DESCRIPTION
The T-13 Skydiver is an airspeeder originally manufactured by the Incom Corporation prior to and during the Galactic Civil War. Direct predecessor to the company's T-16 Skyhopper, the Skydiver was sold as a light sport flyer, with an open-air design and fairly brisk performance. The type was decently successful for Incom, and continued in production up until the company's seizure by the Galactic Empire.

The Skydiver is a sleek, tandem-seat design, with the pilot in front and a single passenger in the rear. It is capable of speeds up to 1,000 kph, and has a flight ceiling of 300 meters; maneuverability is excellent. For safety, the Skydiver is equipped with 2 ejection seats. In addition to the pilot and passenger, the craft can carry 30 kilograms of cargo, as well as consumables for 2 standard days of flight time.

The Skydiver was offered with the option of a light blaster cannon installed in the nose, as well as a basic targeting computer. These were initially only supplied to law enforcement and military customers, although they were later offered to civilians on worlds where such equipment was legal, or at least not specifically prohibited.

These days, the Skydiver is mostly remembered for the promotional song that accompanied its release, which was used in advertising and became a popular single in its own right. Many beings are in fact more familiar with the song than the actual craft that inspired it.

LEGALITY
Legal. Though optionally armed, the T-13 Skydiver is considered a civilian airspeeder by most governments, and is fairly simple to get hold of.

INTENT
To bring a vehicle from Legends canon into our site's fanon.
