Rain, why always rain? You would expect that a the Empires of the Sith both past and present would pick a better planet for their capital. Perhaps something with a medium to high average temperature, short sharp spells of rain, turquoise seas and a gentle breeze. Though, maybe that was what Dromund Kaas once was. Before the stranglehold of the Dark Side seeped into its core.

Artorigas even though he was Sith and acknowledged and desired the power that came with that title, was still not one hundred percent on board with the whole give yourself into the Darkness and let it consume you, that his master preached. The easiest evidence to this was within his eyes, unlike many of his Sith brethren he still retained the natural Blue hue he was born with, not the sickly red and yellow which showed true decent into the Dark Side of the Force. He was not dumb enough to understand that it was only a matter of time before he sunk deeper and he would loose both his restraint to its pulls and his oceanic eyes.

The rain continued to hammer down around him, the ground was almost flooded a small covering of half an inch of running water covered much of the mud and soil in the little clearing he looked out upon. Hiding beneath a large tree, he was protected by most but not all of the water falling from the sky. A thick hood hung over his head keeping his head warm and dry, his finer clothes stored upon the 'Wyvern' replaced by a more practical outfit. Built for hard wear, rain and cold, heavy boots ran halfway up his thigh already thickly covered with mud, his long handled saber glinted from the small sunlight breaking through the clouds at his waist and as usual when dealing with the Dark Side Artorigas covered his face.

An ornate mask covered his entire head, the small rebreather hidden within it let out a small hiss at every breath. The machine was more an afterthought, it came with the design, not something he specifically went out looking for. The eye sockets were open allowing those around him to clearly see his untainted eyes.

Reaching into an inner pocket he pulled out his small holocom and checked the time and date, a message had been sent out to those who still resided on Dromund Kaas that if they wished to venture deep into the forest that he was heading out and would accept any form of company. You could never be to careful upon a planet so enveloped in the Dark Side such as the Capital, for be it flora, fauna or Sith something was always out for your head here.

Ah, the tombs of Dromund Kaas. Yes what a sight. The dark aura, the evil feelings. Quite satisfying to feel for the Acolyte Xeno. His body red, and covered in his tribal tattoos from Dathomir. A rather handsome Zabrak if he may say so himself. His eyes tinted to the common yellow look that most Sith had beared.

Xeno sat with his legs crossed at the door of the tomb. He wanted to enter but he was awaiting the arrival of a fellow Acolyte. By the name of Artorigus. He hadn’t known him long, just knew that exploring tombs would be fun and that he was invited. So as courtesy he waited.

This should be fun. I’m ready for the horrors. Now, where is he? He’s late.

After a long awaited arrival, Xeno looked back as he stood to his feet and saw something moving closer, no someone. It was the acolyte he waited for.

“You’re late.. oh well. Let’s get at it shall we?”

Xeno made a gesture moving his arm towards the door and saying.

“After you..”

It continued to rain and Artorigas continued to wait. He sighed through the mask and pulled out the holocomm again, the small piece of clear plastic illuminated blue, flicking with his thumb to the right he checked the time, it was fifteen minutes past the allotted time and the other Acolyte had yet to appear in the clearing. Putting the comm back into his inside pocket he pushed off from the tree he was leaning under and ventured out into the rain.

Clear of the canopy the weight of the water droplets increased as did the noise of them bouncing off of his hood and mask. Turning on his heels he looked up at the colossal set of crypts that the clearing was near. "I guess the little alien thinks we meet over there." He spoke out loud before beginning the trudge through the mud towards the great stone building.

It was only a few minutes from the clearing and the undergrowth near the temple was relatively light, the ancient mausoleum was built upon a more rocky part of Dromund Kaas making it harder for most flora to take root here. As he passed through the trees he spotted the Zabrak close to the entrance to the great set of tombs. As he closed the gap he heard the alien speak up, complaining about his tardiness which made him chuckle, the rebreather made the it sound less genuine than he meant but it was nothing to dawdle on.

