Kol Tulsi

Born and raised (shortly) on Alderaan, Kol Tulsi was discovered by the Jedi Order at the early age of 6. He, along with other younglings, began studying at the nearest Jedi Temple . Here he met a female student, Korang Ar with whom he quickly bonded. At the age of 13, Jedi Master Saxo Dayn took him in as his Padawan Learner.
Saxo Dayn, 12 years Kol's senior, first took him to the planet of Ilum to construct a lightsaber of his own – with Saxo's guidance, he was successful before long and Kol had constructed his green lightsaber. Saxo Dayn began teaching him his understanding of the force and helped Kol refine his skills with a lightsaber by bringing him on missions, given to him by the Jedi Council – as was the norm.
Saxo Dayn taught his student in the saber-art of Soresu – as this demanded Kol to practice his meditation, for Soresu is the most inward directed of all forms – a form Kol mastered. Saxo himself was not a student of the Third Art, as he was quick to anger and favored the aggressive art of Ataru.
Kol Tulsi was granted the rank of Jedi Knight at the age of 28.
During their training, Kol and Korang had begun developing feelings for each other and soon got involved in a secret romantic relationship. Although, as they were both Padawan under two seperate Masters, they drifted apart and it didn't take long for all contact to be lost.
Over the next years Jedi Knight Kol Tulsi took on diplomatic missions for the Jedi Council, as well as escorting and peacekeeping missions. Kol himself took a Padawan three years after being knighted.
After participating as a combatant in the Hundred-Year Darkness, he made a bad judgment call, which resulted in the death of his Padawan. It was the first and only Padawan he took under his wing.
Kol Tulsi was sent on a mission, in which he was to lead a small scale assault on an enemy outpost alongside his old Master, Saxo Dayn – Kol's respect for his old Master had only grown since he became his Padawan – Kol was happy to be working side-by-side with him again.
Sadly, everything went wrong…
When Kol returned to report to the Jedi Council he learned, that Saxo had never returned. Master Saxo Dayn had never returned to the Council. Shortly after, Kol left the Jedi Temple in secret and left the planet on a cargo ship. Kol Tulsi had his own mission now – to learn what has happened to his old Master…
Kol is not an Exile, neither does he indentify as a part of the Jedi Order. He still serves the Light Side of the Force, but he is on his own path.
Years have passed since then – the Jedi Council has not heard a word from Kol Tulsi since.

Kol Tulsi is a broken man – having trouble dealing with the acts of war, he has turned to drinking to numb the flashbacks he so often has.
He believes in doing good, and supports the Jedi – yet he has not been in contact with the Council in years. He has his own personal mission to find his old Master – that is his priority. He has since the war had mixed feelings about the Exiles – while still believing they are evil and self-centered, he also thinks, that not all Exiles are the same; some must have valid motivations – even though he doesn’t agree with their ways. Kol believes the Force is bigger than what the Jedi and Exiles believe, he hopes to learn more on his own path.
Due to his last mission, he has trouble trusting new people as well as himself to some extent – he is not entirely sure what to believe. For this reason he tends to isolate himself to some degree. His drinking does not do him any favors in that regard.
