The Senator’s Ball; Corellia
The planet of Corellia, home to a great many things, fallen star destroyers, spice runners, famous pilots and a conflicted Senator. However, this chapter in Corellia’s story takes place in a magnificent penthouse, packed to the brim of guests of all species’ and affiliations, all there with one singular goal, to donate to Senator Rossana Snowell’s campaign, and to discuss what they’d like her to do in the senate.
Rossana does not like stuffy and boring donation drives so this is what she whips up. Long and loud speeches by her and her political allies become a long night of dancing and fun, voter registration becomes a large open bar, one on one deals go from closed door meetings to whispered murmurs during the tango.
The two floor party palace is located in a penthouse in Corellia’s largest city. The only way in is through the elevator from the ground floor or the landing pad, both area’s are heavily guarded to prevent any ill-intentioned folks from sneaking into the formal event. All guests must have proof of their intent to donate and discuss, ie formal wear, credits and no weapons.
The layout is pretty simple, the elevator opens up to the main space, which is halfway split between a dance floor and a dining area, where classical music fills the air from the stage right next to the dance floor, alongside aromas from the large and high quality buffet. On either side of the room there are staircases leading to the second level, where there is a bar, more tables and a locked doorway leading to the master suite, where Senator Rossana is due to spend the night after the festivities die out in the early hours of the morning. There is another staircase on the second floor, this one leads to the roof, which is a glass fence enclosed area with a landing pad and Chauffeurs eager to fly your ship to the docking area in the next building over. Yet the show stealing feature is the shield covered credit storage unit in the center of the entryway, guarded by security and one accountant, it is where all the donations of the night end up going.
Senator Snowell herself freely moves about the party, donning a shorter haircut and a sparkly silver dress with matching heels, the Senator is eager to discuss things with anyone who cares to join her. Currently, the red headed woman was greeting guests at the elevator, supping on a glass of champagne in her hand, as the few remaining folks began to arrive.
