Thread Prefix: FanonName: The Chikyū, which can also be spelled as ChikyuuBiology:

Physical Appearance & Make-up

The Chikyuu possess a golden blood that has often been an attractive trophy of their enemies because of its ability to stay stable and inability to become rancid, a golden blood that serves hospitals well as an universal donor. Believing themselves to descend from higher beings, though only those in the royal family still are higher beings, they have dense veins and two hearts that are part of their circulatory system. Their bones are denser than a humans, and though that plays into giving them more tensile strength, their genetic engineering, and the way their bodies react to food also have a part in the strength of the bones; compared to human bones, they are nearly thrice as strong, though not thrice as heavy (1.5x as heavy, actually). They develop muscles easier than other humanoid races, and even regular light exercise can keep them in good health. A third lung accompanies their base pair, acting as a back-up and giving them extra breath and stamina. An entirely new organ, the ‘white lily liver’, which accompanies the normal liver, makes them more resistant to poisons than humans, and produces the unique pigments that give gorgeous hair and eye color to the Chikyuu. From pink and blue eyes and hair, to the shock white hair that often catches eyes, the Chikyuu appearance is often varied. Having the same facial features and skin tones as humans, however, leave many believing that the Chikyuu are humans with dyed hair, until they bleed their golden blood, display a physical feat, or until someone notices that they have strong.

Special Features & Abilities

+ In-Tune: The Chikyuu are in-tune with the force, possessing both a higher count of midi-chlorians and the trait of each of the members of their race being force-sensitive, though most don’t have control of the force to the degree that those who are acceptable to a force-sensitive faction would have. While usually very ginger in their ability to use the force, those that could be drafted into a force-sensitive faction often possess a higher potential than their peers. Certain families in the Chikyuu have become renowned for the powerful products they have produced, many of them even refusing to breed with those who have lesser abilities, and breeding only with other families that are known to produce such valuable individuals. This feature plays a part in the Chikyuu’s naturally enhanced (compared to humans) abilities, and they make fine warriors and scholars alike because of it. The strongest of bloodlines that the Chikyuu species has may even have multiple members in a force-sensitive faction, but they may also be kept explicitly for service under Empress Iconia Sun (her ruling name).

+ Enhanced Physical Attributes: The physical and acrobatic traits of the Chikyuu are of a far higher tier than many other races in their standard population that, as said before, has a majority that can’t join factions like the Jedi or Sith. They are often longer-lived both because of the Force, and because of their longer lasting bodies, most of the civilian population having life-spans that exceed 500 years (of course, this means that they have population control). In gymnastics (jumping, speed, stamina, flexibility), they are the greatest competitors of the Terellian Jango Jumpers, but it is their strength, reaction time, balance, and agility in which they excel; note that their strength isn’t much higher than a human’s, but that your usual Chikyuu in peak physical health is able to lift 4 times their physical weight, but that is often only in peak health, and that it is in the other traits where their force-enhanced bodies come into play. The capacity to perform fantastic acts with their powerful, force-enhanced bodies has made them the Galaxy’s foremost athletes, with exceptional races like the Terellian Jango Jumpers matching or exceeding them in some areas, but ultimately not having the same physical prowess as them in other areas. The pride of their people, these enhanced abilities have allowed the Chikyuu to maintain their neutrality, even though independent Chikyuu can serve whatever faction they wish. Though not as dangerous as some races, in great numbers they can prove to be quite the threat, and thus their independence is maintained.Breeding: The Chikyuu sexually reproduce, and age much more slowly than humans after they reach the 16 to 25 year old range so they can enjoy their long lifespans. They are able to breed with many different races, especially other humanoids, and those they can’t sexually breed with they are still able to produce a child in the laboratory, sometimes with excessive work to do so, but if that is successful usually depends on the will of the prospective parents to continue as it could take years to do.Strengths:

+ In-tune with the Force, giving them force-enhanced bodies, though people with enough control over the Force to join a force-sensitivity are often as rare as in any other species among the general population, except for a small percentage of clans, and the royal family

+ Enhanced senses, though they have to be muted for safety reasons, and all Chikyuu have the tech to control their senses on them; this means that the enhanced senses are not functional unless they ‘unmute’ them, which they can do in varying degrees

Weaknesses:

