Affiliation: N/A

Ownership: Nephthys Ro

Intent: This droid is for use in roleplay as a data-gathering and intel droid. They are built for slicing and data dealing, which makes them "less hassle" in the field than astromech droids, which are larger in size. This droid is necessary as a companion for my character specifically, and I can see it very useful to slicer characters if they got hold of one. Due to the rarity, these droids are more expensive, but if someone had the money and underworld connections, they could acquire one.

Model/Name: TD model, this droid's name specifically is TD-4

Class: Class 2

Locomotion: The droid rolls around on a sort of rounded wheel of a body. It has tread on the wheel part itself to ensure it doesn't slide around out of control on wet or steep surfaces. The outside of the body on the left side has an "arm" that attaches the head to the body while still allowing the wheel to move in a full 360 degrees. The droid does have to generally move in a lateral direction and takes time to turn in any other direction. However, the droid does make up for the slower movement change in its faster speed than standard astromechs.

Power Supply: The droid has generic power cells that do need recharging every 15 hours, and the cells need replacement after about 2 years due to the necessity of the droid needing to be constantly functioning.

Sensors: The droid has a black photoreceptor on its head, as well as two rather tall antennas on top of its domed head. One of the droid's nicer features is a thermal sensor, which can detect in a radius of 25 meters.

Size: The droid is 0.67 meters tall.

Composition: The droid is made of durasteel, with the photoreceptor made of transparisteel for obvious vision reasons.

Weapons: The droid has no weapons.

Tools: The droid has two antennas, a photoreceptor, a holoprojector, a thermal sensor, and a probe extending from the right side of the droid's body, which can be used for use with computers and most importantly for slicing. The back of the droid's head also has one launcher cable that magnetically attaches to various objects with magnetic properties, which extends 1 meter.

Description: The TD droid series is intended by the manufacturer to be the solution to the droid size problem many slicers and smugglers have when using astromechs. The TD series is smaller, less hassle, and compact in comparison to astromechs, not to mention programmed specially for data dealing, thus giving it more storage space within its data banks for important slicing details rather than being taken up by pesky star charts and mechanical repair instructions. The TD series droid's head is mounted onto an arm which is attached to the side of the droid's wheeled body, allowing the wheel to rotate a full 360 degrees forward or backward. This wheel has tread to keep it from slipping excessively on slippery or steep ground. Its primary function is for data dealing and slicing functions.

The TD series droid can use its thermal sensor to detect creatures, droids, and other matter in all directions, with a radius of 25 meters. The droid's probe stores in a compartment on the right side of its body. The droid's cable launcher pops out of the back of its domed head, the cable extending 1 meter. All TD series droids are 0.67 meters tall and made of durasteel, so while they are not lightsaber resistant, they are very sturdy and suitable for travel across multiple times of terrain, made even easier due to their small size. The droids all have a photoreceptor, two antennas (a bit tall though, so be careful), and a holoprojector on their domed heads.

More importantly, this is a carbon copy of the BB series, and in particular, BB-8. Now, don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore BB-8. But it's a carbon copy, which means it most likely won't be approved.

droids purpose has been revamped, the original design was totally a screwup on my part, sorry about that. its totally useless now as an astromech of any kind, has basically no defense, and is only good for slicing and data dealing.

If you're going with an astromech that fits the timeline why not just use the T1 - T3 series. They fit the timeline better due to the fact they come from the original platform games of KOTOR and you don't have to submit a tech write up because the T3 already has some goodies. Also what I think is really odd about this is @Padmé already told you in a OOC thread that you couldn't use the BB-8 design.

the droid is completely changed in the writeup now, its no longer an astromech (itd be hella useless for that). i made a tech writeup because i wanted to have something similar to bb-8 in this timeline (that was my original messup for making a carbon copy, tho, so i changed it). plus i hate astromechs, theyre ugly.
