1 standard month.

An Mynock-series freighter with stock specifications can reach 70 MGLT maximum acceleration, and has decent maneuvering characteristics.

    • 1x aft dual light laser ball turret.
EQUIPMENT

DESCRIPTION
Republic Fleet Systems, at one time one of the Galaxy's most prolific warship manufacturers, has been reduced to a shadow of its former self over the last 5 centuries. Since the Sith takeover of the Galactic Republic, the company's special relationship with the government has effectively ended, being supplanted by the Sith-backed Imperial Fleet Works corporation. Republic Fleet Systems has nevertheless managed to stay in business, primarily by transferring most of it marketing and product development to commercial sales rather than military. Due to its status as a remnant of the old Republic era, and the use some of its products have been put to by less reputable elements of the spacer community, the company has acquired something of a "bad boy" reputation.

One of the company's better known civilian offerings is the Mynock-series freighter, a fast cargo transport which has become a staple of courier services and smugglers alike. 30 meters in length, it can carry up to 20 standard tons of cargo and can achieve a stock top speed of about 70 MGLT, not enough to outrun most starfighters but still impressive. It can nominally be operated by a single pilot, but a copilot is required to do things like operate the ship's defensive ball turret, which is located at the rear of the ship to better fend off pursuing vessels. The Mynock can carry up to 4 passengers in addition to the crew.

The Mynock is renowned for its speed and versatility, being the freighter of choice for hot-shot pilots the Galaxy over. As mentioned, it is popular with courier services transporting small amounts of high-value cargo, and with smugglers moving the same sort of thing. The type is often modified by the latter group, and customized Mynocks are a common sight in and around less reputable spaceports.

LEGALITY
Legal. Mynock-class freighters are a common sight across the Galaxy, and they are considered innocuous enough in most systems. Customized examples may draw slightly more scrutiny from authorities, however.

INTENT
To create a standard type of light freighter one might encounter on the starlanes.

ADVANCED TECH
No. Mynock-class freighters are fairly common, and would be simple to buy, steal or otherwise acquire.

Once upon a time
There was a Vahla
A wandering soul
Lost in the realm of our kingdom
They say he was a Jedi
Who fought a great war
When the Sith came into our Galaxy
And burned everyone with a roar

Once upon a time
There was a world
A beautiful one
Surrounded in the darkness of an ancient war
They say there was a warrior
This wandering soul
Who's cursed by a Sorceress
Forever to watch his own realm rise and fall

NAME: Dane Rodarch
TITLE: Kalyr (Master) Dane Rodarch, the Morning Star
FACTION: Mandalorians
RANK: Marauder

SEX: Male
AGE: 26
SPECIES: Zabrak (Nightbrother)
HOME PLANET: Dathomir
HEIGHT: 6ft
WEIGHT: 200lbs
FORCE SENSITIVE: Negative

THEME: Resistance by Skillet

Personality
"There are few more hardened or honorable than the Morning Star. He is a haunted man, however. Haunted by his own misdeeds."

Dane is a soft-hearted man, riddled with terrible decisions and the resulting quirks and flaws left him reliant on a variety of illegal drugs. Just barely qualifying as a functioning drunk, he is still a productive member of society. He hates himself more than any other being in the Galaxy. He constantly reminds himself of his many mistakes and sins, trying to ensure that he never commits them again. This has resulted in a hard demeanor, rarely cracking into the humor-filled and happy man he was in his youth.

He views the Mandalorians as the only trustworthy freedom fighters in a galaxy filled with ignorant denizens. Mandalore and its people do not hide their lust for battle and war behind lies and deceit as the two Empires do. No, they are open and honest as to their capacity for violence. As such, Dane connects with their mindset more than any other.

For the most part, he detests criminals and will stop or detain them if he can. Crime has its place - anywhere he isn't around. The only exception is the spice trade, his main supplier for his stress relievers. His criminal past has also left him prone to flashbacks and fits of anger or guilt. As such, he avoids anything that reminds him of his past like the plague.

