Beedee wasn't entirely sure what to make of the ping pong, obviously-Force-driven ordeal with the metallic boulder. At first, it seemed like the architecture of the room suddenly veered the object towards his Jedi companions, then it veered off safely passed them. What was the purpose of this contraption? The possibilities flooded Beedee's processor, but the sound of the ceiling above collapsing made those thoughts a secondary concern. His internal map of the Zeffo temple did not have much information on what would have been above them, but Beedee could at least predict the severity of a collapse with his current information.

// Let's fall back for now! // BD-9 suggested, speeding in the direction of where he predicted that they would be safe from falling debris.

It would not be too far to move, but it would end up placing distance between the Jedi team and where the presumed Sith were. Perhaps it was better this way, since the droid wasn't expecting people other than the Amaran inside the temple. What were they to do? If the figures were indeed Sith, then perhaps they have already excavated the temple's secrets? No, they would have left already if they were finished with the temple. What would be inside the unexplored parts of the temple that would keep them from simply leaving to analyze their findings in secrecy.

// What now? // he asked the others.

Nara had been stood at the back, watching and waiting. The arrival of the two blonde women had... put her on edge. She didn't like it. She didn't really like them. She didn't like a lot of things, come to think of it, but in this instance she thought she had a good reason. Two young women lingering around ancient temples. One who spoke entirely too much about the Force in a way that creeped Nara out, another who stood there with a face and snarl like an angry rancor.

She kept back, waiting. Watching. Staring. Letting the unease keep mounting. Besides, her injuries weren't exactly helping. Clutching at herself a little, she wondered if she should have stayed away and sent someone else. So she kept back, hoping some of the more... socially-inclined Jedi might sort things out. That was before she heard the rumbling.

Nara stood in open-mouthed horror as it approached, barely able to make sense of what was happening. She knew she should move but she felt almost frozen to the spot... sensing the Force whirling around her, buffeted from person to ball. It slammed away and straight into the wall. Nara's eyes followed the cracks as they splintered up the ancient masonry. As she felt the impact rumble through the stones and foundation.

Oh great.

Immediately she brandished her saber, stepping slightly forwards into a defensive stance. This was going bad in a big, big way. When BD-9 suggested a path away, Nara followed but kept facing towards their blonde friends. Sith indeed. Snide-y things. Let's see if the dark-side can protect you from getting your head stoved in from a collapsing roof.

"We need to fall back, now!" Nara yelled, looking over at the padawans and Kori. Worried, she saw the distance between Kori and the rest of their group. "Kori! Come on!" They needed to fall back and put some distance between them and the Sith. They wanted to fight? Well, they could slam their way across a disintegrating hall and come at them.

"Kegari, get behind us," Nara said, knowing that the padawan was the least experienced of them and had no saber to speak of. "And don't listen to them. If this gets nasty, you need to head out first back to the ship."

Korsak had scrambled madly alongside BD and Kori to escape the rumbling ball, even resorting to dropping on all fours and running like a beast just to escape. Being a digitigrade species had some advantages, but even then he only narrowly avoided leaping into the common area before the ball veered violently off course, first toward the three figures huddled at the far end of the chamber, then even more violently into the nearby wall. The crack of the metal ball against the ancient stonework was both deafening and sickening, as architecture that had stood the test of ages buckled under the carelessness of these new invaders.

Cries went up from the Jedi, some where igniting sabers and calling for everyone to flee while others moved in closer to Alyse and Alym, but Korsak had stopped caring about individual actions. Something far more primal than rage was now boiling up in him, even as cracks from the heavy impact began to spread across the faded murals of the far wall and up to the ceiling. The collapsing ceiling would not kill these Jedi, he was reserving that cathartic pleasure for himself.

"KILL THEM ALL!" He flicked his red lightsaber into his mechanical hand, then raised his organic arm to the nearest target, Nykoria. He channeled his roiling, seething hatred down his arm and out his fingers in a short but potent burst of lighting, his only aim to vent this newfound rage and power into the closest enemy with a primal scream.

