Taanab
Morning

Taanab, a lush farming planet with fields that stretch as far as one could see. The sun was peeking up from the horizon as the day was beginning. The people of Taanab had no idea that they had garnered the attention of some undesirable people. The people, were mostly peaceful it was a bit of a lifestyle that came with the knowledge of how important they were to the galaxy; Taanab exported large amounts of food that would fuel planets upon planets. Although, they were not immune to the attention of occasional pirates and raiders but they had always learned to deal with them appropriately and respectfully, it was not uncommon and instead was just a way of life.

Fauna here flourished and offered much more life and more supplies, the more critters brought it the easier farmers could complete their tasks due to their utilization of the large animals. To most, the life here was pretty good and some would even consider settling down here for a simple life – but like anything in this galaxy, they were not immune to everything.

Pandath’s spaceport was a busy place with large shipment coming and going, especially right now as harvest came. Harvest time always warranted chaos, but it was an organized chaos; to the untrained they may feel overwhelmed. It was this busy activity that masked a more nefarious dealing that escaped the attention of good people. This was a place where animals were transferred in and out with non being the wiser and able to keep meticulous records if someone had experience in import and exports. It was here that Kath hounds were being bought and sold right under the nose of even the most organized.

But of course, those involved in the illegal didn’t do it through a spaceport all the time, no, they’d utilize shadow ports or hidden camps, that’s how they could evade the dockhands – you needed the right balance of legal and illegal to be effective, all the pros knew this. But there was something particular about this transfer, something that needed to be addressed and it was only natural that eventually it would catch the attention of the desirable.

Taanab was a stop over location for the Kath Hounds arriving on Onderon, this much was known and discovered by the Sector Rangers, this much was known. What the Rangers didn’t know is why? Given the time sensitive nature of the discovery, HQ contacted Rangers Draco Salem Virtus and Arah Tizun to make haste and look into the matter; both were the closes Rangers upon the discovery on Onderon.

Taanab holds the answers but where…

I turn the thread over to my storytellers and will not be interjecting further with the Storyteller. There is no predetermined post order or predetermined outcome. The only thing I request is that at some point information is obtained of a new shipment; other than that everything is free form and I look forward to the flow.

Remember, self-DM, consider dice to randomize outcomes. The risk is only what you set it as. There is no immediate asset to be gained. Please just have some fun!

... Is it weird I wrote this to myself?

Draco Virtus was landing in in his designated spot from the space ports communications tower. "Reaper 1-1 you are cleared to land at Dock 03, Confirm?". Draco turning his head as he flipped his communications switch over his Mako custom helmet. "Confirm, Dock 03 for Reaper 1-1." with that he would set the ship down as the landing gear extended. Feeling the gentle shake as the ship made contact with the ground. Draco would roll his shoulders as he quickly sent out a message through his ship to the fellow ranger he was apparently meeting up with. He never heard of them and i'm sure thy of him but the Sector rangers came from all over and different sizes. Regardless Draco was looking forward to meeting the Ranger and getting some time off Tattooine which was where he spent a lot of his patrolling. He was told to figure out why Kath hounds were being transported out of here and hopefully the pair would get to the bottom of it.

"Ranger Virtus, call sign Reaper 1-1 is at location. Switch over to communications link channel 7 when on ground. Out." Simple enough. Draco would flick over his internal comms channel in his helmet and hit the button for the cockpit overhead latch to release the door. A hissing sound was heard as he climbed out of the ship much like climbing out of a stationary jet as he closed the hatch behind him and locked it secure. Stepping down the small welded foot steps just big enough for your toes he would come to the ground and look around. Ships and freight among with passengers and crew were going everywhere in every direction like a mad house. It truly was a busy port and it matched the volume that came along with it.

Making his way down the docks with ships of various sizes like his docked along the sides he would glance over to cantinas/small bars that were near for travellers to get a bite to eat or drink. Looks good enough to him as Draco shrugged. He was usually all buisness but he would never say no to a drink or a smoke. The Tattooine cowboy wasn't like most. He spent majority of his time with the Police force and their special tactics teams. He was at above average in chaos situations but remained vigilent. Even when you think he wasn't. Making his way over with his blasters tucked away under his cape and his Mako03 armour on he would take a seat and order a whiskey while he waited for his partner.

Taanab was a curious planet, it was nothing more than a farming planet that could stretch as far as one could see to think this planet fueled a large number of planet was quite the thought. He adjusted his decent as he entered the atmosphere, he transmitted his requests and got an automated response. A few quick alterations an autopilot took control to complete the landing.

Arah Tizun monitored the landing and when his WTK-85A Transport touched down with a thud he rose from his seat and gathered his belongings. Today was just an investigation, while it was an unknown investigation he had no reason to overequip himself. On his hip rested his standard DC-17 hand blaster, he wore his simple white cloth tunic and pants with his fingerless gloves. He was bare equipped and he was okay with this, being light would help him further but he'd have to take care as he was not wearing the enforcement armor.

