Toki took a moment to catch his breath when the creature was distracted. He had an idea to try and use the Force to fling the creature against one of the trees or a particularly pointy branch to get it away from everyone else, though as he focused, his chest burned with intense pain as he buckled over. All the creature would feel was a slight pull, but not enough to displace them. His vision blurred from the pain as he watched blood drip into the swampy mud below. He clenched his fists, frustrated. Why couldn't he do it? He needed to push through the pain and help everyone, but he just couldn't. There was a child with the group. He was one of the oldest here, shouldn't he be the one taking all of the burdens for everyone?

He looked around, and noticed that there were a few that were in worse condition than him, and those still trying their best to fight despite the dangers. Clove was seriously injured and Elidan was too exhausted to continue in this scenario. If he didn't get hurt fighting the swamp monster, or if he had the foresight to pull some people out of the way, things would have gone better.

Eventually, he heard Zana call out that the caravan was ready to move out. He contemplated just...staying where he was, but he grit his teeth and stood up "H-hey...!" He called out to Kalam "It's time to go, please don't get hurt on my account, go...!" He called out as he staggered backwards towards the caravan. There had to be something else he could do, but another wave of pain rattled him as he leaned against the wagon.

Dejected, he stumbled into the wagon and fell back against one of the seats, exhausted and in pain. "Please...let everyone get here safely..." He muttered. That little prayer was all he could offer the group now, much to his mounting frustration. He needed to train more...but at this point he doubted he would be able to improve if this was his first impression. He didn't have any bandages on him...of course, the one thing he needed he didn't have on him. He tried to focus his breathing and numb his pain. He needed to get back into fighting shape sooner rather than later, but could he?

Issyl managed to drag the surprisingly heavy half-sephi to the wagon. She was excited to hear the wheel was fixed and quickly tried to lift him into the back of the wagon. However she could feel the wagon start to move "Wait wait I'm trying to lift him in!" she shouted to Zana. The wagon pulled a bit too far away and Issyl's grip on Elidan slipped. He fell towards the ground, the top of his head landing in "green mud?"

It wasn't mud.

At a loss of words Issyl decided to grab Clove instead, who was much lighter, and managed to get her into the wagon succesfully. Issyl bent over and put her hands on her knees to catch her breath before grabbing Elidan. The fresh green droppings of the beasts were smushed into his hair and slightly on his forhead. "I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I'm so sorry..." she muttered to herself while dragging him to the wagon. With more conviction, partially from feeling awful for dropping him, Issyl got Elidan into the wagon.

The fighting seemed to still continue. Issyl looked around at the others, but didn't hesitate to jump into the wagon alongside Toki. "Hurry up everyone!" she yelled. Issyl quickly covered her nose after a foul odor emanating from Elidan's head came across her nostrils. Issyl looked over at Toki "I'm not wiping that off," her voice was a bit cartoonish as she pinched her nose.

It was only now that the monster he was fighting was impaled and out of the picture that Varyn really got to take a look around at the utter chaos that had unfolded. People were laying on the ground, being dragged around, covered in goo, the floor was sizzling, people were nearly dabbing, and it definitely managed to look like a battlefield.

The wagon started rolling and as people piled aboard and dropped other people in goo, Varyn ran over and leapt onto the wagon, turning around to see if anyone else needed a hand up as they rolled.

Immediately, the smell hit him. What is that smell?! he couldn't help but gasp, starting to cough and gag and suppressing the urge to vomit. He was starting to wonder if it would have been better to simply stay behind and be eaten by the monsters than suffocate on... whatever that smell was. Someone needed to be yeeted off the back of the wagon for the good of the company.

Kal grinned as the monster turned away from the injured Toki and moved to face him, that ought to buy the other padawan some time to get out of any immediate danger. But then that smile froze on his face and started morphing into a look of worry as he lost his balance and started tumbling forward.

Then that morphed into pure terror as the monster jerked its crotch towards him and a weird tongue like appendage shot out straight towards him. He closed his eyes, expecting the worst, but the next moment he felt himself be dragged forward instead of tumbling and rolling forward. He opened his eyes to see the creature's tongue on the backpack. His training took over and he immediately tried to wiggle his way out of the straps, but even though one shoulder slipped a little out of the darn things, he just couldn't manage to get himself free in time.

