There had always been something special about hyperspace, which Rav had never quite been able to put his finger on. Here, sat in his command chair onboard the Corsair he briefly found himself lost in the magic of it once again, before a high-pitched beeping interrupted his daydreaming. "Gan ohk tlonheh ho Sirki, Vikesio. Gan mtan ohk o'ela fekalahkita li'ki." the shrill voice of his Twi'leki navigations officer chimed in over the beeping noise signalling their location was near.

Snapping back into the present, the pirate rose from his command chair and turned to face the motley gang of unsavoury types he had assembled for today's daring mission.

"Today, shall be a profitable one indeed my friends. Under my command, we shall exit hyperspace above Manda, a planet just off the hyperspace lane, held by the perfidious IS_" what were they called again? Independent Sattan Constraint? Individual Star Conglomerate? These Governments, such stupidly complex names they had! "...people here. We shall enter the main transit lane down to Manda, and hold a course as any other transportation ship would. Our target is the ISC Hipori, an Action VI transport, which our information broker says is carrying a cargo of AMS vaccines! We get close, zoom, pow! SLAM!" he made jabbing actions with his fists "We board the vessel, we take the cargo, dispose of the crew and hop back over here and zoom - into hyperspace and mountains of credits"

Rav paused in front of the viewport, looking at his reflection and smiled.

Truly, a fine figure of a man.

"It is genius. If you have bought starfighters stowed in the hanger, get to them - otherwise, get to the boarding tubes! Navigator, when we exit hyperspace, get to work on the jump calculations for a quick exit." he laughed, waving over his droid and pouring out shots of spotchka. Handing a glass to each one of his fellow raiders, he raised the glass and toasted "To victory! And to profits!"

Conversely, the unnatural jump into hyperspace always had unnerved Salbecca. Something about the way that the galaxy, normally so pristine and still-seeming, turned into a blur of shape and color. Of course, the nature of the galaxy was that it was in constant motion, literally hurdling through the void of deep space...but it just felt different. Sentient beings were not meant to travel at such speeds, go out into the far reaches of space, enter into new dimensions, or create sentient beings from mechanical parts. It was a dark

Captain Haskeen's speech helped to rouse him from his malaise. He could give a speech...even if he didn't seem certain of the target of this vessel. The ISC was a tough customer, certainly, but that made the challenge more alluring. Salbecca ripped the shot from Haskeen's hand, offering an affirmative roar to his toast. The wookiee respected the confidence of a man bold enough to rip off a Hutt, and when he heard of the call to join this merry band of corsairs, he had seized it immediately. The "mountains of credits" part helped, too. His own career at the Black Suns had stalled - he was little more than an exotic street-level bruiser in the eyes of the Suns.

This was an opportunity to start anew. And by the Maker, he would seize it. So when Haskeen barked his orders, Salbecca nearly sprinted to the escape tubes. He barked in the direction of the Corsair's fearless leader. "Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh." He stopped first at the ramshackle barracks to grab his rifle before moving to the launch bay. Today would be the stuff of legends - it would make his career.

Life as a mercenary was rarely black and white. Certainly a great deal of blasters-for-hire would elect to keep their contracts above board and within the confines of the law but for Aska, the source of the credits didn’t matter so long as they could still spend. When the offer from the Syndicates arrived for some sort of heist, the clone didn’t see any reason why she shouldn’t get her fair share of the purse Of course, their target was one that she wasn’t in any sort of rush to make an enemy of so while she carried her usual loadout of weapons, she instead could be seen wearing more typical armor of a lesser merc partnered with a full-face helmet that came equipped with a voice scrambler to hide her identity rather than her custom suit. None of her partners would know her by her real name but rather by her call sign, Domino.

Haskeen was eccentric as he delivered his speech on what they had come here to do, the details of the job not sitting quite right with the clone. Those vaccines could undoubtedly save lives across the galaxy and the Syndicates would certainly dispense them across fringe worlds at the bottom of the waiting list at an exuberant price range. Profit from suffering.

”Whatever… Credits are credits…”

Aska would pick up the shot of spotchka and lift the mask only just enough for her lips to be exposed before pouring the alcohol back, promptly lowering the helmet once again. With the Night Terror safely stored away until her return, the clone would be part of the boarding party rather than the aerial assault. Standing at the ready beside the giant Wookie, you could say she was pretty confident in their odds. Casually looking the hairy behemoth over before locking her eyes on the boarding tube, Aska drew her DX-2 and prepared for their drop from hyperspace.