Satisfied, he began to depart his craft. Activating the ramp resulted in a hiss before the familiar sounds of the hydraulics lowered the ramp. He stood on the ramp as it lowered itself down once the audible click sounded as the lip touch solid ground he stepped off the ship and activated its external security systems the ramp began is slow ascent as it secured its interior from unwanted guests. His ship was not a small ship and it was a busy day, he'd be on a bit of a timelimit before the dock would begin pestering him to clear the area, but he was a Sector Ranger and his authority extended to this planet as well.

He received his communication and adjusted his frequency to the encrypted Ranger channels. The two shared the same rank, but to Arah, Ranger Virtus arrived first and therefore - since neither was the primary on this investigation - Ranger Virtus would assume the defecto mission leader. It was a lose designation and could change in a moment's notice as the investigation evolved.

Arah stepped out into the streets and took in the scents and sights of the planet before notifying his partner, "Ranger Virtus from Ranger Tizun," the cathar Ranger began, his voice gruff with a noticeable accent that denoted his species. "I am planetside. I'm just outside the port, what's your location."

Draco Virtus would literally just have the whiskey placed in his hands as he heard over the net his companion had arrived. Letting the lower side of his helmet open he would down the whiskey quickly and toss a credit on the bar. Closing it back down he would click in over the net. "Ranger Tizun, I'm just outside Dock 53 by the bar area." he would nod as he began to scan aroind the place. Thinking to himself where was a good place to start. Knowing product and shipments coming in and out the Ranger would figure a dock worker or someone who works in the spaceport would probably be a good shot at finding out more information. probably a foreman or supervisor. Shifting his glance around under his helmet as he kept thinking.

"Ship now boarding for Coruscant, passengers please scan your tickets and wait in Docking bay 32." was playing in the backdrop over a loud speaker witha hologram twi'lek giving directions.

Once his companion had met up with him he would give a quick nod to him. "Pleasure to meet cha'" his southern twang being quite noticeable. Taking a notice of how light he was it seemed the Cathar preferred agility over protection, which was fair considering atleast one of them could use speed to their advantage while the other gunpower. He would add after the greetings. "I'm thinkin' we find a supervisor or foreman or sumtin'. They know this place better than most. Especially what comes in and out. What say you?"his southern accent finished like he sipped whiskey and smoked cigarras his whole life. The Ranger was on equal status as the other and was very open and easy going for ideas.

Dock 53. He understood. That was just a few over, he looked around and began walking toward the targeted dock, he was cautious though and was scanning his surroundings aware of people and traffic, he didn't hide the fact that he was a Ranger, people would know.

He stood up straight and strode with confidence, pride. He was lucky and it didn't appear he had garnered much attention just yet, as he got closer to Dock 53 he looked around for his partner for the day. There he was, all armoured. Clearly this man had a more direct approach and he was equipped to match.

Arah Tizun nodded, "Yes. Pleasure." There was no masking of the accent, he matched his comm earlier. These two were exact opposite to one another at least in equipment. The southern speeched Ranger explained his plan and the cathar nodded in agreement. "Logical. The supervisors are privy to more information. Another task is to review transportation logs from any terminal. Either we access them separately or just ask." He looked around the lobby for someone to target. It wouldn't be too difficult, they dressed accordingly. "Over there. Human with a white helmet."

Draco Virtus would nod to him as he glanced around the space port before turning to his new found ranger partner. "Yessir'" he would confirm with the other task in reviewing the transportation logs from some terminals. Draco's eyes glanced over to the human with the white hard helmet. He had a clipboard in his hand and looked pretty important. "Good enough." Draco thought to himself as he maked his way over to the human with his helmet on and Mako03 armor. He was rather intimidating but his voice had that gravel like southern twang that would surprise one if they never knew him. As he approached the human he looked rather nervous as Draco stood before him. He didn't need to use the voice scrambler as he never hid anything and was straight up. "Howdy, I'm Officer Virtus.." with that he would pause to let Officer Tizun introduce himself as well as he looked at the man through his helmet.

"You're not in trouble but we'd like to ask a few questions if you don't mind." the man seemed hesitant as he nodded.."Sure..I guess.." with that Draco went straight to business. "We've got a lead in regards to some illegal trading/shipping around here..You wouldn't know much 'bout that now would you?" Draco would fold his arms a little as he stood much bigger than the man. He seemed right off the bat nervous but that could've been just the way the two approached him all serious like. "n-n-no sir, I haven't seen anything with illegal animal trading." With that Draco stopped with a curious look under his helmet. "Who said anything about the shipping being involved with animals?" The man almost near pale as he turned himself in for what he knows. He froze a second before flinging the clipboard at Draco's helmet and began bolting for it down the dock.