He opened his mouth to let out a scream of pure terror as he saw himself be drawn in towards that monstrous opening, but at the last moment realization dawned and he clammed his mouth shut as he brought his right arm forward and hurried his face in the nook of its elbow to protect his face as best as he could not breathe or swallow anything that was to come as he heard a weirdly muffled "schplook" and found himself enveloped in something warm, slimy, and very uncomfortable. A moment later pain kicked in, as whatever juices the ring secreted started burning through. All he could do was push and shove from the inside, trying to get free.

If anyone was to see the sight from the outside, they would see a pair of legs sticking out from the creature's crotch mouth, the backpack having blocked his entire body from being sucked it, the legs waving wildly as the figure inside struggled against the slow digestive process that he seemed to have been invited to attend.

Was punching the slimy swamp monster with a crotch mouth an awful idea? Yes, it was. Did Thelian give the slightest fuck? No, he did not.

Without a moment of hesitation or forethought, Thelian bolted towards the creature – crossing the distance between them until he was within arm’s length. The Force coalesced all around him and flowed through his body – enhancing his strength beyond his physical limits – to prepare for a good ol’ Thelian-punch when all else failed.

He took his swing, and Thelian couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of satisfaction when his punch found its mark – his pale fist sinking deep into the swamp creature’s eye and eliciting a pained yelp from it. After being beaned in the forehead by the crotch-mouth appendage, this had become personal, the Echani enjoyed getting revenge on the monster maybe a little bit too much. He drew his fist back, prepared to go for another blow when the creature turned and started running away.

“FUCK YEAH” He bellowed, proceeding to give the fleeing creature the middle finger with his slime-covered hand. “EAT SHIT, YOU UGLY SON OF A BITCH!” Naturally, Thelian gave no mind to the literal child nearby and spoke entirely without a filter.

Of course, his satisfaction was cut short by the intense burning sensation that began emanating from his hand. His nostrils were treated to the scent of lemony-freshness, and silver eyes went wide with horror as he witnesses the acid sizzling and bubbling against his skin.

“FUCK!” He screamed out in pain, immediately flailing his arm wildly in a futile attempt to shake off the viscous substance. After a few more seconds of agony, Thelian realized that he would need to wipe the substance off. Without literally any supplies on his person, the Echani opted to use what he was wearing to do the job.

Without a moment to lose, Thelian reached down with his free hand and pulled the tank top he wore up over his head, removing the garment and proceeding to use it like a rag – furiously attempting to wipe the substance off of his hand.

Naturally, Thelian was too busy dealing with his arm literally melting to be concerned about anything else going on around him. He ignored any calls to the wagon, and was entirely oblivious to his fellow Padawan’s being drug through bantha shit or getting eaten by the crotch of the creatures. Instead, the Echani could do nothing but cry out in pain and struggle to wipe the acid from his hand.

Her second shot had landed as well, giving Theliodorous Rex an opportunity to punch that frog thing hard in the eye. "Yeah, take that!" she crowed jubilantly. Any further attention she could have paid to how Thelian was doing, and whether his arm melted off into burnt caramel goo was disrupted by the fact that her tree was shuddering. She looked down to see Sev, a very bloodied, battered, and exhausted looking Sev, working through the force to ensnare the frog with tree roots. Well that was pretty darn cool.

Then Zana started screaming for everyone to get on the wagon. Felis quickly scanned the battlefield to see what was going on, what frogs were left, and then cast a critical eye at the distance between her tree and the wagon. She could make it, right? With the force...yeah...she could make it. She closed her eyes and shifted into a sprinter's stance. Her fingers felt the ancient, twisted bark with little lacings of moss in the valleys, and dug in slightly. Gathering the force to herself she opened her eyes and fixed on the back of the cart, picking out a spot that looked like it would support her landing. With an unf she lept.14

Felis arced through the air, and, as she did so, she twisted her body, engaging her core muscles. Her arm drew back the bowstring for a third time, getting more comfortable with the apparition of a physical arrow. Time seemed to slow down for her as she brought the bow up and the arrow back, fletching resting against the line of her jaw. Sev's frog, the one restrained in place by earth-encrusted roots, came into sight. Now she was flying backwards through the air blindly at the wagon. Felis' ears flattened, her silvery-gray eyes narrowed. "Eat this, dick-face!" she snarled and let fly with the arrow.11

A few, short seconds later and Felis slammed into the back of the wagon. It was a hard landing, a sharp landing, but - importantly - she landed as intended. She dug her feet into the wood as she skidded into the back of a crate with a thump. Her butt might be bruised from the impact but at the end of the day she was safely aboard. Adrenaline and endorphins coursed through her veins and her snarl turned into an excited and energetic smile. She jumped up and down with pure excitement. "HOLY SHIT DID YOU SEE THAT GUYS? THAT WAS AWESOME!"

