Having no luck on Alderaan, though having met and sparred with a man he knew he was going to meet again, Kouta took his leave for Ossus. Saying his goodbye's he stepped on the freighter, leaving Alderaan... for now.

The trip was less then extravigant, few stops but nothing of importance. All on Kouta's mind was what he learned from Jerek, he was trained by a master of superb wisdom on Ossus, perhaps Kouta could find the same person, or any master for that matter. This planet was his best bet. As he did before, he stepped off of the loading ramp as soon as he could, embracing his surroundings. While this seemed tedious to many, moving to an entire other planet, just to have a hope in joining a group in which he trained most of his life for.

Moving away from the spaceport, the grand temple he was told about was in sight, fortunately it was not too far. Wearing his long cloak around himself, Kouta's weapons we're hidden, as usual. Making his way towards the temple, Kouta found himself alone the majority of the trip, however, about halfway he found himself having a feeling he couldn't explain. He received it a lot on Nar shadaa, but this one was different, it wasn't the cold hatred that he was accostomed to feeling. It was warm, welcoming. As he approached the temple, the feeling grew, though he still couldn't place exactly from where. Upon reaching the temple, he walked into the large building, making his way to the meeting hall where he would, hopefully, find himself a master.

Much to his dispair, he had no luck on Ossus either...
However, he heard a tip that there was a monastery on tython, the homeworld of the jedi. As hope warmed his heart once more, he took his leave from Ossus. Down to his last 1,000 credits, he made it to this serene planet. Stepping off of the transport for, hopefully, the last time, Kouta quickly made his way to the monastery.

Reaching the doors, as he's done twice before, hhe stepped inside silently, moving to the main hall, to hopefully join the order, and find a master.

OOC: i decided i liked my post on ossus too much to just throw it away lol

i've expanded it slightly to incorporate it. And technically i've been accepted to the jedi by rev, just not in character, to avoid confusion.

The Jedi Monastery of Tython. The original birthplace of the Jedi. Haven liked the place, rather more than Corouscant where she had been trained in fact. Having been assigned to Tython, she knew that the planet with it's luscious forests would fit well her current state of mind far better than any other place. So, here she was, sitting on a bench, watching the everyday go-go of the Jedi that dwelled here. Haven had decided not to take a padawan for the current time-being, instead, she wished to understand the planet better first before she had any decisions.

She looked around, and spotted something slightly out of place. The teenager she had her eyes on was undoubtedly sensitive in the force, yet he looked as though as if he didn't quite know where he was. A new padawan perhaps... She thought to herself. Might as well be useful to the monastery then!

Haven stood up, and walked towards the boy with her signature 'floating' walk. He was of fairly average height, and looked as though as if he kept himself in very good shape. She nodded her head at him, and spoke in a gentle tone. "Hello there, you look slightly lost... Is there anyway I could help you?".

She brushed her white hair away from her face, and waited for his response.

Kouta didn't as much see her as he did feel her. "You... you're a jedi.. are you not? Stronger then the one i met on Alderaan... You don't happen to be a knight are you?" he asked curiously.

Out of respect, Kouta lowered his hood, the spreading of his arms opened his cloak, showing the disabled saber. "I've traveled to two other jedi settlements in an attempt to officially join the order, and to continue the training that..." Kouta paused, "That my old master gave me" he finished, "Please, i've been through much, i only wish to become apart of the people that saved me." Kouta's words we're filled with respect, with some hints of despair. This was truly his last chance to join. if it didn't work out in tython, he doesn't know what he would do.

((Sorry, is Kouta 22 or 17))

Havens' eyes widened with surprise. She hadn't expected to be greeted to morning in this fashion... "Yes I am a Knight, but..." Haven said quickly, and bit her lips as she delved into deep thought. She had seen the lightsaber clipped to the belt of the person in front of her, and he had expressed his wishes to become a Jedi. His words had been earnest, and Haven could sense the deep emotions that lay within those few words.

She had only regained her position as a knight, and to be honest she wasn't exactly sure if it was the right decision yet. Haven struggled briefly, but in the end decided to help the person before her. After all, Tython was her new home and she was obliged to. Besides, the person definitely looked like he needed help. "It's not really for me to decide, but I will help you and be at you're side as we talk to the Councillors here." She replied.

"Before we go and meet with them, my name is Haven, Haven Magnus". Showing a small smile as she held her cybernetic left hand out.

OOC: omg i'm sorry, i didn't realize that i changed it throughout the post lol i'm keeping him at 22

Kouta smiled warmly at her introduction and her agreeing to aid him, Finally, his trip was over, or truly just beginning. Who would have known that he would find aid in the very heart of the jedi. Taking note of her reaction to the hilt strapped on his hip, he spoke to her, "It's disabled, and belonged to my old master. "He claimed, "I came across it in the ruins of where we resided after being ambushed by two dark jedi." he finished explaining.

