The Senate, the center of organised and rational civilization, the corner stone of Sholan democracy and power. The place where all wars begin and all fights are ended. The true epicenter of everything upon Shola, that is what you find at the top of the capital hill in the city of Shol. This is where you as senators of the Sholan Republic will discuss the matters important to the people. Be it the wars we will fight, the offers we give to our gods or perhaps the penalty for treason.
It is for you to decide.

The Senate and voting mechanic is something unique to the SPOS as a faction, each member has a vote on the direction the faction takes, be it to war or to trade. They can also decide on what faction tech is written up and the voteing in of other members to the estemmed ranks of Quaestor, Aedile and Praetor. There is also going to be debates for flavor, perhaps resulting from the mission packs or perhaps a death of another senator.
Each member of the faction holds influence in the senate which equates to votes. Every PC character starts with 10 Influence and this is gained through missions and the election to one of the prized posts detailed above. They will then use their influence to sway the NPC senators to take their point of view. Every vote starts at an even 50/50 split and it is up to the players to make the true decision. All members running influence tally will be listed below;

All Senate debates will be announced here first before the thread begins so all members have the chance to make a vote on it.
The next senate meeting will be to discuss the growing danger of the Gamorrean's on the edge of Sholan space and what we should do about them. The Senate will be opening on Saturday 12th August.
