BIOGRAPHY

Born on the outer rim world of New Alderran to a pair of Cathar immigrants who had a litter of six, Novaron Rah’s parents were survivors of numerous pirate raids as they fled from planet to planet escaping the madness that ensued outside of both the New Reppublic and the Free World Allliance. Settling on New Alderran happened by chance as the vessel that had been fleeing the devastation caused to their small village on Oseon VII had experienced engine malfunctions which caused the ship to drop out of hyperspace above their new home. A wild coincidence, it seemed, as the planet they had mistakenly discovered welcomed them with open arms and soon the family became well established in the prosperous city of New Aldera.

Nova’s father turned to learning how to fix ships and droids while his mother, crafty as she was, typically could be found weaving clothes and blankets for other immigrants as they arrived, wishing to show them the same acceptance and hospitality that was shown to them. Of the six children his mother bore, Nova was the youngest and always proved himself to be the wildest of his littermates. While he wasn’t prone to violence or mischief, Nova did frequently find himself being told to sit down and relax as he was terrible for getting under the skin of both of his parents. They struggled teaching him patience as he was always more concerned with what came next, but his father soon realised that this wasn’t necessarily a bad thing and figured maybe mechanic work would be enough to distract his son. Bringing him to work with him, Nova soon began to learn the trade by the age of fourteen. While his father had leagues of experience beyond him, the young Cathar picked up on things quite easily as was soon able to work in the shop unsupervised and began to bring in another source of income for the family. It wouldn’t take long before Nova even surpassed his father in skill, though he never allowed himself to admit as much.

By the time of his twentieth birthday, a Jedi Knight had come to New Alderran in search of Force Sensitive individuals who wished to come and join the new Order and scoured the city but came up empty handed. It wasn’t until this human Jedi, Guranik Donishiva, had come to the family shop for some routine maintenance before departing back to Ajan Kloss that he found the young, hyperactive Cathar. As Nova worked away on the Jedi’s personal fighter, Donishiva found himself to be amazed that Nova would not only talk and work but maintained eye contact with the Jedi while he tinkered away. Very rarely did the young man observe what he was doing and yet he performed each task to near perfection. Asking him about this and if it was something he did often, Nova simply dismissed it as experience guiding his actions. Unconvinced, Donishiva decided to stay on New Alderran and would follow the Cathar for many days.

Time and time again, Nova would perform his mechanical duties without every paying much attention to what he was doing. At times, the Jedi would even catch the Cathar reading while he worked or watching the holonet broadcasts and decided that he needed to test his capabilities. Confronting him once more, Donishiva asked Nova if he would submit to a blood test and upon his acceptance, the Jedi’s suspicions were confirmed as the M-count in his blood supported his theory; Nova could be trained in the Jedi ways. Though at first the Cathar did not want to leave his family behind, he eventually agreed to join Guranik and was taken to Ajan Kloss where he trained under the Jedi Knight before finally rising to the ranks of Jedi Knight himself.

After his trials many years after leaving New Alderran, Nova was no longer the energetic young man he once was. Now he had become a selfless, calm, collected and devout member of the Order. Taking it upon himself to explore the edges of the galaxy, the Knight explored the fringes of known space in search of Jedi artifacts from ages past but now that the Sith have returned, he has shifted his focus to ensuring the peace that the galaxy has found is not thrown into turmoil.

Entry One

“Is this thing on? I think… There we go. My name is… Heh, my name. Even that’s a lie… Whatever, I’m called Aska. At least, that’s what the trench coats call me. I’m a clone. A science experiment. A f***ing copy. Everything I’ve ever known has been this lab on… Coruscant, I believe this world is called. Top Trench asked me to record my thoughts on this datapad, and I don’t even know what to say… We ran more tests today. Pretty simple and standard things like a small obstacle course, some blood work. But they did hand me a blaster pistol. I… I don’t know why but it just felt so perfect in my hands. When I was asked to fire at the target, i-it was almost like an instinct. It came so… naturally. It definitely beats the tests they’ve been running me through since I was a kid. I still don’t trust Trench, but it seems like he is finally starting to look at me like a normal person, too. Or at least, he trusts me enough to hold a loaded weapon. Either way, it’s progress,”

