Wodan truly believed in that moment that there was some grand creator of the universe who just enjoyed making planets full of sand. His mouth was already full of the stuff and he had only been standing on the edge of Anchoridge station for about ten minutes. He took a mouthful of water to wash out his mouth before spitting the liquid onto the ground next to him.

A pair of heavy goggles helped protect his eyes from both the sand and the glare of the afternoon sun. He had arrived on the planet only an hour or so ago and was determined to leave the planet as soon as possible. They were deep within ISC territory, although he was not here for any nefarious means the last thing he needed was any political escapade because he was on the planet. Luckily for him and Caelian, his partner for today, they were due to head deep into the desert far beyond civilization and the limited law and order of the planet.

He wore a simple outfit built for the heat and arid landscape of Tatooine, a cloth covering the top of his head and back of his neck keeping his skin as cool as possible in this hell hole of a planet. Next to him sat a landspeeder, Wodan hated speeder bikes with a passion and much preferred the comfort of a landspeeder. It would also allow them to take turns driving if need be. In the back he had all the gear for a few nights in the wild of the Twin Sun’s. Taking another sip of his water this time he swallowed allowing the cool liquid to refresh his body.

The second time in as many moons, it felt, the pair somehow found their way looking for lost treasures on the same sandy tomb world. Perhaps it was the remoteness from the core, its wild nature let loose over the millennia, that caught so many loose objects and held them silently until they could be recovered in some distant future. Caelian wasn't entirely sure what they were looking for and perhaps neither did his companion, but the call of adventure was answered all the same.

The dangerous world offered many opportunities for death and glory, numerous deadly beasts roamed the sands, let alone the exotic populations about. Disappearing far from what little civilisation there was on the planet only made the trip more enticing, as its chances of being previously explored decreased, perhaps they would indeed find some relic lost to time or at the very least earn a good drinking story to share.

This time, Caelian was more prepared and wore a similar desert themed cloth outfit designed to mitigate the impact of the heat on his fairer skin and kept his usual gear. Similar but not quite the same goggles accompanied the clothing, opting to not entirely copy his companion yet ensure their look was similar enough that a stranger wouldn't give them another glance if they by chance were seen. He dropped a backpack with some personal essentials for the potential multi-day trip into the back of the land speeder alongside Wodan's gear.

Caelian silently jumped into the passenger seat without hesitation, the sooner they left, the better, he thought.

Wodan felt a small movement within The Force, a black flame amongst the plain flames of the City. He smiled once he realised that said black flame was Caelian, Wodan and the Champion had spent a few missions together including the ill fated invasion of Dantooine. Hopefully this escapade would not end up with them both captured and in a hospital again.

He turned to face the Echani as he approached with a smile on his face, though it seemed his colleague was less than impressed to be there. He was about to question why he didn’t say hello, then he remembered the stories. Wodan had heard what had happened to the Champion, both back on Korriban with Raze and Vahliri and his subsequent tutelage under Draugr and removal of his tongue.

The Firrerrian didn’t say anything, just gave him a nod as he hopped into the driver's seat next to Caelian. A few switches flicked and dials turned and the engines powered on, a moment later and they were blasting their way out of town and into the desert beyond. The goggles were a godsend as a fair amount of sand broke off the surface to greet them. “Know any good road songs?” He asked after a while trying to break the silence and tension in the landspeeder.

Caelian settled into the speeders seat in solemn consideration until his companion Wodan joined, the younger man appeared somewhat hesitant to speak at first. It wasn't entirely well known what had happened to the Echani, but it didn't take long for rumours to spread, especially when the dark lord was involved. It had been a particularly brutal lesson after another which had left its mark on his psyche, his usual playful smile replaced with a hushed contemplation.

The charred and rough edge along his tongue served as a reminder that any fool hardiness could spell the end of both his life and that of his new master, Draugr. There was no room for error, no matter that he had won the duel, he would still be tied to another mast until he could prove himself to be a worthy Sith, whenever that day came.

Tatooine was down near the bottom of the list of favourite places for Caelian but in light of recent events, it was a welcome retreat into paradise comparatively. Not to mention the relief that a familiar face brought, friends weren't always easy to come by, and although he wasn't sure that Wodan considered him one, the Firrerrian probably was the next closest thing.

