INFORMATION

APPEARANCE

APPEARANCE

Trini Halrixien is a 23-year-old Amaran female. She stands about 1.2 meters in height, and weighs about 26 kilograms, with khaki-colored fur, brown markings and a white undercoat. She also has large, sensitive ears and a bottle-brush tail, as well as naturally brown hair and yellow-orange eyes. Her hair is usually dyed a dark green. In terms of garments, Trini generally wears cargo shorts and a white or green undershirt, with some sort of jacket or button-up shirt over top. To correct nearsightedness, Trini wears a pair of oval-shaped frame-less prescription glasses.

Of note, Trini bears a vertical burn scar on her right cheek, just underneath her eye. She received it in combat with a female Sith during the bombing of the Sector Rangers headquarters on Coruscant.
BIOGRAPHY

BIOGRAPHY

Trini Halrixien is - or until recently, was - a graduate student at the University of Rudrig, a college in the Tion Cluster. Hailing from the remote world of Kaon in the Back Spiral, Trini excelled at academics during her youth, becoming one of the first members of her family to attend university. Receiving her bachelor's degree in pre-High Republic history, the young Amaran chose to enroll in post-graduate studies, hoping to start a career in xenoarchaeology.

As part of her studies, Trini applied to join an expedition to the planet Raxus Prime, an ancient junk world. The expedition, led by the acclaimed Professor James Holworth, was slated to dig down to the deepest levels of the planet's junk-heaps, uncovering strata of garbage that predated the Ruusan Reformation. Trini, whose doctoral thesis was on the stagnation of Galactic technology, was eager to get out in the field and put her theories to the test with an examination of Old Republic artifacts.

Being accepted for the expedition, Trini traveled to Raxus Prime with the rest of the team, but found that her assignment was very different from what she envisioned. On Raxus Prime, Trini, rather than working on the excavations, was assigned as a transport driver for the dig site. Unfortunately, this work kept the Amaran away from most of the major discoveries, and she was only able to examine bits of technology and other artifacts after they had been picked over by the other grad students. Trini's thesis was beginning to suffer as a result, and she took out her frustration on her other work, flying the expedition's repulsorcraft at high speed through the dangerous junk canyons on her way to and from the nearest settlement. She grew to be a competent pilot, a skill that would soon serve her well...

It was during the last few days of the excavation that, in an especially deep excavation, down in a strata that predated the Republic itself, something amazing was discovered. The next few days had been spent getting the device - some sort of ancient computer system - up out of its strata and into the camp for analysis. After a day of poking and prodding, the thing was deemed in good enough shape to be hooked up to a power source, and analysis began.

Shortly after, the system began transmitting a strange signal, and within hours, the bandits arrived.

They came out of the junk fields, riding swoops and airspeeders, and asked no questions. Blaster fire cut down students, professors and hired hands, the raiders not heeding offers of surrender or pleas for mercy. Trini, small enough to be missed in the chaos, was able to take a repulsortruck and escape the scene, fleeing into the canyons....

SKILLS

SKILLS

Trini Halrixien is an academic, a grad student with a degree in pre-High Republic history and working on her doctoral thesis, which posits that Galactic technology has essentially not advanced since the days of the Old Republic. Trini is well versed on engineering principles, and even has a little practical application under her belt, having done archaeological field work and having had to survive in the scrap metal wastes of Raxus Prime, on the run from the mysterious bandits who slaughtered her expedition. Trini is also a more than fair pilot, having learned to fly airspeeders and now getting the hang of spacecraft.