Perhaps hope for the Jedi ever seeing beyond their own prejudices was misplaced, despite her being open, honest and upfront for the Sith's presence within the temple, even being open to the possibility of a joint venture between the two sides of the Force to collectively explore the temple - not to mention taking on a duty of care to advise the young and clearly untrained Jedi Padawan to guard her emotions due to the presence of the darkside that lingered from the fallen Zeffo culture, especially since neither of her mentors saw fit to caution their student over the growing emotional frustration that radiated from the Pantoran. Recalling the young male padawan she had encountered prior to these Jedi, again struggling with his emotional control and allowing the dark side to take root, the blonde guardian couldn't help but wonder whether she had a better understanding of the Jedi teachings than the Jedi themselves.

Yet despite the civility and openness displayed towards the Jedi, the insectoid's reaction did nothing more than to show that the Order's near zealot levels of bigotry towards any user of the Force that did not prescribe to their idolatry of the Lightside, was still rampant within their teachings. The anger laced into the words of Izel's declaration that Alyse, Alym and Korsak were Sith, was clear enough indication that despite the intent to keep things civil and not fall into senseless bloodshed, the Jedi intended otherwise - more so evidenced that once again they were the first to brandish and ignite their lightsabers.

As the dust started to settle from the crashing impact of the boulder, and the barked orders from the Amaran Sith, Alyse rolled her eyes as she stepped away from the column, stepping aside the metallic husk of a fallen automaton. Her eyes phasing into featureless milky white orbs, as she fully focused the essence of the Force and the Darkside to her will, pulling upon the build up and stored energies of the Force she had been pooling up within herself. Her hand moving over the side of her waist to snap up her lightsaber hilt free from it's bindings. But the blade did not ignite as soon as it fell into her grasp, instead the cavernous chamber fell into complete darkness, as the Guardian doused the flickering flames within the brazers, pulling the earlier spent energy back and pouring it into the glass orb within her satchel - she had provided the light as a gesture of civility in the first place, and now it seemed for nought. Now all they would be left with is the light from the ignited lightsabers and the crackling arcs of lightning.

Alym couldn't help but let her face sour into a disappointed grimace. Apparently one of the Jedi had been smart enough and had enough wits about them to notice the sudden shift she'd put onto the rolling rock and saw fit to re-adjust it and send it careening harmlessly into the wall. Well, not totally harmless, Alym could see the centuries old stone crack and spider like too-fresh winter ice.

The young Sith could feel the distinct mix of feelings emanating off of each Jedi and each one tasted different, although they were all just as sweet as the last. There was the classic worry, the nervousness before a fight - not to mention the fear, of course. But there was.. more. Something different and familiar. What was it? Ah.. yes. Rage. Duplicitous anger hiding beneath the guise of adrenaline, but if Alym could decipher it then surely the Jedi - the bug eyed ugly one - could feel it too.

As the dust settled and none of the Jedi jumped headlong into combat, Alym decided to take the more civilized - Sithilized? - approach and try talking again, although her intentions were not to deescalate or disarm. No, she wanted the Jedi to fight. To give in to the rising tide of anger inside of them, to let themselves be truly free. A gift from Auntie Alym, as it were.

As Alyse pulled the light from the room, Alym ignited her own crimson bladed lightsaber and loosed a cackling laugh that echoed harshly off of the stone walls of the temple. We're not so different after-all are we, Bug-Eyes? Alym laughed again, her golden eyes shimmering in the light emanating from her lightsaber, like a predator in a dark forest suddenly hit by a flashlight. You cling to the lightside until your hands bleed, your fingers sharper than your wit. But we both know its nothing but a noose you hold onto.

Alym sneered harshly in the darkness and gripped her lightsaber, swaying its blade back and forth idly. Give into it. In your last moments in this life, show us who you really are. Alym said the last part like someone would state an obvious fact, like how Tatooine had two suns or how Hutts smelled terrible.

As far she could see, there was no peaceful parting of ways left to be had here. The blue girl and the newcomer might have been sopping wet with fear and wanting to run, but Alym was confident the insect would not be so willing. She did not smell like a coward but Alym had been wrong before. Especially when it came to the cowardice of Jedi.

Planet Ontotho, 8:57 am
Hidden temple, main hall

It all happened in quick succession: Izel shouting about the Sith, Nara's yelling to regroup and fall back. Let alone the Amaran's sudden outburst of rampage. All that prior ruckus gave Kori the time she needed to reignite her azure lightsaber. A timely decision, given that moments afterwards she had to catch Beldan's potent burst of lightning with the blade. Or was "Beldan" even his actual name? That lying fleabag!

