Corruption And Creation

Throughout the galaxy there are those who worship gods. They find comfort in the knowledge and in the understanding that a greater power is watching over them. The Scorekeeper, Arasuum, Kad Ha'rangir and Hod Ha'ran were just some of the deities believed to be such Gods. Guiding the paths of their followers as a parent guides an infant. There are however those who do not share in the belief that their are greater forces at play, a being or group of beings that are far more powerful than themselves. These men and women seek to upset the balance by playing god themselves, attempting to make changes in the cosmos that no mere mortal should ever attempt. Worst of all however was that every so often, these people succeeded in their endeavours, truly changing the galaxy forever more. One such Man/Woman was XYZ a Sith Lord/Lady who's mastery of Sith Alchemy allowed him to begin manipulating and create horrifying beasts who's very existence could upset the fragile pecking order of the universe.

XYZ's main focus was the manipulation of certain species genetic make up. Initially most of the Sith's experiments resulted in failure. In part, this was down to the inexperience he/she had in this field and despite being the subject matter expert on this practice at the time where XYZ attempted to push advancements, it was clear than natures natural order would push back against Him/Her. In fact, He/she was the only expert on this practice at the time, in the more civilian sciences - this kind of tampering was heavily frowned upon, with even the idea of cloning being a somewhat grey area. XYZ was specifically targeting two races in particular; the spiritualistic warrior culture of the Kaleesh and the reptilian hunters of Trandosha. Both species had evolved in a manor the befitted their cultural heritage but what was interesting to XYZ was just how compatible these two species were, each one mimicking the flaws of the other. As his success began to increase, he had to put his creations to the test, pitting them against some of the most powerful, terrifying and bloodthirsty creatures that the galaxy had to offer. His experiments became his obsession, until one day - He just vanished.

Some say that his obsessions with genetic manipulations saw him eventually turn to himself for further experimentation, attempting to splice his own DNA with that of his creations. Others say that he went into hiding after being cast out of the order for experiments that even they could not allow. Maybe they were right, but there has always been a part of me that wondered... What if he had succeeded? What if he had finally successfully created the ultimate PREDATOR.
A Not So Humble Begining

Appearance, Personality and Beliefs

IMG_20170903_132610.jpg
Name Here is a both tall and muscular bipedal humanoid who's unnatural creation leaves much open to debate regarding his heritage. It is believed however that Name Here is a mixture of two species; the first being Trandoshan and the second being Kaleesh. Name Here has a distinguishable size and although he is shorter than the average Trandoshan he dwarfs the Kaleesh species, even those considered "large" for their size. His skin is slightly rougher, and thicker than is to be expected, but what is surprising is that he does not seem to share the same scaled skin as either the Trandoshan or Kaleesh do. Never the less it's colouration is a reddish, brown colour not to dissimilar to the colours seen throughout the Kaleesh. Name Here's appendages seem as though they have formed the distinctive claw like nails of both species with his hands comprised of three digits and a thumb and his feet comprised of five toes.

It seems as though Name Here inherited much of the Kaleesh's bone structure, with his face featuring the stereotypical flat nose and tusks. The ears however are more reptilian in nature and are hidden under a large mane of dreadlock like hair which seems to have been born of the Sith Alchemy used to create him. Much like the Kaleesh Name Here also has thermal pits under his eyes, making him adept at seeing in the dark. Across his body Name Here opts for a lighter approach to armour, with much of his body being exposed. Upon his face, a simple but functional mask sits menacing and emotionless.

Name Here's creation led to a number of defects within his body. For the most part, these defects have been rectified by a set of generic cybernetic implants, helping his body to function where it would otherwise of failed. One defect that was unable to be fixed however is lack of a normal voice box. This has subsequently led to Name Here's vocabulary being limited to teeth chattering snarls. He has also developed the ability to roar, something that is far more animal than humanoid in origin and leaves those who meet him wondering if it truly was only two species that XYZ had been experimenting with.

Unlike most inhabitants of the Galaxy Name Here's life was unintended and for that reason nature had no place where he truly fit. He was neither Kaleesh or Trandoshan, and although these cultures allowed him to walk among them for a time his differences eventually scared people. Forced to live a nomadic lifestyle and live of the land, he became very self reliant and a skilled hunter, never forgetting those who had cast him out into the cold, lonely night. Name Here has a diverse and complex personality that is certainly surprising. He is by no means the monstrous, soulless, bloodthirsty killing machine that one might expect when looking at him. It is true that there is certainly a part of him that displays these traits, but as he has grown and evolved as a hunter and warrior, he has learnt to understood the sport in a fair hunt and the honour in a fair fight. There is also a slightly creepier and tender side to Name Here, one that has developed during his time with various animals and one that he still does not fully understand how to deal with. He shares an affinity and kinship with animals that is born of his fearless nature.