”You’ll give me a heads up if you’re gonna start ripping people’s arms off, right?” she playfully jested with Salbecca as she stared straight ahead, her voice altered into a mechanized variant of her true tone. His response didn’t matter though. She didn’t understand a damn word this thing said...

Drusk rocked on his feet as he stood among the crowd of pirates on the bridge of the Corsair. He had fallen in with the pirate crew some time ago and had generally enjoyed his stay among their ranks. He wasn't much of a space crewer, though he was slowly picking up the basics. What they really kept him around for was the incredible violence that he loved to dole out. Like the violence he was going to be doling out today.

Drusk listened intently to the captain, hanging on to his every word as a small dribble of drool began to droop out of his toothy maw. Captain Haskeen sure had a way with words that were at the same time fascinating and confusing to the young Trandoshan. Eyes flicking around the bridge, his nostrils flared and slit pupils expanded as he laid eyes on none other than a highly prized Wookie.

His eyes flicked back and forth from the Wookie to the captain now. He had yet to take a Wookie's hide much to his dismay, and he briefly considered making his play there and then, interrupting the Captain's speech for the hefty jagannath prize the Wookie represented.

Before he could make a decision, the Captain was passing out shots of spotchka. The Captain probably wouldn't have liked it if he interrupted his speech anyways. Taking a shot of spotchka and pouring it down his gullet, Drusk walked off to the boarding tubes muttering to himself before laughing. "Patienssse isss the mark of a true hunter... hsssk hsssk."

Heading to the boarding tube, Drusk found himself in the same one as the Wookie as well as an assortment of other mercs and pirates, one of whom appeared to be getting chummy with the Wook. Shaking his head, Drusk drew his glee blaster and waited for the drop from hyperspace.

With the toasts completed, Rav turned his attention to the upcoming raid. "Take us out of hyperspace!" he commanded, as the ship dropped out of the lane and into the trade corridor. Just as predicted, the corridor was filled with a small convoy of Action IV Freighters, and their target was right in the middle of them. "Bring us in close, ready the grapples and fire the ion cannon at their engines." Rav ordered, the loud chooooooom of the cannon signalling that his order had been followed.

Caught unawares, the target freighters engines spluttered to nothingness, the vessel disabled by the blindsided nature of the attack.

Rav made a snapping motion with his hand, as the grapple lines fired, attaching the two ships and reeling their target closer into them. The Corsairs engines kicked in, holding them in place as their target was moved into range of the boarding tubes, which attached to the side of the ship with a satisfying 'clunk'. "It's feeding time boys!" he shouted, to a chorus of 'yarrrrs' from the crew, as Rav drew his sabre, and headed off to the boarding tubes where the elite team waited.

With a hiss, the boarding tube opened, and Rav signalled with his sword in a forward motion. "Secure me this vessel, kill anyone who stands in your way!" he laughed, running into the enemy ship, with his blade raised.

As the vessel's grappling line found purchase in the unaware freighter, a grin grew across Salbecca's face. Finally, it was time to strike. As they reeled in their prey, the Wookiee waited for...something. He wasn't sure what - maybe for ships to materialize out of thin air and destroy them? Maybe, for ISC rangers to burst through the porthole, screaming and gunning? Those ideas seemed as likely as a Shyyyo bird siting, now. It looked like this was going to be a regular milk run.

And then, a human was speaking to him. They were a peculiar sort - always wearing helmets and such to hide their identities. Couldn't do business out in the open, like a civilized people. He pulled on his translator mask before he responded. It was more of a professional obligation - clean, clear comms were a necessity - than it was a need to indulge in small talk. But, he would indulge this one. "Such a rote stereotype." His voice came out harsh, deep, and with a robotic tint familiar to anyone who has used an old vocoder. He paused for a moment, running a wooly paw across his shatterbeam rifle. "It's easier to rip off heads, anyways. Less bone." He turned his head towards the Trandoshan after he spoke. He trusted Trandoshans as far as he could throw them - which, honestly, was rather far. He had no deep hatred for the species (he remembered the sting of enslavement by the long-gone Empire with much more hostility), but he knew that bias ran deep. He had to hope that Drussk would put the mission before his homicidal desires.

