Fortress Vader

It wasn't too far removed when the Sith Order reclaimed Fortress Vader for themselves, the inhabitants were neutralized although there were some... problems. But the Sith were able to go back in eventually and make the castle into their home.

After lowly acolytes have cleaned the place up, there would now be a gathering in the main halls of the grand castle. The dark side presence is strong and it flows through the fortress.

Today will be a celebration for their victory. This will be the first of many victories the Sith will have since the Sith-Imperial Split. There would be drinks and food provided, Sith can help themselves. Darth Tempest is rumored to be here today, and some of the acolytes are whispering to be careful in her presence, after all in the last gathering she killed someone in a painful and grusome manner who was foolish before her.

After being cast out from the Empire, the Sith now have a home to call their own, a safe place in a galaxy. Soon, from this fortress, the Sith will go to the next conquest, and the next after that.

The first of many indeed. But for now, celebration.

Cyutadakyr arrived in a simple black dress], adorned with a small clutch with some belongings. Nodding to the other guests as they arrived with a glass of wine in hand, several thoughts crossed her mind.

Retaking the fortress had been no grand battle, only the slaughter of some poor misguided fools. It almost felt wrong that there had been no worthy deaths to mark its acquisition, although, the night was still young.

The pureblood hoped to see a few familiar faces, among other things, to celebrate their little victory here but to also something more devious. The Sith had been riddled with weakness, a diseased growth rotting within the empire and now exorcised, they were free. But while the galaxy hunted down the worthless, those who remained would grow stronger.

And when they were strong enough to be worthy of her attention, Cyu would be ready to take everything from them.

Troubles at home had kept Katara occupied for much of the past year, but this recent invitation for a celebration lined up rather well with her own successes on Dathomir. It had taken some time, but those within her clan who hoped to rise against her had been dealt with, at least for now. Which meant that for the first time in months she felt comfortable to leave the confines of Dathomir and venture into the larger Galaxy. Besides, she was more than content with arriving after others had dealt with the annoying task of cleanup and pest control. She was sure she hadn't missed anything of value.

This invitation though did have some value to it. While she hadn't been cut off from news about the Order, there was much she could learn by her presence here. Who survived, who had prospered, who had failed. And most importantly, who was worth keeping her eye on. Sooner or later, she would need "allies". Sooner or later, she would make enemies. This gathering offered the perfect opportunity to find both.

Arriving fashionably late, adorned in red and gold, she picked up a flute of something bubbly from a passing server and began observing everyone in attendance. Not spotting Tempest (@Altaris), or any of her own contacts, she let her eyes wander further afield, till she spotted someone who wasn't a complete waste of time. Thankfully it did not take long to spot one such individual.

"Lady Cyutadakyr," she greeted the other Champion as she stepped up to her, "I don't believe we've had the pleasure of an introduction. I'm Katara." She knew the other woman's name, she wasn't a complete unknown after all. And even among the Sith, a pureblood was a rare sight. So rare that it made her stand out.

Vytkas had his attention drawn far away from the battle that had given the Sith a new place to call their own, his time spent aboard The Decree ensuring that any trace information that could weaken their position was promptly quashed. It was only now he had allowed himself a moment of respite from the ceaseless hunt to return to his true directive; ensuring loyalty among those who followed their path.

He entered the chamber, the multitude of faces unknown to him, but that was to change. Dressed in attire befitting of the occasion, he adjusted the clasp on his cape as descended into the room. He waved away the offer of libation, choosing instead to maintain a clear head. While he was used to the machinations of his peers, he had been far removed and would not be caught with his guard down - especially if the hushed rumours of Darth Tempest's arrival had any credence.

His eyes travelled the room as he observed the occupants. He had opted to come without his mask, to integrate himself among those present; there were few who spoke as openly as they would when he wore the sign of his station.

Despite some last minute setbacks, Mustafar had been a resounding success for the Sith. For the first time since Imperial Exile, the Order had reclaimed a base of operations to call their own - one where its members could regroup and coordinate. The Dark Nexus beneath Fortress Vader was palpable to all those who arrived on the planet, and contributed in great part to the Dark Lords decision to target Mustafar in particular.

There was much work ahead of them - but Tempest was looking forward to the gathering. It was a brief opportunity for their Order to celebrate, after suffering repeated losses and humiliations by others within the Galaxy.

It hadn’t been since Junction that so many Sith had gathered under one roof. Acolytes whispered through the corridors, offering the Dark Lord bows of their heads as she entered the Throne Room. While most had come to recognize Tempest for the armor that she almost exclusively wore these days, the half-Annfyn had opted for attire more befitting the occasion.