Entry Two

“It’s been a couple weeks since my initial entry. Trench is letting me walk around freely now. He asked me to come to his office this morning after breakfast, and I’m still trying to figure out everything he and his team had told me. I guess… It seems I was cloned from the genetic material of an ancient bounty hunter. An ancestor of his, I think? He was pretty excited when he was explaining his ‘project’. Cloning, he says, has been a plague on society for almost two hundred years. They made an entire army of clones that were used to dominate the galaxy and establish an Empire that none had ever seen the likes of before but it was torn down by a rebellion. Until a clone was used to try and bring back the same Emperor, but I guess he never got the chance to do… Whatever it was he wanted to do.

It was that clone that sparked Trench’s experiment that led to my creation. I guess this emperor was some sort of wizard or something? I don’t get it but he had some sort of magic power. A power that was nearly impossible to duplicate in the cloning process, and yet the Emperor’s scientists were able to accomplish it. And it seems Trench has been trying to replicate this experiment. He said that the bounty hunter I was created from had tapped into this same power and was able to use it too. So does this mean that I’m going to be able to use these powers? Trench tends to think so. He seems to think my proficiency with the blaster was an indication that this magic may be something encoded in genetic material, though his advisors believe it may just be a memory imprint within the bounty hunter’s DNA rather than some mystical energy. Tomorrow we are going to be conducting some more tests, I suppose. Aska signing off,”

Entry 3

"It has been an incredibly hard few days. The test that Trench had decided to put me through… I killed a man. I had no choice. I was brought to the surface of Coruscant by Trench and one of his aides where we had met up with a Nikto thug. Dur’Agu was his name. I doubt I’ll ever forget it, or his ugly alien mug. Five hundred credits were all he asked for before he attacked me. That’s what my life is worth. It’s… kind of a blur. One moment he is charging at me, the next I’m crushing his skull with my heel. It was almost instinctual… Like with the blaster. I’m beginning to think that even I don’t know myself, what I’m capable of. But it gets worse. Trench, I know your listening. You want to give me to a crime lord. You created me to capture, abuse and kill. But I will not be someone’s weapon. By the time you find this datapad, I’ll be gone. But you already know I am. I’ve hated you for so long, Trench. Yet you were like a father to me. I just want to say thanks for giving me life, but it’s a life I plan on using how I want, not how you or anyone else tell me. But I also want to tell you that after all these tests, both physical and psychological, you’ve succeeded in one thing. You’ve created a murderer. I know she is there, inside me. And for that, you can go die for all I care… Good bye, Trench. Rahmier, I will miss you, my friend. Aria…. Go f*** yourself."

Freedom came with a degree of unease for the young clone after departing Coruscant as well as the only life she knew. Hopping from world to world and encountering strangers such as Sith and gangsters, Aska would finally settle down on the moon known as Nar Shaddaa. The bustling surface-wide metropolis reminded her of her old home and once she found herself a job working the docks, unloading and loading freighters of precious cargo, she soon began to make a meager living. Now able to afford a drab apartment with some excess credits in her pocket, it didn’t take long before she found herself frequenting the bars of the district and picking up a handful of bad habits such as heavy drinking and smoking. Soon she made friends with a Besalisk by the name of Deskar Trong as well as one of his waitresses, a Togrutan known as Quinri Jirannu.

Still, she remained dissatisfied. An uneventful life as a dock worker did not bring her much of a thrill and her genetic host demanded more. Much more. Fate stepped in and she was soon sent into a spiral, searching for opportunities as a bounty hunter. Stealing the mark of a newly minted member of the guild, Aska was soon on her way to the jungle world of Onderon alongside a Jedi Padawan named Fiach Dubh. The hunt did not go as planned, however, when the bounty was soon discovered to have claimed an ancient Sith holocron and had begun learning to control the mystical energy known as the Force and proving to be too much of a challenge for the clone alone. Yet as she and Fiach pursued the Mirialan woman, another twist of fate was presented when the deity within the holocron had turned out to be the same woman of whom Aska was cloned from. Capturing the young Acolyte was difficult but she succeeded, claiming both the bounty and the holocron for herself.

