DESCRIPTION
The Anointed is a Dark Side cult that has recently surfaced on Jedha. It is believed by Matukai warrior-monks and Jedi Investigators to be led by at least one force sensitive trained in the use of the Dark Side. Currently, not much is known surrounding the cult aside from its religious fervor towards a Dark Deity only called He or Him in the scant few “scriptures” that have been found. In addition, the cult seems to believe that by utilizing Kyber to conduct human sacrifice, they will gain the favor of their Dark God and ascend to a higher state of being. These rituals overtime corrupts the Kyber uses in them.
Because of their need for Kyber to conduct these rituals, it is believed the cult is localized to Jedha, for now. Extermination of this fledgling death cult before it can establish itself should be prioritized.
INTENT
The Anointed is meant to be a cult that operates within the Dark Side of the Force but is entirely disconnected from the Sith and their machinations. In addition, this Personal Lore that is meant to be expanded as investigations into the cult occur. They are the primary antagonist of Maalik’s initial story arc.
