The Zann Consortium
Many years ago, when the empire still warred with the rebellion, there was a criminal empire matched by few others in the galaxy. The Zann Consortium, originally lead by Tyber Zann, spread corruption throughout many different worlds across the galaxy. Their organization specialized in black markets, piracy, and most famously racketeering. Occasionally, they would be forced to dip their toes in bribery and extortion as well, but these were on rarer occasions. They also frequently found themselves feuding with the Hutt Cartel, as Tyber Zann and Jabba the Hutt were on bad terms.

After the death of the Consortium's original leader, the title of Crime Lord would be passed down to Zann's successors, and the consortium became a family business of sorts. Unfortunately, due to a messy history of marriages and divorces, connecting one's own blood directly to Tyber Zann has been difficult. Thus far, only Tyser Zann and his daughter have made such a claim. Additionally, the organization has never reached the status it once held under Tyber's rule, as he was the most charismatic and bold leader the faction had ever seen.

In recent years, what remained of the criminal empire was either eliminated by other gangs, or crippled by an especially competent fighter (@Kotii Solus ). There were only a handful of survivors, and the organization would be taken over by @Grace Zann from her father, after he met a grim fate.

With the Consortium in more capable hands, Grace decided it was time to make themselves a force to be reckoned with once again. Thanks to the assistance of several talented individuals, their organization has gained the opportunity to grow strong once more. Most notably, @Nor'baal Desilijic the Hutt struck a deal that would allow the consortium to officially join up with the other syndicates, in exchange for a considerable fee.

Structure

Though many years ago the consortium was ran purely on the charisma of a single leader, the command structure has changed since. While the organization is far too small to have all it's positions filled, they are as follows:

  • Crime Lord. The leader of the consortium elected by the Inner Circle or passed down through the Zann family name. (@Grace Zann)

  • Inner Circle. Individuals with significant pull in the consortium, they usually oversee an entire aspect of the organization such as their fleet, recruitment, or accounting.

  • Outer Circle. Individuals who have made a name for themselves within the consortium. They usually oversee specific operations in specific parts of the galaxy, such as a consortium owned black market on a single planet.

  • Defiler. Individuals who have proven themselves to be a step above common mercenaries and pirates. Defilers are incredibly well paid contract workers who preform dangerous high-stake missions for the consortium.

Governance

As the Zann consortium has reached a larger size, it has slowly become strong enough to conquer entire planets. As such, the organization decided to create a basis for which planets can willingly join the Zann Consortium and the Five Syndicates by extension. Additionally, planets under hostile control of the Zann Consortium with populations of sentients will be under these laws.

The Zann Consortium is run politically as a confederacy, but also as a private military contractor. After a planet willingly joins or is conquered by the Zann Consortium, they will become subject to either one of two rule sets that are negotiated upon.
  • Ruleset One. Perhaps the more popular of the two options. The new world hereby agrees to compensate the Zann Consortium in a number of credits equal to that planet's previous military budget. As members of the Zann Consortium, these credits will be used to grow the Zann's military forces and will guarantee military protection provided by the Zann Consortium and it's allies. Planets who choose this ruleset may still maintain any local laws they have in place, but must sacrifice their military forces in exchange for the Consortium's.

  • Ruleset Two. The less popular of the two options. The new world hereby agrees to allow members of both the Zann Consortium and Five Syndicates to do business on their world. This business cannot be monitored by local police forces, and members of the Five Syndicates cannot be arrested unless the Zann Consortium is first contacted and agrees to the arrest. Additionally, Zann Consortium military forces may be stationed at any military facility on the planet, no prior notice needed. As members of the Zann Consortium, credits gained through business ventures on the world will be used to grow the Zann's military forces and will guarantee military protection.
Controlled Worlds:
  • Kowak (No Ruleset, Total Control. Formerly uninhabited)
  • Hypori (No Ruleset, Total Control. Formerly uninhabited)
  • Pzob (Ruleset One. Lightly Inhabited)

Membership

@Grace Zann (Crime Lord)
@Kist Ke'kolu (Outer Circle)
@Mae Tecono (Outer Circle)
@Tyr'din Selm (Outer Circle and Body Guard)
@Xol Zaa Fenn (Outer Ciricle)
@Raanil Chal (Defiler)
@Harleen (Defiler)
@Slick (Defiler)

Intent

The primary intent of the Zann Consortium is to bring a Legends faction into the fanon of the site. Mentions of the Zann Consortium have been made by various characters throughout the site for some time, so bringing them in only feels natural. Additionally, the Consortium will attempt to join the five syndicates as a sub-faction of sorts. This will boost the player base for the syndicates who are steadily behind the Jedi and Sith. Finally, the consortium specializes in arms dealing, illegal tech, racketeering, and piracy above other ventures, this makes them unique from other criminal organizations which mainly focus on the spice or slave trade.

As a side note, the organization will still use the Five Syndicate Rank-up structure for PvP/PvE purposes. The Consortium's structure is for in-character interaction only, and will not reflect PvP/PvE capabilities of those characters.

Hi there. Write-up looks fine. Can you create an `Assets` section in the write-up, so we have an idea of what all the faction has? Even after this would be approved, it can be updated over time as they would be acquired in threads.

Tag me when that is done and I'll take another look. And if all checks out I'll sign off on this @Where

@The Good Doctor , I have added an asset section as requested. I am aware the Zann Consortium Vanguard has not been approved yet. I can remove them if you prefer, but they are essentially a base template for Zann Consortium NPCs.

Sorry for the late response.

Anyways, it would best to remove the link to the unapproved artifcle from the write-up. You can instead say for now they are generic mercenaries. It can be linked when the write-up is approved.

And while you are at it can you give a number of said npcs? Since the faction is just starting out, i'm seeing only a low number of NPCs being plausible for now, until you get more in the rp.
