Some say the pen is mightier than the sword, an adage that communication is greater the violence. But what if that pen is wielded for violence? Some say that the pen is mightier than the sword but many agree that the pen has now overshadowed any violence and destruction that the sword could ever inflict. When the pen is used for such things as sorcery and evil, the sword looks pure and just. The Black and White Scrolls are just such a thing, something written by the pen but far mightier than the sword. Hidden beneath the ancient language of ur-Kittat lies a dozen rituals and incantations for something that cannot be named, for no one has survived long enough to read it.

Description

Three unassuming scrolls sit ideally, looking like any other ancient text you would find in the deep dark back shelves of a library, the parchment tattered and torn. Millenia of age wasting away at the fibres of the vellum have made it delicate to touch and read, some letters may be missing or may be specifically left out, a safety net to protect its original creator it is unknown.

If one glances back through the millennia of history since the formation of the Drast Empire, mentions of scrolls similar in appearance to The Black and White Scrolls occur throughout the outer rim. You see this name is one of many and one only recently given to these three dark pieces of art, only specific details of its content link the hundred different stories to these pieces of parchment.

All these stories are mysteries and vague, mentions of a dark goddess ready to rise from the black infinite void of the galaxy, or a bright saviour awaiting to return from her exile. Blood sacrifices, acts of charity, murder and self-sacrifice, from one end of the spectrum to the other from Light to Dark, Sith to Jedi stories permeate around these scrolls giving none who search clear information of what they entail or desire. Though every bearer no matter how wicked or pure has all met the same fate, death before discovery.

Though these stories are mixed and unclear there origins are not, although over a hundred stories have taken place only eleven planets have ever been named; Courscant, Lothal, Devaron, Ilum, Dagobah, Ahch-To, Mustafar, Ushruu, Aleen, Iktotch and Exegol. Perhaps there is some knowledge to gather from this, something someone in the future might put together so that they will not fall into the same fate as those who came before. One who might unravel its mysteries to find the Saviour or The Goddess?

Intent

To supply a write up for the scrolls @Jaikus Altaris and @Darth Raze found upon Telos.