The doors lurched open, and Salbecca followed Haskeen through the hull. Charging at full speed, he barely looked at the layout of the ship itself - he was maniacally sprinting to where the bridge of the ship would be. A more thoughtful, more cautious, type might have rushed for the vaccines, checked for automated defenses, waited for the rest of the crew but instead...
The pair almost slammed straight into a durasteel security door. One of many, he was sure, designed to slow the pirates on board as they called out into deep space for aid of any kind. Or, readied their secret weapons - maybe those rangers were hiding on this ship somewhere. "Ah," he rasped. "Allow me, Captain."

He primed the laser of his rifle, the red beam ominously starting to glow. "You'll, uh, want to stand back." It would take a moment for the rifle to fully activate, creating a commanding sizzle, crackle, and boom not unlike the interplay of lighting and thunder in the sky. As the weapon continued to charge - Maker, this is slow - he glanced back to his companions.

A soft yet mechanized chuckle emanated from the vocal emitter of her mask as the Wookie surprisingly replied through his translator. She could still hear the recognizable growls of his species coming from underneath his mask but his response was still humorous all the same. The mental image of the giant furball running through the freighter at full speed, sinking his claws into the forehead of some unsuspecting schmuck and separating it from their shoulders played through Aska’s mind on repeat. Maybe she was starting to become a bit of a psychopath herself but she couldn’t deny a slight sense of wonder. How much exertion would it really take for a head to be ripped clean off?

”Fifty credits are yours if you show me,” the clone laughed but as the sounds of the docking tubes finding their target echoed through the chamber they all occupied, the time for banter was cut short. The telltale clunk of mechanical components slipping into place came at near perfect intervals until finally, the door slid open and the group of pirates, mercenaries and other criminal elements came to life as they charged forward, Rav taking point.

Aska was near the front of the charging group, just behind Salbecca and Haskeen. The target vessel quickly was placed in lockdown so with their advance slowed, the group of clamoring pirates were forced to wait for the Wookie to cut through the doorway.

Well this is going to take forever Aska stated as they waited for the incision to be made. The clone would look around for something, anything, that would make the process go faster. Just above the door was an air intake vent, too small for most of the invading crew to slip through. But not Aska. ”Better plan,” Raising her left arm and aiming the built in grapple line at the steel grates, the steel cable launched forth and hooked itself in place. Tugging back, the grate fell to the floor as she retracted the line.

”Someone give me a boost,” the clone requested, likely from either the wookie or the towering Trandoshan behind them. Once she was through, she could access the panel on the other side and open the door for the others. Of course, the lockdown needed to be dealt with or this would be a process on repeat through the entire raid.

Drussk followed the crew through the ship, eager for some manner of resistance to whet his appetite for violence. Unfortunately the only resistance they found was a locked bulkhead door. Hissing impatiently as he waited for the stinky wookie to cut through the door, he heard one of the human raiders ask for a boost.

Looking down at her, a wide grin spread over his scaly face. The wookie was otherwise occupied and as his eyes followed her actions, it appeared she wanted to go on ahead.

"Mind the clawsss." Drussk hsssked before crouching down and grabbing the merc underneath both hips. "SSSSssss-AAAaahhhh"" He hissed in exertion as he stood up again, lifting the merc up and pushing her up into the air vent.

"Haaave fun." He waved goodbye to the merc before once more... watching the wookie slowly cut through the bulkhead. This was a lot more boring than he thought it would be and he was a jealous of the little merc he had just helped. She was gonna get all the fun. "Caaan you cut any fassster walking carpet?" He hissed, which got a laugh from a few of the other pirates who were likewise waiting impatiently.

The Captain laughed as Drusk and his Wookiee crewmate exchanged piratical banter, the time practically flew buy as the large walking carpet burned its way through the door, and with a satisfying clang, if fell open - enabling the Captain to step onto the bridge and face the petrified looking crew of four men. Haskeen had to admit, he was hoping for slightly more opposition than 'none at all', but one must never look a gift Bantha in the mouth, and so he walked into the bridge and fired a single shot into the head of the vessel's commander, before hacking the terrified looking pilot into the floor with his sabre.