As she reached out her robotic hand, He grasped it in his own, not phased by it in the slightest, "Kouta Hiroke," he replied, introducing himself. His own hand, his entire body really was scarred, everybody has a past, some less then enjoyable then others, he knows that better then anyone.

((It's fine. Btw, do I have permission to do training godmodding? I.e, take both of our characters to the council building, or, when we are sparring I perform a successful move on you. It just makes it much simpler to RP, otherwise going somewhere would take twice as long :/))

Haven nodded. "Very well, then follow me and I shall take you to the council masters" She stated curtly, not entirely warmed up to the young man yet. There's still too much about him that I don't know... She thought. After making that sure that Kouta was walking by her side, she began walking through the halls of the Jedi monastery.

Haven maintained polite chatter, but refrained from excessive talking. She was not being rude, but she didn't want to raise false hope from the young man in case the council didn't agree to allow his training. Eventually, they reached the doors to the council chambers, where she stopped.

"They are aware of our presence, just walk in and say you're story. Don't leave details out, and do not worry, I will be right by at your side." She smiled gently, encouraging him. Haven reached out and pressed a button, and the metals doors opened with an audible swish.

OOC: yea that's fine, sorry for being gone for so long, many things came up, if your still interested, i'd still like to do this.

IC:
A spark of hope lit in Kouta's stomach, though he was smart enough to let that hope take over, there was still a chance that he will not be trained. Kouta tried to get to know Haven a little more, though she was distant, probably for the best, he paid no mind to it.

Upon stepping into the council chamber he felt the presence of each of them, their power, immense, yet, so calm, controlled, like a storm perfectly contained, only released when needed. In short, Kouta was humbled. "You may be wondering about me, i am but a simple man who has traveled a great journey in hopes to continue my training that was left off in Nar Shadaa so long ago." His words, still filled with the same honesty as when he spoke to Haven.

Kouta told his tale once again, of his upbringing, his enslavement and eventual freedom, how a jedi came across him, and for reasons unknown to Kouta, trained him, showing his lightsaber as he did. Kouta spoke, weaving the pictures of the ambush on him and his master. his story came to a close as he told of his travels since then, to each Jedi settlement he could find, and finally his arrival on tython.

During the ordeal, Haven stood beside kouta, ready to speak for him if need be. Though they had just met, Haven hated the thought of denying capable people from a possible future, and kouta, in her mind, certainly had a future with the Jedi. She stood silently beside him for support, though she stayed silent. After all, he had not asked her to say anything, and he was hardly a child who needed his hands being held. The two of them waited while the Jedi on the Council discussed the matter until finally a decision seemed to have been made.

"Hiroke kouta, the Council has decided that you are to be accepted into the Order. Nevertheless, you must work even harder to prevent your later induction into the Order to become... a problem. We have also decided that knight Magnus is to take you as her Padawan. She will ease the troubles of transition into Jedi life, and we hope that you two will work well together."

Having heard their Verdict, Haven now held a large grin on her face. Bidding their leave from Council chambers, she turned to face him as the shutter doors closed behind them. "Well, then, i guess this calls for a second introduction!" Haven laughed, and jokingly added. "Pleased to meet you, my new Padawan!" She intended to start the training sooHaven believed there was no other welcome or process that made one more familiar with the Jedi than becoming more knowledgeable in the force itself.

A feeling of anxiety held over Kouta as he waited for the council's verdict. Only for it to be erased by a wave of relief when he was told, that not only will he be accepted into the Jedi Order, but that his master was one that he knew, and seemed he would get along well with. "Thank you." he said with a slight bow of respect.
Turning towards haven he noticed her grin. It was larger then his own, "I never thought i'd see someone happier about this then i am," he teased. "So where do we begin...Master?" that word tasted of vinegar in Kouta's mouth. The last time he was to refer to somebody as 'master', was under very different circumstances. However, this master was of a different nature, and Kouta was able to live with that.

Having heard the slight hesitation in Kouta's words, Haven smiled warmly. She was not one for titles, especially when the young man in front of her didn't seem to hold many positive thoughts towards the word. "Don't worry, I don't like formalities anyway. If it is more comfortable for you, most people call me by my name anyway!" She laughed. Though many of Havens' beliefs were Orthodox in comparison to some others, there were many aspects of Jedi traditions that she felt was unnecessary. The robes for one, the titles second. Manners were one thing, but the urge for many Jedi to spew out the word 'master' every few sentences was amusing.

"Why don't we get started straightaway, I'm sure you must have been bored out of your mind, going from planet to planet in such fashion!" She said, gesturing to Kouta that he should follow her as she led him through the hallway of the Monastery. Haven led her to one of the many training rooms, this one being onccupied. The automatic doors opened with a swoosh, and Haven smiled to let Kouta know that he should enter.