Caelian looked across silently between the Firrerrian and the console before leaning in to fiddle with its controls. The damn piece of junk didn't want to work at first and required a touch of percussive maintenance, which he gladly applied. Suddenly, music burst from the speakers and started playing for the pair. Its theme was not lost upon the Echani, who found it quite relatable in his current circumstances, causing a light chuckle to breach his silent pose.

While he was physically mute, his connection to the force would still allow communication between them. "Thank you for the invite, I was going crazy back home after...everything. What are you in the mood to listen to?"

Wodan jumped slightly as the music burst into life from the speaker, the Landspeeder veering violently to the left as he did. He gave Caelian a frown before turning his eyes back to the front. Even though the desert was pretty much empty there was always the risk of giant boulders over every dune and of course the varied wildlife which stalked its sands.

The irony of the song wasn’t lost on the Firrerrian as it continued to play. Luckily for him and Caelian Wodan had experienced telepathy before, although he had no ability to return in kind he wasn’t shocked or weirded out by the voice in his head. “I can only imagine.” He replied as they took a little jump over a large dune. “Just something upbeat I think. We have a fair distance to go and I don’t want to spend the whole journey crying.” He quipped back.

Anchorage was far behind them now the white’s of its buildings disappearing beyond the sands, the reflections from descending and ascending ships to the city the only signal of life besides the pair. “Apart from the whole tongue fiasco how have you been? I haven’t really seen you since Dantooine?”

The untamed wilds of Tatooine never ceased to amaze Caelian as the planet continued to highlight just how inhospitable and dangerous its terrain was for the unprepared and those not strong enough to survive the chaotic winds, the billowing sands and the treacherous life forms.

Caelian continued to fiddle with the radio system until he found perhaps the most fitting song possible, its tune carrying through the vehicle and causing a crack in the Echani's seriousness at last. The threat of sandstorms was an ever present reality in the desert, and so they would have to remain diligently aware of those silent killers roaming off in the distance, as they swept across the dune sea.

As they ventured further from the safety of civilisation, Caelian sat there quietly as Wodan asked about his situation. The brief smile slipped back to wherever it had previously been hiding to be replaced with a slight frown as he considered how to respond telepathically. Every day was easier to stomach the lessons he had learned, and in time he would greatly benefit from the pain he suffered in the present, but this wouldn't stop him laying bare with the first person who seemed to actually give a damn about him.

"Dantooine? What do you...oh do you mean Onderon? Eh, well, let's see. I banged the same Jedi I fought there, saved Dromund Kaas from a joiner plot, pissed Raze off, fought Vahliri and cut her arm off to save my life, orchestrated a bombing to kill a prince in order to bring a kingdom into the empire, became Master Draugrs apprentice and sequentially had both my tongue burnt out of my mouth with a lightsaber and beaten into submission to make me feel like a real Sith."

As they passed another dune, the skeletal remains of a long dead krayt dragon lay dormant and partially exposed to the harsh atmosphere, the sun's glare whitening the bones over time.

"But otherwise I'm doing great, how about you?"

All they now had was sand, sand to the left, sand to the right, sand in front of them, was that no, just more sand behind. It was truly a bleak place to live, Wodan was always surprised at the amount of life which thrived on such a world. They bounced over another large dune as Caelian began his little update on everything since Onderon, only The Force knows why he has Dantooine in his head.

It sounded like the Champion had been through a lot since they had parted ways during the failed invasion of Onderon. “Sounds like you have had an eventful few weeks my friend. And I am sorry about what happened to you.” He replied as they passed the skeletal remains of the Krayt Dragon.

“Not as eventful as yours I think, have bounced around a few different worlds, mostly doing work for the Empire, nothing exciting.” He purposefully left out the whole ordeal on Korriban, although most would celebrate their contributions to the defence of the Sith’s homeworld. Wodan saw it as a little black mark on his resume, because well he did nothing, he was just there. His was the participation medal they gave out at school sports day, well done for turning up.

“How's being Dragur’s apprentice I heard he has some weird kinks?” He replied with a smirk, hoping to break some of the tension evident within Caelian.

The hot air whistled through the champion's hair as they appeared to make good progress in whichever direction they were headed in, surrounded by endless dunes as far as the eye could see. There were numerous hostile groups that they would have to avoid, ranging from bands of Tuskan Raiders, to the more common but various life forms that they might run into periodically.

