Brainstorm Bullets:
*Big Wormy, Whale-y, dragonish, Evil-Purrgil-ey type bad guy -- really large
*Iridium infused and plated scales? Hide? chitin?
*Consumes purrgil lightspeed energy to live indefinitely... how you ask? Same way Palpy came back..one bit of throwaway dialogue, "dark science, sith magic." JK, it's gonna make more sense.

Story:
*An Old or High Republic Jedi ran into a purrgil... literally? Sure. maybe. The collision or kerfuffle resulted in him being thrown from his chair, pinned against a bulkhead, something, and he is forced to have his leg amputated (our villain is an exercise in 'what would have happened if Ahab had succeeded?'). Phantom limb drives him mad. He obsesses over finding the thing "that did this to him." When he does, he kills it and drinks it's blood. After he eats, over the course of a few days, his limb grows back. The taint and hunger of the darkside overtakes him and he begins the ultimate hunt.

On the run from the Jedi Order, he commissions pirates and hunters to bring back live prey and draws the first settlers to Lysatra to facilitate the harvest. Only fully-charged and unspoiled blood-fuel can facilitate the regenerative properties of the animal but the rest of the purrgil's bone, flesh, etc. is used for building his new body. A biomechanical mass of repurposed purrgil flesh, iridium struts and plating, and a fuel converter. In order to operate Sekteth had to infuse himself with it (think an amalgam of Palpatine hooked up to the botched cloning tech, Darth Scion, Maul on The Junk World, etc.

*Over the centuries, he builds the creature, then communes with it. The Leviathan rips itself from under Lysatra's crust and spends eons as the unnatural predator of the Purrgil.

*He has started another whaling civilization on the next planet we find evidence on. They worship him, he'd brought them wealth and prosperity -- Rance has moments of doubts. Him and his master discuss the finer points of the greater good and the costs entailed with building large civilizations.