"YES!" The metal should-not-be-metal blade sank into the swamp monster's leg, but the victory in her black eyes soon morphed into frustration when she realized the blade was not going to cleave through the creature's bone. The little Jedi put all her effort into pulling out the blade, unaware of the clawed hand that was swinging toward her. If it was not for the planets Severus commanded to wrap around and constrict the monster, Maura surely would've been slapped into tomorrow.

"Got it!" With one final tug, Maura ripped the blade from the creature's flesh and stumbled back. Her head snapped to Severus, who at that moment was yelling at her to get to the wagon. The wagon wasn't far away, but as she turned to locate it her eyes spotted something much more important to the rainbow-haired kid.

Two legs sticking out of one of the monsters' crotch-mouths.

Maura disabled her sword-saber and hauled ass towards the monster. "Gotta go!" Severus would be able to watch her completely ignore his command to go off towards the swamp-thing. The child wasn't concerned about what Severus wanted though; all she knew is that there were two legs where two legs shouldn't be.

She clipped her saber to her belt as she ran, then stopped several meters away from the thing. With both hands, she reached out, tightened the Force around Kalam's ankles and lower legs. She would then attempt to pull with all the strength she could muster through the Force to get him out.

Zana yanked on the reins a bit to slow the wagon down since her peers were having a hard time getting on in time. The twi’lek cursed to herself, glancing over to the side. She spotted Thelian with his arm in agony, the sight sending pangs through her. She began to rise up where she stood, but she spotted one of the padawans literally being eaten alive. From her vantage point, she could spot who was already on the wagon, immediately hearing Varyn who was complaining about the smell but otherwise in perfectly good health.

“HEY! Go and help Thelian! He’s badly hurt!” She shouted at him before looking back towards Kal. Zana had one hand on the reins, focusing the Force and channeling it through her palm. Since she had been channeling it a bit and meditating before, she was far more attuned to it than usual. The Force surged through her as she coiled it around Kal’s legs.

Zana pulled with all her might, intending to yank him completely out of the creature’s crotch mouth. It would look like a grotesque live birth no one wanted to witness, but it was there on display. She hoped against hope he wasn’t dead already, and that her efforts would pay off.

While Elidan was passed out on the road. He started to dream. The half-Sephi was back at the gardens of the Jedi Temple of Yavin IV. It was a sunny day and he was reading alone like how he used to. In the distance, he could see the other padawans running and playing with each other.

Suddenly, he felt himself start to move. Now he was running with the other Padawans, being able to see Zana, Clove, Ruzaan, Thelian and Severus. All of them were laughing and smiling, including the Echani. Elidan felt so happy, it was like he had returned to the good times of when he lived at Ajan Kloss. While dragging his limp form, Issyl would be able to see that the boy was smiling.

Still in his dream, the boy saw the Padawans lay down on the grass to look at the blue sky. Elidan smiled and felt himself fall on the grass too. However, his head had hit something wet. Scared, he got up from where he was. Looking around, he saw that he was back on a familiar corridor of the Temple of Ajan Kloss. Around him were the dismembered bodies of his friends. The floor was covered with their blood and it was also dripping from his hair. He could hear the laugh of the assassins of his friends. They formed a circle around him, staring at the boy with his golden eyes and pointing their red sabers toward him. What had started as a good dream had become a terrible nightmare.

While Issyl put Elidan inside the wagon, she was so concerned with the foul odor coming from his hair that she would not notice how the half-Sephi’s body was shaking or how tears were starting to roll through his cheeks.

Varyn's eyes were still sweeping over the area when Zana yelled for him to help Thelian.

Karabast! he shouted, looking around before spotting him. He didn't waste a moment as he leapt down, hitting the ground and racing over toward the Echani. It all unfolded within a second in his mind. He looked down at the man's goo-covered hand, smelled the stench of burning flesh and heard the sizzling. He was just starting to reach for his own shirt when the Echani managed to get his off and wipe the hand down first.

It didn't seem to be working that great, so he went forward with the idea anyway in part. Shoving his saber away, he pulled off his gloves and started helping to wipe off what was left over on Thelian's hand.

Thelian, we've got to go, the cart is leaving and we're going to die! he said. He didn't want to oversell it, but he didn't feel like he was. Who knew how many more of these creatures there were. He would have liked to say he was more suave and collected, but he wasn't. He was a teenager battling murderous monsters.

