DESCRIPTION
The T-16 Skyhopper is an airspeeder originally manufactured by the Incom Corporation prior to and during the Galactic Civil War. The type was a strong, steady seller for Incom before the company's absorption by the Empire; Rebel hero and Jedi Luke Skywalker is known to have flown a T-16 during his youth on the planet Tatooine, where it is believed the craft helped him to hone instincts that would later serve him as a starfighter pilot. Indeed, the T-16 is and was a popular elementary trainer for budding pilots, as the controls and behavior are remarkably close to other Incom products such as the T-65B X-Wing.

Though the T-16 is no longer in production, the type has endured into the present day in various roles. Though the type was offered on the civilian market - and saw great success there - it is a match for many starfighters at low altitude, and in addition to its aforementioned use as a trainer, it is also used as a full combat craft by various militias, police forces and other armed groups.

LEGALITY
Legal. Though optionally armed, the T-16 Skyhopper is considered a civilian airspeeder by most governments, and is fairly simple to get hold of.

INTENT
To bring a vehicle from Canon into our site's fanon.