"This mother karker" Draco growled as he turned to his companion. "You're faster than me, want to get him?" he turned as if the other ranger couldn't grab him Draco was about to take out the Oath Bringers and set them to stun for a hard shot.

Arah nodded in greeting, and didn't say much more about the decision to talk to a supervisor or dock worker. They approached the worker with a confident stride they meant business and they were obvious, Arah specifically had zero issues with being identifying his position. Ranger Virtus opened the dialog.

"Tizun." Was all he said for a greeting.

The cathar happily allowed his partner to ask the questions, as the dockhand was responding the Ranger watched the supervisor's movements, ticks, quirks, but he was more concerned with the world around him - he felt a duty to ensure his partner was safe and with that duty meant checking around for backup or someone acting shifty. Fortunately today, this was not an issue, but when the worker mentioned illegal animal trading without prompt, the cathar's steel eyes locked on the worker - he knows more than… he couldn't even finish the thought.

The clipboard caught him off-guard, the worker had a head start and was trying to take full advantage of it; but Draco didn't even need to ask or instruct this feline Ranger, he was already off running after their quarry without a word.

The average foot chase only lasts a few meters and this Ranger was going to make sure that rang true today as well. The bad guy clearly and the advantage, he knew he was going to run before the Rangers knew he was going to run, this was his home territory - he knew these docks like the back of his hand, and it was a busy day.

Arah Tizun was fighting against the traffic and other obstacles. The Ranger slipped through the crowd, slide across a ticket counter as the worker slipped into employee only areas, he ducked through the halls which were now narrow, "Rangers, I order you to stop!" The cathar barked. He eased off in his run, the corridor was too narrow and although he had confidence, these halls were not the ideal fighting ground and he suspected he was trying to get to some open ground; and he was soon rewarded.

They cleared a doorway and into a much larger space, a small cargo bay. This is it. Arah Tizun picked up the speed one last time and collided quickly with the suspect and initiating a tackle in a controlled manner the best he could. They hit the ground with a loud thud, Arah attempted to twist the worker's arm to get some cuffs on his wrists. "By order of the Sector Rangers, you're under arrest."

Arah wrestled with his quarry and he seemed to be getting the upper hand, and soon the cuffs were on. The cathar's breath was rapid, a for sure sign that he certainly had a fight and spent a far amount of stamina- fortunately, he suspected his recovery wouldn't take long as an athlete.

"Ranger... Virtus, I've got… I've got one in custody." The Ranger radioed, he didn't look around for all he knew Draco could be behind him.

Draco Virtus would have one of his Oathbringers level on his hip with it switched over to Stun and was going to do a quick hipfire and send a bolt into the supervisors back but before he even had the chance to level the barrel to fire the other Ranger took off like a bat out of hell. "Well i'll be damned." the southern gravel like twang chuckled. Draco would be walking behind him as he wasn't in a full sprint like his partner. He gracefully moved past people as some watched and others ignored it. Draco turned to them and quickly flashed his badge. "Ranger business, go on about your day." as the crowd that was slowly forming began to turn around and move away. Draco turned and kept walking down a narrow hallway before coming out into a small cargo bay.

"Well Ranger Tizun, you certainly are fast." he would chuckle. Hitting a button on the side of his helmet as the big glass hud in front of his face would retract in the helmet and showing his face. As he did this he would slide a smoke out of a metal case and tapped it off it and plopped the cigarra in the corner of his lips as he eyed the suspect. Taking a quick match he would strike it and light it up. "Now, we can play hard ball or easy. Your choice partner." he smiled a bit as he took a quick puff and exhaled it through his noise. The man struggled a bit but was to restrained by Tizun to move from the cuffs as he spit on Draco's armor. "Kark you, I ain't s-s-aying shit." Draco perked a eyebrow and his lips. "Mm, can't blame you for that answer." he would turn around to leave before turning back and cracking the suspect in his face. The smack was hard and fast.

Blood began to bust from the corner of the suspects lip. "Forgive me Ranger Tizun..I have a bad nervous system, I get twitches sometimes." he looked back at the suspect. "Let's go for a second try..Kath hounds. Why are they being passed through here?" the look in his eyes were burning. Like he could've put two blaster bolts through the mans face with his stare. The man spat up some blood and flinched as Draco leaned in. "Okay okay okay...l-listen...I just help okay? They pay me good.." Draco would cut in. "Well I can pay you more, whatcha got there. Consider that the first payment." he would look at the supervisor. "A-a-alright man relax. There's a training location south of Pandath..I just help load them up..I don't know where they get shipped but I can take you to someone who does..His office is the next cargo bay over..He knows whose doing all of this..I'm sure of it"

Draco looked up to Ranger Tizun and finished his smoke and tossed it on the floor before rubbing it out. "Well, lets see what we can dig up.

