NAME: Terrick Barata
Faction: Jedi
Rank: Padawan
Species: Human
Age 16
Gender: Male
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 203 lbs
Credits: 1,000
Force Sensitive: Yes

Appearance: A light brown and strong jawed, muscular youth, Terrick's body is layered in an impressive amount of muscle for his age. From his broad shoulders to his sturdy legs and the strong abs in between, the young man can boast a strikingly well built body along with a handsome face. His fine black hair is cut close in a buzz cut, and his thin stubble grants him a rather rugged look. His dark brown eyes are plain enough on their own, but usually saunter over things with some hidden amusement lingering in his look.

Force Powers:
A basic grasp of both Force Sense, and Telekinesis.

Skills:
A decent shot
Knows a few languages and has a knack for quickly picking up ones he doesn’t.

Lightsaber Forms:

Strengths and Weaknesses:
Terrik is easily stronger than most of his peers, and while not the most acrobatic, he can be quick on his feet and in his mind, being the novice tactician and strategist that he is. The young man also possesses an innate ability to quickly and comfortably adapt to most climates, especially those of hotter temperatures.

His downfall is most commonly in his lack of stamina and his nonexistent inclination towards pacing himself, something which is only worsened when combined with his attitude of getting most things done as fast and as furiously as possible.

Gear:
Basic Padawan Robes

Personality: Naturally cynical, his charm and wit are sometimes squandered as he tends to keep to himself or those he already knows with little inspiration towards meeting new people. Despite this, it can be easy for strangers to pick out Terrick's faults such as his arrogance and impatience soon after first meeting him. The young man's better qualities, however, such as his humor, friendly, and even caring ways have been known to shine through on occasion.

Biography:
I figure I should do this now before I don't have any time for it later. Ummm... My name is Terrick Barata, I was born on Corellia, though I don't remember much of it as we moved soon after my mother died when I was three. I don't remember much of her either. Dad said she just got really sick one day, and he decided to leave once she passed because without her, the world wasn’t much of a home for him anymore. I would have believed that that was all there was to it, but knowing my father, he was no doubt taking to opportunity to evade some rather nasty men who wanted their money back from him. He was paranoid for weeks after we left, always looking over his shoulder. We moved around for a bit after that, rarely staying in one place or planet for long. I wish I wasn’t as I young as I had been when it all happened, I was way too young to appreciate or remember the adventure it must have been. Eventually though, we wound up on Tatooine, a place where my father had family. I thought it all wretched right off the bat, especially when our family turned out to be just an uncle, who seemed too old to be my dad's brother but just as stingy with his credits. He didn't give us much to start off with and I can't blame him now like I did then, nobody had a lot there. It would be enough for my dad though. The man had a way with his words, and could charm the fur off a wookie and for free if he really put his mind to it. He usually went about convincing people to invest in things and ideas of his. It’s hard to remember all of his 'fool proof' plans, but I do remember he was cautious with all of them, probably something he learned to be from his mistakes on Corellia. Eventually, one of his ventures with the hutts struck gold, and it seemed almost overnight, we went from nobodies to somebodies. He didn't stop there though. When he wasn’t playing nice with the hutts and staying on their good side, which is hard to find on a hutt, he continued on with his well planned out gambles, and now with the money we had to put in, the returns for things that panned out were even greater. Eventually, he had his fingers in almost everything that could make him money, both on and off world, some of which I learned weren't exactly the most legal of businesses. Never the less, I truly respect my father for what he did, he made the Barata name not just something we had, but something we were proud to have.

In summary, being the son of someone rich and powerful had its perks, and it was fun when I didn't have to suffer all the seemingly endless teachers, trainers and instructors my dad had me taught by. I knew what he was doing, trying to forge me into his successor, and the idea of taking over... troubled me more than anything. True, what my dad was offering was enviable, but it also wasnt mine. Did I really want the thing that would probably define the rest of my life just handed down to me. What worth is there really in something that I had almost no hand in making? Well I guess you already know how strongly I felt if you're watching this. Anyways, that just half of the reason I'm here and not on Tatooine anymore.

I have to head out soon, so I'll just get to the point. I was fifteen when the jedi came to our house. Apparently I have a connection to the force, so did my father and his father before him and so on. But the jedi wasnt here for either us, he was seeking out my uncle, who was apparently also a jedi gone stray or something, it didn't matter how annoying I tried to be when I asked, nobody gave me much details on that part of the family history. Long story short, the jedi gave up his search after a while, and while my father was content with leaving it all at that, I was not. I found my uncle myself, managed to convince the old bastard to teach me what he could, and now, I find my self on this bucket to Coruscant.

Were about to land and something tells me it won't be gently, so I'll finish this later. I'm eager to see what the jedi temple has to offer and what I can learn here. Well, anxious to be honest... No, neither of those. What I am is... ready.