The darker side of Name Here's personality is one that not many people live to speak about. His obsession with those which he hunts in insatiable, and leads him to constantly aiming for bigger, stronger, faster, deadlier and more legendary targets. He has an anger that can't be sated once it has begun and exhibits a temper with a very, short fuse.

His constant rejection by the outside world has made him avoid heavily populated areas, opting to work/hunt in the wilderness if at all possible. Despite this preference, he will at times find himself forced onto these worlds to track a target. A natural ability to climb combined with his powerful and athletic body, he successfully tracks his targets from the shadows using the tops of buildings and other structures to navigate unseen.

Name Here will often take trinkets and trophies from his kills, which he uses to decorate the walls of his ship and home in an artistically sadistic display of death.
Equipment and Miscellaneous

An adept hunter, needs an equally adept and versatile arsenal, something that Name Here has managed to craft and obtain during his years living out in the wider galaxy. Name Here prefers the use of more traditional weapons but will use a blaster if the hunt dictates.

Ceremonial Dagger/Skinning Knife - This blade is a last resort weapon and is something that Name Here will rarely use in combat. Its blade is comprised of two prongs, upon a ceremonial bone hilt. It is roughly twenty-eight centimetres in length and slides into a sharpening sheath that runs down the upper right thigh of Name Heres leg.

Glaive - One of Name Heres favoured weapons and a deadly one at that. In essence, the weapon is very similar to that of a double ended sword but with a number of noticeable differences. The blades on the Glaive are far shorter than that of a sword, where as the handle is far larger. This means that the weapon can generate far more power with is hacking, slicing and thrusting motions, but loses it's ability to be an effective duelling weapon. Name Here favours speed, dodging and countering his opponents attacks who are sometimes far larger than he is, making this weapon a perfect partner for him.

Clawed Shuriken - This is Name Heres ranged weapon of choice. Fast and deadly it it's spinning motion makes it far superior to that of a regular throwing knife and although the Shuriken will not be overly affective against heavily armoured opponent, it will easily slice through an opponents light armour. Due to the way the mechanism opens Name Here can also use this weapon in melee range, however its effectiveness is very limited. Name Here carries a total of four of these weapons, their position located around the back portion of his belt where they are securely fastened.

Telescoping Spear - Balanced, accurate and deadly are three perfect words to describe this weapon. Name Here uses this as both a secondary Melee weapon and a ballistic javelin. Much like the glaive, this weapon is powerful when used to stab and thrust into a target, its smaller point able to penetrate armour far more effectively. In terms of its use when sparring an opponent, it can be used much like any bo-staff and will hold its own due to the composition of metals used within its blade. Name Here carries a total of two of these weapons, both of which are clipped securely onto the left side of his belt.
scar+weapons+2.jpg
Net Launcher - Blah The big bad brother of the Whipcord launcher, the net launcher fires a strong wire net at a target with enough force to pin them to a wall or the ground. When unable to attach itself to an object the net envelops the target and can be remotely tightened causing grievous wounds.

Wrist Blades - Name Here realised that one of the most useful functions on the market right now, was that of the Wrist Blade. Deadly in close quarters combat it shines as one of his most useful items of equipment. The bonus of it being attached to his body, rather than requiring a grip to hold it, means that he can continue to use this weapon when pain may have otherwise got the best of him. It is also useful in the unlikely event they he gets disarmed from one of his more regularly used weapons.

DESCRIPTION
Describe your weapon in more detail here. What features does it have? Does it have a scope, a folding stock, or a grenade launcher? Is it modular or have self-repair features? Who was it designed for? What's your weapon's purpose? If it's a melee weapon, is it lightsaber resistant, and does it have any unusual properties? You can only use features you've written down and had approved, so include everything you intend to use. What makes this different from other, similar tech?

LEGALITY
Legal? Illegal? Restricted? Describe any nuances on the legality of your weapon to own and carry in different places around the galaxy. Pulse Wave and most Slugthrower weapons are banned in many places, just like disruptors would be in the future, whereas simple stun pistols would be legal on all but the most extremely pacifistic worlds. Portable missile launchers and such are likely illegal in much of the Core, but whipcord launchers and other non lethal devices would be considered humane and legal. Basically, what happens if you get caught by the authorities with this?