She was adorned in an ombré gown in shades of grey and crimson, trimmed and embroidered with intricate detail. Her fingers and fluted ears were adorned diamond adornments, while her back hair was tied up into a single braid - stretching down to the middle of her back.

Snagging a drink from a nearby protocol droid, Tempest made her way towards the center of the room - taking a moment to regard those who had already arrived. Amongst them, only Cyu had been present for taking the Fortess - and it earned the Pureblood the half-Annfyn’s respect and attention. “Champions,” She offered Cyu a nod, before gradually flicking her attention to Katara - one of the few Sith she didn’t recognize at a glance.

The Dark Lore didn’t fall to notice the other man make his entrance, briefly glancing in his direction before focusing back onto the Nightsister.

Several others had already arrived, dressed in elegant gowns with rich, dark tones. Fortress Vader itself was dark and foreboding, with geometric shapes and a minimalist, utilitarian design. Of course, the decorations the acolytes had done for the event helped to spruce it up with rugs, tapestries, and tables of all kinds, but the general theme was very Sith. Red. Gold. Blacks and greys.

Ambrosia arrived in anything but. She was never a fan of darker colors; she preferred pastels. Her dress, though it shared the elegant silhouette of the others' with a skirt that draped close to her body, was even whiter than her own skin. The top, a corset, provided structure, while the loose skirt started off opaque and gradually became sheer as it descended. The sleeves were long and loose with sparkling gems draping over her shoulders, matching similar ones wrapped tightly around her neck. Stepping into such a dark room, the Arkanian offshoot was immediately noticeable.

"My Lord." Ambrosia first approached Tempest, bowing at her waist as she had always done for the woman, paying her respects to the most important figure in the room. Pale violets quietly assessed the half-Annfyn's outfit as she straightened back up. It was the first time she'd seen the Dark Lord out of her armor, and she was pleasantly surprised by how wonderful the woman looked in her dress. "You look regal," she complimented of the other woman, her voice almost a hum. But knowing that everyone would be making their rounds to greet her, Ambrosia stepped away for now as to not crowd the woman.

"Hello again." Cyutadakyr would be the second woman on her list to greet. She was particularly fond of the Sith pureblood, in more ways than one. The two, again, made an odd pair to look at with such distinctly different appearances. "The fortress looks a lot different with decorations, doesn't it?" The two of them had succumbed to the heat previously during their attack on the fortress. Looking around, other than Tempest, it looked like the two of them were the only ones present from that escapade.

Trell had just arrived at the fortress wearing his usual attire. All black robes. Trell went a grabbed a drink. It tasted good. "It has been quite a while since I drank a good shot of wine." He said to himself. Trell walked over to Darth Tempest kneeling. "Mi'lady. What a pleasure to see you here." Trell would say to the Dark Lord. Trell always wanted to become the dark lord. He wanted to avenge his mother and his fellow Sith kin that died during the splitting of the imperial from the Sith. Trell was trained by someone in the dark council during only his teenage years.

The volcanic backdrop of the fortress was quite the fitting metaphor for the position of the precarious Sith Order these days. An old and proud organization lingering on the edge of a fiery precipice. It was just as interesting to see who would finally turn up to the event as to who didn't, something that would surely be noted.

At first, Cyutadakyr caught a glimpse of her favorite little pastel, only to be severely disappointed by the appearance of a strange face that held a particular look. A swelling of pride pooled up as this face introduced herself, the pureblood's name and reputation has clearly proceeded her. Although one couldn't say the same for the other. "Apparently so, Lady Katara. Tell me, what brings a sister so very far from home?" Cyu watched with an implied smile, but they would chit-chat for the time being. @Wit

Next, a well-dressed gentleman caught her eye, but so far he didn't seem too interested in her and therefore she decided to reciprocate the feeling. @Pendleton

The centerpiece of the room was, of course, the arrival of the Dark Lord herself, her gown naturally drawing attention. With a returning nod, the brief memory of their earlier mission to retake the fortress took her mind. It wasn't been a particularly difficult mission as its previous occupants quickly found out, although there had been some mishaps. Sometime soon they would likely speak, but for now, Cyu's attention was drawn elsewhere. @Altaris

With Ambrosia in view, the pureblood stepped up towards her, just slightly towering as always. "There you are, I was wondering if you were going to leave me alone with this lot." A light chuckle escaped her lips as the offshoot spoke. "Indeed it does." Cyu lifted her hands around the vast hall, "although I do miss the vibe that the screaming Mustafarians brought to the place." @lizziie

The pureblood noticed another new face arrive and make his way toward the Dark Lord. Although in this case, she was more interested in seeing how the Lord presented herself in these more social settings given their own interactions had been a bit more strict owing to the practical needs of their mission. @JZasl

Turning back to Ambrosia, with a little sisterly tone asked, "What have you been doing since Korriban?" @lizziie

Brenna Ylva had arrived quite early to the social gathering in the new Sith palace. That was entirely intentional, as was her relatively plain dress. It was black and very well made of the best materials and it showed off her long legs with a slit down one side, but was otherwise unremarkable. The newly minted Sacarii Inquisitor intended to use the celebration of the Sith's success to spy on her own people.