The Zeltron didn't have the time to voice what she thought about the furred critter—next thing she knew, the room went dark, leaving only the red, green, and blue sabers, and Beedee's spotlight. Even complete darkness wouldn't have been much of a problem. With the masks cast aside, the Zeltron could easily sense the focal points for emotions around her. Getting the sense of the surroundings was a bit harder, but still easily achievable for a Knight. Especially with the blades glowing around.

Kori retreated, circling around the room with her lightsaber at the ready. The only landmarks she needed were the red blades of the Sith and the blue and green blades of Nara and Izel respectively. Furthermore, one of the Sith, a blonde, seemed to engage in conversation with Izel. That left Kori to keep an eye on the other blonde, the Amaran, and any debris that might fall from the ceiling. The dome above them was clearly in bad shape, some rays of light passing through it.

The Knight would reach Izel's side by the time the blonde was about done with her Sith propaganda. A part of Kori wanted to advise Izel not to listen to her. But the raw, primordial emotions filling the ancient temple were contagious for a Zeltron, no matter how much of a Jedi she was. Kori justified what she was about to do with the thought that it was all for a greater good. Throughout all of this, she didn't say a word. The corner of her lip went up in a confident smirk, illuminated by the mixture of blue and green saber glow.

Leaving Izel at the front to cover her, Kori took a step back, taking a position behind the Vratix. Then her hand darted behind her back, grabbing the second lightsaber hilt. In the darkness, Kori threw the spare hilt at the top of the pillar, guiding it with the Force—all the while keeping her ignited saber in the left hand in a defensive posture. As the tossed hilt approached the head of the column, the blade ignited mid-air, slicing at the old stone upwards and diagonally. Then the hilt would arch back towards Kori's outstretched hand, blade extinguishing mid-air.

The cut off part of the column started sliding down, threatening to bury anyone who would linger underneath. Even worse, the dome itself was about to collapse: smaller pieces of rubble were already falling on the ground; larger boulders would surely follow soon. "The fight club's closed for renovation!" Kori shouted defiantly at the more talkative blonde, preparing to flee or fight... depending on the circumstances.

For just a moment Izel was gripped by the horror of what she had done. Turning her attention briefly from the Sith to see the damaged stonework, thousands of years of history coming apart before her very eyes. And it was all her own fault! Under different circumstances she would have been heartbroken, devastated by the reckless foolishness of her actions. But for the time being it only served to fuel her rage. Only one thought could occupy her clouded mind. This was all their fault.

Slowly she turned back to focus her gaze on Alym, the Vratix's whole body shaking with pure, unchecked fury and aggression. The Sith's mocking barely even registered with her. All she saw was a target. What did she say? Last moments? No, she had no intention of dying until she had plunged her saber through the arrogant woman's putrid heart.

"You're getting ahead of yourself..." Izel hissed back in a low hateful tone, shifting her form from Soresu to Makashi as she prepared to launch into an attack. "Let's see whose final moments these really are..." Wordlessly she leapt forward, directing a thrust of her lightsaber pike right at the center of Alym's chest. It would be a fatal blow if she managed to connect. But then something happened. Izel's senses flared up and she caught a glimpse of Kori's lightsaber flying through the air to slice through a loadbearing column, bringing the whole thing down. If she stayed on course she would be crushed. Reacting quickly the Padawan twisted in the air and instead thrusted her weapon downwards, jamming the blade into the floor beneath her and halting her attack on the spot. The Vratix tumbled clumsily to the ground as the pillar collapsed between her and her opponent. Looking up, the entire dome was coming down now.

With the rage still flowing freely through her Izel jumped to her feet and snapped around to look back at her Zeltron ally. "What are you doing!?" She screamed furiously, but the damage had been done. The chamber was completely collapsing, with giant chunks of debris coming down all around them. To stay here would mean certain death. She had been robbed of her opportunity to fight the Sith, and that just made her angrier.

The Vratix took one last glance back at the Sith, hate filled eyes fixing on Alym in particular. Dammit! She thought to herself, then turned to make a break for the exit on the opposite side of the chamber where her fellow Jedi were. As she moved, she was forced to jump to and fro to dodge the falling rocks. The entire chamber had been turned into a deathtrap, and if any of them wanted to survive they had to leave now.