"Its hard to be on time when you are standing in the wrong place my friend."
He said smiling behind the mask, a physical reaction for only himself to see and feel. "We were meant to meet in the forest, as you see, this is not where the tomb I am looking for is located. You are close for the man whose tomb we seek built this tomb. But it his own, not his work I seek." Turning to his left so the tomb and the Zabrak were on his right, he pointed north. "The Tomb of Dark Karnos is due north of this tomb, though again he is not who we seek. I am told that the Tomb we seek his somewhere directly between this line and that of two others, though those names and locations are lost to history. So all we can do is search and hope to find what we are looking for."

Turning back towards the alien he looked him up and down before gesturing himself out into the forest. "I hope you are ready for a long walk. Also I never caught your name?"

Of course. Excuses. Well Xeno has heard them before when he helped lead a tribe back on Dathomir, but this time from a Sith? Pathetic. It left a distaste in the mouth of the Zabrak so much so the while the other acolyte spoke he spit to the side maintaining eye contact. Don’t even get him started on the chuckling.

Xeno’s expression on his face was unamused. Though he let the acolyte speak of the tombs. The only intriguing thing he’s heard from him so far. Perhaps he may be useful but lazy and tardy. Hopefully the impression changes later.

“Yes well.. lead the way.” Xeno’s glowing eyes leaving the ocean blues of the other acolyte. Weird. Perhaps he isn’t quite cut out for this. We’ll find out soon enough.

“My name is Xeno, I was named by my master. My former is irrelevant to you. I understand your name is Artorigas.”

Xeno continued behind the other acolyte on foot as they made their way to the destination. The tomb was a good distance. Perhaps others will join from his request. Perhaps not. Either way, these tombs are dangerous and Xeno didn’t know if he could trust putting his life in the hands of this acolyte.

Artorigas smiled behind his mask at the alien's open contempt of him. It appeared that he was like much of his fellow brethren within the order. Quick to Anger, Overly Proud and Full of Unrewarded Self Worth. Perhaps this trip would be a bust with someone like this in his corner, or perhaps having someone has vicious as this little attack dog would be beneficial. Their would definitely be something else as aggressive as his fellow Acoylte out here in the forest of Dromund Kaas.

He watched the man as he store back into his blue eyes, Artorigas wondered what shifted through his mind as he looked at them? Perhaps concern or worry that he was not as he said 'A Sith' or perhaps nothing at all, sometimes the most aggressive are also the most foolish.

The alien continued his overly macho and aggressive tone with his name, he could have just called himself Xeno and been done with it Artorigas would have been none the wiser. Making the further comment about his master and that it was not his birth name revealed something about the creature. Perhaps he was insecure in himself, giving unneeded details about ones past, or ones struggles, a victim complex was often the sign of insecurity. Be it caused by ones self or an outside force however that was not clear to Artorigas.

"Yes correct, Artorigas Wessex. How long have you been with the order Xeno? Has it been long?"

The pair continued to trudge through the thickening undergrowth moving north away from the great crypt and into the deep jungle of the Sith planet.[/abox]

Sending that there was unease within the pair Xeno decided to lighten up. Though not really in the mood to do so, he decided it would best. So instead of hounding, and being himself he would try to be more like this.. person, and try to not be so.. Sithy.

“Not sure. The time flies by when doing these tasks, and such. Yourself?”

The acolyte would listen to a response, and then prepare to ask a question of his own. It was a simple question. One that almost all Sith have the answer to and it was common to have a wild answer to this question.

“What was the hardest thing you’ve killed so far?”

This was an interesting question. Dark, but of course Sith would talk about dark things such as this. It’s common, at least for the Zabrak it is. Not a lot of people choose to talk about their past. It was weakness within them they couldn’t let out. There is no shame in a small thing and not much glory in a large thing.

Artorigas' boots squelched through the mud, it was becoming thicker, more slimy as they decaying leaves, twigs and branches began to rot into the ground surrounding the trees. The tomb was well out of sight behind them know, the thick canopy of the jungle blocking all but their immediate surroundings from view. The rain was still heavy but the large leaves of the Veterok trees seemed to block much of the downpour from their heads. A crack of lightening coincidently followed Xeno reply.