“It’s.. the job.” Arah Tizun breathed.

He pulled the crook up from the floor and pulled him over to a nearby crate and sat him down on it. Arah Tizun said noting more as Draco approached the supervisor, there was a brief exchange and then a swift crack across the supervisors’ face. The cathar tilted his head, was that actually necessary? He wondered, and then Ranger Virtus said something about twitching but the cathar wouldn’t address the comment just yet.

The man then provided some information, a training ground? For what purpose would there be a training ground and what would be done in the training ground? He bit his lip at the thought as he considered things, these would not be called training grounds they were illegal, they would bare a different title he assumed. Soon though, they had another lead, and they would be off to the next bay over.

As the two were walking Arah spoke to Draco, “Ranger Virtus, you should make arrangements with a medical profession when we have finished this mission to have your issue addressed.” He was referring to the twitching problem Draco mentioned earlier. Although Draco was likely just making a joke and fabricating a story to explain why he struck the man, Tizun was dead serious. To Arah rangers were in top physical form and if they had any deficiencies that would hinder them or risk people in the filed such as an uncontrollable twitch, it should be treated for the safety of the ranger and his compatriots.

The trip to the second bay was not a challenging trip, they had connected and had little in form of resistance for anyone. When they arrived in the next bay over, the supervisor they had with them simple pointed across the way to an office on the ground level. Tizun released the cuffs from the supervisor and told them to make themselves scarce.

Little did the two rangers know, they would be walking into a bit of a setup. The new suspect had gotten world that the Sector Rangers were sticking their nose in and around the operation, so they prepared for the rangers to arrive; however, the crooks were not dumb they needed to make it low-key and not as obvious. Arah Tizun lead the way on this one however, and sometimes the cathar was a little bit naïve and as such he let them get the jump on them.

Arah Tizun entered the office through the door, there was a Zabrak male sitting the desk pretending not to notice that he had entered the office and was looking at a datapad with his back to the door, when Arah stepped in he was about to announce his presence when a fist came flying at him from his left side, the ranger ducked the incoming blow as he adjusted his footing and returned the punch with a shove to get some distance between him and his opponent, allowing him the opportunity to evaluate the threat. He was a big lad, a twi’lek at that, he had a stance similar to a fighter, but it was less refined as a well-trained fighter.

Arah’s attention was now on his opponent and not on the other supervisor in the room; for all he knew the boss would take off running or would be foolish enough to enter the melee with him; right now, Tizun was more concerned for his safety. Tizun brought his fists up and dropped his leg behind him, this was his element now. He waited for his opponent to make another move.

Draco Virtus would walk alongside Ranger Tizun as it seemed Draco's little twitch worked. Draco walked alongside as the cuffed supervisor was in front of him. Hearing Ranger Tizuns comment about his twitch, Draco soon figured out his fellow partner was all business and one of those serious cats. "Yeah, I'll get er' looked at back on station." he said calmly as he walked down the hallway to the next bay. His left hand resting on his hip next to one of his Oathbringers. His Visor on his helmet squeaky clean as the reflection of the hallway was across it. Just like a mirrored image and his underweave cape trickling the back of his legs behind him.

As they entered the next bay Ranger Tizun let the supervisor go as he took off running full speed in a different direction from the pair. Draco walked behind his fellow Ranger as he seemed he took the lead and Draco had no issue or care for it. They were both equals and he followed as such. As the pair approached the door, Ranger Tizun entered and almost ate a meaty fist to the face by one of the goons that was lying in wait. Draco was still outside the doorway as he perked a brow. It wasn't overly shocked or scared but more of a "Well shit." kind of moment.

It was when Ranger Tizun shoved the sneaky Twi'lek off to the side to gain distance that Draco entered behind him. He already had one of his Oathbringers set to stun from earlier when they ran into the first supervisor they were dealing with at the port. With a flick of his wrist he would snap his hand down and gripped the handle of his Oathbringer and drew it just long enough to get it out of the holster and level to his hip. All of this in one fell swoop as the hairline trigger was touched ever so quickly with the draw. The stun bolt exited the chamber with high speed as it zipped past Ranger Tizun. The blue bolt impacting the Zabrak square in his chest.

The Zabrak would go into a shock and collapse behind the desk like a bag of bricks as all that was left to deal with was the Twi'lek. Ranger Tizun was in Dracos away or he would've put a quick bolt into him as well but he would let his partner handle it since he was directly in front and to the left of him. "All yours partner." Draco would say in his southern twang as he either expected 3 out comes. Twi'lek kicks the shit out of Tizun, Tizun kicks the shit out of the Twi'lek or he puts his hands up. Guess we'll have to wait n' see Draco figured.

