With her head slightly spinning she was still fully aware of what was happening but needed a moment to gather her strength. She caught her breath, but as soon as her mind decelerate, she was reminded of the wounds she had received by a sudden, stinging pain.

She saw how Lorven made his way over and nodded as he ensured her that the explosives would do as well. He didn't seem interested in her piece of mind but she was absolutely fine with that as they weren't in dire need of gaining control over them anyway.

One of his men stayed behind and offered her a hand which she gratefully accepted as she felt ready to proceed, however as there were only a few remains left anyway her support wasn't required any further.

As the official statement about how they had managed to secure the room came, she hurried over to the entrance, her gaze scanning the surroundings before she reached out with the Force and checked whether anyone was still close.

"Sir, no incoming enemies for now" she reported as she approached the Lieutenant again, waiting for his men to plant the bombs before they'd have to find cover. While the tower was secured, she knew they'd have to report back to Janier once this was over, but still wasn't sure how to approach the man with his alarming views.

The charges were quickly planted on the two remaining cannons. Lorven was acutely aware that they needed to get things moving. Kalique’s assertion that there were no enemies incoming did reassure him somewhat. “Charges planted, sir!” Lorven took a few seconds to survey the room. They had suffered a few casualties. The bodies would be taken back; the fallen deserved a proper burial for their sacrifice. Flicking a switch on his commlink, a signal was sent to the two imperial shuttles that had dropped them off. “Back to the roof for extraction!” He gestured to Kalique to follow as the troops poured out of the room.

Upon reaching the roof, they had an uncomfortable wait for the shuttles. Eventually they did arrive. Fortunately, they hadn’t been shot down on the way back. “Onboard, quickly!” The imperial soldiers streamed onto the shuttles, which quickly began to pull away from the tower. Lorven gestured to the soldier responsible for detonating the explosives. “Do it.” The explosions blasted through the upper levels of the tower, rocking the building and sending out shockwaves which shook the shuttles. “Keep us steady!” Pressing a few buttons on his commlink, Lorven opened communication with the general responsible for Janier’s forces.

We’re ready to proceed with the next stage of our attack. Are the cannons destroyed yet?

Yes, you can proceed.

With the cannons gone, they could now begin their push towards the capital. Lorven looked over to Kalique. “We just have to look forward to our next chat with Janier.” He couldn’t help but chuckle slightly as he said it.

They could plant the explosives without any issues and there were still no reinforcements in sight as they were done and ready to proceed. Lorven urged the soldiers to move back up for extraction and Kalique stayed behind to ensure they weren't assaulted but even as they made their ascent, there were no enemy motions palpable.

They waited for the transports and Kalique made sure they were shielded in case the explosions rocked tbe building too severely, but in the end she wasn't used to interfere with the Force again and thus used to time to recover a little. She boarded the shuttles last after having made sure no one stayed behind and so she exhaled in relief as Lorven adressed her.

Janier...how wonderful that they still had to report to him. While she was happy for how well their mission had been she obviously didn't look forward to meet the douchebag again. "I'm already delighted about that prospect" she sarcastically replied, a smirk crossing her lips as she sat down for the moment, the constant force use still taking its toll. She'd be fine soon enough but for now she cherished the little break.

Removing the outer layers of her armor she just waited for the medics to walk by before she asked for a few bacta pads she could slap onto the wounds. It would be more than enough for now and she was ready for the next stage. "Are you alright, Lieutenant?" she wanted to reassure herself about his intactness as he was still responsible for leading the mission.

Yes, he provides such excellent conversation.” Lorven smiled. Fortunately, even though she had suffered some injuries, Kalique seemed ok. The imperial’s role in the attack was nearly complete. The only thing left was for the other small group of imperial soldiers, that had been tasked with assisting Janier’s forces, to help make sure that Janier’s attack on the capital was a success. Lorven’s group had completed their part of the plan.

I’m fine, thank you. Well… I’m alive at least.” Lorven took a seat, letting out a heavy sigh. Finally, some rest.

(Janier’s camp)

Janier was waiting for the shuttle, flanked by his cadre of bodyguards. As Lorven and Kalique stepped down from the ramp, he was waiting to greet them. “Ah, Kravus, I must congratulate you. You imperials have proven to more effective than I thought you would be. Admittedly, I wasn’t expecting much.” He smiled. His teeth were pearly white. Turning to Kalique, Janier’s eyes focused on the bacta pads she had applied to herself. “Oh, you’re hurt. Well, it should be a lesson to you. You would better off behind a desk. There can never be enough good secretaries.

Knight Demici was crucial in the mission’s successful completion.

Yes, I’m sure she was.” Janier’s tone was patronising. “You know, sweetheart, when this planet is mine, you’ll always be welcome at my residence. It would be nice to have a pretty thing like you around.

There were no further issues on the flight back to camp and while Lorven was fine, everything else proceeded as planned as well. Janier's forced could press on without having to worry about the cannons and so all that was left was to deal with the obnoxious jerk again.

They descended the ramp and Janier suddenly began checking her out before he threw the first inappropriate remark at her. "Battles never come without scars" she stated flatly, emerald eyes narrowed but ignoring the remark about the desk. Did he not know Knights were always out on the field?

No...it was something different. Despite the thick red armor and the weapons clipped to her belt, he was assuming she would be better as a secretary. She opened her mouth but immediately closed it again, the rage bubbling under the surface but her expressions just cold. She wouldn't let him under her skin. Good thing for him he was not speaking to a Sith.

Lorven tried to chime it about how Kalique was absolutely no secretary and while she found it kind of him, she already new it wouldn't be furtile. Janier continued and it was good for him she had it all under control, regardless of how much he triggered her. "I politely decline" she simply stated, not breaking his disgusting gaze. She hoped this conversation was over and waited for Lorven to release her.

A pity. But anyway, it’s your loss.” Janier clicked his fingers at one of the guards, who was carrying Janier’s cloak. The man scurried over and gently draped the cloak over Janier’s shoulders. “Until we meet again, Kravus.” Janier swiftly turned and strutted back to his tent, his guards following close behind. “I think we can probably leave now.

(Imperial command outpost)

Upon returning to the camp, all Lorven could think about was sleep. No time for that. He had to oversee the progress of the imperial soldiers assisting Janier’s forces. “So, Demici, I will be staying for a while longer to oversee our troops who are involved in the final offensive. I believe you are free to leave now the cannons have been destroyed.” He extended his hand. “Whatever your decision, I have enjoyed working with you.

Janier did at least seem to take a hint after her official decline and left her at peace now. Her facial features still remained perfectly stoic but at least the provocations seem to cease now. They were excused and she was glad once they had left the tent and could return to the Imperial camp.

At the outpost, Lorven also officially released her off duty here and after she removed her helmet, she gave him a smile. "Thank you, Lieutenant. It's been a pleasure with you as well". Despite the unnecessary war crime he had commited, she found him capable and indeed rather pleasantly straightforward to work with, so she shook his hand.

"I'll be off the planet if you don't request further support". She had no business here anymore, unless he wanted her in the offensive, but he made it sound like this wasn't the case. She'd then move back to the Imperial shuttles to return to Raxus, but was already convinced he would cross paths with him again.