INTENT
Why? Why did you create this? No, seriously. Weapons are judged with greater scrutiny than other tech. Guns in Star Wars go "pew pew" and burn your opponent, that's pretty much all you need to know. If you're submitting a weapon for approval, it needs to be pretty exotic or special. And remember, slugthrowers in Star Wars will never be as damaging as blasters, nor will the rounds travel as fast. No exceptions. Ever. Does that break RL physics? Yes, but SW rarely uses RL physics. This will influence any ruling made on your technology, so please explain at length what your intentions are. If this is generic tech, you can omit this section.

ADVANCED TECH
YES/NO. Advanced tech requires an approved plot to build, steal, buy, or otherwise obtain. Most unusual or above average technologies should fit into this category. Also include any other special notes about acquisition, if possible. How might one obtain this tech?

Function: Net Launcher
  • Using the same technology as the whipcord launcher, this function fires a powerful vibrowire net at a target with enough strength to pin a human sized lifeform to a wall. If able, the net will attach itself to the ground or a wall, otherwise it will envelop a human sized target comfortably and will seal itself closed. The net can then be tightened by the user, if needs be to the point of causing harm. Once used, the net will need to be manually re-loaded into it's pod and therefore is unlikely to be seen more than once an encounter.

Advanced?: No - More of a utility item that has applications for capture.

Xavian Ordo
"You Ain't Afraid of the Dark Are You?"

The Story

f2ea00570681ac529f4fcbc5802f6c46.jpg
When the universe is forever at odds there will always need those, who are willing to do a little bad, in order to do a lot of good. This has never been truer than now. Xavian is one of these men, who stands willing to do what is necessary in order to not only secure his own survival, but the survival of those he loves.

There is a famous saying; “Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back.” If there was ever a quote that perfectly described Xavian, it is this.
His early life was that of a simple upbringing, born and raised in the lands of Clan Ordo and instructed in the ways of combat as all Mandalorians were. There was always something missing for Xavian though, he preferred to be nimble and fleet footed – this was often severely limited in his training due to the requirement to wear armour. The limitations not only caused Xavian a fair deal of frustration, but also caused him to underperform in many of his clan’s tests.
These small missteps however were countered with his unprecedented success in the duelling circle, something that would often draw quite the crowd upon an evening. One night, a man approached Xavian and offered him a spot within the clan’s reconnaissance regiment. These were a group of somewhat average individuals with some exceptional abilities.

After a period of training, Xavian was let loose among the world, and would regularly receive assignments from his chain of command, requesting that he would complete tasks on behalf of Mand’alor and the War Council. These tasks could be anything from observation, espionage, data acquisition or assassination. It was during this time that he would also pick up work as a Mercenary. Mandalorians were often highly sought after and well paid – the work as a mercenary an almost perfect cover for visiting planets otherwise off limits to his people.

087d91b50cd3910a416028779f11ee08.jpg
He also enjoyed the freedom that would come with his work, being left alone by much of the Mandalorian Military structure meant that he could focus on himself, something that almost always landed Xavian in brawls, bars and in the arms of plenty on women. Work hard and play hard was a personal mantra of Xavian, who sated the feeling of loneliness in the comfort of strangers.

Skills and Abilities

Xavian is an intelligent and opportunistic assassin, who has trained himself in the art of simply blending in. Average size and average build makes him far harder to spot than the average mercenary or bounty hunter. He is tactically aware and his years spent surviving out of the lines of regular military logistics has meant he has become a good hunter and excellent fields craftsman. His ability to create traps from every day items, as well as materials found throughout nature allows him to catch food or provide himself protection.
Due to his lack of supply chain, he prefers the functionality and flexibility that Melee weaponry offers him. He also find comfort and relaxation in the study of Teras Kasi, which has seen him make great steps in his combat proficiency.

Xavian is a precision instrument who's whereabouts will often go unchecked by his Mandalorian Military superiors. Although they do not always condone his actions, he has been called upon in the past to assassinate high value targets. His ability to move unseen and in silence makes him valuable to those who employ him.

Xavian spent an extended period of time while employed as a Mercenary to wipe out a number of rogue Mad Claws residing in the Kashyykian Shadowlands. Thanks to this, his eye sight has become increasingly strong at seeing in low light and will adjust far quicker to the darkness than an average person.
