note After recent in-character events in the roleplay, large portions of this write-up are outdated as a result. This write-up is under re-construction.

The organization is not part of the Empire, and still exists in the Sith Order. If you have any questions, ask @Altaris.

"The ISB handle the Empire, the Inquisitorius handle the Sith."

Master Inquisitor Tyrael

ABOUT

EXpMRRx.png

A clandestine branch of the Imperial Security Bureau, the Inquisitorius is easily the most feared and mysterious operation throughout the Empire. Force sensitive operatives, their mandate is to manage the Sith , keep it in line and help the expansion of the Empire through means the Sith Order cannot comprehend.

The nature of the Inquisitorius means that few outside of the top echelons of the Imperial Chain of Command know the real extent and reach of the group. Including non-combat members they number less than a hundred in total. However rumours have inflated this number, to the point where people believe they lurk behind ever corner and when they appear it's an ill omen for someone or something. Unknown to most, Inquisitors can be regularly seen throughout the halls and battlefields of the Galaxy commonly they are inserted into standard operations. Helping support the main goal alongside their true purpose in the region.

More than any other branch, this one keeps order within the Sith Order itself. Individual Sith who threaten the stability of the Empire are watched and, if deemed necessary, eliminated. Pointless cruelty or destructive outbursts at detriment to the Empire are liable to draw their most displeased attention. If they or another branch catches wind of Jedi involvement in an operation, especially within Sith territory, Inquisitors are tasked with hunting them down.

TRAINING

Star-Wars-Inquisitors.jpg

Unlike other parts of the ISB, membership to the Inquisitorius requires a candidate to have a strong Force Potential. Often tasked with directly opposing Force Sensitive individuals from both sides of the spectrum, a prospective candidate must have already shown excellent control over the Dark Side before they are approached to become a member of the Inquisitorius.

One cannot simply apply to be an Inquisitor, instead they must be sponsored by an already established member of The Order. This usually occurs after the Inquisitor in question has seen the candidate perform an impressive feat or shown extreme loyalty to the Empire in the field.

Once approval from the Master Inquisitor in charge of that station has been received. Prospective Inquisitors are put through a rigorous selection process to test their skill aptitudes with mundane and Force-related tasks, psychological profiles are recorded, and command of the Dark Side tested.

If all these tests are passed, and the Master Inquisitor deems them worthy, they will be invited into the ranks as a Junior Inquisitor. Each new Inquisitor is a Sith given a new concealing uniform and armour. Usually either black or Blood Red, a codename and new lightsaber are provided to avoid any form of identification between the new Inquisitor and their usual self. Additional training for proficiency in stealth usage of the Force, interrogation techniques, mind-reading, assination, sabotage along with other aspects of their role is constantly provided and honed throughout their time in the Inquisitorius.

STRUCTURE

The structure of the Inquisitorius is divided over four ranks and three major disciplines.

Acolyte-Inquisitor

Having passed their initial tests and having been accepted into the ranks of the Inquisitorius, Acolyte-Inquisitors are usually assigned less dangerous roles for their discipline. Like all Inquisitor’s they are tasked with beginning their own ‘files’ on influential or exemplary individuals both internally and outside of the Empire. However at this rank they cannot access the Grand Files of the House they belong to. Even though they are internally deemed a Acolyte-Inquisitor this rank is never spoken of outside the halls of the House’s. To the outside Galaxy Acolyte-Inquisitor are just Inquisitors.

Inquisitor

The largest group within the Inquisitorius, Inquisitors have proven themselves within the branch to be strong and dependable members. Having completed numerous missions for their respective discipline as well as created a number of ‘files’ for both their own and the collective Inquisitorius database. They are now tasked with all manner of missions for their discipline as well as given access to their Houses Grand Files.

Master Inquisitor

An established member of the branch, Master Inquisitor’s lead the respective Houses throughout the Empire. Answering directly to the Grand Inquisitor (Imperial Warden). They are tasked with assessing new Inquisitors for their House as well as the security of their Grand Files. Master Inquisitor’s are the only individuals who are able to access the files of other House.

Grand Inquisitor

The Grand Inquisitor has a strange relationship within the Inquisitorius, officially the Grand Inquisitor is the Imperial Warden Darth Anaris. With official control of the Inquisitorius, their activities as well as access to all the 'Grand Files' of the Order she officially their leader. However as with their creed all Inquisitors as told to suspect and not trust anyone who isn't one of the 'Trusted', the fact that Darth Anaris was not one of their own prior to her elevation to the Council, means that she is doubted as much as anyone else. However the Inquisitorius toes the line when asked, even if she has a rather interesint 'File' about herself.

