Standing at the gated threshold of the quiet country lane, a blonde figure rested against a stone boarder wall, patiently waiting on the Arrival of a fellow cultist. One whom she had met following the Eternal's summons to the secret stronghold hidden deep within the unknown regions, after retreating back to the strongholds archives she had met the alien Doctor, and had got discussing about the use of the Force to manipulate the minds of sentient beings.

Whilst they had both talked for a good few hours on the subject, discussing the potential benefits and draw backs, they came to the eventual conclusion that neither of them were that especially practiced in the art. Which gave birth to an idea with the blondes mind, one that would allow for the pair to practice thier dark gifts, with the added benefit of contributing to the collected plans for sowing the seeds of change within the fabric of Bakura's society.

A change that would allow for the Sith Eternal to benefit from the clandestine machinations of the blonde guardian, her plan was of many facets. The larger of which was for the looming sword to drop over her father so that she could inherit his seat in governance, accompanied by the many events that were being planned to disrupt the status quo of the populace. One in particular had brought her to the edges of the capital city, out within the agricultural sector where one of the planets key exports was due to come into harvest season.

Leaning against the wall, Alyse found her gaze lingering over the vibrantly coloured foliage of the Mañana trees. Their fruit a pale green hue as they were just about to ripen, and with the ripening fruit came the flocks of birds, and with them their predators. Small long furry ferret like creatures that would lie in wait for the birds to fall from the branches in a stupor from the fruits nectar, it seemed to be the natural order of things. But soon that would change, the predators had grown lazy and almost domesticated from having their meal land infront of them. As long as that happened, those picking the fruit would be safe from harm.

But what if instead of waiting for thier meal to fall on thier laps, the Cratsch regained their feral state? They could potentially turn to attacking the workers, that could increase the costs of the harvest, something that would raise the prices of the addictive processed products derived from the fruit. And with higher prices would come more money into the economy, which could in turn be channeled into shell accounts to serve the Eternal's interests. That was proving they could manipulate the Cratsch so they became more than just a scavenging pest.

Iko soon arrived at the lane, sighing softly, a bag on his back. The Tiss'shar's face showed exhaustion and annoyance. "Dammit, these farmers really were stubborn... They tried to stop me a few times before finally allowing me to reach you. They kind of mistook me for some disguised predator, for some reason. Well... technically I am a predator in disguise, but still. So, have you made sure that the area we're going to work in is empty?" he said, his last question whispered.

She couldn't help but chortle at the exasperated comments stemming from the Tiss'shars troubles on getting to the meeting spot, un harassed, perhaps she might have been best better preparing the guardian on what to expect from the locals. "my apologies I should have warned you, the farmers on this world are perhaps more back watered than the narrow minds of the Core worlds" Alyse spoke out as she offered a friendly smile, to her fellow cultist. "Unlike those who live in the city, who see all species come and go, those out here pretty much spend thier lives alone out in the orchards" she added before stepping away from the wall, and reaching down for her rucksack before slinging the straps over her shoulder and leading the pair further down the path.

"There is a clearing a little further up, it's part of the wild forests that are untouched by the farmers. Though I doubt we will be disturbed by them or thier workers. They're too busy trying to scare..." Alyse spoke out, before getting cut short by the thunderous sound of repeater fire in the distance, causing her to jump a little from the surprise. "... to scare off the birds so they don't damage too much of the harvest" she resumed before the air was filled with the panicked chattering of the winged creatures as they all seemed to scramble into flight in the wake of the nearby gun fire.

"But even if they weren't busy scaring off the local wildlife, I doubt any one will willinglu tread any further" she added, before guesturing up towards the threshold of the treeline, her alabaster fingers pointing out a crumbling shell of an old duracrete building. "This area is supposedly been haunted for several millenia, it used to be an industrial district. But something happened, that caused the place to be abandoned and left for nature to reclaim" Alyse explained, as she lead them both past the treeline and into the overgrown and ruined scene of urban decay. Neither of the two cultists would need to stretch out far with the Force to sense that the reclaimed land around them, although was vibrant with the life of the wild creatures and trees that inhabit the forest - there was a lingering mark of death and suffering imprinted into the essence of the Force. A long and since ancient atrocity, had left its mark as nothing more than a scar. Whilst the records were unclear on the truth of the events, many recollections and recountings would point towards the rogue Jedi known as the Crimson Menace as being at the center of the genocide that destroyed an entire district.

Whether there was truth or not to such a claim, was difficult to tell, most of Bakuras ancient records had been lost, through the ages. All that remained was several legacies without any real knowledge as to why or even how they came to be.

Iko grumbled softly as she explained the reasons behind the behavior of the farmers, and he sighed, then he tilted his head curiously at the mention of the haunted old industrial area. "Very interesting... Surely this will be a good cover for our operation. Perhaps they could think that the animas got crazy because of the ghosts looming there..." he thought aloud as he looked around. He then headed towards the area where they would work, and sat on the ground, closing his silver eyes and focusing on his surroundings.

A light smile crossed the blondes features as she nodded in affirmation with the Tiss'shars words, it certainly was a sound idea. Much of the urban legends that surrounded the 'dark forest' and ruins that lay hidden in its depths, tell of a dark presence that would send chills down the backs of those that would venture into the depths. Most of them unable to sense that it was the darkside that had tainted the area, and not some haunting spirit.

