"Okay. That is, if you're sure." 'Padawan' meant little to Yulie; all she really understood of its meaning was that it was a Jedi word for a lower-ranking subordinate. That certainly didn't bother her, but it might bother someone else if they thought it more than she deserved. To a proper Padawan, it could be offensive that someone like Yulie might answer to it, especially since it meant little to the Dathomirian. At least, that's what she thought. It was definitely better than the degrading nicknames she had collected over the years, and it felt pleasant being spoken to like she deserved to exist.
"What is taking him so long?"
"He might have given us some space if he overheard us." This was the best plausible excuse that Yulie could come up for him on his behalf that wouldn't annoy his teacher. If she had to guess, she imagined he was teaching the giant lizard some commands, or perhaps recovering the tray if it had finished eating.
It did not take him long to meet them once he had be called, and Yulie took great interest in the twin hilts when he produced them. She had seen several today, but they were legendary weapons, storied blades wielded by larger-than-life characters. Made of durasteel, they looked vaguely similar to her own although in much better shape. A working lightsaber was fascinating, no matter who held it. "If you were to find those in...the middle of nowhere...is there some way to tell if they need to be purified? Or is this something that you would do with any you might find, just to be safe?"
