The lost younglings OOC

Having an OOC for this thread may indeed be useful. So first of all, someone wants to join the thread: ex-jedi now mercenary. I don't mind, but you guys should have a vote in this aswell.

Concerning the plot, I do believe we're still too far away to intervene with varg, so it may not end well for the younglings. Maybe he could wound them and play with his prey before we actually confront him? Or have this mercenary arrive a bit earlier than we do? Anu still hasn't figured out what the danger is, so his presence may lead to confusion. Also, something that may fit well in this plot is Anu's PTSD. Seeing jedi bodies in a forest would certainly trigger it.

No matter what happens, this thread is going to be fun.

Varg isn't planning on killing or even harming the younglings currently though you guys can hand wave some time passing once you're ready to get moving so it isn't just my hanging out with the Jedi boy scouts for pages lol

There are a couple things to consider on letting people join: The first is if it makes sense for them being there. Varg is an Exile who part of a group looking to possibly attack the libaray some time, and of course the Jedi have the best reason to be there. Anyone who joins needs to have a good IC reason to be on the planet and in the woods. Secondly, you have to look at how full you want the thread. The bigger the thread the slower it moves. As I'm kind of the outside force here, I'll leave it up to you guys. I knew coming into this thread I would be out numbered as that just makes sense.

As Raydo said, as long as it makes sense that he would be on Ossus, Im alright with it.

I'm sensing an extreme disadvantage here.. Ralaa is barely 5 feet tall and Varg and Anu are giants. Maybe she should feed the children to Varg.

Something that got me thinking: Anu and Ralaa were following the river when they heard the screams, but couldnt see the spectacle. Doesn't that mean we have the high ground? (A hill or pile of rocks between anu, ralaa and varg would make sense in this case)

My brain is fried today. If they were higher up, they would have been able to see Varg and the children below them. If they were below him they should have been able to see him above them.. This question is painful. I would say you can describe the surroundings in your own words.

I posted, and came up with a few things. If I need to change something, I'll be available tomorrow (GMT +1, timezones are great..) But I figured I should elaborate it a bit further. Anu would be clearly visible if Varg moved in front of the younglings and looked at the woods, but from varg's current location, he wouldnt be able to see much more than two very vague blue lights, if Anu kept facing that direction. Also executing his plan would be difficult, as he didn't communicate with either Ralaa or the younglings. It's his backup plan if everything goes to hell.

@Powerfullhorus I saw you had asked on discord which hand Varg was striking with. Varg is holing the youngling with his left and striking with his right. In general, its better to ask the questions here so it doesn't get buried in discord. Good Question.

@powerfulhorus I am fine with your current post, but going forward it would be extremely difficult for Anu to do much of anything. Even getting grazed by a lightsaber is an extremely painful ordeal and even normal hamstring injuries lay people out. See when Dooku hits Obi Wan in AotC - he is pretty much instantly incapacitated.

He is not going to be able to support himself really at all on the leg.

Like I said, issues with the last post since you were just really talking, just some thoughts. Also, I thought it was great asking for Varg to surrender! Good Stuff.

I posted, although there's not much I can do to further influence the story. So let's just pray that Ralaa will be able to keep up with Varg.