Kouta was relieved that he didn't have to refer to Haven as master, and considered himself lucky to have a teacher that wasn't anal about the many traditions the jedi held. "Oh thank god" he exclaimed, "That phrase and I... very strained relationship." he said simply.

Kouta laughed slightly, at her remark, "I'm quite patient, as you will find out, but i saw this journey as worthwile, i mean, look at where i am now?" he said, looking around the halls. Never before has he laid eyes on such structures. Even the vast and expansive buildings on corusant did not compare to this monastery in his eyes. "Why thank you" he joked stepping into the training room. "And yes, it would be best to start right away wouldn't it." He spoke while removing his cloak, then his shirt, Revealing the many scars that laid hidden previously. While normally training without them, usually wearing nothing but undergarments, Kouta left his pants on, for Haven's sake.

He turned towards her after setting down his belongings, "So... Where do we begin?" he asked, a hint of excitement in his words.

((Gonna assume that Haven can recognise kouta as being echani even if he doesn't have the common characteristics :p))

As Haven followed kouta into the room, she raised her eyebrows slightly at him stripping off, leaving his torso bare. She narrowed her eyes, having seen the scars that were sprewn about his body. No doubt, there was definitely a story behind them, but Haven would wait until they had made some progress into the training before she asked about them. An Echani? Haven thought to herself. But those scars... They were not injuries from sparring or fighting, they were of vicious one-sided beatings. Nevermind that, kouta was definitely eager to begin, so why not start off with something he as an Echani would most likely enjoy.

"Something you should feel comfortable with!" She replied, pulling two training sabers from a nearby rack towards her. Catching them promptly, she passed them to kouta, giving him the chance to feel the handle's weight before they began. "They will be quite different to vibro-blades, so make sure you are familiar with them." She advised, producing another training saber. Seeing as they were just starting, Haven would not use her normal double-bladed lightsaber, though she would start to sparr kouta with her preferred weapon as well once he had become more familiar with the concept of lightsabers.

"Show me what you've got!" Haven laughed, snapping the training saber open with a sharp hiss. The blue blade emerged, powerful enough to sting but otherwise harmless. Not the norm, starting off a training with a sparr, but Haven hoped that Kouta would enjoy her training methods, practical, and to the point.

Kouta Noticed her examining his scars, "See anything you like?" he joked smiling slightly, "And if you are wondering, each does have a story, though that is for another time."

Kouta gripped each training saber in his hands, turning them on. The blades we're weightless, something he figured, however it did take some getting use to. "So you pass me the means for me to fight at my all, and handicap yourself?" he asked, noticing that the way she held the single blade was... unnatural. It was apparent to him that she was more at home with a different style. While it may ave seemed like an easy read for Kouta, seeing differences like that would be very difficult for one who has not experienced a good deal of battle.

Kouta swung the blades around creating the trademark "whoosh" noises, trying to get a feel for the weight. "Ok..." Kouta held the blades in the air, Making a cross-like pattern, his own blades pressed tightly together, creating light sparks and a small crackling noise. "Come then.." he spoke, a grin on his face.
Already it appeared as if Kouta left huge openings in his torso.

"Many Echani prefer the dual wield combat form, seems like my guess was right." Haven replied, still smiling. She dropped into a high guard, keeping the lightsaber at minimum distance away from her body. Haven was a practicioner of Form three, the most defensive of the forms. However, seeing as it did not seem like Kouta was going to be launching an attack first, she would make the first move.

With two small jumping steps, Haven immediately closed the distance between the two. Without holding back, she immediately launched a diagonal slash, targeting Kouta's left shoulder to his midsection. Without pausing, she immediately dealt a sweeping horizontal slash. Haven wanted to force him to use both the blades, to see how competent at blade combat he currently was.

She was going to be especially demanding in regards to saber combat, the Jedi needed skilled swordsmen, and as an Echani, Kouta would have no excuses.

Haven moved with grace, her feet very light, almost like his own people do. The moment she moved, Kouta observed her, then jumped back, Dodging the first attack, and hopping bak one more time, to dodge the second. As she swung her blade Kouta jumped back within range. Kouta's attack was strange. As he swung down one of his blades, the other held it back. THis required more force to move the blade, however when his attacking saber broke free of it's bind, the speed and force of the attack was multiplied.

Kouta may not know how to use the force at the moment, but he does know how to use physics and the mechanics of the world to even the field.

OOC: hopefully that was clear enough. lol
basically he swung harder and faster then he normally would.

