OOC: This is a follow-up thread to Dark Heart, and takes place the next day. Any people from that thread can PM me and ask to join.

The corpse was pinned to the wall, hanging over the Temple's gates. They had been told he was an ignorant fool, a Marauder who had been killed by Acolytes. Acolytes! Jarek Telkanin, Arkanian and Acolyte of the Sith, grinned at that. He'd been a fool, and so had been killed and made an example. It just went to show that fools would be treated as such, and slain because of their mistakes. Jarek couldn't see the man, of course, because he was at the back of a very large crowd. He was a patient person, and so he could wait until the Acolytes began to trickle inside once again. For now, the Sith explaining what had happened was finishing up.

Sith were already heading back inside, chuckling to themselves and sharing inside jokes, no doubt about the idiot hanging above the walls. He would examine the person more closely once the crowd was diminished enough for him to get closer. "Man, I can't believe that this nerf-brained idiot got killed by Acolytes. I suppose it just goes to show that this next group of up-coming Sith are even greater than the previous group, huh?" Jarek commented to a random Acolyte next to him. He received a laugh and a grin in response, and Jarek smiled back. He was about a fifth of the way to the front of the crowd now. Not too much longer, and he'd see the fool who'd died. He even planned on staying until they announced his name.

"I wonder what compelled the guy to get himself killed? I mean, he may have been an idiot, but he still had a reason," he continued, still talking to the same Acolyte. He received a shrug in response, so he shut his eyes for a moment, until the crowd began to move forward again. Finally, the crowd move forward again, and he opened his eyes and followed it, being sure to stay at the back so he wouldn't be pressed inside by the other Acolytes around him. He looked ahead, only able to make out the hanging-figure's white hair and black robes. Nothing else just yet. But he'd see more soon enough.

Finally, he was able to see him clearly, the rest of the crowd completely dispersing. There were only a few small pockets of Acolytes still outside, so Jarek was able to come forward and examine the person. And the blood suddenly ran from his face. His eyes widened, and his mouth hung open, gaping. It was an Arkanian. Another Arkanian! Yet, that wasn't the only reason he was staring. Something about this Arkanian seemed familiar. The facial structure, his body size... it looked..... almost like....... Jarek couldn't believe what he was seeing, couldn't accept what the reality was, standing here before him. It looked like him.

"And so, the Arkanian and Sith Sorcerer Makkun Telkanin is here as an example. Never let idiocy guide you like it did him," finished the announcer. Jarek couldn't think. Couldn't blink. Couldn't breathe. He dropped to his knees, and received a few odd stares from the other Acolytes around him.

"Brother..." he whispered. He had a brother. He had a brother. He had a brother. He had a brother, and his brother was dead...