He would give a shoving nudge toward the cart of Thelian didn't get moving, and hopefully they would manage to make it back to the cart without being attacked by another sticky crotch appendage.

The padawan’s luck really did seem to be turning around. No one had died, and though a few did sustain some injuries – whether to their physical person, their pride, or both – all eleven of them would at least make it out of the impromptu battle they had just gone through.

Slowly, the creatures pulling the wagon began to trudge through the swamp mud at the behest of Zana, her attempt at calming and coaxing them working like a charm. While the beasts were quite large and obviously very strong, it would take them some time to really get up to speed.

Toki, Issyl, Elidan, and Clove would all make it onto the wagon without much issue. Inside of the Caravan they (the conscious ones anyway) would see an absolute drunken orgy of.. well, there were so many different things it was really hard to take it all in.

Bottles filled with strange looking liquids that ran the entire rainbow of colors, all manner of random foodstuffs - most of which they definitely wouldn’t recognize) – bags of grain, weapons, clothes, beer, wine – you get the point.

The caravan driver was also still inside, a long pipe hanging from his mouth while he rested in an overstuffed easy chair, a large book sitting in his lap. Looking up, the man gave them a wide smile and clasped his book shut.

Ah, I see we are moving again! He said before his nose wrinkled after catching a whiff of Elidan. By the gods that boy stinks. Take him back outside and let him air out a bit!

Meanwhile, outside, things were going.. about as well as one could hope given the circumstances. As had come to be expected, @Felis Tivor's deadly skills with her bow remained consistent, even with her added dramatic flair this time.

As she landed with a thud on top of the caravan, she would be able to witness the fruits of her labor. Her arrow would fly with pinpoint accuracy and catch the monster near Severus directly in the temple, passing straight through.

The beast keeled over almost instantly which would give Severus the opportunity, should his body not entirely fail him due to injury, to get to his feet and trot his way to the caravan.

@Kalam Mekhar, on the other hand, was not having such a fun experience. Unable to free himself from the backpack, the swamp monster was able to pull him in and nearly engulf the poor boy entirely.

Inside the monster’s crotch mouth – which somehow seemed bigger on the inside than you would think – Kalam would be feeling suffocated, and then the actual pain would start. Stinging and burning over all the parts of him that were inside the beast, though he would feel it on the top of his head the most.

It wouldn’t last long, though. Kalam would suddenly feel a strong tugging on his legs before being yanked out of the combination coffin-womb-crotch-mouth. The strength of the combined effort of @Zana Ari and @Maura Starwalk was enough to send Kalam soaring through the air, the tongue-like appendage still attached to his backpack tearing out of the beast and coming along with him, before Kalam landed hard on the ground.

While mostly, somewhat relatively unharmed, the first thing anyone looking at Kalam would notice was that.. well, the boy was now just entirely bald. The monster’s digestive juices ate away every last bit of Kalam’s once thick brown hair. He would have scrapes and acid burns on other parts of his body as well, but for some reason it seemed likely find the marvelous chrome dome he now sported would be the most painful part.

@Thelian Lsai might have been the worst off of all of the padawans despite his triumph in fisting the swamp beast into submission. By the time that Varyn was able to make it to Thelian and help him get the caustic eyegoo off his hand, Thelian had already been badly burned.

While most of the wounds would be surface level and treatable should the group find a medic of some kind soon, the worst of the injury would be to two of Thelian's fingers; the caustic goo having eaten away the top half of his middle finger and the entirety of his pinky.

Once everyone from outside had also made it aboard the caravan, the man would greet all of those on the inside with a wave. Some would have to be seated outside of the caravan interior given the enormity of the padawan's group.

Thank you for saving me and my caravan, He said with a smile. He had a salesman's voice, his words came out a little oily and he spoke just a little too fast. My name is Grem, and this is my traveling trading post.

Looking around, Grem finally noticed just how injured some of the padawans were. His eyes widened a little and he went over to the shelves that housed some of the bottles of liquid.

Anyone with burns from the swamp monsters take one of these, he said, pointing at some of the bottles with purple liquid. General pain, these would work better. Grem pointed at some yellow bottles this time. On the house this time, of course.

The sun was beginning to set in the swamp and the group was still a long way from any real civilization. Eventually, they would need to make camp, but it would be wise to still put some distance between them and the swamp monsters. Grem, his salesman's smile still on his face, would answer any questions that the padawans may have for him after they had tended to their wounds.

