in thought, so the half-Annfyn kept to herself so as not to disturb him.

Once they arrived at the mall, Clove excitedly jumped out of the speeder, her eyes sparkling at the sight of the massive structure. She'd been in plenty of malls before, big and small, but they never failed to take away her breath. So many stores, so many beautiful clothes, accessories, shoes, gift ships! Restaurants and hairdressers! It was like a tiny bit of eternal bliss, all in one building.

Her gaze was drawn to Asadra, who asked where she wanted to begin her search. And that was a good question. Because, while she knew a lot about women's stores, she didn't know much about men's stores. However, she remembered that some brands had both a women's and a men's section, so she decided to start there. Plus, she knew of a cruelty-free and organic brand that seemed like it would be a good fit for Elidan! "Let's start at Flora's Boutique!"

Clove excitedly began to walk through the wall, her steps more of a skip than anything else; she was truly in her element. Within minutes, she had discovered several of her favorite brands and shops, but she dutifully ignored them because her goal was Elidan.

Then she discovered it just around the corner. Flora's Boutique. The store was mostly made of warm wood, as opposed to the metal frames found in most other stores. The owners of the boutique placed potted small trees and vases with flora in some corners, giving the entire store a warm and welcoming feel. It wasn't quite as rustic as the one she visited in Naboo, but it looked close enough! "This is the store!" Clove said, happily.

Without much of a warning, Clove grabbed Elidan by the sleeve. "Come, let's go to the men's section first! See if you like anything!"

Before they entered the mall, Elidan watched Clove’s reaction. She seemed to be excited about being here. Probably she was one of these people that liked to come to this type of place to buy things. Meanwhile, he didn’t care much about it. Since he didn't have much money, it was rare for him to go to malls.

Due to that, allowing Clove to choose where they should go first was a good choice. She would have more experience moving around in a place like this than him. If he was the one suggesting where they should go, Elidan would probably make them stay in a bookstore with low prices.

Asadra nodded in agreement when Clove decided that she wanted to start by visiting a store called Flora’s Boutique. “Of course! Let 's go there.” the Twi’lek would walk after the girl inside the building. Elidan awkwardly followed them. It was going to be his first time in a boutique.

When they arrived at the store, Elidan became impressed with the place. There were so many things being sold here, most of them with prices that the boy would never be able to pay for.

Then, Clove said that she wanted to go in the men’s section with him first. Elidan stared at her with obvious confusion. He had no money to pay for anything here and the girl probably knew that. However, since she was so nice to him, the auburn-haired boy didn’t want to make her sad by refusing it. Nodding in agreement, he allowed himself to be dragged by her.

If shopping had been a profession, Clove would've been a pro. With each new piece of clothing she discovered, she took one look, felt the fabric, then shook her head and moved on to the next. She was quick on her feet and laser-focused; she was a woman on a mission. She eventually found a white shirt that felt nice and lifted it off the table, unfolded it, and held it in front of Elidan's chest without looking at the price tag.

Then, with only a few "hmm's" and "yes", she curled the shirt over her arm and moved along.

She went through this process several times until her arm was completely loaded with clothing. If Elidan tried to object, Clove would politely tell him she had a plan and that he should trust her.

She led Elidan to the changing room with the same sentence. Clove took the clothing from her arm and handed it to him. "Here, try these on. I think you'll look great in it! I chose the colors for your shirt based on your skin tone and hair color, and the colors for your pants based on your legs." She seemed to be glowing with excitement, barely able to stand still on her feet.

The outfit as a whole looked casual, but the white organic fabrics would give the impression of freedom. Some might even call it "nature vibe." Ideal for a half-Annfyn!

"Oh. Uhm. Don't worry about the price. If you like the clothing, I'd be happy to give it to you, assuming you don't mind. I don't want to fluster you or anything, or make you feel bad! But I understand how our Order works, and... I'm in a fortunate position to be able to afford these things. So I'd like to give you this as a thank you for taking me on this vacation and teaching me all about ocean life." Clove kept a shy smile on her face throughout her ramble, her fluted ears dancing up and down.