He appreciated his companion's words, it had been a rough period and something he hadn't really had enough time to properly process. The long drive would be perfect for such a task, compartmentalising and building from this. Nodding in acknowledgement of Wodan's comment about his own duties, it didn't seem anything out of the ordinary.

His next question would force an exhalation and an immediate bemused look, his mouth opened, but the words appeared within the Firrerrian's mind as before. "Firstly, I don't want to think about that. Secondly, no actually, I wouldn't be surprised if he was fully pierced up and into being led around by a chain by some dommy thicc lass." The mental image was amusing to say the least, not that he would ever dare to ask around in that regard, but the question served its purpose as the Echani's mood immediately lifted.

Tatooine didn't disappoint when it came to overly scary, aggressive lifeforms that would tear you to shreds in a heartbeat. Wild dewbacks or massifs were one thing to be wary of, but the krayts, rancors and sarlaacs were an entirely different level of blood chilling action. Together with Wodan, Caelian was certain that they could best any foul beast that they crossed, but the risk profile was definitely raised uncomfortably.

With that being said, Caelian had started to wonder about the object of their desire on this trip and what, if any, preparation would be necessary to retrieve it. "So what has earned the subject of your desire this time, Wodan? Are we looking for something specific, or rolling the die and seeing where the fates take us this day?"

He couldn’t help but laugh at Caelian’s description of Draugr’s nighttime activities. The red Zabrak had always seemed so serious whenever met him, the image of the Sith Master being dragged around by his nipples was just too good to not have a long giggle about. “Pretty sure he has an Empire 4 Life tattoo as well.” He added, a thick smile plastered across his face.

A beep on the landspeeder’s terminal signalled they had moved out of the Anchorage area and onto the Great Chott Salt Flat’s. They probably still had half a day’s ride to their destination, that was of course if they didn’t hit any road bumps along the way. He was surprised Caelian had not asked sooner, but perhaps the Echani’s desire to get away from his new pierced up Master was so great he would take any excuse.

“If I am honest, I am not sure. All I have is a location and a fair amount of messed up dreams.” He replied, cresting another dune a ridge of cannons appeared to their far east funnelling them in the right direction. “Ever since we left here the last time, I keep having these dreams. Dreams that something ancient and perhaps even stronger than Draugr’s new blade was still hiding out here in the sands. So I did some digging and it seemed I was not the only person to have such dreams after visiting this dust bowl. But most either didn’t act on it, or they did and they never came back. Let's hope we have better luck.” He finished with a cheesy grin as he slapped his friend on the leg.

It was good to be in a laughing mood again, something that Caelian would remain thankful towards Wodan for. His spirits were in dire need of it, and their little bonding over Master Draugr was doing just the trick. A hearty chuckle belted out of the Echani as he could agree with the Firrerrian's assessment in principle, smiling indeed.

A location was a good start, even if it was a bloody long way off yet, it meant that they were unlikely to have to drive around in the desert wilderness for too long. The heat would wreck havok on the Echani's lighter complexion, even with the precautions that they had undertaken. It would probably be night by the time they arrived at their destination, making it a moot point, however he wouldn't aim to stay any longer than they had to under the brutal stars.

The revelation of these dreams however was a surprise, Caelian himself had been with Wodan during their last trip and hadn't encountered anything similar himself. Was this a Firrerrian thing, a connection with a force foreign to him, or some other unknown explanation? Perhaps Wodan had just not drunk enough water that day...in any case, it was an adventure with a familiar face and the semantics didn't really matter so much, he concluded.

"Sounds dangerous Wodan, how exciting. I could use a good test of mettle, something so powerful must be equally difficult to retrieve, I would say."

After a short discussion, Caelian's eyes gazed across the large and mostly empty desert, but there was something else on his mind. His brow furrowed as he considered how to phrase it before simply stating as before, "I thought my life was over that day on Korriban, and in a way it did, but that's not important. In the sweet embrace of victory, I wasn't ready to stop, had the lord not intervened. It wasn't enough that she be defeated, I felt a burning rage within me to destroy her for being so smugly ready to put me down."

The Echani looked out in front of their speeder as the dunes webbed and weaved around them.

"That feeling of power and control, I don't know how to explain it. I've never experienced such a feeling, in the thrill of combat and at such a real risk to my own life, and yet I can't help but also feel like I miss it."