Tizun didn’t even flinch when the blaster bolt shot passed him, he was busy looking at his opponent. The twi’lek attempted to throw a series of punches at his face, each blocked with ease at first, he was testing the style and strength of the twi’lek. The twi’lek was a basic fighter, an easy challenge for the cathar who’d spent much of his life as a fighter.

“That all you got?!” Tizun smiled unsarcastically as he taunted his opponent, “Come on, I know Ewoks that hit harder than that.” He could see the frustration and the anger brewing in his opponent, Tizun was just having fun now. A few additional blows were administered toward Tizun which he blocked all of them with ease and responded in kind with triple strike combos every time his opponent had an opening.

Tizun unleashed an onslaught of blows into the twi’lek each impact greeted with a sicken sound of flesh get tenderized. The twi’lek grunting and desperately trying to get a block up securing a few blocks but the onslaught was designed to corner the opponent and with a final action Tizun finished the fight with a leg sweep and the twi’lek’s back impacted the cold ground with a large thud. Tizun knelt and slapped the handcuffs on the twi’lek, “You’re under arrest.” Tizun did not bloodlust and didn’t cause any serious bodily harm to the twi’lek but he knew the twi’lek would have a few bruises in the morning, and he might hurt a little for a day or two.

Tizun pulled the twi’lek up and walked him over to a chair before tossing him on it, some blood obvious on their face. “Alright champ, lesson one never attacks a Sector Ranger unless you plan to lose. Lesson two, when a Sector Ranger walks in you obey. Now, we have wasted enough time. Animal trading. You got a permit? No, because Kath Hounds are not an acceptable form of currency or trading.” He turned his attention to the supervisor now who seemed to be coming around.

This was a different Tizun, this was the Tizun that happened after he’d gotten into a melee, coupled with the fact that he had been a desk jockey for awhile and was looking for a bit of a challenge. Getting hit and getting into hand-to-hand combat always did something to him; fights were what made him feel in control. He’d anticipated this result long before the melee concluded, he had weighed the pros and cons of the fight, he tested the twi’lek’s strength and style which helped him formulate the exactly flow of the fight and it conclude as he had foreseen it.

“Who pays you? Where are they coming from and where do you send them? When’s your next expected shipment?!” Tizun was determined to get answers, although he was fired up, he maintained a strong presence and a strong voice although it was gruff. His facial expressions didn’t change much, they just showed a form of frustration, he furrowed his brow as he expected an answer.

Draco Virtus would stand back as he let his Ranger partner have a grand ol' slug fest with the Twi'lek as Draco watched he would casually hit the side button on his helmet to retract the visor and take out a metal tin and withdrew a cigarra. He plopped it in his mouth and lit it up. Taking a long drag he would turn his head to look behind him for any surprises coming from the bay. Nope, all clear. Shifting his head back as the fight continued he would smoke happily and just enjoy the free entertainment. Ranger Tizun was opening up a can of whoop ass on the poor Twi'lek. After cuffing him and marching his way over to the table to sit him down but decided to give him a good toss instead.

Draco walked over staying behind his partner as he stood next to him. His little smoke pluming in the air. Draco was most impressed as Tizun had some serious fighting skills and was a good combatant but a fair one. He whopped the Twi'leks ass and handcuffed him without getting to carried away. Draco folded his arms as he watched the Zabrak starting to come to and holding himself up from the desk as he never had a sweet clue on what happened. Draco perked a eyebrow as he added in after Tizun said his questions.

"If I were y'all, i'd start answering cuz' ole Ranger Tizun here doesn't play games." He would focus on the pair. The Twi'lek would keep glancing at the door behind them every so often as Ranger Virtus tapped the handle of one of his Oathbringers ever so gently as if to warn the Twi'lek not to do anything stupid and to start answering his fellow Sector Rangers questions on the kath hounds

It was pretty obvious between the two crooks that they were looking at a lose-lose situation with the two rangers at the face; one of them was looking down the barrel of a blaster while the other was faced off a intimidating fighter hovering over him. But neither of them would talk at first, Tizun glared deeply at his previous opponent and began flexing and clenching and unclenching his fists. The twi’lek was putting on a brave face, refusing to budge – but Tizun showed restraint. Although still running off the fight, he had to try very hard to do so.

“Very well,” Tizun began as he contemplated his next steps. He casually lifted his hands up and looked at them in contemplation and stretched his fingers out this allowed him to display his claws in a more overt fashion, normally his claws are typically wrapped into his fist and he doesn’t adapt a fighting style that utilizes them. His claws were no secret though, anyone who looked at his hands would see they were there and they were not dull. “That’s fine. Don’t say anything we’ll just take you both back to cells, just not sure which facility I want to take you to yet. Some are nicer than the others…”

The cathar ranger admired his claws for a moment. “Did you know that the catharrs are primarily predators, rrRanger Virrrtus?” He would pause a moment to get a response from his partner, “Mmhmm, it’s true. Because we evolved from such a primitive role, we’ve been able to rrip the flesh of prey.” Though still very gravely and rough of a voice, his accent was becoming more pronounced as he rolled his ‘R’s as he talked; and as he spoke he was shooting glances at the two captives.