They say you learn a lot about yourself when facing death, that your life flashes before your eyes and you gain insights that you might otherwise spend years upon years chasing. All Kal got was the realization that he hated the smell of burning hair, he did not like being eaten alive by a slimy crotch monster, and that he could scream in a really, really, really high pitched voice if he wanted to.

Thankfully for him the shock of suddenly not being engulfed by an oversized sexual organ was enough to make him cut his shriek short before he shot out like a child reborn, saving him the embarrassment of the other padawan hear him scream like that. Landing in a mess on the ground some distance from the monster, he took a moment to catch his breath, then took a moment to thank whatever gods had saved him from the stinky end that seemed to be coming for him, making a mental note to find out exactly who had pulled him out and profusely thank them, and then felt his entire body shudder as he noticed some of the downed monsters and realized just what they had saved him from and what he was covered in.

Shaking his hands to get rid of as much of the slime that clung to them as he could, he proceeded to wipe away the slime on his face, before sweeping his hand upwards to streak it through his hair, to squeeze away any of the ooze that might be coating the top of his head.

He did scream then, not the same high pitched screech of a child he had let out earlier, but a shocked and pained one nonetheless, as instead of hair his hand slipped over smooth, slick, skin.

It took the young man a minute or to recompose himself, to come to terms with the fact that he had not only re-enacted his birth, but was as bald as the day he had been born. Pushing himself to his feet, pain tinged with anger driving him, he almost toppled over, having forgotten about the backpack still on his back. Cursing, he steadied himself and got to his feet. The straps seem to have tightened themselves around his shoulders, and whatever magical technology had gone into them, he could not figure out how to get them off. So as the caravan owner finally showed himself and started talking about the salve for the burns, Kal walked past and snatched one grumpily as he continued making his way towards the downed padawans stacked in the back of the caravan. All the while the beast's tongue trailed behind him, attached to the backpack, slithering around on the ground like a new tail that the padawan had grown.

Opening the bottle, he started dabbing it over the numerous burns that covered his upper body, in his frustration almost missing the horrid stench they gave off. As he jumped onto the caravan and scrambled towards the downed padawans, he tried to shake Clove back to consciousness, to no avail. So he made use of the one thing at his disposal, the stinking salve, and pushed the opened bottle right up beneath he nose.

"WAKE UP! NOW!"

If the young padawan woke up, she'd find herself looking up at the rather horrifying sight of the young man with no eyebrows, no eyelashes, and not a strand of hair on his head, and covered in splashes of weird slime. For all she knew the monsters had her.

Zana exhaled in relief when seemingly everyone managed to get on the caravan. Of course, she still had no idea the extent of the injuries of the others, but to her knowledge no one died. She winced a bit on hearing Thelian’s agonized cries of pain and was shocked to see Kal with absolutely no hair. Through it all, she spotted the child who was on the field. Despite how brave the little girl was, Zana didn’t want her to feel alone or scared.

“Hey kid!” She called out to the girl, “Wanna come sit up here with me?” Zana managed a smile, “I might even let you driiiiiive,” She jingled the reins a bit, scooting to the side to make room for the youngling. If she hopped on, Zana would look over and smile, “You were super brave out there! That guy would’ve been a goner if you didn’t help. I wish I could be as brave as you,” She said genuinely, eyes wide as she looked at the little girl.

Through it all, Zana had neglected her own injury from the caravan. Her arm was still slowly bleeding, the long scratch on the side in need of bandages. Exhaustion began to set in as the sun slowly disappeared over the horizon. She could hear chatter behind her, but she tried her best to focus and keep the wagon going. Zana spent most of the time talking to the little girl and exchanging stories of different missions and boring classes and mean teachers. She let Maura take the reins a few times, though the impacts she had on the bantha were adorably minimal.

“-And now and then Master Valtiere comes to teach us saber lessons and it’s so cool! He’d probably teach you Ataru since you’re small and quick,” Zana smiled at the thought, “It’s what I want to learn too!”

After a while, it was clear the beasts were beginning to get tired. They started to slow down and Zana squinted her eyes to see. She couldn’t see the path ahead at all beyond whatever was illuminated by the lamps on the caravan. Zana slowly attempted to maneuver the beasts slightly off to the side of the road. It took a while but the caravan slowly rolled over towards the side. The twi’lek pulled the reins to bring the animals to a complete stop.

“Hey guys!” She called out behind her, “The animals are tired! We need to camp here for the night!” Zana hopped off the caravan before walking around to help Maura down. She looked down to inspect the wound on her arm, grimacing at the sight.