+ Highly vulnerable to sensory input (they often wear special filtering equipment in their noses, on their eyes, and in their ears because of this, which filters out the dangers, but equipment is a victim of their technological development, and is vulnerable to ionic weaponry, though not much else)

+ They often feel superior to humans or species with similar limitations, which has caused conflict in the past, and it has gotten to the point that the Empress issued an official mandate that government employees must undergo sensitivity training, and special education courses regarding how not to be awful are required to be taken as part of their children’s mandatory education, as an atmosphere of arrogance was being bred, and it was proving dangerous to politics, tourism, and non-Chikyuu citizens living under Her Imperial Majesty’s rule. Thankfully, the royal family is more modest than most royal families, especially Her Imperial Majesty’s daughter.

+ Despite their physical enhancements, they are still organic, and thus quite vulnerable to being killed with a blaster bolt

+ They require three times as many calories as humans per day, and prefer to eat meals, but to save time they usually have 3 to 5 meals per day with rations and special foods taking care of their caloric needs. If one were to deprive them of food, they would likely die three times as quickly as a human would.Diet: The Chikyuu are omnivores, and can eat more variety of foods than most omnivores thanks to their modest poison resistance. They can extract 100% of nutrients from their foods thanks to evolution, but don’t require all 100% for normal operation, and these extra nutrients go towards enhancing the strength of certain parts of the body. They need to eat three times as many calories as humans do, and, though they would prefer meals, they will often have ‘only’ 3 to 5 meals per day, eating rations or special foods to take care of their caloric needs.Behavior/Temperament: They are often loyal to the Empress, have high amounts of focus and dedication to the things that are close to them, and are generally blind to differences among their own species, though some are somewhat elitist (or entirety). Other than that, their personalities are shaped by their experiences and genetic predispositions.Communication: The Chikyuu are verbal communicators with adaptive vocal chords that allow them to speak nearly any spoken language, and brains that allow them to comprehend more complex ones. Clearly not all of them speak more than two languages (a second language class is required in mandatory education), but each of them can speak Galactic Basic. Mute or deaf Chikyuu are given a telepathic transmitter implant that allows them to communicate with most species, especially other Chikyuu, as all Chikyuu can receive but not necessarily send telepathic signals with great accuracy. The original Chikyuu language has been dead for millennia, but some scholars still dabble in it, and the royal family is often known to speak it. A revival of ‘Chikyuu Speech’ is underway, and it is expected that in about 50 years, it will be a required course in education, and the Chikyuu will speak it alongside Galactic Basic, and perhaps another language.Culture: The Chikyuu have a complex socio-political, religious, and cultural background tracing back to an ancient interstellar empire that has long since fallen, but remains in the mixed blood of the Chikyuu. They believe themselves to be descended from higher lifeforms, and they are correct in a way, but their species is actually a mixture of several different races that have lent them parts of their genes. The royal family that leads the Chikyuu under Empress Iconia Sun is believed to be the last true remnants of this higher blood, a belief that is only bolstered by Iconia Sun’s particularly long lived life through use of the Force. In our world, the Chikyuu would be the people of Imperial Japan, which is why they believe in the Shinto Gods, and worship them in a similar, but unique fashion. Caste systems do not exist on Chikyuu or in the Chikyuu culture. A progressive society is the face of the Chikyuu people, though a select few almost let arrogance ruin all of that. Widely accepting of differences, especially within their own species, they care not about one’s sexuality, religion, or skin color, something hammered out by the believes of Empress Iconia Sun and her ancestors in education and propaganda used for good. The Chikyuu are a close-knit society, and neutral in galactic affairs (at least at the moment), but are unafraid to send even children of the Empress or one of the Daimyo off to train with the Jedi or the Sith. They do not believe that doing this is an insight into their political affectations, and simply see it as another form of education and competition, allowing them to encourage those in opposing factions to go all out in the name of rivalry and bettering themselves. Sometimes they are quite the odd people, and often require a strong hand from their rulers so they don’t go too far with something. Fiercely loyal to their Empress and her royal family, the Chikyuu see the Empress as their mother, and know that having their clan’s children serve her is the greatest honor. There is a faction of force-sensitives that serve the Empress, the Legion of the Sun, on top of the usual military, and they are similar to Earth’s Samurai.History: The origins of the Chikyuu trace back to an ancient, interstellar empire of great power, filled with many species that have long since become primitives, only to re-develop space travel, or have become extinct. The colonists from a dozen separate species traveled to the world known as Chikyuu today, and survived the fall of the empire that they hailed from. After millennia of breeding, an unique species was created that borrowed genes from each of them, and a concise culture arose. Memories of the great and mighty beings that once ruled over all of the species of the dead empire remain in the artifacts and ancient legends of the Chikyuu. These aren’t their Gods or Goddesses, but they are said to be the ancestors of the Chikyuu, and history has said this is true in a way.

