Name: Jedi Master Constantine’s Table

AKA: The Tython Table

wonder_1696212793547.jpg

Description:

This 30 inch tall, 60 inch diameter table is made of a long-dead preserved Ak Tree from Tython. Inlaid on the tabletop are numerous trails of clear kyberite, making several large circular patterns and intricate writings in an unknown language. All attempts to decipher the language have failed so far. The bottom of the table top is partially hollow, where a large, clear Kyber crystal can be seen inside, held in place by ropes made of hair from an unknown, most likely extinct, species.

The Table is often utilized with a 2” by 4” by 16” perfectly smooth box made of obsidian gathered from some ancient volcano. The Box has hinges to open along its top.

When the table is activated, the kyberite as well as the Kyber crystal inside the table glow a deep purple. The area underneath the table also glows with a purple light.

Origin:

During the ancient days of the galaxy, approx 25800 BBY, Jedi master Constantine crafted the table with his students in order to create something that would help masters and padawans connect while sharing force visions. Utilizing the wood from trees on Tython, as well as kyberite harvested across the galaxy, Master Constantine created what can only be described as a masterpiece. The resulting table would be held in a Temple on Tython until the Force Wars. Afterwards, the table was kept on Ossus. Recorded information after the Great Sith War regarding the table is unreliable at best.

Abilities:

The Table itself is activated by having Force users touch the inlaid crystals, or by joining hands/limbs around the table, and opening oneself to the force. Meditative mantras are typically used during the table’s activation. The only way for Non-force users to access certain abilities of the table is by joining hands with a Force user. Once activated, no one can join in or leave the table until the action is complete.

Shared Force Visions: The most common use of the table, Tython Table acts as a helping hand in achieving Force visions for new and mature Jedi alike. Like most force visions, the results are unpredictable. The future is always in motion and can never be certain, and the past is difficult to decipher. When using the table for this effect, the user(s) tend to feel themselves leaving their own body and being absorbed into the Force, witnessing events or situations at random.

When used in tangent with other Force Users, everyone can witness the same vision. Jedi can in fact ‘share’ their force visions with non-force users who join in the table.

Normal rules for Force Visions still apply. Force Visions can be deemed inapplicable by the mods.

Mergence with the Force: By releasing all ties to the material world, a Force user can completely merge with the Force. This is basically a death of a Jedi character, but a fitting one for those who want to give their character a more revered send-off. Unlike typical Force Mergence, the body remains behind.

Call upon memories of ancient Jedi: While summoning ghosts is impossible, the memories of the ancient Force Users still linger in the Force itself. By utilizing stones gathered from a planet, held inside the box, the users at the table can call those memories into reality. The memories appear as an ethereal voice that only the users can hear and speak to. The voice never knows who they were in the past beyond being a Jedi, and it is never clear to the users who’s speaking. Both Jedi and Sith can use the table for this effect, with the memories typically aligned with whoever did the summoning. These memories might be able to grant lessons in the Force long lost to the galaxy, share insights into a particular situation, or (in the case of Sith usage) demean and mentally harm the users.

After the summoning, the stones inside the box will have turned to dust.

Last Known Location:

Rumors speak of a table matching the description of the Tython Table has been in use by a group of neutral force users traveling the galaxy in a salvaged Nau'ur-class yacht known as the “Glass Eye”. Reports vary, but it seems the force users were utilizing the table to study Force Nexuses. The ship was last seen 10 years ago nearing Dagobah before it was attacked by a pirate cruiser. Both ships reportedly crashed on Dagobah, never to be heard from again.

Intent: to create an ancient Jedi artifact that can be pursued by Jedi, to allow Jedi to share force visions with non-force users, and to allow force users access to unorthodox ways of learning from ancient Jedi. Inspiration was taken from real-life Seance Tables.

Seems interesting and a pretty unique idea as far as artifacts go. The only thing I would change is the utilization of kyber crystal dust as an inlay on the table. In current canon, kybers are essentially semi-sentient force objects and I doubt that a Jedi would willfully grind them up into dust for something like this. A sith maybe, but a Jedi would probably find alternative routes.

I think it would be as simple as changing it from a kyber inlay to something like kyberite, which is similar to kyber but not quite the same. I think it would functionally serve the same purpose (focusing the energy of the main crystal) without giving the same potential issues as using ground up actual cyber crystals.

@Logan

Good idea. Fixed so it's kyberite instead of ground up kyber crystals
