You know, I don't feel as excited as feel I should. Got the tickets already, but I don't have the same buzz The Force Awakens gave me, or even Rogue One
The Force Awakens capitalized on the return of Star Wars and Han Solo, and Rogue One capitalized on it being a new kind of Star Wars movie while leaning on ANH nostalgia.
I think it's fair and okay to say that the marketing for those movies, particularly TFA, represented lightning in a bottle that won't be recaptured in the same way again.
Seriously the amount of misdirection in the trailer had me thrilled. Will Kylo kill Leia? Will Rey team up with him? Will Snoke seduce Rey to the dark side. How does Finn end up destroying an First Order shipyard? So many questions. And still two months to go.
Really good to see @Brandon Rhea making an appearance in his long awaited debut as a Porg. Great to see someone so passionate about Star Wars on the silver screen.