“Is everyone okay?” She asked as she began to walk around the back of the caravan, “Let’s set up here and take guard shifts overnight if you’re not hurt.”

Toki was still a little shaken from the events of the battle, but the movement of the caravan confirmed that everyone was aboard. The smell from Elidan, while almost intolerable, was the furthest thing from his mind. To recoil from him now would only serve to break his spirit even more than it already was, so he toughed it out for his sake. He looked around to check on the other Padawans and their current state. He looked devastated. Kalam had lost his hair and had minor burns all over, something he seemed extremely distraught over. Thelian had lost parts of his hand from acid. Clove's hands were in terrible shape. Zana, Maura, Felis, Varyn, and Issyl seemed to be fine, which brought him some peace. He wasn't sure about Severus' status...all in all...was this relatively minor injury he sustained really that serious compared to what the others were currently contending with?

He took a deep breath and focused. He would be okay. He had to be. He couldn't just spend the rest of this trek moping. It wouldn't be fair to the others, nor to him. If we wanted to get stronger, he would need to learn how to take things into perspective and focus more on what he can do to improve. Be humble in triumph, open to learning on failure. He was still new to combat. All this told him was that he needed to train more...and that's okay. The only difference between being a master and a beginner is that a master has failed more times.

He listened to the strange man, now coming across as a merchant of some kind. He seemed appreciative, if opportunistic, of his rescue, and offered the group some kind of medicine depending on their injuries. Wary, he didn't want the others to take something that might disagree with them or not even be medicine at all. So, he took the bullet, so to speak. He grabbed one of the yellow bottles and downed its contents. Only time would tell if this would help his injury at all. He smiled softly as he overheard Zana and Maura discuss her bravery. Zana seemed very encouraging, and he respected that. Maura truly was brave for what she did. At her age he would have been too scared to do anything. As it stands, that was almost the case for him now.

Soon, the caravan would come to a stop so they could camp out for the night. He nodded at Zana's question "I'll be...I'll be okay. I hope the same can be said for everyone else." The bleeding on his chest thankfully had slowed significantly, but he couldn't strain himself too much. The least he could do was keep lookout, but he was unsure if he'd be able to fight. From his seat he stared outside. If they had walked, it would have taken them days to reach the city. Despite the hardship, the caravan was a boon. The encounter, not so much. He focused on recovering for now, but would be open for conversation if anyone spoke to him.

After Severus finished checking his wounds, he found that he had three broken ribs fractured near his back where he thought he had done something to his vertebrae. Broken ribs were absolutely terrible as nothing you did was comfortable. You couldn't stand, sit down, lay down, sneeze, cough, inhale- breathing in general felt like little shards of glass were jammed into his lungs. Sadly, you couldn't brace your ribs or put a sling or splint on them either- they just had to heal on their own due time.

On top of that, he believed he had a concussion, which was going to prove to be very annoying to deal with as just the slightest of loud noises made his ears wanted to bleed out. He wouldn't be able to sleep until he was sure he was better, so for now he hung tight and sat quietly in the caravan wincing a bit every time they lurched over a bump.

Trying to sit comfortably on the caravan he had to race to, Severus tried distracting himself by making sure he had everything in his pack. Spare clothes, toiletries, extra water, two first aid kits, his seed pouch that he carried incase he needed to grow some medicinal herbs or berry bushes for food. He even had a ground mat and heavy blanket incase he needed to rest. Luckily, Zana had pulled over and announced just that!

Severus dropped off of the wagon and winced in pain as his feet touched the ground- his back flared up something terrible, but the pain, luckily, was short lived and disappeared as Sev walked it off. The Twi'lek was right about the rainbow haired wonder. She was probably the bravest out of all of them, though he wouldn't admit this out loud- not yet, anyway.
"Thank you Maura. I would probably be a half-eaten corpse if it wasn't for you." He complimented, mustering a weak smile.

As the remainder of the Padawan Pack piled into the man's wagon, Varyn finally stopped long enough to realize that his heart was absolutely pounding. The smells that filled the transport cart were still terrible, but it seemed like it was no longer the primary issue. He was afraid for Thelian and the others. Things had not gone well for them at the outside of this crash.

Thank you for the ride, Mr. Grem, he said to the man who greeted them (@Logan). Is it usually this dangerous through here? How far is it to the nearest town? he asked, hoping to get some useful information for the group while the others patched up their wounds. He figured it was one of the most productive things that he could do to help out.