“Alright, Alright” The twi’lek interjected.

“Be careful now Eli, you don’t know…” the Zabrak cautioned

“No, you listen Vrux. I’m not about to have the flesh ripped from my body thank you very much!”

“Whoa whoa, no one said anything about rrrriping flesh from your body. I was just educating my partner.” Tizun casually replied; but his accent was beginning to fade as he was coming down from the excitement of a half-decent fight.

“Uh-Huh... sure... yea whatever, chump.” The twi’lek retorted, “We don’t know who pays us or what they’re looking for. Kath Hounds are native to Dantooine so naturally that’s where the shipment comes from. We don’t do much, we process the shipment and falsify the documents and a group of thugs come around to collect the shipment; usually at night.”

The Zabrak sighed as he relented to the two rangers and continued where the twi’lek left off. “The group comes and transports them away from the starport, we don’t know where they take them. They disappear for a week or two and return with sealed containers and we don’t see in. They get loaded up and transported beyond our reaches – it’s different each day, we just get a comm 24 hours in advanced. We use Dock 27 exclusively for this, 27 has a large cargo back door they use.

The twi’lek now spoke again, “Shipment was brought in today. They’ll be coming tonight. But that’s all we know, I swear it.”

Tizun’s eyes went from one to the other as they spoke, these guys were not hardened criminals, they sung like birds when the pressure was on, the supervisor was more hardened but that didn’t last as soon as someone else spoke up, he’s clearly just a follower and not a leader. Two poor sods just trying to make credits for themselves he supposed. “You are certain?” Arah spoke with his accent now subdued as the excitement left him. “Dock 27. Certain they will show?”

Both the crooks nodded in unison, “Like clockwork.”

Tizun turned to his partner in a gesture of ‘What do you think we should do tonight and with them?’

Draco Virtus would stand there enjoying his smoke. Taking a long drag of the small cigarra as it stood burning there softly in the backdrop of his Ranger partner. His hand still ever so slightly tapping one of his Oathbringers as he perked an eyebrow up as if he was shocked when his partner made the comment of his species being predators. "Never knew partner." he would comment in amusement as he looked back at the pair in front of them with a look of "You're in for it now." as he had a cheeky little grin on his face while his smoke hung from his lips. Draco watched as the two argued a little bit as the Twi'lek seemed to be more easy to work with out of the pair.

While they started gushing out the information. Draco would listen quietly before finishing his smoke and giving it a toss to the floor. Well now they knew for sure how the Kath hounds were being operated in and out of here but now they needed to catch it in the act. Flicking his smoke off to the side as he stared hard at the pair before finally breaking his silence. "If y'all are lyin'...I will find you. In this life or the next." his cold piercing eyes staring through the pair as he turned his head slightly to Ranger Tizun. "Cuff em' to the table..Call in the local police to take em' in..They can be held for any further information if you'd like ...Or we set em' loose but they'll go squawking and break our cover." he shrugged.

If it was Draco's call he'd cuff them to the table and leave. Someone would be bound to find them but he doubted Ranger Tizun would think of it ethically speaking. As he pondered for a minute he would look at the pair. "The shipments coming in, they know you both well or y'all have different crews workin'?" he thought about having Ranger Tizun and himself dress up as Spaceport workers and intercept the shipment. He snapped back to focus at Ranger Tizun. "We can either dress up as Dock workers or we stake out the Dock and go for a loud approach. Either or." he shrugged. It would let his partner decide as really it depended on what the Zabraak and Twi'lek say..If they're the only ones it would ruin the sneaky part and they'd have to go in as themselves.

Tizun considered his options, he had a couple of cells on his ship. He had his freighter redesigned only slightly to accommodate those cells for the times in which he had to carry a prisoner over a great distance – that could be the option. They were supposed to get the shipment tonight, which means they had a lot of time to kill until then; the shipment would arrive during these guys shift likely but as they had stated wouldn’t get picked up until night.

“Shipment will arrive within the next hour or two. We deal with the documents. The people you want will show up later, they have access codes they don’t need us for the pickup.” The Zabrak admitted to the Rangers.

“We don’t owe ‘em nothin’!” The twi’lek blurted out, “They just pay us to falsify documents! We don’t know them – and frankly I value my life, not going to piss it away for some stupid dog.”

