NAME: Tiberias "Tiber" Carid

FACTION: Mandalorian

RANK: Marauder

SPECIES: Human

AGE: 23

GENDER: Male

HEIGHT: 182 cm

WEIGHT: 88 kg

FORCE SENSITIVE: No

APPEARANCE:
While his face has never been shown to any outsider on account of him rarely removing his buy'ce, Tiberias has sharply cut facial features and a distinct, somewhat emotionally detached face with small but noticeable vertical lines down the sides of his mouth. His eyes are narrow, green, and watchful, his mouth is thin, pressed together to the point it seems almost permanently closed. He has a sharp nose that looks like it might have been broken at some point. His hair is cut short, dark brown in color. He has a tattoo on the side of his neck of a mythosaur crawling its way up from his shoulder.

Tiberias has a well toned body, with very little hint of excessive fat, and very noticeable bulk, chiseled muscles adorned with several scars from blaster wounds and cuts. His skin was once tanned from the sun of Concord Dawn, but is now on the paler side of the spectrum due to his life within his beskar'gam.

ATTRIBUTES:

Combat: Tiberias is a soldier through and through. He conditions his body with constant physical strain, and maintains his combat abilities as far as he's mastered them. He is a skilled hand to hand fighter, and works well in the middle of a battlefield with a blaster rifle or pistol. While a skilled marksman, he is no elite sniper; if he has to take wind currents into account to make a shot, he is likely to skip the shot and call in air support instead. As a battle hardened soldier, he knows also that in battle, it might be more useful to fire a lot of shots and hit nothing, than to fire one shot and kill one enemy. Fighting with long melee weapons such as swords or vibrostaffs is not his forte, and he will be at a definite disadvantage. Vibroknives are an exception as they are useful in hand to hand combat.

Non combat: Tiberias has some knowledge of battlefield first aid, though usually that boils down to slapping a tourniquet on the wounded and wait for a medevac. He has some basic to medium level of knowledge of technology and mechanics, enough to repair his spaceship, but not enough to rig it to override the need for hyperspace coordinates prior to a jump. He has advanced knowledge of munitions, and is capable of field stripping, cleaning and reassembling any common military weapon in the Mandalorian arsenal. He does not do diplomacy, unless it's the gunboat kind. As far as piloting goes, he is a strict transport pilot, and does not do combat maneuvers or dogfights. However, he does have some medium to advanced knowledge of logistics and supply line upkeep in a warzone application.

PERSONALITY:
Tiberias was raised a Mandalorian. There is no life to him outside of the Mandalorian Code. As with many Mandalorians, the line between his job as a soldier and his life as a human has disappeared. War is his life, or rather, the life of a soldier is his life. He has very few extracurricular interests that does not simply serve to prepare him better for his next battle. As such, his personality is rather dry and impersonal, and he is a man of few words.

He is a calculating man; as a soldier, he is constantly surveying his surroundings, searching for possible shelter or escape routes. Relaxing is hard for him when he is not surrounded by other Mandalorians, but it manifests itself not in tension or fear but rather an impenetrable wall of stoicism. He rarely lets anyone in close; even among Mandalorians he counts few true close friends. However, he is a man of honor and is always ready to help those in need, or risk his life for the honor of Mandalore. He can be ruthless when he needs to be, but merciful when he can afford to show it.

BIOGRAPHY:

Tiberias was born on Concord Dawn to Iberias Carid, a farmer, and Tiamat Carid, a female Mandalorian Supercommando. His mother was often away on duty on the Mandalorian frontlines during his youngest years, leaving him to be raised by his father. While his father taught him combat as was the Mandalorian way, he also taught him farmwork at their homestead, as was the way of Clan Carid, traditionally one whose members were counted among farmers and homesteaders.

His father, being thirty years older than his mother, died of age related causes when Tiberias was a mere ten years old. Iberias was buried with honor by his wife, son, friends and family, in a traditional Mandalorian burial ritual. Tiberias mother was returned from active duty for a month long leave to get her affairs in order. Tiberias was put into the care of her older brother, Sheraf, like his sister once a Supercommando, when his mother was returned to active duty at the end of her leave.

These years were the most impactful on Tiberias' future life as a Mandalorian. Sheraf taught him the way of the Supercommando, put him under gruelling physical and combat training from dawn till dusk to prepare him for the life ahead. Every nightfall by the firepit outside his homestead, he told the young boy war stories from his days of glory, stories that Tiberias took to like a sponge to water.
His mother visited regularly when her duty allowed for it, taking time to instruct him in his duties and obligations as a Mandalorian, instructing him in the Code, and in how to act as a soldier in the heat of war.

The day came in time when Tiberias turned fifteen, and faced his own first duty station. Attached to a Mandalorian shock infantry battalion, he was sent into battle to fight the enemies of Mandalore, the hated Sith and their Imperial lapdogs. He was baptisted in the flames of war against the Imperial stormtroopers. His choice was the same as that of many others like him; learn, adapt, and overcome, or die a raw recruit.

Over the course of the next few years, Tiberias did exactly that; he learned, he adapted his combat techniques and he overcame his limitations. Into battle walked a boy, and out walked a hardened Mandalorian marauder, stoicism on his face in the form of the anonymous, black T-shaped visor of the Mandalorian people.

He saw his mother on occasion, but most of the time, their duties took them far away from each other, as duty often did. And duty always came first, with family a close second. To this day they still message frequently, each focused on doing their duty for their people, and waging war on their enemies to protect their family on Concord Dawn.