Dropping her backpack onto the ground, as Iko seemed to have settled down on a spot to commune and channel the Force. Alyse figured she would best scout out the immediate area, looking for signs of the local fauna - if Iko was going to prepare himself to use the Force to influence the creatures near by. Then perhaps it would be of use if she flushed some of the creatures out into the open. Stretching her hand out to the Side, Alyse summoned a rusted length of metal into her hand - before beating the end through the foliage of the nearest Bush that was growing.

The sound of rustling leaves and snapping twigs emanating from the overgrown thicket as the blonde jostled the length of rebar about. Stopping as the sound of chittering and scuttering broke through the expected noise, her eyes narrowing as she tracked the movements of small shadowy creatures. Over into the neighboring Bush, before following and reacting her actions, plunging the rear into the thicket and jostling it about. Until she got the desired effect as six Cratsch ran out from under her feet and out into the clearing towards Iko.

Iko was breathing deeply as he channelled the Force, eyes closed, hands in his lap, while his tail was curled up around his legs. When the young woman beat through the bushes, his tail's tip twitched just slightly, and then he braced himself, reaching in the animals' minds. He managed to block three of them, who stopped on their tracks, looking at Iko with a dazed face, while the remaining three kept running towards the Tiss'shar!

Dropping the length of rebar to the ground, as she watched the Cratsch flee from the harrasment of their hiding spot. The blonde haired cultist observed the small mammals as they rushed towards the Tiss'shar, watching as three of the creatures fell into the snare of Iko's waiting tendrils of the Force - falling dead still in their advance towards her fellow guardian. Alyse's brow furrowing as the remainder of the Cratsch continued in their rush towards the reptilian Sith, taking a sharp deep breath the blonde cultist called the force to her will.

With a sudden stretch of her hand towards the remaining creatures, Alyse projected several tendrils of the Force violently out towards the three Cratsch. The channeled energy streaked towards the small animals, seeking out to restrain and prevent the creatures from attacking Iko. However in her haste, she had poorly judged the amount of energy that she had focused onto the rushing creatures. The sudden lash of the Force wrapping around the creature's bodies, wrapping tightly around them and instead of restraining them, crushed them under the pressure of the tendrils of Force energy.

Killing the remainder of the Cratsch, leaving the two cultists with half of their intended test subjects. "Ah Kriff" Alyse cussed under her breath, before lowering herself on the ground - light headed from the sudden and rushed channelling of the Force.

Iko's mind was focused on the three Cratsch in front of him, and sighed as he reached in their minds, playing a bit with their instincts to see how it worked, until he found the right stimuli and carefully begun to boast their predatory instincts, making them become more and more aggressive, proactive and definitely a predator worthy of that name! The only visible sign of these changes was an increasingly aggressive stance and a low growling coming from the beasts

A light sigh escaped the blonde haired cultist as she watched Iko, tame and manipulate the Cratsch to his will. An expression of fascination and intrigue spread across her features as she watched the creatures adopt a more primitive and aggressive stance, snarling at the Tiss'shar guardian, before snapping their jaws at each other to assert their dominance over the other. Taking a cautious step forward, Alyse crouched down beside Iko to closely observe the ensnared creatures, her chestnut hued eyes narrowing as she intently studied the Cratsch, before her lips pursed in thought.

Whilst having three of the diminutive predators was a start, she felt that perhaps more of the feralised creatures would be needed to seriously hinder the harvesting of the planet's key exports. Raising up onto her feet, Alyse stepped away from Iko and his ensared creatures and headed towards the the nearby shubbery and undergrowth. Her mind reaching out with the Force to feel and sense the surroundings for more creatures, to currupt and turn to a more feral state.

But despite her searching, she could sense no more Cratsch or any creatures around her, baring Iko and the three already corrupted animals. Whether it was her earlier forceful flushing out of the Cratsch, or the use of the Darkside that had driven the creatures away from the surrounding area, leaving them with just the three that Iko had under his control.

Iko was panting in an effort to maintain control over the three beasts, his hands visibly trembling. He then muttered "Go my little beasts, go and wreak havoc among the farmers. Take your friends to help you, and make the situation worse!" As he said so, the creatures got free of his clutches and ran away, and the Tiss'shar slumped forward, propping weakly on his arms, panting. "D-dammit... Didn't expect that to be so taxing"

Watching as the three feralised creatures ran off towards the fields of Mañana trees, a concerned expression crossed the blondes features as she observed the Tiss'shar slump forwards, weakly propping himself up with unsteady arms. Reaching out for her backpack Alyse summoned the bag to her grasp before kneeling down beside Iko, offering a kind smile as he spoke out, airing his supprise that it had taken more out of him than he had expected. Placing a reassuring hand on the reptilians shoulder, "take it easy Iko" Alyse spoke as she rummaged through the contents of her bag.

"Here, have these" The cultist spoke, as she handed the Tiss'shar an energy bar and a cantine of water. "These should help you regain your strength, for the time being" she added before zipping the bag back up, then leaning back against the heels of her feet. The blonde cultists gaze moving away from Iko and towards where the Cratsch had ran off to, her brow furrowing in thought as her mind assessed whether affecting the feral instincts of the creatures they had been able to manipulate. Whilst inwardly cussing herself for her lack of control whilst trying to prevent the three other creatures from harming Iko, she knew she had a great strength and potential in the Force. But she sorely lacked the refined control of a truly disciplined adept of the Force, and her lack of control might well have hindered thier attempts today.

Ooc: Sorry dude, completely fell of my alerts radar.