"Your ship," he grunted as he yanked his sword out of the body of the fallen pilot "Is now mine." he looked around, slightly disappointed at the lack of applause and cheers of victory.

Oh well.

"Right then." he sat in the command chair as the rest of his crew no doubt made short work of the rest of the opposition they faced and sighed. That was suspiciously easy, the Captain thought, before instructed the crew to send in the binary loadlifter droids, to start emptying the ships precious cargo.

OOC - As nobody has joined as opposition, this could be a rather short raid.

It was a resounding success. Salbecca pulled off his translator mask and let out a loud roar that rang across the ship. No lives lost (not on his side, anyways), no complications, no ships interfering. Had they not gotten a distress signal out? Or were they so deep into space that it didn't matter - there was no way for them to escape their fate? No matter - this was worthy of celebration. The crew of the Corsair could add another Action VI transport into their fleet - along with the vaccine haul. Salbecca paused for a moment as he pondered the vaccine haul: What was Captain Haskeen's plan to offload millions of credits worth of vaccines? Did he have connections in FWA and New Republic space that he wasn't aware of?

If so, maybe he could get Salbecca that pardon he needed to return to Kashyyyk. He resolved to be a perfect crewmate, an exemplary member of this force, to make that happen. To that end, he started with the bodies of the crew on the floor. With a mighty heave, Salbecca lifted the two corpses into each of his arms, heading in the direction of the closest airlock to dump them out of. As he did, he called out to Aska, wherever she was on the ship. "Aaaahnruh huuguughghg aarrragghuuhw!"

He sighed after dropping the corpses in the airlock. Maybe now he could square up with the Trandoshan who seemed keen to anger him. He looked at his paws, covered in the Hipori captain's congealing blood. Eck, it was even matting his fur; the scent of drying blood, combined with the singes on his mane from cutting open the door, creating a wholly revolting smell. He stank like a burning corpse. Maybe first, Salbecca reasoned, a visit to the decontamination suite. A quick rinse off. Then, while the droids continued to load, he could settle up with Drussk.

As she crawled through the air ducts of the boarded freighter, Aska eventually heard the telltale sound of the metallic door of the bridge falling to the floor. With the barrier out of the way and her presence not needed for the rest of the crew to gain access, she would detour away from the command deck and instead make her way to the security control room that was a short distance away from the others. While much of the ships length was intended for bulk freight and was loaded down with the precious cargo they were here to requisition, it did not require a large crew so resistance in the main halls was practically non-existent. This all seemed… too easy.

Coming to a stop at the duct grate that dropped down into the security room, the clone quickly spotted the lone surveillance attendant pacing back and forth across the room in a panic. It was no secret that the Hipori had been boarded by a group of pirates so while his trepidation was warranted, Aska simply shook her head. Had he not alerted anyone to what was transpiring? Maybe this was some rookie security officer, first day on the job and unprepared for such a threat? Or maybe he was just a coward. Not everyone in the galaxy was cut out to wear a holster and a badge anyway.

Shifting herself around so that her feet were placed firmly on the grate, the clone waited until the man was directly below before she pushed with every ounce of strength she could muster. The steel plate came loose and slammed into the side of the panicked guard’s head, leaving him in an unconscious heap on the floor as she dropped down.

”Enjoy the headache when you wake up,” Aska taunted the man as she walked over to the control panel, pulling up the security feed of the bridge. She watched as the Captain withdrew his saber from the crewman’s back and began to order his own men to get to work activating the load lifters. Switching the feed to the main cargo hold, she could see the droids as they began to comply with moving the crates towards the docking tube they had boarded from.

She began to think about the contents of those crates. Of what this vaccine was designed to do. Of all the instances she had personally came face to face with those who were afflicted by the very virus this ship’s cargo could help eradicate. She thought of the raid on the Coruscant lab where Poffo nearly succumbed to the infection before his amputation. Of her two sisters that were on the verge of becoming mindless murderous monsters before she was forced to end their life. Was what they were here doing really worth it? Were the credits earned from this raid going to offset the guilt of letting thousands of people die when they couldn’t afford the price tag the Syndicates placed on each vial? Especially when the ISC would distribute them across the galaxy for free? Probably not. But the credits someone could earn as a reward for ‘recovering’ them from a pirate raid sure as hell would be.