Kegari stayed on guard as she saw the obvious hostility towards Izel from Alym. If she had to choose she would definitely choose Alyse to fight with. But she didn’t want to fight, but it was obvious that these Sith wanted a fight. It was their only way, no sense in seeking a peaceful solution just chaos. Maybe it was her own prejudices getting in the way but Kegari has strong feelings about the Sith and their ways.

Kegari nervously looked up at the stonewall collapsing and thought if anyone of them had any chance of surviving this mission they had to move quick.“We better move quick or this whole temple will collapse on all of us”. Kegari said as a blanketed statement as a warning to her crew and as a distraction to the Sith. Perhaps they would heed her advice or perhaps it would enrage them more. Either way it was a chance she was willing to take.

Kegari knew she was growing irritated with Alym especially after the way she talked to Izel. But she won’t strike unless it was to defend herself. After all, that wouldn’t be the Jedi way. Just then, Izel in her bout of frustrations grew angry with Alym and almost striking her dead with her lightsaber. That was until they were met with Kori, the Zeltron Jedi that seemed to come out from thin air. Perhaps Kori was Alym’s saving grace because if it wasn’t for her, she would have been dead. It was that intense.

Her, Kori, and Izel were on the move as the stones from the temple kept rumbling and and shaking. She had hoped that Nara wasn’t trapped within the temple as it began to cave under. Because despite her injuries she came to help us, it was only right to make sure she was within safety and out of harm’s way. At least for the time being, as this whole situation was dangerous. As she ran she pulled up her commlink and pressed it and whispered “Nara, we are on the move. Do you copy”? Kegari said through the commlink hoping none of the Sith heard her or the others.

Apparently, what the Jedi wanted to do was cause a little mayhem. A part of the little droid's matrix was sad that they may never know how much of the temple they actually destroyed, but withdrawing seemed to be the best option. They may outnumber the dark agents, but they may not have enough skilled warriors to actually fight them. And it seemed that the dark siders did in fact want to fight. And the Jedi too. No, this is far from ideal. With Master Nara in the state that she is in, picking a fight with three Sith lords is likely to end up with someone killed. Or dismantled.

BD-9 whistled to get the others' attention, using his spotlight to guide them in the direction of the temple entrance. It is best to avoid getting the padawans caught up in the fight; Beedee did not know how well versed they were in combat, so it was best to assume they lacked much experience. Beedee could keep track of everyone with his thermal sensors, ensuring that no one fell behind to fend for themselves as the droid urged the Jedi to follow him.

It had turned very nasty, very quickly. Almost instantly after she'd barked out her last steps, the Sith had started to unleash themselves. Lightning wrenched out of the Amaran's hand, deflected by Kori. The two blondes plunged into darkness, nothing but the bloody sheen of one of their sabers illuminating them. All as Nara stepped back more and more, tearing her gaze from one side to the other.

Sith. Actual Sith. Oh sh... oh cr... oh damn damn damn it... she thought, feeling the panic creep up on her. The first time she'd been in contact with Sith, the first time she'd faced something like this. And here she was, in a crumbling, half-destroyed temple far from backup. Or her ship. Hobbling along with the injuries she'd had from the last time she was there. Shoulda stayed at the Temple, she groaned in her head, shoulda let someone else come on this mission. Had to do it though, Nara, had to go and finish off the job, right?

Kori's saber sliced straight through the rock and brought Nara out of her thoughts, giving clarity of purpose. Chunks of fashioned stone, debris and rock were falling from the shattering roof above them. She stared up in horror as the cracks spread and they were pelted with sprays of dust.

"MOVE IZEL!" she screamed to Izel as she turned to run, boots scuffing on the floor as she twisted around towards the exit. Slabs of rock slammed into the floor near her, sending pulses through the stone beneath her feet. She struggled to stay on her feet, her saber whiffing through the dusty air as she raced towards the exit.

"I'm moving!"
she yelled in reply to Kegari, unsure if her commlink even picked it up. She was determined now to get out. Back to the ship, back to the ship. Call for backup. Get them all down here. Get them here and root out the Sith... she thought. She checked over her shoulder, to see if Izel was following....