Wodan couldn’t help but feel a wave of unease as Caelian began to explain his emotions and feelings around what had happened on Korriban. The Firrerrian could only imagine anger and frustration, perhaps sadness and depression from such an event, yet Caelian felt nothing negative from the actual experience. He was even in the mood to seek out the danger, strife and pain of it once again.

Caelian would probably be able to tell that Wodan wasn’t exactly taken by the words flying into his brain from the Echani. Wodan cracked an awkward smile, hoping to push past the desires of the Dark Side. “I think you need to get out more, there are many things better for you and your brain than mortal combat.”

Another, nother sand dune made its mark on the horizon.

“Perhaps we should hit up a cantina after we are done here? Of course, as long as we survive.” He finished with a joke, purposefully trying to vere away from the dark conversations of the Champion.

As excited as Caelian was to explain the complex emotional state he was in, it did not go unnoticed how this seemed to effect Wodan himself, markedly dejected and torn upon learning about his experience. The appearance causing the unease to spread and making the Echani feel like he shouldn't have said anything. Fortunately, Wodan was quick to break the ice as it were and made suggestions of his own.

He wasn't wrong about that, and it was partially why he'd agreed to join the Firrerrian on this wild goose chase in the first place anyway. Best case, they would find whatever object they were looking for, leading to fame and fortune or hopefully at least something interesting happening to give them a decent story of their time here.

It didn't take a barren desert and blazing dual star heat to convince the Echani to hit up the cantina after a mission, in fact it seemed almost mandatory. His muted face picked up at the suggestion, nodding in agreement. It was certainly preferable that they survived the mission, after all, what good was a story if you didn't live to tell it? That said, Caelian was ever confident in their ability to master whatever challenges or foe they might encounter, and had to overcome in order to reach this prize.

Speaking as before, he said, "Maybe I should learn an instrument or some new skill to keep me occupied, carpentry can only keep me busy for so long." The Echani had been an avid carver for some time and was developing some skill in other areas, but had been focused or otherwise engaged that he hadn't put in the hours that he needed to master it yet. Any chance he got to visit his new pad on Elrood for some rest and relaxation, he could at least toy around.

"What about you, Wodan? Any hidden talents or skills that I should know about?" he remarked with actual interest, albeit said in a cheekier manner.

“I would say so, otherwise you will get pulled into one of the Sith Sex Cults which have been making their rounds in the Outer Edges.” He replied with a smirk, his eyes forward as the dunes became smaller but more frequent, the last thing either of them needed was to crash into a wild Bantha on the other side of one of these dunes.

“Well, I think you saw my drumming back on Eriadu.” He began. “Apart from that, nothing really special, bit of a wet fart when it comes to the rest of life.” Wodan chuckled. To be honest it was hard to be truly special in a sect of Super Humanoids, most of them had talents across the spectrum from Fighter Pilot to Hand to Hand to Droid Technomancy, oh and don’t forget the legion of Wizards which had seemingly appeared over the past five years. He could just about drive a speeder and do not, ask him to pilot a starship, unless you want to meet your death in a fiery ball of doom.

“Please tell me you made a cool little box to keep your tongue in?”

Wait was a Sith Sex Cult supposed to be a bad thing? Suppose it could be if you were a virgin, he eyed Wodan curiously for a moment before grinning.

Nodding in response to his statement, Caelian recalled that night fairly well, certainly better than Wodan would, he suspected, given the man had passed out on the floor. His next comment caught the Echani off guard and caused another hearty chuckle. An image would appear within his mind, showcasing a small little project that he had completed to house it.

Caelian understood that he had brought it upon himself, his loose tongue catching the ire of his master, and was promptly removed. It was perhaps fortunate that the punishment wasn't worse, perhaps a harsher master might have taken more. That didn't mean that he didn't harbour resentment for the punishment, on the contrary, it served as a constant reminder and fuelled his new focus.

An unexpected lump under the dune they crossed wracked the speeder from side to side temporarily, breaking Caelian's thoughts as he struggled to keep hold of himself and stay aboard the machine. Wodan's reaction, or luck, would save them from falling out and crashing their only way out.

"Don't sell yourself short, that was pretty fine driving there. Maybe you just haven't found your calling yet."

