"Onderon defenders might have been able to safeguard the planet from Sith subjugation, but heartbreaking news tonight, as it has been confirmed that the bodies of King Hakan and Cassian Graves were reported amongst the planet's dead early this morning. Their bodies were discovered outside of the Royal Palace of Iziz, and it is believed that they were killed during the battle at the hands of the Sith Lord, Darth Raze. Multiple eye witnesses have come forward to corroborate this report, and it is believed that the royal family was also present, but they have declined to speak with us at this time.
"Both King Hakan and Cassian Graves were well loved by the citizens of Onderon, even though many rumors suggested that the pair did not have a good working relationship. Their deaths are a shocking tragedy to the citizens of a planet already reeling from the devastating attack that left countless dead and destroyed many of the capital's oldest structures, including a large section of Iziz's renowned wall.
"Prince Weylin, the King's eldest son, has declared a national month of mourning in honor of their deaths. The King is survived by his three children—his two sons, Prince Weylin and Prince Aramis, and his only daughter, Princess Reyna. A coronation ceremony for King Weylin is expected to be performed shortly after the month of mourning has passed, and he will assume the title and responsibilities of his late father. Cassian Graves is survived by his mother, who currently resides on Zeltros. Funeral services are pending."
Elora sighed quietly to herself, blue fingers fidgeting with the papers in front of her. Now they were getting to the good part—the kind of exclusive, breaking story that could make her career. Maybe she'd be treated like a real journalist after this and not be forced to peddle meaningless gossip on Celebrity Catch. "This, however, is a first." The Pantoran held up a data stick for viewers to see, yellow irises sparkling with excitement. "This was delivered to the Hyperlane Herald by one of the Consul's closest confidants, who prefers to remain anonymous. It is a dossier, that the Consul directed his associate to turn over to the Hyperlane Herald in the event of his death. We present it to you now, this never before seen info. The contents of the data stick appeared on screen for viewers to see, while simultaneously being uploaded to the Hyperlane Herald's Switter account.