In short order, Zana declared that the animals needed a rest and they should set up a camp. Are there usually more of those things in the swamps? he asked Grem. Guards would surely be helpful, but knowing what they were up against would be equally as helpful.

I can take first watch, he volunteered, hoping they'd be taking shifts in pairs to help avoid being overtaken by fatigue. They'd already had quite a day and the last thing any of them needed was to have them overtaken by monsters in the night.

"Ew-ew-ew-ew...!" Maura gagged at the sight of Kalam after he was yanked from the monster's crotch-mouth. She threw her hands over her mouth, trying to hide the laugh that followed the gag. 'He's bald! RIP!'

The kid spun around and ran back to nab her backpack which was still stashed over by the tree. Zana called out to her as she was swinging it back onto her shoulders and said something about driving. Maura had originally planned on exploring the inside of the traveling house-wagon, but the temptation offered by Zana was much more enticing. Before Zana could say "hurry up!" Maura had grabbed hold of the concave handrail and swung herself up on the wooden platform next to the Twi'lek. "Yeah that crotch-mouth swamp monster was no match for me!" exclaimed Maura with a puffed-up chest. "Can I drive now?"

Zana made small talk with her about school and training, which Maura was okay with. She liked talking about her own classes, but she also really liked hearing about the cool stuff Zana was doing in hers. Maura, though she had been allowed to come on this trip, was still several years off from what the Twi'lek and the rest of the gang here were doing in their classes.

"My friends and I got in trouble the other day 'cause I thought it'd be funny if we all used the Force to lift my friend Caty into the air but someone-" Maura coughed into her sleeve. "—Master Jaurr—decided it was 'unsafe' and 'inappropriate.' " She threw her hands up as if she'd been greatly wronged. "I got in trouble the most 'cause Master Jaurr said it was my idea but it was actually Caty's idea 'cause she said she wanted to pretend she was flying. All I did was orchestrate it."

Maura pouted for a second, then perked back up when Zana started talking about her classes again. 'Master Valtiere's the super tall one, right?' The girl tried to think of every Jedi she'd seen in the school wings of the temple. Her black eyes narrowed and she nodded when the face came to mind. 'Yeah! That one!'

"That would be super cool! He seems kinda..." Maura trailed off because she couldn't find the words he was looking for. It wasn't boring and it wasn't scary, but Master Valtiere seemed like the kind of Master to tell her to stop whispering to her friends and pay attention even if she'd spent the whole class paying attention up to that point. Master Jaurr did that to her too, but Jaurr was also kinda boring. "I bet he's a cool teacher! I wanna learn Ataru too! I wanted to learn Juyo 'cause one of my teachers said it was rarely taught but she also said that's 'cause it leads to the Dark Side and that's bad."

Zana stopped the wagon after a while so they could set up a campsite. She wanted to go find Felis and show her what the games she'd told her about earlier looked like, but she was stopped by Severus coming up to her and thanking her for her help. A grin jumped up onto Maura's face. "You're welcome! Even with a broken lightsaber, no swampy crotch-mouth monster can scare me!" She gave him a thumbs-up, then scurried off with her hands clamped onto the straps of her backpack to find Felis.

"FELIS!" Maura shouldered open the door to the wagon, sending the wooden door flying open. Her black eyes would scan the inside and land on the feline padawan. They would soon, however, get distracted by the sheer amount of things inside the mobile house.

"Woah! There's a lot of stuff in here!" She moved further in and grabbed a random potion off a shelf. Sh inspected it by holding it up to a lantern, closing one eye, and using the other to squint thoughtfully at the glass and its contents. There was a red liquid inside that looked a lot like the cough medicine at the temple.

"What is this? Medicine?" Maura gasped and turned around with the bottle thrust away from her. "Is it alcohol?!"

As they rode in the Caravan, Issyl would help those with burns (@Wit @Altaris ) by utilizing the bottles of strange purple liquid, taking the time to introduce herself to the both of them as well. The strange concoction alleviated the pain and a bit of the redness, although the damage would still be there; any hair or missing body parts wouldn't return. "What's this stuff made out of Mr. Grem?"(@Logan ) Issyl asked with enthusiastic curiosity. She was still a novice when it came to force healing, so being able to recreate such a useful potion would be helpful for any future shenanigans; especially if they involved 'Mr. I have white hair and I punch everything'.