Haven chuckled. This padawan would prove interesting indeed. Once he was trained in the force properly, Haven was certain that he would eventually be a more skilled swordsman. But for now, the lack of familiarity with the lightsaber itself would prove to be the first hurdle for Kouta to jump over. Haven took a step back, having anticipated where Kouta's strike was headed. She swung the lightsaber in a sweep, seemingly intent on matching blade for blade. Haven smiled. There were some key differences between a lightsaber and a solid sword. Kouta would learn this first lesson immediately. Just before the contact between the blades, Haven switched off the lightsaber while taking a large step forward, bringing herself to close proximity with Kouta whilie possibly causing him to lose his balance through having dealt an empty swing.

With her lightsaber, she made a two handed thrust, intending to dislodge the other lightsaber Kouta held while driving him back at the same time. Successful or not, she would return to the defense, having decided that she wouldn't press the attack.

Haven seemed to be pleased at his attack, her movements becoming faster. Her thoughts were correct. The lightsaber was a completely new weapon for him, and he was fighting someone of higher skill then he, so he was handicapped. However, there we're a few key circumstances that gave Kouta a shot of holding his own, maybe a sliver chance of winning this bout. For one, Kouta was a fast learner, with each stroke of his blade, and with eah deflection of hers, Kouta's familiarity with his newfound swords grew. Haven was also using a style out of her comfort range, made apparent early on. And last, Kouta founght one that used the same Lightsaber style as Haven, and the same tricks.

"Thank you, Jerek" The thought ran through his head.

As she turned off her saber, Kouta Did the same with his, allowing him more maneuverability, He then span around her thrusting attack, lightly punching her wrist to divert it further. His spin came to a close as Kouta Was behind Haven, Finishing it by turning one one lightsaber, Swinging it towards her back.

Whether successful for not he would retract as well, incase of a counter attack, holding his guard up. "I should have mentioned, In my travels, i sparred with another jedi. Though he was a padawan, he used the same style, and turned off and on his lightsaber many times to give himself a distinct advantage." Kouta's eyes locked on hers, "I won't fall for the same tricks twice" he claimed, a grin growing on his face. Kouta was enjoying himself, The battlefield was the only true place where he could communicate with another. Even against another Jedi, who were supposed to maintain a calm and an inner peace, Kouta could feel their passion with every strike. Kouta's stance sliding back so he stood lower to the ground. The lightsaber in his left hand was held in an inverted grip, and the one in his right held normally. "Come now, I don't believe this is over quite yet."

((LOL you dueled with pokakaa?))

Oh? Haven thought to herself, surprised. He had previously dueled a Padawan who practised Soresu? This was pleasing, the fact that Kouta had recognised the similarity between the forms was a sign certainly. But, recognising that fact did not mean understanding one's capabilities. As Kouta would understand, Saber combat involved far more than simply the lightsaber. The moment that Kouta had spun around her, Haven drove her right leg back, delivering a powerful kick targeted towards Kouta's striking lightsaber hilt. Pin-pointed by her senses, Haven hoped to dislodge the lightsaber from his grasp.

Following the kick, Haven propelled herself over Kouta with a force-aided backflip, taking care to cover her temporary vulnerability while air-borne with a sweeping slash. Once over Kouta's body, she leaned in close to his back, pushing forward with her left hand, hoping to topple his defensive stance over. Haven wouldn't apply the force in a manifestation until Kouta himself had been taught how to apply it himself. Once her manouevere was completed, Haven propelled herself backwards with a jump, her lightsaber in front of her at all times.

"Would certainly hope not!" Haven laughed devlishly. Who said training couldn't be fun?

OOC: Aye, it was a short one though.

IC:

Kouta's hand impacted her foot, His lightsaber indeed coming dislodged from his grip. However, as he moved over him, He was span around, Grabbing her by the arm, right behind the elbow, with his newly freed hand.. He then stabbed towards her next, tracing up the arm to make it extremely hard to block without hitting herself. The stab diverted path, so it would not hit her neck, but rather be held less then an inch from it. THis grapple is risky, being open to attack from her saber, yet it would be risky for her to attack as well, the movement possibly causing Kouta's saber to strike. Kouta is worthless in a fight with only one blade, his entire style relies on equal balance, having only one blade throwing that off. If haven were to somehow break the grapple, Kouta would need to focus on getting his blade back, or ridding his other one all together.

Haven smirked. kouta had forgotten that her left arm was cybernetic. Rather than fighting the grip on the mechanical elbow, Haven folded her forearm back so that kouta's wrist would be forced into an extremly uncomfortable position if he continued to hold on. With her lightsaber hand, Haven stabbed at his lightsaber which was headed towards her neck, intercepting the attack before it reached it's intended location. With her lightsaber hand's elbow now pointed towards kouta, and at a close proximity, Haven took a large step forward, throwing her weight into the shoulder barge. it was possible that Kouta's hand, which was still holding onto her cybernetic hand, might be injured if Kouta's body was thrown back, but there was no point in sparring if realism was not enforced.

And anyway, the Jedi have the best medical assistance to offer in the galaxy...