It was a wonder more people didn't die out in this wilderness with how ridiculously dry and barren it was. No doubt the harsh climate made harsh peoples that staked out what little livelihood they could, but he still struggled to believe that people would want to stay.

"We must be getting closer, did your dream tell you much about what lay ahead? Perhaps something that might help? or we're just going in blind and see where the dice lie?"

The speeder veered violently to one side as the hidden item beneath the sand forced the repulsorlifts to rapidly fire to keep them from crashing into the thing. Wodan let out a little shout as he spun the steering wheel back and forth trying to keep control of the creature. It was less skill and more just panic until it worked, the speeder coming to a shortstop about twenty metres or so from the mound. “More luck than skill.” He replied, his heart pumping his breath short.

“We are a little.” Wodan replied, but before he could say anything else, the mound from behind them began to move. Rising up from the sand, the light brown particles fall away to show the thick black hair of a Bantha. But not a wild Bantha, a saddle sat on the back. “Shit.” Was all he got out, before the infamous call of Sand People echoed out across the sands around them. Dozens of black masked creatures popped their heads up from behind the dunes, rifles at the ready.

Wodan dived into the back of the landspeeder as fire rained down on the pair. The Firrerrian curled up into a ball trying to keep himself small and away from any fire as the blasters continued to fire. Running out there now would just with them looking like a pin cushion.

Chaos abound as the Sand People attacked en masse, applying both surprise and overwhelming fire-power forcing Caelian to dive for cover hastily next to Wodan. Blaster fire sprayed all around them, some landing in the sand or the air above, with the occasional strikes against the speeder itself. They were clearly outnumbered and no amount of bravery was going to help deflect a dozen or more blaster bolts flying furiously your way - the right call was to wait and see.

An eternity seemed to pass, although perhaps only fifteen to twenty seconds between first contact and the last remaining Tuskan's finishing the last of their blaster packs. Silence fell over the sand as neither party stirred at first before the speeder moved a foot or two before stopping again. Caelian checked himself over once and confirmed that he hadn't been hit, before looking at Wodan to confirm the same.

It would only be a matter of seconds before the raiders would content themselves with a well-earned kill, descending upon the wounded craft in the hopes of looting some spoils they could sell for some obscene profit. They would certainly not be expecting a pair of Sith to emerge and break out of their cute little trap.

With little time to plan anything sophisticated, Caelian projected his thought to Wodan as he put a haphazard plan into action. The Firrerreo would cover him as he'd make his way back to the driver's seat, pulling a pair of smoke grenades from his belt and activating them with a click and dropping them on either side of the speeder as he took his seat.

The smoke screen would rapidly expand and start to cover the landspeeder itself, they wouldn't have long, but perhaps it would buy them enough time to pull some distance before the raiders could reload their blasters. Slipping into reverse and with a hard acceleration, the speeder yanked backwards, quickly slipping back into gear and turning to avoid the bloody bantha this time, aiming between it and a pair of Sand Peoples frantically reloading.

He could feel the heat of the blasters as they whizzed past their head crashing into speeder and sand around them. Wodan had to control his breathing less he began to panic or worse slip into a fear induced Dark Side rage. Luckily the fire soon came to a stop and Caelian reached into his mind. Wodan checked himself over, nothing hurt and no blood was seen in the back of the speeder. He gave the Echani a nod in agreement of his plan. Reaching into his shoulder holster and pulling out a blaster, the best he could do was cover a ninety degree space, he just hoped it would be enough for Caelian to act.

With another nod, he sat up blaster raised and began raining fire down into the surrounding area. He spotted a few black masked heads and shot in their direction, he clipped one though he wasn’t sure if they were actually dead. The rest of his shots mostly kept their heads down long enough for the smoke to begin billowing out from either side of their speeder.

Wodan not expecting the speeder to be shot into reverse fell backwards into the passenger seat as Caelian flew them both backwards. His head smacking against the dashboard, legs stuck up in the air as they sped past the bantha and into the clear. A few shots followed them, but they were quickly out of range of the Sand People’s range. Once the sound of blasters stopped, Wodan pulled himself up out of the awkward position before spinning round and falling into the seat. “You didn’t mention you were putting it in reverse.” He replied with mock annoyance. “Head northeast.”