"Myself, I have only been a member of the Sith for the past few years. My training only slightly longer." He smirked at the Sith's next question it was one he was not suspecting but also not taken back by its line of thought. "Nothing to big or hard I am afraid, a pack of Spine-Wolves, perhaps. On their own they are pretty simple, but like all things in a group they can become more troubling. Yourself?"

The ground became solid for a moment beneath his feet, stone of some kind, though under the thick coating of mud and the stream of water running over its surface he was not sure. Perhaps they were coming closer to a structure of some kind?

Hmm.. spine wolves, there is honor in that. Perhaps there was a slight judgement too early.

Xeno continued behind the other acolyte. Then asked of his own story. It was a n easy one for himself. Not much was able to top what he had seen under the waters of Scarif.

“Well I fought a blixus. My master had taken control of the things mind and I had to kill it. Broke my ribs, and kicked my-“

A sound of thunder had interrupted what the acolyte was saying and once finished the acolyte had another question that may have been decent enough to keep a conversation going.

“Do you have someone special for yourself? Wife, kid, lustful interests?”

The Zabrak wasn’t interested himself, he had found someone he took a liking to. Probably someone he should only be professional with but he couldn’t help himself.

Then Xeno saw it. It was a broken statue of an old Darth. How wondrous. It was large and looked to be beautiful at one time, but now just half a statue with pieces all around.

Artorigas had never heard of a Blixus, so he couldn't really comment either externally or internally on the Acolyte's accomplishment in its defeat. The fact the creatures mind had to be brought to heel, did however confirm that either it was immense or Xeno was weaker than he made himself out to be. Knowing the Sith Artorigas doubted the later, weakness was not something the Sith tolerated well.

He was however surprised at the alien's next round of questioning. Attachments, that was one of the last things he expected the fellow Sith to engage in conversation over. Although they were all but encouraged amongst their ranks, they still showed a sign of weakness, a potential soft spot, an underbelly. He couldn't tell if the Zabrak was looking to gauge a weakness in Artorigas or look to personally open up himself to his fellow Acolyte.

He was about to respond when he too spotted the broken statue, the black stone had been expertly crafted by hand any imperfections by the craftsman were now well worn away by the rain and wind. The lower half was a marvel, the upper well it just didn't exist, what appeared to be the Darth's head was about twenty feet to the right, moss and foliage covered half its face. It was probably lighting he assumed, a heavy strike catching the stone in just the wrong way, shattering it and sending it crashing to the floor.

Turning his head to look over the rest of the rubble surrounding them he heard a Hiss arise above the wind and rain. Turning back towards the head he spotted two Vine Cat's, each standing as tall as a man and twice as long slowly crawl their way over and around the head of the fallen statue.

"Looks like we have company, would you like left or right?" He asked pushing aside his long cloak to reveal his long handled saber.

The sight of the statue interrupted his question. Probably better that way, Xeno hadn’t been good at the socializing thing. Nor did he really want to be good at it. He felt it was a pointless skill when intimidation works just as well, and when that didn’t work he had his skill to back him up.

Then after checking out the rubble, a couple vine cats had appeared. Xeno has heard stories of these things, luckily for him he’s fought harder opponents.

“I’ve got the right..”

The Zabrak growled it out, as he pulled out his two hilts that sat on both sides of his belt. Then igniting the two crimson blades he began to stare down the vine cat that had been looking at what it thinks is easy pickings. Xeno’s yellow eyes pierced through it.

The vine cat had pounced toward Xeno in hopes to eat, but with a swift calmness the acolyte sent both sabers across the left front leg of the beast. Not cutting it clean off though. The Zabrak left rough attachment that the rest of its leg would hinder its movement and cause pain upon it.

The Zabrak knew it would be quite effective. He began to circle the beast as it growled and made empty attacks with it’s good paw. The acolyte smirked. Then looked over to see how the other was fairing. After seeing how he fought, Xeno turned his attention back to the beast that limped before him.

He nodded as Xeno moved to the right. Left it was, perhaps easier, the beast would be on his right side as he moved away, closer to his weapon arm. To the means of this creatures demise. Pulling the saber free from the loop upon his belt, he began sidestepping, crisscrossing his legs as he created distance between himself and the Zabrak. The last thing either of them needed was the others light-saber slicing through their arm as they swung.

