- The Blade of Freya
.

History
B7PVHBM.png

The Blade of Freya is an ancient and sacred weapon to the Deucalians. It is said that with this sword, Freya slew a dire wolf and commanded the respect of all Deucalians in order to send them on their sacred mission to conquer the stars. Although it is known that the blade made it off the world of Deucalia and changed many clan leaders' hands over time, the blade was lost to time nearly a thousand years ago. The blade is rumored to be buried in a stone somewhere on Nal Hutta, waiting for the right person to come and claim it.

Anyone who wields the blade of Freya, be they Deucalian, has the right to call forth all clans to the stars once more to follow the blade's owner. However, this is only acceptable after the blade's wielder has proven themselves. Just as Freya slew the Dire wolf, so must a new owner slay whoever held the blade previously. If no such previous owner exits, then the blade must be claimed by right of plunder in a raid. It cannot be given.

The blade of Freya is much like a regular greatsword, roughly 1.5 meters long and comprised of a durasteel-phryk alloy in order to make it lightsaber resistant. It's greatest ability, however, is that it can be hooked up to a power pack like a lightsaber of old. Once hooked up, it generates plasma energy like a lightsaber, similarly able to cut like one. However, at its core, this is still a great and heavy blade. It is an inefficient combat weapon, and seen more as symbol than anything else.

A lore writeup to bring the weapon into Site canon and as an artifact for the Deucalians. This is NOT an efficient weapon and NOT intended/allowed for PVP use outside of sanctioned duels among Deucalians for the blade..