Brenna did not know many of her compatriots very well, if at all. Before becoming involved with the Inquisitorious, she had felt no need to socialize outside of active missions. She generally had no use for others, being so independently minded she preferred a solitary life. Now her position in the Order required her to change. Though she was not entirely comfortable in such a setting, she was determined to overcome her own ill feelings and learn to collect intel efficiently.

As the gathering grew, so did the volume in the room. Brenna Ylva held a glass in her hand and occasionally lifted it to her lips, but she didn't actually drink any of it. She wanted to keep her full wits about her. The young Sith faded in and out of groups of chatting people, smiling and laughing when appropriate and making small comments here and there. Gradually she made her way around the massive room, learning this or that about so many individuals as she went.

Her eyes were constantly scanning the room, taking in information about the gathering as a whole while she listened to the group she was currently standing with chatting away. Brenna was among the first to notice when their Dark Lord, Darth Tempest, entered the room. Blue-Gray eyes moved with the dark skinned woman as she made her way through the crowd and made note of each Sith as they approached their leader to pay respects. Brenna knew she would have to do the same at some point, but she would wait til the end to take her turn.

"Oh, I'm sure you would've found some way to entertain yourself," the Arkanian offshoot hummed in response, tilting her head to follow Cyu's gaze as she gestured to all the grand hall. She chuckled at the Pureblood's sentiments, finding the crimson-skinned woman's macabre interests to be charming.

Ambrosia, personally, found the hum of formal chatter in the hall to be more appealing than the panicked screams of unfortunate creatures. There was no violence here, but there was still tension in the air. There was not a Sith in the room who wasn't keenly away of the Dark Lord's presence, nor was there a Sith here who wasn't posturing in one way or another. Even her own nonchalant way of moving about and speaking was such. The room was filled with agendas, schemers, and those wishing to full the power vacuum with their own names. None of them were free from that sin, and Ambrosia could feel it shiver down her spine.

"Just a bit of travel since," she answered honestly as she held out her hand for Cyu to take if she so wished. It was a wordless invitation to dance, and the woman's positioning of her body toward the dancefloor said it all. "Keeping an ear out for opportunities, and such."

The music was perhaps more fitting for a gloomy castle on a stormy hill, but the haunting melodies that swam through the congregation of Sith in the sleek, modern fortress created the sort of visual-audio dissonance that only served to empower the song. Should Cyu take her hand, Ambrosia would lead her a few steps away before beginning to dance to the music.

The pale-skinned woman danced just as anyone might've expected - gracefully and intentionally like a little ballerina spinning atop a music box. She was quick to adapt to however her partner danced, acting like the ebb and flow of the ocean to the changing phases of the moon.

"And you?" she asked, returning the question to the woman as they danced.

A gathering established in the Fortress Vader- an opportunity worth investing time in to be sure. Morgon arrived in his usual attire- that being a set of black robes with an intrinsic red design. Most notably, however, was the durasteel helmet that sat comfortably upon his head. Morgon had already spent some time on Mustafar and was thrilled to hear that the fortress had been taken back.

Those damned Imperials set their own empire back years of work. They lost most of the southern reaches and were nothing more than what the New Republic had been before their fallout. Altair Din was enemy number one on Morgon's list. As well as anyone who sided with the Demon of Korriban- another planet they desecrated. What made the Empire so different from the Sith? Giving up the Dark Side was not something you could simply do in a moment. How many of them still clung to the Darkness that they once held so confidently?

"Tutsimia Qitatû, kam zo dhasias narazri. Ra kitaza oi niati wisa timias chita..." Morgon spoke in his strange deep guttural-sounding baritone. "The Empire will rue the day they left us to rot." Morgon snarled through gnashed teeth, followed by an eerie laugh. After making his entrance, he spotted a woman who was very much spotting others who attended this celebration. The Anzat made his way to the woman, his devilish smile revealing his sharpened teeth.