Issyl was relieved when Zana called to set up camp, as she was exhausted and wanted to sleep. However, after looking around and observing the others, it wouldn't be fair if she got to sleep before others. "I'll join on the first watch. We should be in pairs each shift to stay cautious." she announced to the others. She approached the dark-haired boy (@Phoenix ) whom she never met before. "Padawan Damol" she said with a warm smile "You can just call me Issyl."

Elidan woke up with a jump. He looked around trying to identify where he was. The boy was still feeling dizzy due to the effort that he had made trying to heal Clove. Slowly, the half-Sephi started remembering what happened previously. He was going with the other padawans on a field trip, then he crashed their ship.

He also remembered how Clove was hit by a caravan and that he tried to heal her, while the others fought a bunch of mouth-crotch monsters. What happened? Did they escape the creature? Where was he? Elidan had so many questions. However, he completely forgot these questions when he smelled a horrible odor.

He looked around, trying to identify where it was coming from. Then he noticed that there was something stuck on his hair. Slowly bringing his hand to it, Elidan touched it with only a finger. When he brought it back so he could see what it was, the half-Sephi grimaced. The smell was coming from his hair! It was smelling like feces! What happened to him?

Then he heard Zana talk. It seems that they were in the caravan that nearly killed them. Well, if they were going to make a camp, maybe he could wash his hair. Thankfully, he had brought soap and shampoo in his backpack. When the caravan stopped, the other Padawans would see Elidan trying to search for a place to wash the feces from his hair and finger. He would need to be careful, due to the still being dizzy from his attempt with Force healing.

As he desperately attempted to save his hand from the caustic goo, Thelian was largely oblivious to the world around him. Molten pain sunk deep into his flesh and elicited agonized, chilling screams from the Echani – completely drowning out whatever kind of horror-movie-style live birth was going on in the background.

His ears keenly picked up on the sound of Zana’s voice, though it would take him several more minutes to actually process and register what she had said. The shirt in his hands gradually began to disintegrate in his hands, and he could do nothing but stare in abject horror as his flesh sizzled and bubbled like fresh tar. Even when Varyn joined in to help – likely saving majority of Thelian’s hand in doing so – he barely seemed to notice the fellow Padawan’s presence.

The pain was enough to cause hot tears to stream down his cheeks, and by the time the goo was completely wiped away, they streamed down his cheeks for another reason entirely. Silver eyes fixated upon what remained of his hand with a mixture of shock and horror, clearly noting the lack of pinky and half-melted stub where his middle finger had once been.

Several seconds passed, and Thelian could do nothing but stare down at his mutilated hand – slowly but surely coming to terms with the impediment that he was now forced to bare. It was only the nudge from Varyn that got the Echani moving, begrudgingly turning around to make his way back to the caravan.

The moment that Thelian stepped into the caravan, the Echani fixated his gaze onto the merchant – silver eyes narrowing harshly upon the moron. There was something about the merchant’s slimy, wry smile that caused Thelian’s blood to boil, his anger spiking the moment the fat fucker opened his mouth.

“..Thank you?” He muttered, blinking a few times. The Echani’s expression spoke murder, and he took a single step towards the man. “You have the nerve to thank us, after nearly getting us killed? How the FUCK did you not see the ELEVEN FUCKING PEOPLE IN YOUR PATH!? What are you, fucking blind?” Venom laced his tone, his volume rising with each word. “You led those swamp fuckers to us, and you didn’t even have the balls between your legs to move your lard-ass and actually help deal with your own mess!” His fists clenched until his knuckles turned white, jaw set exceptionally tight as he glared at the merchant.

“Go fuck yourself.” With that, he strode right past the merchant, making his way towards the shelves full of potions. He snagged one of each – both purple and yellow – and popped the corks from the bottles. Going purely based off of what seemed logical, the Echani applied the purple liquid to his burned hand before chugging the yellow. He discarded the bottled back onto the shelf and proceeded to seat himself on the far edge of the caravan – eyes fixated harshly ahead and making it abundantly clear he was unapproachable.

Quite a bit of time would pass, and the caravan finally slowed to a stop – breaking Thelian out of whatever trance he had been in. His gaze rose to look at Zana, clearly noting the bleeding injury on her arm. He stared for a few moments, a frown barely tugging at the corners of his lips before he actually responded to what she said. “I’ll be fine.” He muttered.

With that, Thelian abruptly pushed himself to his feet, silver eyes flicking between both Zana and Varyn. “Thanks, by the way.” He said dryly. Despite the curt way he spoke, the look in his eyes made it abundantly clear that he was, in fact, grateful for their assistance earlier. With that, Thelian began to make his way towards the caravan exit.