He is also an extremely creative soul. From his craft and combat style to the very armor he wears, he is unique and stands out from the crowd. Although he is quite disciplined with the practice of Teras Kasi, his main passion and drive are that of creation and protection, appearing to want nothing more than some quiet to continue honing his crafts. But to those who can break past his exterior, he is a witty and extremely caring man, more content out risking his life on the battlefield than cooped up in some workshop.

Skills and Abilities
"Kalyr Dane. A member of the few, and proud, Masters of Teras Kasi. His hand to hand combat skills are fearsome, to say the least."

Dane is first and foremost renowned for his skills and abilities in Hand to Hand combat. Next to none can better his unarmed combat styles, varying from close proximity punches and kicks to rapid and swift acrobatic attacks. He is also quite capable with a plethora of melee weapons, from the blade to a chain-whip. His training was quite thorough, leaving him able to grapple as well as counter the physical blows of his opponents.

Secondarily, he is proficient with long range blasters. After having worked on the energy-based weapons for quite some time, he began practicing on his own, learning the way a rifle works before ever firing it in the field. The greater understanding he has for the weapons he utilizes has resulted in decent accuracy with blasters. There are few he cannot handle, but he requires time to decypher weapons before he can use them well enough.

Thirdly, he is an aspiring salvager and weaponsmith. Although he has spent much more time smithing weapons, he is capable of taking apart most of anything, so long as he has the right tools. The same can be said for crafting and smithing weapons of many varieties, from explosives to vibroblades. He commissions his craft at varying costs, and is considered a terrific custom smith among the few who independently practice the craft.

Biography
Dane Rodarch was born a Zabrak offshoot on the witch-planet of Dathomir. His clan was considered relatively weakened compared to the others the Witches took for mates, leading to the clan becoming large and docile, more prone to harvesting that combat. Dane was one of such harvesters, a farmer at heart and in hand. He tended the crops of his homestead, with his "brothers" and "sisters" doing a variety of other chores to keep the budding village on its feet and independent of the Nightsisters. Always considered a quippy and upbeat individual, at a young age he was given an enormous amount of responsibility. Turning to manage a Homestead among many, older and more successful members of the clan was too stress-inducing for the young lad, eventually, he turned to spices and alcohol to cope. This evidently began taking tolls on him in both his professional life and social status. Becoming reclusive and volatile, the boy was quickly disregarded and replaced. No one his age dare associate with the "druggie, addict, waste of space".

Dane managed to stomach a few months of his Clan's distaste before finally cracking, leaving the village behind after stealing whatever he could sell. This included spacer gear, a pistol, as well as many valuables from the village Elders and residents. They never looked for him or sent men to collect their possessions, so Dane simply carried on. Eventually, after the wastes of Dathomir had taken its toll on the drifter, he began to collapse, certain of his death. But he instead, awoke inside a starship. A pirate gang had saved him, and in return for his life, he would join their ranks. So he stole, murdered and plundered his way into a decent living. The pirate gang soon saw their investment pay off tenfold, Dane had become one of their best members, so long as he got his pay. He had spent a good portion of his credits on gear and weapons, as well as the training of a Teras Kasi Master. Still, they forced sobriety on him, amused at how anguished he became at the tasks he performed. He was surrounded by company, but ultimately alone, wallowing in pity and self-hatred.

Finally, he and his company returned to Dathomir. They asked him to seek out his village, as they would take whatever valuables they had and ransom them off as slaves. Dane argued against slavery, and so the Captain agreed to simply take what they wanted and leave the villagers be. So, as he was told, he guided the Pirates to the village. His former clansmen recognized him instantly, calling at him in anger. As though to punctuate the guilt, the Pirates betrayed their word and began mercilessly killing the Villagers. If they had their way, no-one would have survived. Not man, woman or child. But they didn't have their way. Dane fought the Pirates alone. After being riddled with blaster marks, draining every energy pack his blaster could hold and having bent his sword in, he and the Captain stood alone. Both were bereft of weapons, but they still fought like animals. Dane, now exhausted, wrestled for control of a Vibro-Greatsword, bringing it down on his opponent's head even as the sun rose. This earned him the moniker "The Morning Star".

