SWTOR-6.0-Onslaught-New-Operation-on-Dxun-2.jpg

Dxun, the ''Demon'' moon of Onderon
When one comes to deal with beings and businesses of all sorts and types, including those of the criminal underground, one is inevitably going to come across some enemies or make some along the way. Stick around long enough or simply be rich and known well enough and some band of sickophants will eventually make you a target. Lorn Drask fell under all of these conditions, he was an established and well known name in the galactic business, long enough in the game and had a number of off the record shady dealings with even shadier groups. Though it wasn't that often that he in person would participate in these meetings some of them from time to time did require his presence in the flesh for one reason or another. Such was the ill fated meeting on Dxun, though for whom was it ill fated remains to be seen. During a meet with a major cell of a criminal group that operated around Onderon and it's neighboring planets one of the two sides, that being the criminal group, had decided to change it's intended goals. Lorn arrived accompanied by three high ranking members of Drask Trading and five bodyguards to a meeting that was supposed to consist of only an equal number of beings of the criminal organisation. However halfway through the meet more armed men appeared, jumping out of their hiding spots around the grassy plains of Dxun and began to slaughter Lorn's group. Backed into a corner and lucky enough that neither of the first shots took his life Lorn was forced to reveal his Dark powers in order to survive this treacherous trap. And now all that was left in the wake of the botched meeting was a dozen or so bodies, mangled, spines and necks broken.

The tall Khill traveled a few miles to the location of the Drask group's ship only to find it ravaged by explosives then returned to the site of his slaughtering and rummaged through the lifeless bodies in search of any equipment that might be useful to him on the Demon moon. Finding a stim pack he jabbed it into his left arm, arm which was struck by one of the blaster bolts in the ensuing chaos. Soon feeling the medical cocktail speeding up his body's natural processes and fastening the healing of the wound. He made sure to pick up a standard blaster from one of the corpses, one of the few weapons that was in a working state after the Force onslaught that was delivered, as well as a short vibrosword. Raising the hood of his robe over his head the Khill Sith made his way into the jungle of Dxun in search of some way off the planet.

Why had Bir come to Dxun? What had called him this time? Was it the whispers of the dark side or the misleading thoughts of the clinically insane? Likely the latter. It took a broken mind to believe that a trip to the moon of Onderon was ever a good idea and Bir had been lacking on good judgement since his release. Never the less, here he was, sat high in a tree as he observed the sun setting across the tops of the jungle.

Finally, as the remnant of the star descended beyond the horizon, the Kel Dor decided it was time for rest. He still didn’t know why he felt the urge to come here but was certain he would discover it by morning.

Rustling of leaves below, however, kept him awake. Glancing over his shoulder as he rested on the high branch, a dark and cloaked figure came into view. Seemingly wounded, the man wandered down the path way as though he were lost yet remained oddly at ease. Furrowing his brow, Bir pushed himself forward and watched as the man continued on. Curiosity had, once again, spurred on the Kel Dor and he was soon on the move, following the man from the branches above.

Slowly but with intent, Bir allowed himself to land of branches closer and closer to the surface though being careful to remain unseen. That is, until he managed to jump a few meters ahead of the man and hang upside down from one of the tree limbs, dropping his face directly ahead of the suspicious character.

”Well hello!” he declared loudly. ”Not exactly the place you should be wandering around after dark, my friend!”

Wandering through the jungle of Dxun Lorn felt the pain of his wound subside as more time had passed. Scanning the surrounding area for wildlife or perhaps another squad of mercenaries the Khill was constantly vigilant though he gave off an appearance of calmness. Perhaps even more vigilant than usual given his hurt pride over the fact that he failed to sense the imminent danger just an hour or so before during the failed assassination attempt. He was yet to detect any hostile wildlife in the area but he did sense something else, something far more interesting. A being of some sort seemed to have been following him briefly through the tree branches.

Deciding to let the being in question show it's intentions Lorn did his best to maintain his seeming obliviousness. The other thing he felt about this being was the taint of the Force within him, even more so - the Dark Side, though he wasn't sure in what capacity the stranger was able to wield the power. Lorn on the other hand kept his presence in the Force completely hidden. A talent he has developed over the years, starting from his teenage youth and a necessary one for his life of secrecy. Honed to such a degree that he neither had to exert any sort of mental energy to maintain the state, rather it came naturally, nor would any Forceful beings even Jedi or Sith in training detect him, unless he was to call upon his Dark talents. To others Lorn seemed as nothing special when gazed upon through the Force.

A sudden movement, a leap of some sort obviously gave off the position of the once hidden stranger. And within seconds from the jump the being appeared in front of Lorn's face, hanging upside down from the tree no less... A male Kel Dor it seemed. Trying to maintain his air of unawareness the Khill stepped back an inch, feigning being stratled. ''Not exactly the kind of thing I expected to be doing tonight either stranger, believe me.'' He spoke in basic, his voice a deep reassuring bass and he spoke in a regal, scholarly manner. ''And what of you... Is this your home or did something else bring you to this wretched moon ?'' Lorn tried to maintain a casual, almost friendly atmosphere, still uncertain of the Kel Dor's intentions. Was he some sort of scavenger ? A killer ? Everything that he was able to assess from the alien on the first glance was rather strange to say the least.

The muscles of Bir’s face contorted to reveal that he wore a beaming grin from ‘ear’ to ‘ear’ behind his rebreather mask as he dangled before the Khill man. It didn’t matter where Bir went, what he did. He was always making new friends, it seemed.

”My home?! Yes! And no! Yes and no, yes and no, yes and no!” he rattled off quickly. ”The galaxy is my home, my upside down friend! From the darkest corners of wild space to the bustling sky lanes of the core worlds, I occupy it all!” he boasted with pride, his arms now dangling below his head in a wide posture. Slowly, he began to rock his body back and forth, bringing his face dangerously close to the new arrival then back again. As he reached the apex of his swing away from Lorn, the Kel Dor allowed his legs to release their hold of the tree branch. Flipping through the air, he came to a stop on the ground in a perfectly upright position.

”Ta-dah! Now you’re right-side-up!” he exclaimed, his smile never once fading though possibly hard to identify in the rapidly darkening jungle. The Kel Dor then took a couple steps towards the Khill and identified the wound on his left arm as he lowered his head to the same level of the blaster burn. Standing straight again, he held up his own robotic right arm.

”Infection! You must worry about infection, lest you find yourself with one of these!” he shouted again, wiggling the metallic fingers for Lorn to see. ”Fire! Fire can clean your wound, my aquatic ally! Give me your arm and watch the magic of Bir Vuul!” holding his organic left hand out for Lorn to place his own in his grasp, should he comply, he then moved his right, wrapping his fingers around the lightsaber hilt and igniting the crimson blade. While many Sith were more cautious of revealing their trademark weapon to a stranger, Bir lacked that degree of concern. He was still a helpful young man beneath the madness and he was sincere in his offer of aide. All that held him from applying that aide was whether or not Lorn would believe he meant well… Or if he meant to take his arm.