Veritates

Otherwise known to the outside Galaxy as the Truth Seekers, keep tracks on the internal affairs of the Empire. Most members of this discipline have extreme prowess in The Force, but lack the physical skill set to combat threats on the battlefield. Clad mainly in black and orange the Veritates specialize' in conducting interrogations, mind-reading, blackmail, and espionage.

Sicarii

Otherwise known to the outside Galaxy as the Black Hands, they primarily focus their activities away from the borders of the Empire. Looking to disrupt Imperial enemies through assassination, sabotage, bombings, and other direct action. Clad in a combination of greys and blacks, most members of this discipline are the craftiest and most practical of the Inquisitorius.

Venatores

Otherwise known to the outside Galaxy as the Hunters, act as Sith Order internal affairs, making sure no one is causing the Empire as a whole any trouble and "gently discouraging" those who do. Clad in a unique red armour scheme, the members of the Venatores are perhaps the most well rounded of the three disciplines, needing a strong grasp of The Force both in and out of combat, due to their nature of policing other Sith.

LOCATIONS

Even though the Inquisitorius' reputation and reach is vast, they currently only have five major locations named Houses that they work out of. They currently reside on the planets, Korriban, Adumar, Junction, Eriadu and Lianna. When venturing into non-friendly space the Inquisitorius currently use ISB outposts and forward operating basses instead of setting up their own.

Korriban (Sith Core Worlds and Eastern Reaches)

Deep within the main Sith Temple lies the Korriban House, hiding in plain sight a combination of Force techniques and careful movement keep the House secret from the Sith that roam the halls just outside. Due to its location deep within Sith Space, this House mainly works around internal affairs, monitoring members of the Sith Hierarchy and Temple and as such is mostly staffed by Venatores. The current head of the House is Master Inquisitor Auriel.

Adumar (Avillion and Western Reaches)

The newest House, the house was dedicated approximately two weeks before the Council Purge. Tasked with monitoring the growing powers of the Western Reaches and the Sith within as well as probing into the Northern aspects of Republic and Free World Space. The house has a good combination of Venatores and Sicarii. The current head of the House is Master Inquisitor Tyrael

Junction (Central Imperial Space)

Now the largest of the five houses after the establishment of ISB Headquaters on Serenno. This House is also tasked with keeping an eye on the Empress' home world of Dathomir. Due to its size and location near the border with hostile space the house has a mixture of all three types of Inquisitors. The current head of the House is Master Inquisitor Imperius.

CREED

EXpMRRx.png

"Trust no person, only your faith in the Empire will guide you."

The Inquisitorius' Creed resolves around trust and the lack their off for all members of the Sith Empire. Instead focusing on their loyalty to the Empire and the 'Imperial Will' through the 'Trusted'. Only these two individuals have the complete loyalty of the Inquisitor in question. All others, including direct superiors, Sith Masters and the Imperial Council are always to be watched, doubted and files built, encase their loyalty to the cause falters.

The current 'Trusted' are the Empress Andruil herself and the Dark Lord Darth Raze.

As the Inquisitorius are loyal to the Empire and the 'Imperial Will/Trusted' and not the actual person sat in the throne itself. If Andruil was ever to lose the throne their loyalty would transfer with the Imperial Title.

THE FILES

EXpMRRx.png

YR5YV4W.jpg

Perhaps the most powerful weapon the Inquisitorius wields is 'The Files'. A collection of documents on all member of society from the lowest Sith Acolyte to the Imperial Council themselves. Anyone who catches the eye of the group is subject to a file created about themselves, this is not limited to members of the Empire with files built on Jedi, Republic Senators, Free World Admirals and ISC Generals.

Most files are basic, the person only crossing the Inquisition once in their lifetime, it maybe basic details around their appearance and outward personality nothing to interesting. However for persons of interest, the files may be hundreds of pages long, detailing appearance, personality, abilities, history, habits, weakness and strengths, relationships, political views etc. Every Inquisitor from Acolyte-Inquisitor to Master Inquisitor is tasked with always advancing 'The Files' collecting data on anyone they find of note.