He once again gave into his spice and alcohol addiction, claiming the Pirate's vessel as his own, he left Dathomir behind once more. Being a mercenary didn't stick well with Dane, as it reminded him too much of his past. He instead turned to salvage, repairing and selling weapons. He became a relatively good weaponsmith, creating custom weapons and armor for anyone who was willing to pay, otherwise selling his junkyard weapons to passersby who had little credits to their name. Then, quite by accident, he entered a brawl over illegal weapons smuggling, facing off against a Mandalorian. After proving his innocence, and beating the snot out of the Mando'a in question, he was invited to join their clan, an invitation he reluctantly accepted. Now, he works to continue freeing the Galaxy, righting his own sins in the process.

Arms and Armor

Armor:
Medium Beskar'gam-
This Armor is colored white and gold, adorned with a pale cape as well as the symbol of Mandalore. The White symbolizes purity of heart, as well as a deep devotion to the Mandalorian cause. The Gold symbolizes his penance, as well as his lust for vengeance.

Melee Weapons:
Sword of the Morning -
This hefty Vibro-Greatsword is a rare and enlarged version of regular vibroblades found throughout the Galaxy. It is unique in its ability to cleave through most of anything through sheer force and requires extensive practice to wield effectively in combat. Dane utilizes it as his primary form of melee engagement.

Vibroknucklers -
These blunted weapons are most commonly utilized when Dane engages in close quarter combat with any opponent. Mainly used to protect his knuckles, as per the name, they add extra force to his strikes.

Ranged Weapons:
Shriek Hawk Blaster Rifle -
A highly customized blaster rifle he acquired during his first travels. It has been a longtime companion and is thus taken care of and honed accordingly.

Ships:
VT110 Light Freighter -
This ship was once property to pirates in the Outer Rim, but has now come into the possession of Dane and is utilized as his form of transportation, as well as his temporary residence.

    NAME: Oridian Korde
    AGE: 29

    SPECIES: Human

    FACTION: Deucalians
    RANK: Raider

    HEIGHT: 1.78 m
    WEIGHT: 72.5 kg
    HAIR COLOR: Brown
EYE COLOR: Brown (Blue discoloration due to pupil damage in left eye)
Oridian Korde (also known by his anointed name, Seidhr) is a Deucalian raider of lowborn standing. Having been born on the frozen wastes of one among many artic planets to a single mother, and having been abandoned by his father, the frail and delicate Oridian barely survived through infancy.

While his parents did love each other, their marriage didn't last, and Uhtred was periodically raised in portions of his live as both a Mandalorian and as a Deucalian. Although bearing close ties to both sides of his family, Uhtred took more strongly to his half-siblings on his mother's side, identifying more with Clan Wardruna than he did with Clan Vau. It was during his early adolescence, Uhtred first came to forge an especially close bond with his maternal uncle, Ysgramor Uriksbane.

As he grew older, Uhtred developed into a restless and blood-burned warrior. However, by the same token, it was as Uhtred grew older that he discovered he was seldom seen as true a brother by either of his people; to the Mandalorians he grew up around, Saren appeared little more than a ruffian and an undisciplined brawler, while to the Deucalians, Uhtred seemed like a pretender that did not yet know what honor meant, nor certain if he had any to claim in the first place.

This crossroads between both of his heritages caused Uhtred to fully devote and identify himself as being part of one group at the expense of the other; while still acknowledging the people of his father and the name he was born with according to his father's people, Uhtred decided to place himself in the sights of Sáldœm and meet his doom, or be judged by the Burning One.

While considering himself more Deucalian than Mandalorian, Uhtred ultimately chose to leave his family on Ando Prime and instead became a companion to his uncle, following the Battle of the Silverite Citadel, which saw Deucalian civilization fracture almost to the point of collapse. While deeply concerned that his people and the people of his mother appear to be on the verge of destroying themselves, Uhtred has decided to moreso rely and focus on himself, his personal honor, and to satisfy himself in discovering for.himself what it means to be a warrior, to be honorable, and to be a Deucalian.
