LEGALITY
Legal? Illegal? Restricted? Describe any nuances on the legality of your weapon to own and carry in different places around the galaxy. Pulse Wave and most Slugthrower weapons are banned in many places, just like disruptors would be in the future, whereas simple stun pistols would be legal on all but the most extremely pacifistic worlds. Portable missile launchers and such are likely illegal in much of the Core, but whipcord launchers and other non lethal devices would be considered humane and legal. Basically, what happens if you get caught by the authorities with this?

INTENT
Why? Why did you create this? No, seriously. Weapons are judged with greater scrutiny than other tech. Guns in Star Wars go "pew pew" and burn your opponent, that's pretty much all you need to know. If you're submitting a weapon for approval, it needs to be pretty exotic or special. And remember, slugthrowers in Star Wars will never be as damaging as blasters, nor will the rounds travel as fast. No exceptions. Ever. Does that break RL physics? Yes, but SW rarely uses RL physics. This will influence any ruling made on your technology, so please explain at length what your intentions are. If this is generic tech, you can omit this section.

ARMOR NAME

Orar-Skudru Vizsla's personal Beskar'gam (@Skudru Vizsla). Built over time by him with the help of relatives whilst living a more nomadic life as a protector on Concord Dawn. An offshoot sigil is sported on a pauldron. Despite heavy clan ties it's colour is always subject to change depending on events in life.

LEGALITY

Not necessarily illegal on most worlds yet easily perceived as suspect or threatening depending on the world's history stance with Mandalorians and the unavoidable would/wannabes.

INTENT

To more effectively document my character's armour and the potential downgrade, upgrades or alternations I may make/earn in the future.

Function 1: Scout HUD

  • Filters are bulky attachments to a helmet, or function as part of a mask, that filter out environmental contaminants such as smoke or most toxins. They are susceptible to caustic substances and damage.
Function 3: Grapple Line
  • Grapple lines are capable of supporting the weight of 1-2 people and can launch up to ranges typically up to 15 meters away. Once no longer in use, they are detached from the launcher and left behind. While hand-held grapple guns are capable of auto-winching, armor or wrist mounted devices lack this ability. Grapple lines must be manually activated and controlled by a button or switch.
Function 4: Thermal Undersuit

Function 5: Mag-Boots
  • Magnetic boots contain electromagnets in the soles and allow for enhanced movement on ferrous surfaces in microgravity or steep gradients. This functionality must be turned on or off manually by a button or switch.

The Glie-44 blaster pistol is a hand-held weapon designed and produced by Eirriss Ryloth Defense Tech (Eirriss Ryloth DT), a defense and arms manufacturer based out of Ryloth. Very much a one of a kind weapon but by no means special. The GLIE-44's strongest celling points are it's durability, responsive trigger pull and indented cooling vent.

The Glie-44 or "Glie Pistol" is a robust and sturdy blaster, weighing in at 1.43 kilograms with a fully charged power pack and approximately 32 centimetres in length. The weapon unfortunately lacks a stun mode, making it unsuitable for non-lethal take downs, but boasts a respectable medium damage output with an optimal range of 50 metres and 50 shot capacity. Many aftermarket accessories such as parts, optics or mod-kits often work seamlessly with this product

Glie-44's are less common in recent years but a good browse can easily bear promising results for anyone in the market for them. While primarily a service sidearm - issued to military, police and security forces - it is just as likely to be seen in the hands of a home defender.

Legal. Ownership of blaster pistols is not restricted in most of the Galaxy, though there are exceptions to the rule and Eirriss Ryloth Defense Tech is not liable for your detention.

To create another blaster pistol of a different aesthetic and operation?

As a craft created with the soul intention of inserting combatants onto a field of conflict the UT-60D U-Wing requires a specific operational requirement to acquire and with it's general rarity due to the companies periodic/limited production runs and preference for defence organisations, very few parties find themselves in a position in which they can realistically obtain one legally.

DESCRIPTION
Initially introduced by a now defunct company as a new method of pest dispatching - originally marketed towards spacers what with the rampancy of mynocks and other craft hugging creatures - it was swiftly deemed unethical and the official production of said pieces was halted barely a year in. However this hasn't stopped many weapons enthusiasts from taking the idea and tailoring it to their own needs, some even going as far to turn it into a slugthrower of sorts.

Originally designed to "simply" dislodge stubborn pests it has quickly become a villain of sorts. Reconfigured repulsor technology that is compressed in and discharged at unsettling speeds which causes one or two things: the significant prepelling of the target across 10-15 metres or death by over-pressure, which is entirely dependant on the targets physicality. A very cruel weapon and uncivilised method of dispatching.

LEGALITY
Illegal. While the basic theory of forceful dislodging is not and most of the parts are ultimately legal the overall crude hodge-podge that comes together to form is most Repulsor Guns and there effect in reality is very illegal.

INTENT
Created with the intention of introducing a weapon with generally uncommon properties (in terms of what else is produced for the TechBoard).

No. Anyone with enough patience, time and technical knowledge could make one out of the right spare parts in their living room.

DESCRIPTION
The GK-12 Light Freighter or "Quad Runner" is a result of reluctance to change and consumer demand. Practically a one to one of the companies Space-Tug it's no surprise that the craft is highly durable and manoeuvres like a brick.

Unarmed and well armoured the Quad Runner's best defence is stubbornness, and an uncanny ability to have a bandit piloting a small starfighter to simply give up the chase.

Pulse Wave and most Slugthrower weapons are banned in many places, just like disruptors would be in the future, whereas simple stun pistols would be legal on all but the most extremely pacifistic worlds. Portable missile launchers and such are likely illegal in much of the Core, but whipcord launchers and other non lethal devices would be considered humane and legal. Basically, what happens if you get caught by the authorities with this?

INTENT
Why? Why did you create this? No, seriously. Weapons are judged with greater scrutiny than other tech. Guns in Star Wars go "pew pew" and burn your opponent, that's pretty much all you need to know. If you're submitting a weapon for approval, it needs to be pretty exotic or special. And remember, slugthrowers in Star Wars will never be as damaging as blasters, nor will the rounds travel as fast. No exceptions. Ever. Does that break RL physics? Yes, but SW rarely uses RL physics. This will influence any ruling made on your technology, so please explain at length what your intentions are. If this is generic tech, you can omit this section.