The rain made everything feel quiet, the beating on his hood and helmet removing any sound of the beast's movement across the ground. Sight and The Force would be what guided him today, his other senses dulled by the rain. Moving the long handled saber in front of him he gripped it with both hands, his left sitting near the bottom of the shaft, it would give the fluid movement of the swing as the right delivered the strength and power.

The beast to his right moved to engage Xeno, as Artorigas' slowly advanced upon him, did he have the older wiser Vine Cat or perhaps the younger and more nervous one? He was not sure. He kept the blade un-lit its head pointed down to his right, the rebreather was making his long breaths sound hoarse through his mask.

The beast was not attacking, it was stalking him so Artorigas had to make the first move. Dipping his left leg, he feinted a dash to the side, the creature took the bait and lunged forward. Straightening his body, he felt the flow of The Force begin to channel through him, his muscles became tense, then quickly relaxed like a warm bath as the power injected itself into his movements. The creature was less that two meters away when he reacted, it had reached its full gait, the pounce had begun, their was no way for it to dodge his blow, sweeping his right leg forward he arced the blade up from his right to left as he turned. The moment the blade began to move a purple stream of energy erupted from its emitter. The movement was a single precise cut across the creatures front left leg, the paw reached out to carve the meat from its bones but it never struck home. The purple blade cut clean through the beasts Humerus, severing the leg just above the main joint.

The beast screamed out in pain as it landed, tumbling into a thicket of leaves, branches and twigs. Slowly getting back to its remaining three legs the creatures snarled at him, snapping its gapping more as it hobbled forward. Artorigas gave a quick look to his side to check on his colleague before stepping forward towards the beast.

The acolyte was await the next strike from the large cat. He could feel himself ready to close in for the kill. Xeno expected a better fight from these creatures. Maybe he’s become more powerful than he once was. Only one way to find out.

After Xeno noticed the other acolyte was watching, he decided to put on a show. A paw swiped at him, dodging it he slid underneath and used the force to push off the ground and on the back of the beast after a few acrobatic flips.

“Now the high ground is mine, beast!”

The Zabrak let out an evil laugh as he slashed back and forth with both sabers on the back of the beast. The burns, cuts, and overall pain had caused the beasts weakening. Once he felt he did enough damage there, the beast lied on the ground helpless. Xeno walked along the mutilated back of this monster and stepped on the head.

Once the Zabrak took a moment to kneel down and connect himself to the beasts mind, he could feel it’s memories. Everything the beast has been through. The acolyte reopened his eyes and gave a silent comment to the beast,

“I’m sorry for what I have done. Forgive me, as now you move on to a better place.”

The Zabrak sent both sabers into the dome piece of the beast. Killing it. Sad to see a powerful opponent leave the world, but it was it or Xeno. He chose for it to be the one that goes. Then he looked over to see how his company was fairing. Should there be need of assistance he was ready to help. Surely though, a vine cat wasn’t too much trouble for the other acolyte.

It was clear from the brief look across at the Zabrak that he was either toying with his enemey or looking to try and impress Artorigas. Either could get you killed if you go up against the wrong foe and that was something Artorigas filed into the back of his mind, just encase he needed it for later.

Turning back to his own prey, the creature limped not able to use his left front foot as it sat on the ground close to were Artorigas now stood. The snapping teeth and cries of pain and anger echoed through small clearing around the statue. The rain was already washing away the blood from the beast, within an hour a smaller creatures will be here to pick apart the Vine Cat's bones and within a day or two none would know what happened here.

Keeping the blade to one side, both hands still upon its hilt, Artorigas slowly approached the beast, it limped forward towards him and he only slowed estimating the beasts maximum leap forward upon its three remaining legs. He had figured it out and waited, the beast took only a moment to realise that he was in range to strike and in desperation more than thought it appeared, he lashed out. Powering forward off his back legs his maw open he looked to kill the Sith in one might blow. But the Acolyte was ready, as quick as his first attack, he shifted his feet, moving his left to the front before stabbing forward and up, the blade piercing through the upper mouth, brain and skull of the creature killing it immediately.

