Greetings, fellow SWRPers,

Today, the Chiss Ascendancy makes its mark in this timeline. In the past, we have done only a few events that have affected the timeline as a whole. There was the Chiss Expansion, in which we took some of the unclaimed worlds, such as Yashuvhu and Conscio. We also helped in the destruction of HOMEFRONT and captured 912 Imperial Knights (though Matra'caris'nuruodo released the prisoners later on without authorization). However, in the grand scheme of things, the Chiss Ascendancy has not done much yet. And that is about to change.

At this time, OOCly (a declaration ICly will be up soon and will be linked here) the Chiss Ascendancy are declaring war against the Galactic Alliance. This has been in the making for a while, mostly with Operation Zugzwang, but matters led to the first Operation Zugzwang to being postponed and time constraints have led to us decided to not execute the revised Operation Zugzwang. Instead, the Chiss shall be declaring war. Our reason ICly is that the GA is currently 'aggressively' warring against our two close allies: the Mandalorians and the New Sith Imperium. Both of our allies have urged for peace, as shown with Tyrn Lightell's revelation and Kiro Haas' meeting with the GA, which resulted in an unintended declaration of war from the GA against the Mandalorians. Later, a plot similar to Operation Aruetii will be used to further justify this war against the Galactic Alliance.

Our first target will be Endor. While Grand Imperator Arch'elie'lia may hold the title of "Witch of Endor", that is not the reason this planet was chosen (though I admit it is a nice bonus). Endor is the gateway into a hyperspace route, in which we can go after Trehwyth next, as to prevent the GA from having a nice launching point to attack our Southern Territory. This action also isolates Bakura, which can be targeted in the future. While we could have gone after Roxuli, which is close to Ascendancy territory, Endor is better in our Allied Powers front as it forces the Galactic Alliance to spread its forces even thinner, as it not only forces them to fight in the North, but also the Southwest (and, if Roon is used as a launching point, the Southeast as well). Divide and conquer, if you will.

In all honesty, we probably should have done this a while back. Originally Operation Zugzwang was to bring us into the war around the time Teth started. However, issues arose that led to us waiting. The reason I have decided to not restart this revised Operation Zugzwang is so that we can start this war sooner. It has come to my attention that some people are not happy with how slow it is taking to enter the war, so for the sake of the faction and the storyline, we shall start now. I take full responsibility for the time it has taken to bring us into this war and I sincerely apologize for the unnecessary wait I made you go through. I hope this war can start off well and that we can revitalize this faction by beating the Galactic Alliance at Endor. Go team!

On another note, we'll try to also get some other things done as well, though the war will be our main focus for the time being. We hope to get up the following in the next month, if possible:
  • New Mission
  • Board Remodeling
  • CAIN will be revamped to return to its dual focus on covert ops.
  • Roster and Ranks will be tweeked
  • Board Remodeling
  • Establishment of the Family System
  • Index
  • Random maintenance
  • Upcoming battles and skirmishes (other than Endor)
  • Beach volleyball with Twi'leks in bikinis (...hell yeah :CScool)

I know Black Noise was kind enough to post my newsletter earlier when I was ill, but I decided it would be best if we had it in the Chiss board too.