Good fortune prevailed as the land speeder backed up away from the angry Bantha, before throttling hard and fast to slip that would be shackles the Sand People had failed to catch them in. The sudden shift in momentum appeared to catch Wodan off-guard, throwing the Firrerrian on his ass, which would have been hilarious had Caelian not been so focused on controlling the unwieldy vehicle.

"Sorry, but in my defence, you didn't ask." Okay, so he did catch a little bit of how funny it was. He hadn't meant to catch Wodan off guard like that, but in the heat of the moment, he did what he had to in order for them to get out unscathed. "You still all good there?" he finally asked with a hint of concern in his voice. It wouldn't do either of them any good to injure themselves before the main event, but also in that the Firrerrian was starting to grow on him.

The land speeder turned northeast along Wodan's instruction, endless sand flew beneath their wake and soon enough they were back to throttling through a big wide expanse of nothingness. They were fortunate to have such navigation technology, Caelian could only marvel at the idea that eons ago nomads would traverse these terrains with nothing but wit and knowledge of the stars to keep them pointed in the right direction.

As time passed, in the far distance one could start to make out a feature in the desert. The Echani rubbed his eyes briefly, thinking he was having another sand dream. "You see that ahead, or am I losing it?" He wasn't sure if they'd travelled far enough to be arriving at their destination, or if it were something else. Either way, it was a break from the dunes and that was exciting enough for him.

“Perhaps the Sand People shooting at us had my attention.” He replied with mock anger as they sped through the desert. His head hurt from the collision with the dashboard but it was nothing serious, the bruising was already disappearing thanks to his genetic gifts. By sundown he doubted he would even be able to feel where it had happened. “I am good, just getting a little tired of desert nonsense.” Wodan added as they bounced through the dunes.

As they travelled the day slowly began to shift by, the Twin Suns of Tatooine making their way towards the horizon, shadows began to make an appearance in the distant mountains. Night was approaching, when Caelian pointed out the ‘something’ in the distance. Wodan had been checking over his weapons and data pad since the attack, making sure both were working properly after the hail of blaster fire.

“We are still a little way out, I think.” It was all a guessing game, more about feelings and The Force than actual facts and coordinates. Slowly as they got closer Wodan’s eyes fell, it was definitely not their destination. The blurry item came into focus as the burnt out carcass of a Jawa Landship, it was a haulking great piece of steel, desolutte of life and purpose. Long since abandoned, the scars of blaster fire could be seen all along its hull, whatever had happened to this great thing was of a sentient’s choice, not nature. It had been stripped almost clean of anything useful from the looks of it as the speeder pulled up alongside it.

As they slowed a chug and spurt of the motor cried out, looking back over his shoulder he spotted the sparking and smouldering signs of blaster fire into the right repulsor turbine. “Fuck, lets hope its not trashed. I don’t want to walk back.” He said, hoping out of the speeder to take a look.

One could be jealous of the Firrerrian's natural fortitude, a genetic gift that would make Wodan an incredibly tough opponent to keep down. Caelian nodded in agreement regarding his desert comment, the long featureless terrain was dreadfully boring to watch pass by after all the massive megapolis or otherwise dense planets he had visited during missions recently. There, at least you weren't at risk of death by sand dune or, worse, falling captive to some raider ambush.

As they approached the Jawa Landship, a steady unease rolled through his body, expecting another kind of ambush or trap of some kind that never came. Instead, the lumbering hulk stood still, imposing itself defiantly against the desert that slowly broke it down over time. Its external damage appeared great, perhaps they themselves had fallen victim to the same group that had attempted to do the same to them just previously, it was hard to tell.

The right engine breaking down in the middle of nowhere was certainly not ideal, considering how long it had taken them to reach this far in with a speeder, returning on foot would take forever. A groan escaped his lips as he switched the speeder off and climbed out with Wodan.

"I'll uh, go check out the landship and see if they left anything behind."

There wasn't a whole heap of confidence behind the statement, it didn't appear that much would have survived, but Caelian likewise didn't feel very useful standing around staring at an engine he wouldn't even know how to fix. He hoped Wodan was a bit more mechanically minded than he was, give the Echani anything wooden, and he'd find a way to fix it, but machinery? Good luck.

Mindful of potential booby-traps, he cautiously approached the wreck and scanned across its exterior, looking for the opening. The main access hatch appeared open, which would serve him well enough as he climbed up into it and begun exploring.