The events of Onderon shook the clone to her core, the voice of the holocron often coming to her in her sleep as it urged her to leave the life of a bounty hunter behind and pursue the same fate that she had thousands of years prior. Instead, Aska would ignore these requests and continued to find work around the moon under the employ of a young up and comer, a Rodian who simply went by Boola. Job after job, hunt after hunt, the clone proved herself to be incredibly skilled and very rarely came up empty handed from her assignments. However, everything changed when Boola sent her enforcer to collect a debt owed by a minor member of the Hutt cartel families. Though she succeeded in securing the payments, Aska took it upon herself to release a Togrutan slave named Alisaah Tila from his care with the intent of giving her freedom. Instead, she acquired a slave of her own as well as the eternal ire of Hota Zugg and his diminishing yet still powerful criminal enterprise.

After raiding what she believed to be a Hutt vault on Nal Hutta and unsuspectingly foiling one of Zugg’s plans to both advance his standing while framing Boola in response to Aska’s initial attack of his auctions, both Aska and Alisaah have now found themselves in Zugg’s direct line of revenge and are now preparing to flee the Smuggler’s Moon. Leaving everything she had come to hold dear, Aska now turns her attention to discovering what it is the entity of the holocron has to offer…

Espionage
The personality of the young clone has altered dramatically over the years. Going from the curiosity of youth to a quiet and reserved young girl as she approached her teenage years, Aska has always retained one fact; her stubbornness. If someone were to tell her that something was beyond her capabilities, something was out of her reach, a fire would grow within that pushed her to exceed any expectations and limitations she had placed upon her, be it from herself or her superiors. In recent years, she has developed into someone who bonds with a select few. Typically found to be quite rude to those she does not know, especially towards unwanted advances of the opposite gender, it has been surmised that this was a developed trait to keep people at an arms distance intentionally. However, there have been a select few individuals that have found a place within her life that she sees more as family than friends, perhaps in an effort to fill a void from never having a true family of her own. Vahnier, an elderly Twi’lek scientist responsible for her upbringing, is one such exception. Others include a Besalisk man named Deskar and one his employees, a Togrutan named Quinri though the later may be a bit more than simple friendship. People such as these see a side of Aska that most do not. While she is still headstrong, egotistical and defiant of superiority, she has shown that on rare occasions she can be compassionate and soft hearted.

Another attribute of note is Aska’s compassion and deep value for non-sentients. Some of the tests performed by Trench had been done without Aska’s awareness, bringing small animals into the lab. As a child, the young clone would immediately bond with any animal brought into her life, and when the creature was exterminated to evaluate her response she would react as any small child would. Extreme sadness and tantrums followed by social distancing. But as she progressed through her testing and matured over time, she began to maintain a distance from connecting with the creatures. In time, these tests were brought to an end, but the damage was done. The woman loves any living creature but refuses to allow any sort of connection to occur.

Part of a litter taken from Myrkr by a group of criminals, Runt and his siblings would eventually be sold off to an assortment of clients interested in exotic and deadly creatures. Despite his name, Runt was not the smallest of his litter but upon coming into Aska’s ownership she decided on the name as some sort of sarcastic joke.

ARMOR NAME

DESCRIBE YOUR ARMOR. Here is where you write out the text description of your armor. Who makes it? What was it designed for? What groups or species use it? What materials is it made out of? How expensive is it? Is it good stuff? Is it mass produced junk? Give us a feel for it.

LEGALITY

A short sentence or two on how legal your armor is to possess and wear in different parts of the galaxy. Is it legal everywhere, restricted in some places, or illegal in most places? You can get away with a lot on Tatooine, but The Kingdom of Alderaan might frown on citizens walking around in heavily armed war suits.

INTENT

WHY DO WE NEED THIS? WHAT IMPORTANT NICHE DOES IT FILL? If this is a new tech submission, this section needs to be very detailed and compelling- at least a couple sentences. This is one of the first things we look at when reviewing submissions, and if the only intent you have is "lol i wanna win mor" then we're just going to archive it. For generic tech, this section can be eliminated if you choose.

RESTRICTIONS
If any, explain what the relevant restrictions are. This could be anything from being restricted to faction use (like capital ships), NPC/PvE use only for certain overpowered weapons, limited to use during approved plots, only available via event rewards, or whatever else seems appropriate. If none, omit this section.