In the last several centuries, the Chikyuu rapidly expanded their holdings to encompass three star systems, and have heavily developed each of the planets, moons, and any asteroids large enough to host even a small city, factory, or some other useful place into what they needed. A clean, but highly industrialized society of scientists and warriors, they don’t currently have any significant territorial ambitions. Throughout much of this period, Empress Iconia Sun has led the Chikyuu to become a glorious and highly affluent society where hunger has been eradicated, where everyone possesses a small starship for their family, where educated individuals are extremely widespread, and where their culture has a deep love and respect for most individuals in their citizenry. Seen as an utopian society, there are social issues behind the veil that are being worked on by the Empress, her family, the Daimyo, and those loyal to them.

Soon, there may be revolution, or a new golden age of expansion and power may begin, and the Chikyuu might very well reclaim their ancient and legendary might. Only time will tell us what is to come, and only as it comes will it be told.Planet: Chikyuu, the capitol of their three star systems-large nation Technology: The Chikyuu are secretive about their technology, but intelligence reports have reported that they are seemingly more advanced than the Republic and the Sith Empire. Highly developed internally, they have devoted massive resources to research and development simply to make their lives easier, with military technology advancements often a result of civilian tech being developed, except for weapons, engines, sensors, and a handful of other branches. They can create gorgeous artificial environments, and terraform worlds (it’s a slow, but useful process), though they don’t often do this on any large scale. They can also use cybernetics or artificial organs to enhance their people, some seeking more physical strength through artificial muscle, adrenal gland controllers, or a cybernetic implant, while others seek enhanced senses, or poison immunity with the ability to control poison, maybe to emit a fog, with the implant of a venom gland from some creature, and cybernetics to go along with it, or all of them, but it is to be noted that only soldiers or the wealthy often go through these modifications. Most sophisticated in medical sciences, they have found a way to use their blood to make organisms more open to genetic modification, even when an organism is in adulthood, to grow fresh organs, and to aid the blind, the mute, and the deaf far more than other races can aid their blind, mute, and deaf.Intent: I originally had the concept for this species after a short period of infatuation with Imperial Japan, a draft for a nation of biologically sophisticated beings, and then the discovery of this site. I wanted to create a species that would give something to the galaxy this RP takes place in despite their small number compared to some of the more populous races (*coughhumanscoughdarnedrabbitscough*). My plan for the species is to be the race that unique player characters hail from, and to eventually create an independent, and quite possibly neutral faction that doesn’t have to be joined by members of the species, who can be part of another faction, that serves the Empress and the planet of Chikyuu, adding to the culture and mystique of a species that is secretive with even their closest allies. I want to add to the socio-political scene of this roleplay, using this new species to do so as it grows, and adds an intense flavor to this awesome Star Wars universe you guys have built up and defined over the years. Given time, I think that this species and everything that comes from them could become an interesting part of the forum, whether it be in the form of a sect of warrior monks, the warriors serving the Empress, a Sith Lord hailing from the race, or an odd, secretive, and interesting old man that everyone loves, who is highly devoted to his Gods and Goddesses. I will probably be taking things slow, but I am fully intent on seeing this species flourish in my time here, and hopefully leaving a legacy I can be proud of if I ever have to leave.

So they're stronger, faster, more agile, have harder bones, force enhanced bodies, don't need to exercise, have greater stamina, are immune to poisons, have enhanced senses, live for half a millennia and have golden blood that marks them as special. Oh and they're all Force sensitive.

That's seriously OP, don't see this getting approved in this shape and form.

I agree with Wit and BossMan's sentiments. This race is far too overpowered. Also, while I usually don't gripe about formatting, this seriously needs to be better formatted. If I'm having difficulty reading it, then other people will too. Clean it up a bit, tone down the race's abilities, and I'll take another look at it. @ColeFerg