When another slab smacked into the ground right beside her. A huge cloud of rocky dust burst up towards her as she slipped on the stone. Nara gasped as she leaped forwards, falling towards the ground as she made it through the archway out of the chamber. Her saber scored deep into the ground before cutting out as she scraped across the stone. Coughing, she tried to scramble to her feet, tried to catch any sort of breath she could. Hearing the droidspeak and beeps ahead of her, letting her know she was on the right track.

"Get back to the ship..." she said, to no-one in particular, as she gathered herself again, holding her saber hilt ready just in case.

Korsak watched with futile rage as the Zeltron deflected his lightning away, leaving little more than wild trails of scorched stone between them. He was prepared to close the distance and unleash another storm of power when a massive slab of stone fell from the ceiling and landed between them. In an instant the Jedi sprang away from the danger, either maneuvering around the collapsing ceiling or moving to secure the main hall's exit.

Here he was struck with a moment of clarity, as Korsak knew that if the Jedi escaped the temple they would bring the order down on this sacred site, and they would have to fight even harder to secure the temple. They needed to stop these vandals from escaping before they made contact with the rest of their cult.

"Stop them!" Korsak ducked around the opposite side of the collapsing center chamber, weaving through the pillars closer to Alyse and Alym as he tried to reach the front doors before the Jedi did. Unfortunately, The Jedi were closer, and quicker on the retreat, so as Korsak drew closer to the opening all he could think to do was grab a small chunk of fallen debris, not much larger than the droid, and hurl it toward the Jedi with all his might. Hopefully that would slow them down at least.

The swelling darkness and concentrated anger that swirled within the blonde guardian's core was starting to fluctuate beyond the focused levels of restraint and temperament that she had striven to maintain, keeping her emotions and the dark side bent to her will and soundly in check was starting loosen, with each thunderous cascade of rock and masonry that came crashing down from above. The Jedi in their ignorance and their zealotry had sought not only to suppress the history of a culture long lost, but to destroy what remnants of the lost culture that remained within the ancient temple - the air around the blonde Sith started to darken and thicken with the miasma of the Darkside that radiated out from her.

Her featureless white eyes glanced in the direction of the Amaran Sith, as he growled out, imploring that his fellow Sith stop the fleeing Jedi, slowly her head rocked to the side slightly as her attention was shifted towards the entrance to the temple. With a sudden forward thrust of her hands towards, the Guardian released the pent up concentration of the Force that she had built up within her during the entire confrontation from when the Jedi had made their presence known. Darkened tendrils of the force reaching out and stretching ahead of the escaping Jedi at a speed faster than their legs were able to carry them, the binds of the Force energy wrapping around the grand entrance doors. And, with a forceful pulling back of her arms the doors came crashing shut with a thunderous slam, the force of the doors closure being enough to fracture the massive lintel that arched over the door frame. Loosening the aged and weakening stone work, that came crashing down at the foot of the closed doorway - blocking off and making any means of escape difficult for the Jedi who would have to contend with the closing Sith and the large build up of rubble blocking their egress from the temple.

A sudden snap hiss erupted from the blondes lightsaber as her features were illuminated with a purple hue from the light that emanated from her weapon. With gritted teeth the Sith guardian moved closer towards the Jedi, her featureless eyes narrowing as she observed the movements of the Jedi's lightsaber amongst the dimly lit chamber, her movements periodically swiftly shifting to the side as the sensations of the falling masonry was picked through her mind being opened to the Force, allowing her to avoid the crumbling rubble as it fell from above.

The entire situation was starting to become really disappointing. The Jedi's inclination towards simply fleeing instead of standing their ground wasn't really what Alym had in mind, although she wasn't entirely surprised. They were just confirming what she already knew, that they were enormous cowards that fled at the first sign of actual conflict.

Retreating further into the temple to get out of the way of the crashing pillar, Alym ignited her lightsaber as her attention was drawn towards Alyse and what she was doing. Alym could feel the darkside radiating in intense waves from her companion and found it quite exhilarating, almost palpable. She fed off of it, feeling it course through her veins like an intoxicating brew.

Gripping her lightsaber, Alym leapt atop the fallen pillar, the dust still settling around her, although the harsh crimson light from her weapon wasn't exactly hiding her position.

Nowhere to run now, Jedi She hissed, the darkside energy surrounding her seeming to somehow change her voice into something more predatory and harsh.