To stop the weight of the creature coming down he opened his palms, his saber only gripped by his index fingers and thumbs. Feeling that burning sensation of the force flow through him he released it through the palms of his hands, an invisible wave of force erupted from his hands. The creature launched back from his blade, slicing through the front of its skull cutting clean between the eyes. It crunched hard into the trunk of the tree about five meters behind it. Deactivating his saber he clipped it back onto his belt before turning to see the Zabrak mounting its dead kill.

"A shame, but I guess we must move in. I am assuming we are getting close due to the statue. After you, north is that way."

The acolyte had appreciated the fight from the beast. It was strong. Yet, not strong enough. He retracted his blades and set the sabers back to the belt he wore. Standing up, then leaping next to the other acolyte. He landed to his left and responded to him,

“Alright, I’ll lead I suppose. Remember though. This specific tomb is unknown to me. If we are lost, I blame you. Hopefully you’ll be paying attention.”

Xeno continues down the path. The darkness around and the rain had been enough to dull senses outside of the force. Interesting. The pair had to continue with the force as the only way to truly know what’s ahead and around. Where there is a couple vine cats, there may be other creatures.

The Zabrak turned to his companion and simply spoke,

“Impressive work, back in the altercation with the cats. You are strong. Might actually be worth being around.”

Xeno was sure there’d be rebuttal in the acolytes mind, but another answer verbally. He could tell on the inside there was slight hard feelings. Though he would be sure to have an ally by the end of the incursion.

“What tomb are we looking for again? In case we end up passing it by.”

Artorigas fell into line behind the Zabrak, leaving around ten paces between the pair, his reasoning was not because of spite or distrustfulness of his fellow Sith. But was built of innate scepticism of the world around them, that sort of distance would give him enough time to spot anything coming at Xeno and close enough to react to whatever it may be. They had already been visited by Vine Cat's and those cries of pain and anger would be answered in time. Be it by their kin or by other bigger creatures only time would tell.

He kept his eyes open scanning the ground and area around them for signs of a tomb, paved flooring, cracked rubble, straight edges were natures preferred things rounded. As he did he let The Force feel for danger, it was better at that then the search for the tomb, in a world so soaked in Dark Side energy looking for a Sith tomb was like looking for a lighthouse in the middle of the day.

He laughed at the aliens comments about his usefulness, it was an interesting line of thinking, considering that Artorigas was the reason they were out searching for a Tomb in the first place. He didn't reply as the Zabrak's next question was more important.

"We are searching for the Tomb of Lord Andros. I rather unknown Lord, he had no great achievements or power. Hence why I expect his tomb is still untouched." The continued through the downpour, it had seemed to lighten since the fight with the Vine Cat's though it was still to much to remove the hood. "As I said, he was a builder he made many of these tombs, much of the old Kaas City has his finger prints all over it. His designs fascinate me and I wish to learn more about them and their history." He pushed a long hanging branch away from his face as they continued to walk. "His tomb would not be lavish or over excessive, but finely wrought and clean from what I understand of his work."

Interesting. A tomb built for a rather lame Sith. Hmm. Perhaps having his own tomb would be possible in due time then. Only time would tell. The Zabrak looked back to his companion after stepping on concrete.

“I think we’re at another tomb. Want to check to see who it belongs to? Might as well see the inscription.”

Xeno hadn’t wait for an answer. He simply turned and walked to the entrance. The doors remained closed. At least they looked like doors. Then above the entrance was old ancient Sith writing. Unfortunately Xeno wasn’t familiar with the language. Should he be? Maybe, but he never got around to learning such.

“Would you happen to know how to read ancient Sith? Unfortunately I do not.”

The Zabrak stood idly by waiting for his companion. They seemed to be the more studious of the two. Xeno was much more of a fight, and destroy, type of guy. Though strategies were a good field for him as well. When it came to the books though, eh it was better to have him focus on the fight rather than words.

The new tomb seemed to appear from nowhere, erupting from the dense foliage around it stand like boil on a Twilek. The smooth stone that lined the walls was indeed promising, he expected Lord Andros' tomb to be exquisite in design if not flamboyant in nature. But this could equally just belong to another low ranking Sith just had enough clat in the old empire to get himself a place on the ancient home world.