”Sorry boys… Change of plans,” Aska muttered to herself as she began typing into the console. Placing the bridge in full lock down would both activate the rayshield of the previously cut through door as well as disable access to the hyperdrive, effectively trapping Harkeen and some of his men with no capability of using the heavy freighter to simply jump from the system. Satisfied, Aska drew her SE-45 and raised her commlink to the mouthpiece of her mask.

”Kayto, can you hear me?”

”Indeed, ma’am,”

”I’m transmitting you my coordinates. Bring the
Night Terror to my location and be ready for a fast extraction,”

Replacing her commlink into the pocket of her armor, Aska stepped over the unconscious Security Officer and started to make her way back to the cargo hold. If she was going to keep this shipment out of the Syndicates hands, she had a lot of work to do and some seriously uneven odds to circumvent.

Drussk was swiftly disappointed to find the cabin only occupied by dead men by the time he got to the front of the ranks. Giving one of the dead men a strong kick in the head to vent his frustration, Drussk hissed his displeasure as he wandered off looking for someone to kill.

Coincidentally, he had just stepped out of the main cabin when the ray shields sealed the rest of the crew in. Dropping his stance as he lurched away from the sizzling ray shield, Drussk turned to eye the corridor back into the inner workings of the ship.

"Sssomebodysss playing gamesss." Drussk hissed in particularly to no one. Giving a glance back to the trapped captain and crew, Drussk drew his blaster and gave them a salute with it. "The hunt isss on boysss hsssk hsssk." He laughed before stalked away, his scaled feet traveling lightly and quietly through the corridors of the ships. He loved games.

His nostrils flared as he passed under the open airduct from earlier. The mercenary he had helped up into the air ducts had not been seen in the main cabin. He took a deep inhale as he caught her scent. Sniffing the air, he leapt up into the air duct. Too tight of a fit but now he had a direction.

Stalking down the corridors, he caught a whiff of the woman's scent. Peeking into what appeared to be a screen room of some sort, Drussk spotted the man on the ground. He smelled alive, and the gentle swell of his chest indicated that he yet lived.

Not for long.

Stepping into the room, Drussk looked around before feeling satisfied that he was alone. Machete sliding quietly from its sheath on his back, Drussk drew the blade across the unconscious mans neck. He inhaled deeply as the scent of freshly spilled blood filled the air, eyes dilating slightly as the deliciously pungent aroma struck his brain. His heart raced as he turned to look back out the room.

There was still more to this hunt.

His mind raced as he snaked quietly from the room, slithering through the corridor quietly as he followed the smell of armor oil and blaster gas, clothe and leather and most importantly that ever recognizable baseline scent... Human. Maybe off brand human. His quiet step brought him closer and closer to the storage bay, where his quarry no doubt conspired to double-cross Captain Haskeen, and more importantly... Drussk.

The bright, white lights that had previously flooded the halls of the Hipori suddenly shut off - replaced by the dim, red glow of emergency lighting. Salbecca had just dumped the corpses out of the airlock before the doors slammed shut, nearly taking his arm off in the process. Had this been the action of the crew, before they were killed? Or some mechanical error? No, he quickly ruled both of those out; the timid crew had not even fought back, they wouldn't attempt a pathetic last stand like this. He sprinted, yowling, back to the door he had blasted open earlier. Ray shields. This could not be a mere mechanical failure, could it? There was only one option left:

They had been betrayed.

It was likely that Trandoshan, Salbecca reasoned. The psychopathic lizards got an almost erotic sense of enjoyment out of violence - what better way to make a name for their dark "Scorekeeper" than to betray and murder their whole crew? But Salbecca wouldn't stoop down to their level, he wouldn't fly into a berserk rage just yet. No, first he would exact a confession. And then, Aska might get to see the head popping technique.