Slamming her foot hard into the pillar she stood on, Alym used the force to shatter several dozen shards of stone from it, each one sharp enough to slice right through tender, unarmored flesh. Motioning with her hand, Alym sent the shards flying towards the Jedi - namely Izel, hoping to carve right through her as a showcase of what the darkside was capable of.

Planet Ontotho, nobody cares about the time now
Hidden temple, somewhere close to the exit

Of all the Jedi, Nykoria was the last to retreat. It looked like they'd be able to reach the exit... But then the old stone doors slammed shut in front of them! To top it off, a stone hurled from a considerable distance had hit the Zeltron, knocking her face-front on the ground. The sudden blunt pain made Kori grit her teeth as she tried her best to roll with the fall, and turn around: crouched, and her blue lightsaber blade aimed to the side horizontally in the defensive posture. The hit hadn't wounded her too much, but would leave a nasty big bruise on her purple back.

The furred perpetrator of Kori's wound—and this whole ordeal—was catching up to them. The Zeltron cold feel the rage radiating from him. Probably some gloating from a well-landed hit as well. "Hey, Darth Cuddly! Don't sith yourself from all that Force flexing!" she yelled at the pesky Amaran critter. The emotions of the Sith were contagious; Nykoria tried her best not to fall into them herself, but she was slipping; the angry taunting was a clear indicator of that.

However, all Zeltron were trained to resist the emotions of others, and Nykoria was no exception. If the events of the temple were the storm, she would become its eye, just as her Master had taught her. Emotion, yet peace, Nykoria. Anger and hate were mostly out of her system; but the desire to bring the fight back to the Sith remained.

Nowhere to run, huh? The angry blondie didn't account for a couple more directions. The Sith wanted a fight that desperately? The Zeltron Knight would give it to them. Of all 3 Sith, there was one that posed the most threat: the silent blonde with a purple saber. She was the closest to the Jedi, and the one with the strongest display of the Force yet. Let's see if you're up for a different kind of challenge.

Holding the saber in the left hand in a defensive position (to catch a lightning if the Sith would go for that again), and with her right hand free (to toss aside any stray stone shards or debris), Kori would rush towards Alyse, all to eager to get the blades locked. She was also prepared to draw the second saber from the back. Either to ignite it into the silent Sith while their blades would be locked; but more likely, to protect herself from any other Sith attack, that would undoubtedly follow.

Things just kept getting worse. Despite the fact that they were all in danger of being turned into a fine paste by the temple collapsing directly on top of them, the Sith seemed determined to force a confrontation. And in her state of anger Izel was perfectly fine with that. She would have preferred to fight somewhere where the ceiling wasn't falling on her head, but this would just have to do.

Alym called out before launching her attack, giving the Vratix ample time to stop and turn around to face her. Seeing the sharpened shards of stone flying towards her the Padawan felt a wave of vicious excitement come over her. Her skills with a saber may have been just serviceable, but if this Sith wanted to challenge her through ability in the Force? That was something she could do.

Raising her hand she stopped the swarm of debris racing towards her just inches from her body, the stones that would have missed flying past her harmlessly. She looked directly at Alym. "Yeah, that was a mistake." She responded to her previous taunt before pushing her hand forward. The stones turned in the air so they faced back at the Sith and then flew forward, beginning a deadly game of catch. Even as the duel began in earnest the chamber continued to collapse, rays of sunlight shining down as giant heaps of masonry crashed into the ground all around them, some just barely missing the combatants on both sides. Izel would just need to rely on her Force sense to avoid the falling rocks and hope the chamber was still standing by the time the roof completely gave in.

The conflict was whirling inside her like a hurricane. Her earlier moment of clarity when she tried to flee was bringing some rationality back into her thought process. She knew this was wrong. This was not the Jedi way at all. But there was something intoxicating about how she felt right now. She had never been so confident, so sure of her own ability. And she had never felt such a raw connection to the Force before. It frightened and exhilarated her at the same time. Realizing it truly was the dark side flowing through her she felt a twinge of guilt in her heart, but that was quickly washed away by the rush of battle.

Kegari knew that these Sith weren’t going to leave without a fight, she had to prepare herself to fight, although she has little to no combat skills and without a lightsaber she felt like a burden to the more experienced Jedi.