The entrance was carved from black marble, a lighting fork of light dancing through it. What appeared to be doors had no visible way of opening, just another solid piece of rock. Only the slight set back from the frame giving any inclination that this was an entrance.

"Unfortunately not, I have not had enough time to fully study or learn the language, only a few words." He looked up at the writing inscribed upon the keystone of the small arch. "I do however know how to read Lord Andros' name in ancient Sith." He reached his hand up, though he could not reach pointing at each symbol one by one allowed his mind to clear slightly as he tried to read. "His name is here..." He said pointing to one specific spot. "Although again I am not sure if this is his or another he built." Replacing his hand at his side he took a few steps back and again began the process of channelling the burning sensation of The Force his body. "There is only one way to find out I suppose." With that he reached out with his hand and launched out a wave of force into the door. It did not budge at first but he continued to push, perhaps they would need two for this.

Hmm. Could be his tomb, could not. It was worth checking altogether he supposed. The Sith would watch as the other acolyte would use the force to try pushing the doors.

“Need a hand?”

Xeno stepped back to his side and shot a wave of force from both of his hands to the doors and pushed as hard as he could in unison with his companion. Xeno had closed his eye in exertion. If the dork had budged surely his accomplice would inform him soon. If it hadn’t he would continue to push with all his might.

This was all he could really do at this point. The Zabrak was strong. He had power enough to do this. If the doors had a certain way of getting in then of course it would make sense to him as to why they don’t move.

He hadn’t been sure if the doors budged. The force felt the same as before though. He felt the strain. Perhaps they were enchanted or a fake. Maybe it was in fact a puzzle. Could simply be that they had to pull not push. Only one way to find out.

He felt The Force begin to gather within the alien to his side before erupting forward in a second wave of power crashing into the door. He felt it move slightly throw is mind, they were on the right track but something else was needed. Keeping the flow of power mostly running through him, he took a small amount thread pulling it away from the river crashing into the door. With it he plucked at the door, probing its internals, trying to see through the solid stone, something was there he was sure but what was it.

Then a vision appeared in his mind, he could not tell what the vision showed him only that he had an instinct to react. Using that small sliver of energy he grabbed hold of something within the door and began to twist it. Xeno would see his right hand turn ever so slightly as within the door a mechanism began to move, a grinding noise began at the doors edge though Arotrigas was far away from his external senses only The Force within him mattered at that moment.

Then after about half a minute the door creaked, dust began to fly from its edges as it slowly shifted backwards away from the frame, a gust of stagnant air erupted as a sizable gap opened at the top. Then a massive crash echoed through the clearing as the door dropped down into a hidden slot about eight inches behind its original resting place.

As the door disappeared and so did the target of his Force power Artorigas had to catch himself from falling forward. He breathed heavily from the exertion, he had used the Force only sparingly and never in such great volumes, he was more a artist than a brute when it came to these things. He looked over at the Zabrak to see how he fared before offering the alien the first crack at entering the tomb.

The door had opened kinda. Then gone. The way Xeno found out was his body flew forward and he had to catch himself. That was a lot of power, it had forced Xeno to take a second to catch his breath.

The Zabrak felt his body pulsating for a short amount of time. It was strenuous to say the least. Though now the pair can enter. Xeno looked over to see Artorigas. He had offered to let Xeno in first. The Zabrak slowly blinked as he took a deep breath and began walking to the entrance.

It was clever that he had found out what was weighing the door. His intuition is what gave him power. Xeno took notice of this. Most great Darths were known for their minds. The Zabrak knew he hadn’t been the smartest but he would prove himself.

“Sure.. I’ll go first.”

Xeno began into the tomb. It was dark. The Zabrak reached to grab a saber and ignite the tomb but as if by some magical power... the torches on the walls would ignite themselves upon their entry. This was quite interesting. Definitely filled with the force within the tomb.

“Did you see that? The tomb is full of the force. The energy is incredible.”

Xeno turned to face his companion and gave a look of confusion yet excitement. A slight smirk landed on Xeno’s face as he looked at the engravings of ancient Sith on the walls. This was rather unusual, except Xeno was reminded of home. When the nightsisters would use their Magic’s, it was quite similar.