Salbecca nodded to himself, pleased at his own brilliance, before reattaching his translator mask. He pointed at the nearest pirate - an especially short Sullustan - before barking orders. "You - get down this ray shield as quickly as you can!" The terrified man nodded in response, his head bobbing up and down rapidly as he moved. A Wookiee screaming in your face has the tendency to do that. "We need to fan out and search the perimeter of this ship. But half of you fekking louts got yourselves stuck in the bridge." He looked once at the red lights beaming above him, its flickering light an ominous sign of doom. He pressed a button on his commlink, calling the Twi'Leki navigation officer of The Corsair. "There's been a complication. Make sure the droids are still loading the product on your end. I'm going to check it out on mine." While the Sullustan ineptly pressed buttons on the panel next to the ray-shielded door, two human pirates waited around absent-mindedly, fingers on the triggers of their blasters. Salbecca motioned for one to follow him - a rather silly-looking pirate with a bandana covering his scalp. The pair moved cautiously, aiming to return to the rear of the ship where the droids were meant to load the vaccines.

Dozens of pirates intent on stealing the entire shipment of vaccines against a single clone born and bred for combat and espionage. Aska had faced worse challenges though she wasn’t one to overestimate herself. While the Hipori wasn’t as large a ship as some of the war vessels of the Sith or New Republic, it was still vast enough that there were plenty of hiding places for a renegade crew member to conceal herself and formulate a plan, so as she made her way towards the cargo hold she allowed the wheels of her mind to turn.

With a portion of Haskeen’s crew locked away within the bridge, Aska knew that the advantage she had given herself was temporary. What she needed next was a distraction for the remaining men and women that had not been with their commanding officer.

While most likely would need some time to come to the conclusion that there had been a turncoat, that this entire situation wasn’t just some sort of technical malfunction, there would undoubtedly be one or two untrusting members who would suspect otherwise. That paranoia could well be her ticket, especially when she considered the fact that there were two naturally born enemies a part of the same team.

Careful of where she tread, Aska doubled back towards the bridge to let whatever foot traffic that remained free roaming the transport to congregate in the cargo hold before turning back and heading there herself. As she approached the doorway that led into the massive chamber, she could see the gargantuan wookie as well as a new companion at his side.

”What in the ever-loving hell is going on?!” Aska declared her arrival to Salbecca as she approached, her altered mechanical tone projecting a false sincerity of ignorance to the situation despite her being the cause. ”Everyone’s holed up in the bridge! Did we seriously get out-smarted by a bunch of morons in uniform? Are we at least on track back here?”

Drussk followed the mercenaries scent trail to the ships storage bay. He stepped cautiously into the room. Durasteel boxes contained what they had come to steal, some sort of injection against the AMS virus. A vaccine, the others had called it. Drussk stalked among the rows of crates, nostrils sniffing the air and on high alert. A noise startled him and he turned, raising his blaster to point it at... one of the pirate's loader droids. It grabbed a crate and carried it away, presumably to the Carrion's storage bay.

"Playing hiiide and ssseek are we?" Drussk hissed quietly to himself as he jumped around the corner of one stack of crates, hoping to catch the merc woman there. No luck. He glanced at the labels on the boxes. Lines and circles, strange symbols... and a man shape. The next box had a different man shape, shaped more like Quarren or a Mon Cal. Seafood. Checking the boxes as he passed them in pursuit of the merc, Drussk stopped and licked an eyeball as he looked at one box in particular.

The picture on it was of a Trandoshan shaped humanoid.

Approaching the box, he eyed the control panel before pressing a green button. The lid popped off with a hiss to reveal rows and rows of small vials, neatly stacked and packaged. Glancing around, Drussk looked for witnesses before laughing at himself. He was a pirate, they were pirating this ship. Why would he care about witnesses. Grabbing a handful of vials, he stuffed them in his pocket before turning his head at the sound of voices.

Crouching low, Drussk snuck between crates as he approached the source of the voices. A hunter's step was quiet.

Drussk's step was quiet enough that Salbecca didn't hear it. His focus was less attuned to his senses, at the moment; he was busy running over the possibilities in his mind. Perhaps foolishly, perhaps nervously, he expected his companions beside him to at least watch his back. He turned to Domino - he eyed her with no more suspicion than any other pirate beside him - and responded. "We're about to find out. Keep your blasters ready." He raised his own vibroblade, activating its' primer before a yellow glow surrounded it. He feared his shatterbeam rifle would be too big a gun for the close quarters. These tools were poor subsitutes for the rykk blades and bowcaster the frakking Sector Rangers had stolen from him, but he would have to make do.