Yet she was in this temple, on this mission, and has a real chance to prove herself. She had to get a hold of herself before she crumbles along with the temple. But before she could get a hold of herself she sensed one of her colleagues through the Force.

Izel. Kegari sensed the excitement and
exhilaration coursing through Izel. It was the dark side flowing through her. It was no longer a matter of if but when. Kegari had to stay on guard just in case this Sith decided to come after her with only line of defense being a survival blaster and of course the other Jedi. But where would she be if the Sith finished them off? The answer only meant one thing she has to hold the line.

Before she saw Izel jump into battle with Alym she tried to speak to Izel through the Force it may backfire on her but it was her only hope. It wasn’t much but it was something.

Izel, I know you are probably angry with these Sith. But this is what they want, they want us to get angry, to lose our cool, they want us to either die in this temple or join them. This is not the Jedi way. I know it’s hard right now, but we have to get out of here. They want us to fight. We have to find what we came here for and then leave.

Meanwhile, she holts up her blaster just in case, although it was no match against these lightsabers. She hoped that this would not mean that she was not a wimp or a coward but simply a less experienced version of her colleagues. But the Sith would think otherwise they thought of us as cowards, as wimps, inferior to them, it was quite disgusting if you asked her.

The way is shut. Beedee had to dodge and weave to avoid getting caught by the falling debris, running back towards the rest of the Jedi to avoid the worst of the collapsing stonework.

With the temple falling in further disarray, Beedee's mapping of the area would naturally grow more unreliable. The destroyed supports from earlier would massively complicate things, but the little droid was not about to let the thought keep him from helping his Jedi companions.

The sound of clashing sabers echoed through the halls and Beedee thought that, at the very least, the padawans need to let their more experienced brethren take the lead on these dark side agents. One slip up can get people killed, even if it was an effort made in good faith.

// Come on, we have to find another exit! // Beedee whistled at Kegari.

He lowered his head to push against the Pantoran padawan's ankle, urging her to stop thinking about fighting and think more about safety. This wasn't the time to be thinking about things like honor and bravery. It reminded BD-9 of old friend, who lived long before any of these Jedi were born, said to him.

"Recognizing your limitations doesn't make you a coward," he would have said, laughing it off at the same time.

Regardless of whether Kegari stopped aiming her weapon to follow suit or not, Beedee went on to search for another exit. With the temple disturbed and crumbling, an impromptu exit would not make for an unreasonable discovery. Hopefully an exit large enough for his humanoid companions to fit through with lightsaber wielding combatants on their heels.

Nara scrambled herself up from the floor, just in time to be met with a blast of stale air and a rush of chips and dust. Rubble blocked the path forwards, in front of the others, leaving Nara dumbstruck for a second. A rush of different emotions filled her.

Stupid, of course they were going to do something to stop you...
How did they manage that? Their grasp of the Force must be...
We have to get out, we have to get out and quick or we're all gonna...

They think they can just try that sort of crap and get away with it?!

It was becoming clear that they weren't just going to escape. They were going to have to fight. She seized on the familiar passion she'd felt all her life, the sharp look forming on her features as she followed the other Jedi back into the hall. She broke into a run, twisting around the path in front of her, dodging falling slates of rock and boulder. She barely noticed as sharp rock swizzed past her, one chip cutting into her arm. She barely felt a thing.

Focus. Focus and breathe... she told herself, the state of calm purpose filling her. Feel the Force, use it.... The voice in her head, a strange, tangled mix of Oren and Hannibal, guiding her even now. You are a Jedi Knight.

And with that, she knew. Kori and Izel had the creepy blonde and the... other creepy blonde snapped up between them. That leaves me the short-stack. Even as the pillars started to loosen and tumble under the collapse of the roof, she came running towards him. Her saber ignited, held in her right arm as she raised her left defensively. As she came close to the Amaran, she sliced her saber in a controlled, diagonal stroke from upper-right to lower-left. She fully expected him to deflect it but that wasn't the point. I just need you to keep off the other two while they deal with your freaky friends.

"How's the dig working out for you?" she snarled, smirking coldly as the Temple crumbled around them. Even after years of training, she still knew how to needle and annoy like a teenage girl.

