The Last Pages

The last pages of Cregan Drast's Journal are not ordered, they are not clean and they are singularly unimpressive to many.

Indeed, had he the choice he would never have these mutterings, these rambling and disjointed words, written down and read by others.

But he is beyond that now.

He is beyond the ability to care or to have much opinion at all - the dead do not want, they do not need and they do not feel. The dead are cold and the dead are silent; more the pain of those who knew them.

For her - is it enough? It is good enough?
No, too short, too incomplete
She wouldn't like it? (Maybe she'd have a good laugh though?)
