What is going to happen in your plot?
@Melkor Damask and his former pupil @Myr Khandros will visit the ruins of the old Death Star on Kef Bir to test themselves and the dark side within them.
What other writers (and their characters) will be a part of this?

Please provide a basic in-character timeline of what you expect to happen. Include opposition type for each thread:
  • [Self-DM/Ask] At the conclusion of Myr Khandros's training in the ways of the dark side and his induction into the Sith Eternal cult, his teacher, Melkor Damask, takes the two to Kef Bir in hopes of finding an intact TIE Interceptor for his growing Imperial collection. The seas are treacherous and the ruins of the old Death Star are haunted by the imprint of the dark side left by Darth Sidious's death there. In the ruins, Melkor will test his apprentice one last time, and, hopefully, locate the relic he came for in the process.
What do you or your character hope to achieve with this plot? What is the "end-game?” Link any items you’re seeking if applicable.
This is more of a story thread. Melkor is an Imperial enthusiast who collects working relics from that bygone era, but he is also a dark sider who has taken a Devaronian apprentice. He takes his apprentice to Kef Bir, knowing the seas and the ruins of the old Death Star, are treacherous, in the hopes of completing his apprentice's training. The two will be tested by dark phantasms, and duel between master and apprentice, stumbling upon a pair of intact TIE Interceptors in the wreckage during the process (Kylo found a working TIE Fighter there, so it shouldn't be too much of a stretch) for them to escape on at the conclusion.
Do you need any involvement of canon NPCs or faction leaders to be DMed by a staff member? If so, please detail who/what and for what purpose.

I would really prefer this to be 3 threads since its for a pair of fighters. After speaking with the Tech team, the ship really should take two threads. Perhaps they find the starfighters but have to make repairs while being attacked. These ships would have been sitting for quite a while and likely exposed to a fair amount of ocean air/water which would not bode well for their condition.

There is plenty of directions you could take to play up the story of actually discovering the ships and making them flyable. Let me know when you come up with something or if you have any questions.

After talking with @Arclight, we'd like to change up the plot a little bit; but I wanted to get the team's feedback before I make any edits to the plot submission above. This is what we propose:

  • We are going to change the reward to a TIE Elder starfighter. They have hyperdrives and such, so it'd make more sense to go for them.
  • Since TIE Elders are basically just upgraded TIE interceptors, we're going to get a pair of interceptor chassis from the Death Star in our first thread—dueling each other and phantasms as a result of the dark side energy in the Death Star's ruins a la Episode IX as we progress through the super-structure.
  • Then, in the second thread, we will have them retrofitted and repaired into the proper TIE Elders described in the write-ups.

I can split the first thread described into two if we really need three total—I was just going by the requirements on the write ups that list 1-2 threads. Are these two okay? Or should we split them into three? I'll tag tech team too for their input. @Loco @AutoFox

When something says 1-2 threads, you need to give a very strong justification for why your one thread merits the reward, and I don't really see that here. I definitely don't like the 2 for 2 idea- you'll need to put in a little more work for it. Maybe the parts you need to get these things running have been scavenged by a local tribe who took up residence on the moon? Something like that.

On another note, since the TIE/EL wasn't invented until well after the battle of Endor, it's unlikely that you could just do a straight mod from IN to EL- not without a full workshop and specialized knowledge of the design. You might want to look into reskinning your interceptors somehow, and just use the EL stats, if this is the way you want to go.

That's doable, and I like the idea of attacking some tribe to gather the parts. But just so that I don't get knee-deep in this plot and realize I still haven't done enough, what is your estimated thread count for doing all of that? Specifically: reskinning the interceptors using EL stats?