Korsak was having something of a day, as apparently his allies interpreted his plan to cut off the Jedi and prevent them from escaping as "smash more of this unique, ancient temple we're all standing in". Watching the beautifully carved doorway of the temple crumble into little more than a pile of debris only fueled his mounting rage as he closed in on the people who had begun this spiral of destruction.

Alym and Alyse had chosen their own targets, one of them being the Zeltron he intended to slaughter, as she added further insult to near-injury to infuriation by throwing snide remarks at him. He would take his revenge on her in time, but for now it seemed the other half of the original Jedi team had her sights set on him, as the human woman turned to strike Korsak with an overhead slash.

Being of shorter stature and faster reflexes, Korsak instead slipped to the Jedi's right (his left) in order to dip under the slash and try to unleash another potent burst of Force lightning, this time at point-blank range. While this was a draining ability, it was also incredibly potent and sometimes difficult for novices to handle. So Korsak hoped, as he extended his organic left arm with his saber ready to defend in his right, that the blast would at least catch the Jedi off guard.

If nothing else her snippy comment only fueled Korsak's rage.

Narrowed eyes regarded the Zeltron Jedi as she moved towards the blonde haired guardian, Saber drawn and stooped into a low defensive state as she seemingly manoeuvred herself to rush the guardian. These Jedi clearly had not learned from the mistakes of the past Order, was it something that was ingrained so deeply in the ideologies of the Jedi scripture, that they were to heroically charge into the darkness -their sabers and the the connection to the Force being the light that was to drive the shadows back?

Yet for all the valour and courage that these Jedi, most of them clearly in a wounded state were displaying - they had evidently forgotten about the key fundamental flaw of the Hero that they clearly were trying to portray. A Hero is after all someone who gets other people killed. Their zealotry for ridding the galaxy of those who would dare tap upon the darkside, had blinded them not only to their own realisation that the Force that surrounded them all was darkening, the unchecked emotions and lack of discipline of the Jedi Knights allowing for the Darkside to take root within their very being. But they clearly were blinded to the fact that they had left perhaps one of their most susceptible and weakest of the party alone and unprotected.

As the Zeltron closed in towards Alyse, her free hand closed up mimicking the form of a tight pinch, whilst she shifted her posture into a prone sabre stance, her muscle memory falling unto her years of training and competition within the various fencing circuits afforded to her though her privileged upbringing. Her body primed to deal with and parry the Zelton's opening attack, yet the the form that her freehand was taking was giving indication that something else was at play.

As soon as the fingers around her freehand had coiled up, the tendril like currents of the Force started to wrap and tighten around the neck of the young blue Pantoran ward that the Jedi in their haste to engage the Sith had neglected to account for. The white featureless orbs of the Guardian narrowed as she regarded the Zeltron, with each beating instant the constricting grasp around Kegari's neck would tighten as she was lifted off from the ground. "I would stand down if I were you" Alyse spoke out towards the Zeltron, but her voice carrying louder so it would be heard by the other Jedi. "Unless you're all so dogmatically blind in the belief that anyone who doesn't prescribe to the ideals of the Jedi should be eradicated at the expense of those you claim to protect" she added before nodding towards the Pantoran initiate that was being suspended in mid air, whilst the tendrils of the Force wrapped around her neck, enough to cause discomfort and panic and at the sensation of strangulation - but not enough to outright kill the young Jedi, that was not the guardian's intent afterall.

The senseless taking of life was something of an abhorrence to the blonde, yet with the Jedi so dead set in their near zealot like hostility towards the darksiders - Alyse found herself forced to take what ever means was necessary to protect herself and her own. Even if it required more forceful measures to be taken to put an end to the violence brought on by the Jedi's hypocrisy and arrogance.
"You were cautioned, that the Darkside resonates strongly within this temple. Yet you did not guard yourselves against it's influence. Yet you act out of your own emotions and prejudices, clouding your minds and allowing for the Darkside to take root. Stand down and leave, or continue and give the darkside more purchase on your essences" the cultist spoke out, her words calm and purposeful, whether the Jedi chose to accept it or not, their actions had done little but to feed the lingering hunger of the darkside that was so deeply engrained into the ancient stone work that surrounded them - baring the young Pantoran that the Knights had left unprotected, it seemed ironic that the youngest of the Jedi here was the one showing the most restraint and control.
