History is fickle, sometimes the stupidest things are remembered and the most important things forgotten. This is not an important thing forgotten or a stupid thing remembered this is just something that has slowly fallen into the void of darkness that is history. The Pendant of Andraste, The Blood Pendant, The Pendant of a Thousand Souls, it has been called over a dozen things officially and perhaps a million more unofficially but the undeniable truth is that The Pendant of Andraste is power incarnate. Not only due to the immense ties the item has to the Dark Side but the intricate ties it has to the greats period of Sith Power in the galaxies history.
Description
Not much to look at even from an expert jewellers eye, The Pendant of Andraste is a small metallic bird skull pendant, about the size of grown man's thumb. It has been hung on pieces of cloth, string, silver, gold, platinum though these have changed from person to person the pendant itself has not.
The pendant itself begun life as nothing more than just a simple piece of jewellery worn by the Fallen Jedi come Empress of the Sith, over time around the neck of the powerful Darksider the item slowly began to soak up the dark energy of The Force flowing from its owner. When Andraste finally passed into the void it was passed along to her successor and so on and so on, the Pendant although having no real worth in the line of succession and often not going to the direct descendent of the Drast line. Normally passed to the favoured son or daughter of the previous holder, with each holder the item grew closer and closer to the Dark Side of The Force. Becoming a beacon to all those around it that this person was truly a member of that Dynasty and one of power and grace.
However like the Drast line itself the Pendant fell into obscurity with the rise of the Old Republic and its successful quash of the Sith Empire. No one is exactly sure who owned the Pendant at the time of the Sith Empire's fall or even if it still belonged to the family, all that was known is that the item disappeared into the darkness of history.
Over the millennia that has passed since the Drast's line fall rumours have surfaced across the galaxy of a cursed item. One that seems to punish any who own it, an item that when even thrown into the fires of a forge returns without a scratch, an item which seems to draw people from the darkness to gather around the holder. Many a murder has been committed for this item and more than a few dozen have been driven insane by the pendant.
But those who know, who have the power of the Dark Side and the knowledge of the Drast understand that this is not a curse but a calling. For the item wishes to return to the bloodline that created it, to once again feel the embrace of the Dark Side and the warmth of the Blood of Drast.
Intent
To create a nice new item lore for the Sith, especially those of Drast descendance. Also like the Crown of Adas, the item holds weight for one looking to take the title of Eternal, or perhaps Empress.