Tizun looked at the two captives and then back to his partner. “These two have committed crimes. The authorities will deal with them, but I am not leaving them here. As they stated, the just falsify the documents, we have no evidence to suggest otherwise and therefore they haven’t committed any heinous acts.” Tizun was alluding to the two bad guys that the justice system will likely be lenient of them, they were not responsible for the smuggling they were just corrupted officials on a payroll. Pandath would have a small authority operating, Tizun would contact them with his holo-communicator.

With his call completed he spoke with Draco about their next move, “Neither, technically Ranger Virtus. Switching uniforms won’t help us and we’re not “going in loud” as you said. They come and go as they please and they use the cargo door – we know where it is and we know it’s at night. We watch it and follow the shipment to its destination here on the planet. We can learn things and we can cripple the trade sequence by breaking this link in the chain.” Tizun was back at his usual self now.

“I believe them when they say they value their lives, I do not believe they’ll be a problem as they’ll be in-custody and if they do get released we’ll know and as you said, you will hunt them.”

Draco Virtus would hear the pair in front of him out as they quipped at each other with their usual bickering. Hitting the side button of his helmet it would set the visor back down over his face. They had some time before the shipment came in so they could deal with the pair in front of them or get a bite to eat for all Draco cared. IF the shipment was in an hour or two they could move to it or follow as stated by his partner and see when the people who deal with it show up. Sighing as he nodded in confirmation with what Ranger Tizun was saying.

"Right well, let's call the local authorities and let em' get taken in. We got what we want." he said plainly as what happened to the pair is of little concern as long as they're dealt with. Hearing the Ranger finish his plan as he Draco shrugged. "Stake it out and record information. Sounds good to me." Draco was easy-going in regards to how he wanted to operate this. Draco would've had a more direct approach but everyone operated in their unique ways. Ranger Tizuns made most sense as it was on the cautious side of things.

"Well I got a datapad and Binocs back in the ship. I'll put in a call to get them both taken in custody." it turns out the Zabrak and Twi'lek had a lucky day as they got the easy way out. Turning to the pair Draco would change over his net frequency and begin calling in the authorities under his call sign and issuing his badge number and location. Once completed Draco would turn back to Ranger Tizun. "Well, i'm grabbin' a drink before this kicks off." he stated as until the authorities showed up it was baby sitting duty for the duo Rangers but it shouldn't overly take to long before the authorities arrive.

The dock authorities would arrive a short while later and took custody of the crooks. Tizun turned this his partner contemplating the next move.

“They use the dock. Go for a drink, if they show up in the next hour or two it’s not difficult to document each transport coming in, otherwise we don’t need to sit around. Our authority extends to requesting a look at the logs of the freighters that registered with the dock; as they said they just falsify the cargo manifests; it’ll be the last transport to land and stay if the workers remove the cargo at night.” Tizun explained to Virtus.

“Three hours” he directed, “Three hours at Dock 27. Do what you want until then, I am returning to my ship.” Tizun turned away and started walking away; he would ultimately choose to spend the next few hours on his own ship, a WTK-85A. Because he operated out of a light freighter there was some form of a living space aboard the ship, he liked this option because it allowed him to use his ship as a home base when on extended missions and reduced his reliance on local shop and supplies. While aboard his ship he did nothing but mundane things and nothing exciting happened to him. He made no clothing changes or obtained any new equipment; he was satisfied with what he initially brought with him.

Time would pass and when he got closer to his deadline he had set, he emerged from his ship and proceeded over to the target dock. He would wit just outside for Draco and when Draco arrived, he would inform Draco of a decent vantage point he had discovered, he would lead Draco to the point and explain that all they needed to do was watch until the cargo gets picked up and then follow it to the “training ground.”

The pair would have to wait for 2 hours more. During those two hours traffic was minimal, and the freighter remained undisturbed no one on and no one off. As the time passed, they would be rewarded for their patience as a medium size group would arrive, ‘like clockwork’ as suggested by the dockworkers. All of the individuals before them were masked wearing a form of protection; their armour was a dull purple, some had different colour shoulders or a stripe to differentiate them from the others, Tizun imagined these to be supervisors or ranking members. Tizun did not recognize their armor, but the group moved with a coordinated and rehearsed movements.

The bay opened open, several walked in and took up posts around the dock to act as a guard of a sort. One walked out to an alcove leading into the dock, presumably a lookout. An industrial hover platform accompanied the group. The number of guards clearly indicate that a direct attack would be a horrible mistake on the Rangers parts, Tizun reminded Draco (and himself) that they needed to hold back. A group entered the ship and slowly several crates were removed from the freighter, Tizun could not see the cargo as they were sealed in crates and not kennels, the crates were modified however to allow for a visual at the front and a few spots of oxygen; the crates resembled that of traps.

