Alana Kalee sat in the center of a poorly lit chamber, which was part of a dungeon on Ando Prime in the Dark Jedi Temple. She sat with her legs crossed and her arms laying on her thighs in a meditating pose. She wore black leather boots that went up to her knee, black leather pants, and a black tank top. On her black belt, her lightsaber was clipped on. On top of her clothes, we wore a black robe, open and with the hood drawn over her loose red-brown hair, but with her face exposed.

Her eyes closed, she concentrated. Her concentration fell on her intricate and custom made lightsaber. The same lightsaber she crafted as a Jedi Padawan on Ossus, it has since been modified. She could see the various parts and the most important one, the lightsaber crystal. It was amethyst, giving the blade of the lightsaber a purple color, which happened to be Alana's favourite color. In the chamber she awaited for her dark master, Nescius Caedo. She broke concentration. "I beckon for the dark side to consume me completely."

"If that is the case then training will be most difficult."

Nescius had crept up on her. As true to his title of 'assassin', he had been silent, invisible and lurking in the shadows. He was wearing his usual black trousers and tunic, his lightsaber hanging at his belt and his black boots. He wore no cloak or hood, and his short, dark hair was beginning to turn unruly. He awaited her reply.

Alana was then alerted to Nescius' presence by the sound of his voice. "If that is the case then training will be most difficult." She did not understand. She stood on her feet and turned to Nescius and bowed before him on one knee. "What do you mean by that, my master?"

"Because if you're completely consumed by something you'll be nothing but a thoughtless drone," he replied in a tone that said he at least thought that was fairly obvious. He added, "to believe that the dark side is the be all and end all is a common misconception in this temple. But I suppose everybody has their tasks, and mindless drones aren't completely useless. Even so, I'd rather a student of mine aspire to more than that."

He paused and took a step closer to her, sizing her up, taking in he garb, her posture, her looks, her emotions.

"You stand before me with the arrogance that is ill afforded to most crusaders," he took a piece of paper, on which was a typed message in basic, "let's see if you can put your money where your mouth is. You will complete a mission for me, with another Dark Jedi. All of the details you require are on this sheet of paper. Memorise them and destroy it. A ship is requisitioned for you in the hanger, the pair of you shall leave as soon as you are able."

Alana made a small kneel before her master. "Yes, master. Forgive me. I will embark upon your quest and succeed." She then left the room to make her way to the hanger to meet up with her Dark Jedi companion.