"You look more worried than proud- The fortress has already been secured. I assure you, you are safe." He chided darkly. "Your beauty matches that of the dwelling. Might I know your name? I am Morgon, at your service..." The Nightbrother bowed before the woman, hoping to ease whatever tension she was feeling. There were no enemies here unless you were here to make enemies.

"Curiosity," she replied bluntly to the pureblood's question about her reasons for being there, before taking a sip of her drink. "Hmm, and these. Your wines. We do not have such luxuries where I come from."

As more people arrived, some how seemed to know the Sith pureblood more intimately, Katara let them mingle, till they were approached by a new arrival, the Dark Lord herself. As she greeted them, Katara bowed as she would to Clan Mother, her position warranted that respect. Or at the very least a degree of caution, she was well aware that the much shorter woman could easily destroy her if she so willed.

"Darth Tempest," she said as she straightened, "I am Katara, of the Witchblood clan." Gesturing for a nearby server, she handed off her drink as she raised the right to her side as her fingers made a gesture. Green energy gathered there at her bidding, and a dagger, its simple leather sheath intricately carved with runes, appeared out of thin air, falling into her waiting hand.

She held it forward to Tempest, held in her open hands. "A gift for your ascension, with an apology for my tardiness in presenting it to you."

If Tempest were to accept and unseath the gift the blade within would bear similar runes carved along its length, the blade's edge betraying just the faintest hint of green.

It was now that the sith historian Cremek candorus had arrived, slightly delayed due to him having to travel from nal hutta to here, how could he resist such a piece of history? The fortress of the strongest sith lord ever known? Cremek was never one to dress up, but today he had worn his robes with the gold mandalorian runes on the outlines, after all, this was quite the special occasion! He fiddled with the holocron he had retrieved from nal hutta, While it had little monetary value, the amount of historical value in it, written from one of the first sith eternals own guardians, "the praetorian guard." was immense, A small, but no less important gift if one was intelligent enough to understand its significance, as this was a piece of the sith orders history, what better a gift to go along with fortress vader?

Though it was awkward for him, he had not seen such a large amount of his fellow sith for some time.. With all these new faces, it was odd to him. He had chosen to keep his mandalorian mask on with his hood, wearing his breastplate over his more... finer attire, if that was such a word for the practical minded sith. He simply waits in the background, awaiting to present an opportunity to present a gift to the dark lord of the sith..

Cyutadakyr stood momentarily as Ambrosia offered to dance, silently contemplating before accepting the doll's hand.

Lifting her own hand above the ballerina, guiding her through a spin before pulling her pale-skinned partner into a tight embrace. "Hmm is that all? Disappointing." The pureblood whispered, although clearly not done yet. Cyu moved with the music, pulling Ambrosia along effortlessly in a new dance.

For her part, her pale-skinned partner kept up well, the fires of passion swelling as they edged across the floor. Her earlier comment elicited a pointed question from the champion in return. "Why are you waiting for something to appear, we are Sith. We take what we want, no?." Her tone was a familiar edge, stirring her emotions intentionally.

As their little number ended, Cyutadakyr smiled at last. "Oh, the things that I have seen and done my dear. Remember what I told you about alchemy? I saw firsthand the work of giants, wondrous beasts, and the most powerful relics you could perceive."

People were.. dancing?... What? He had always been told finding time for such simple pleasures were foolish, not that he cared to listen, he was pleasantly surprised by the... Jolly...Was that a word for the sith.. good cheer?.. Cremek had only come to spectate, to take a small break from his hunt for his orders history and enjoy a rancor fury or two mayhaps share the knowledge he had found and fought for with others of his intellectual level, so far, he had yet to see a single fellow scholar of such caliber around.

Cremeks eyes looked about from under his mandalorian mask, so long as his order was in a healthy state of the strong consuming the weak, he was happy. He didn't care for plots, or backstabbing, if he wanted a fellow sith dead, he would simply ignite his saber, sounding the signature howl of his krayt dragon pearl focused saber, and challenge them, head on, a man of action, all these schemers slightly infuriated cremek, and so he kept his distance from the party, sipping a rancor fury, he didn't care much for socializing, then again, he was poor at it..

It had been months since so many Sith dared to gather into a single place, alone for one of their renown parties. For years as an Acolyte and Champion, Tempest had eagerly looked forward to every such opportunity. Some of her fondest memories with AcoSquad - back even Altair, Ashla and Cairo and herself were all together - had come from those parties - long before fate pitted them against one another.

It was a thought that brought the hints of a smile to her lips, bittersweet as it was. And it was one that Tempest forced herself to quash down as quickly as it had surfaced.

