The war was not going in the Sith’s favor. Sanctions were throttling their every move, their leadership were nowhere to be found save for Draugr and he had recently been announced to have been captured by the enemy. As Sah’ra paced across the floor of her office, nearly burning a path in the carpet, she let out a huff of frustration. How had they come to be led by fools? The loss of Caelestis was a severe blow to the Empire. He was a Lord who had proven to be a man of action, her heart heavy as she tried to recall his face. So long ago… Then there was the departure of Andruil. Despite any sort of resentment Sah’ra harbored for the previous Empress after she had slain her Lord, there was no denying her effectiveness on the throne. The complacency of these new ‘Sith’ had led them here. And she needed to act.
While she had plans in place to start alleviating some of the pressure the Empire faced, she knew she couldn’t do this alone. She needed to start plotting contingencies for her own survival as well as finding sources to supply her projects, whether it be for the benefit of the Empire or her preservation. There was one key aspect she would need if she were going to enact either and it was something that her government was severely lacking at the moment; fuel.
The Empire could spare little for anything it considered ‘frivolous expenditures’ so she would begin searching for outside assistance. With what little fuel reserves she had remaining on Adumar, the Sith Champion was forced to contact the selected benefactor through holo on a secured channel, triple checked to ensure it’s integrity. On the other end of the channel, the receiver would see a woman in a floor length black dress flicker to view wherever he opted to receive the message.
”Thank you for taking my call on such short notice, sir. I wish this conversation could be taking place in a different setting but our current political climate has made travel a challenge,”