He went to the door closest to the stern, the massive storage room that Aska and Drussk had stealthily slipped out of. His hand tensed as he signaled for
the pirate and Domino to join him against the wall. He counted down on one hand; when his last finger dropped, he curled his paw into a fist and let out a fearsome roar. His translator took away much of the emotive impact, reducing it to a mechanical, quick string of words, "FRAKKINGWITHMYMONEY," before charging into the now-empty room. He let out a deep sigh as he lowered his blade. Inside was the loader droid, patiently, slowly, loading the vaccines. The mystery remained unsolved, but at least the vaccines were fine.

Wait just a frakking minute...One of these boxes had been opened. Its contents were looted. He gestured at the open box to his two compatriots. "Someone thought they could skim some off the top, looks like. Maybe that's the source of this trouble." Salbecca knelt down to get a better look at its contents - he pressed the control panel again to close the box. Might as well make sure the remaining vaccines stay cold. When the box was fully shut, the pieces finally came together: He saw the Trandoshan shape on the ransacked box. It was Drussk, after all. Salbecca grinned, proud that his theory had been proven true, before instructing the group. "Stay on your guard. I know that thing is lurking around here somewhere." He raised the vibroblade again. Things were going to get interesting, after all.

A bead of sweat formed at Aska’s hairline beneath her helmet as she cautiously followed along behind Salbecca. Not from the discomfort of the encasement she had placed her head in nor from any sort of abnormally high temperature; they were in space, after all. Rather, from a nervousness of being discovered as the transgressor of this little raid. She’d never met a wookie before and after all the stories she had heard of their volatility, the clone was far from eager of being on the receiving end of his rage. Still, she had her training to fall back on. From a young age, she was always made aware that the galaxy was full of a variety of species with an equal variety of unique talents and attributes. Humans may well be the most abundant breed of sentient in their reality but they were, for lack of a better term, sub-par. They were the plain standard against which many other peoples were compared due to their lack of anything extraordinary. Where a human saw a dark alley, a Cathar could see the rat squirming in the shadows. Where a human smelled nothing but dust and dirt, a Shistavanen could pick up the week-old track of a runaway child. So Aska would breathe calmly, slowing her heart rate as best she could. She would remain at ease and continue to perpetuate the lie for as long as she could.

As Salbecca rounded the corner with a ferocious roar only to come face to face with an empty room, Aska would quietly walk up behind him as his pirate compatriot with her SE-45 drawn. She immediately spotted the opened case of vials and as the giant wookie moved to seal it once again, the Trandoshan markings became clear for the trio to see.

”Heh… You’ve got to be shittin’ me,” the clone chuckled through her mask as the realisation dawned that fate was playing in her favor, offering her a scapegoat on a silver platter. ”Typical pirate scum,” she continued to muse, the irony of her words not lost on her. Smirking beneath her helmet, the clone scanned the room and deducted that it was just them and the binary loader droid for the moment. The Trandoshan had moved on and was somewhere else in the ship. ”The lizard may have an agreement with some of the others of the crew. These vaccines aren’t safe here until they’ve been loaded on the ship. You’ve got a bit of bad blood with the thief already. I’ll stay here, make sure no one else gets any sticky fingers. Why don’t you two track that salted slug down and teach him a lesson?” Aska offered, hopefully appeasing to Salbecca’s natural hatred of their new target.

Drussk quietly eavesdropped on the trio that as he stalked the group through the crates. A traitor, a wookie, and some dude named Dak if he remembered correctly. Or perhaps it was Zak. Either way, it sounded as if now the hunter was the hunted. Drussk stopped himself from hsssking, holding back a chortle at the humor of the situation.

Maybe now was the time to get his wookie.

But he was pretty sure the woman was trying to screw them, and that the wookie was just being gullible in this situation... or he was in on it.

Getting close behind some crates, Drussk waited for the wookie and mercenary to go by before springing from his hiding place, wrapping his arm around the pirate positioning him in between himself and the pair. His blaster leveled on Aska as he held Zak/Dak to his chest with the blade of his sword against the still and scared pirate.

"Wookieee. You think I'm the traitor? I'm hurt... Sssorry Zak, you're jussst insssurance." He hissed in the trembling pirates ear before sniffing and glaring at the hostage. "That'sss disssgusssting." He sighed before continuing. "Why don't you asssk our friend where sheee'sss been thisss whole time. Asssk her about what sheee did in the sssecurity room." He motioned at the merc with his blaster.