Instead, Tempest fixed her gaze onto Katara - offering the Clan Mother her full attention. She couldn’t mask her internal curiosity to see the Nightsister off of Dathomir, especially after the planet had declared its independence and non-involvement with any party. It had been months since she’d last spoken with Arla, yet another thought that tugged bitterly at her mind.

“A sister of Dathomir will always be welcome on Mustafar,” Tempest said after a moment, tipping her glass towards Katara. Of course, it was gift presented that promptly drew her attention - ambers running across the enchanted blade. She could practically feel the Magick that had been woven into the metal, anchored by the runes of power carved into the surface. It was one-of-kind, feeding her natural curiosity at once.

The Dark Lord pulled the blade from its sheath,, observing it for a long moment before lookinv back to Katara. “You honor me, Katara of the Witchblood.” With a hiss of metal, Tempest returned the blade to its leather - handing the weapon off to a nearby attendant.

“Perhaps you would do so further,” She extended a hand to the Nightsister, gesturing out towards the dancefloor.

—

Elsewhere in the castle, Cremek wouldn’t be left alone for very long in his brooding. Seemingly out of nowhere, a hooded Acolyte approached the Sith Champion - extending a tray filled to the brim with small, neatly wrapped burritos. “Might I offer you one of these delectable mini burritos to enjoy with your studies, My Lord?” Where the Acolyte had come from, how they reached Mustafar or why the burritos had followed the Sith through the split - all without answer.

While cremek was of brooding nature, in his heart, he was mandalorian, to refuse a meal was rude, and considered one of the more.. disrespectful things a guest could do. But his first question was "What in the hell was a burrito?..." The sith scholar thought to himself before nodding, politely accepting this strange food item.

"that would be wonderful, I will save it for later." whatever this was, he might as well give it a try, though he was slightly off put by its looks, why was it folded so.. strangely?... He would have to dissect it later and see what was inside this weird peice of bread, folded several times over.

Ervius vaguely remembered the takeover of Fortress Vader: some Sith Lord bragged about at some point. The smell of ash and a wave of heat washed over him as soon as he left his shuttle. Sith did choose the best places for their headquarters: Dromund Kaas was a swamp with constant storms, Korriban was a desert, and Mustafar was — Mustafar. He could not deny the visual appeal. The black and red scenery fit the order well.

“My lady,” he greeted Darth Tempest. “You honor me with your invitation. Apologies for my tardiness: I‘m afraid my previous soirées included only ghosts and tombs.”

Afree exchanging pleasantries with the dark lord, Ervius entered the main hall and, after taking a glass of wine from the nearby protocol droid, went to explore.

Seeing as Morgon's conversation was becoming very one sided, the Champion left the woman to watch the crowd by herself. Instead, Morgon found himself watching a Sith Pureblood dance with an Arkanian Offshoot- such contrasting complexions and backgrounds no doubt, and yet here they both were. The Sith Order was vibrant with all manner of creatures- but the Dark Side was what they all had in common.

"Good evening," The Anzat decided to introduce himself to the pair, smiling crudely. "I am Morgon Dul'Goroth, at your service..." He bowed before the pair before examining them both from behind his helmet. The Offshoot was the most beautiful thing Morgon had ever laid eyes upon, but these feelings were suppressed. The only emotion the other two would feel is curiosity held for one a little more than the other.

"I could not help but overhear you speak of sorcery," Gently, the Nightbrother began swirling his drink in his clawed hands. "What experiences do either of you have with the Ichors of Dathomir?" His frightening smile revealed his sharpened teeth. Though he did share the same marvelous looks as most of the members of the Order, Morgon did smell far better than most. "Knowledge is a knife- In the hands of someone capable, one can rule an entire system without quarrel, yes?"

Cremek, having finally decided to join this party, his head turned at the word "sorcery". He made his way over, appearing out of the darkness, like he was prone to doing, in front of the trio like a ghost.

"I hope you don't mind me overhearing.. I heard the word sorcery?.."

cremek was impressed! He was almost overjoyed to hear that this ancient art was still at least known amongst the sith. He gives a small bow.

"Oh, but where are my manners, apologies, I tend to forget decorum when it comes to such intricacies such as sorcery.. Cremek candorus, sith champion, scholar, and one of the few here who I guess one could consider a Sith sorcerer, I see you lot are of intellectual caliber as well?"

Cremek managed to hide his annoyance that he had to speak with all these schemers behind a casual scholarly attitude, mayhaps there were some slightly intelligent people here who used their wits just as much as their sabers...

He hoped.