The unloading was efficient but not rapid. The poachers had clearly done this procedure more than once, it was apparent that some were becoming complacent because nothing ever happened, they were bound to make an error eventually. The unloading took a bit of time, Tizun was itching to act but he knew he needed to hold back.

Soon the cargo was loaded up and the guards converged to the back of the dock to leave. As the last guard left, the doors began to close. Tizun looked to his partner.

Draco Virtus nodded at his plan and set time. With that he would move off to the bar as he made his way. Making a cut back through the hangar bay and down the hallway they chased the first person in and right out into the main area as species from all over were walking around and moving cargo. Heading to the bar he would take a seat and order a Corellian whiskey on the rocks as he watched the crowd around him. Flicking back and forth between them and the Holonews. Nodding to the bartender who slid the drink over as he sipped it contently. His helmet off to the side of him.

Time passed fairly quickly and Draco managed to get a couple drinks and a bite to eat. Wiping his mouth with a cloth he would toss the napkin down on the plate and stand up. Pushing his chair in he would make his way outside and back over to where Ranger Tizun was waiting. Nodding to him in regards to the vantage point he would follow quietly and put his helmet back on while scanning the area.

As they waited their patience paid off as these armor colored crew shown up. Draco was already making notes in his little data pad as he watched them all quietly while every now and again checking their security to not get snuck up on. Draco would've loved more than anything to jump down there and make everyone of those piece of shits pay but he held back and Ranger Tizun had zero issue reminding him like Draco was a dog seeing a bone. Hard to resist. Alas the cowboy did as they finally loaded up the cargo and began to close their ranks to leave.

"Well we got what we were lookin' for." Draco said quietly to his partner.

Tizun shook his head, “What were looking for yes. But we’re not done.” Tizun pointed off into the distance, “Come. Got a vehicle. We need to follow them and figure out if they’re running another business or something here.”

Tizun lead the way and into a landspeeder, he engaged the engines and followed a respectable distance away from the crooks ensure they did not get discovered so they could track reasonably well. Tizun relied on Draco to keep an eye on the convoy. The two rangers blazed through the fields and soon they were greeted by what appeared to be a camp, a camp that had walls around it to maintain a level of privacy Tizun assumed. The camp stuck out like a beacon with all the camp lights activated; Tizun parked their speeder a distance away and hopped out. Instinctively he looked around for a vantage point, the problem was he couldn’t find a very good vantage point and he didn’t know if they’d see inside.

The night was silent though, wind had stayed down, and the weather remained comfortable. Without saying a word for a few moments, they’d soon hear the sounds of animals howling, people laughing and the occasional crack, likely from a shock or whip. Seldom, but heard was the sound of a blaster bolt as they likely dealt with ‘problem’ hounds, but from this point they could not be certain what was going on beyond those walls; it could have also all just been in the Cathar’s head.

His mind flashed a few moments though as he considered what was going on. While he was fortunate enough not to fall victim to slavery during his time on Cathar, he knew that the Cathar have been previously targeted for slavery – specifically the females because males were just too aggressive, anyone could tell you that had you met a cathar male; Draco certainly knew it. An involuntary response was prompted by the thought and a level of tension grew on him as he considered what was happening, but he tried to curb it and tell him that was not the case. If Draco was looking at him, he might see the slight tension.

“We need to see beyond those walls.” Tizun said plainly.

Draco Virtus would watch as he simply nodded to his partner. Following him down into the vehicle as he got in. His eyes watching the vehicles ahead of them from a distance like a hawk as he wasn't going to loose them that easily. His one hand resting on his hip near one of his oathbringers incase he had to start blasting..Unlikely but never say never with the life of a Sector Ranger. Once they came out to a field and parked a distance away Draco would exit the vehicle and move up quietly under the cover of the night.

Draco would use his magnifier through his helmet to try to scan as much of the area as he could through his visor as he heard the sounds of a whip being used and bellows of an animal. Draco knew exactly this is the spot they were looking for as he looked over to the far side. Scanning in with his magnifier he spotted a decent sized crack in the side of the wall as he turned to tell Ranger Tizun and caught the grimace on his face.

"I Know partner but keep your head in the game." he said calmly and with as much resoect as he could. He knew this was a hard hitting thing to hear let alone partake in as he motioned to the crack he seen in the side. "We can use that crack to scale the side...The lights shouldn't be an issue if we can distract them with something.." he would turn to look around and check out the area. They were doing this quietly and Draco was doing his best to go that route instead of guns blazing.

His eye caught some wires hanging off a light in the opposite side as he zoomed in on it. "I bet if i throw a rock and disloge those wires that light will short circuit and turn off..They'll think it malfunctioned..Shouldn't raise any major bells." he would nod as he had great aim and he knew Ranger Tizun was far more agile to scale up the wall while Draco did this. IT would at least get one of them in but Draco was sure Ranger Tizun had some tricks up his sleeve of his own.
