I'm sure a couple people might wonder why I was acting kinda strange yesterday and was asking for some time away. I figured I should at least explain why too. Basically I was harrased by a police officer. Really felt like harassment to me anyways. He stopped me by running at me from inside the store I had just left and said i looked like someone that was known for shoplifting there. He kept me there for about 45 minutes saying he was checking for warrants and wouldn't let me leave.

I have an uncle that works as a detective in one of the larger cities near where I live and I called him last night and talked to him about it and he said it was harassment as it was not justifiable cause for him to stop me and detain me as well as search my purse. He and I went to the police station today and filed a complaint and he also spoke with the chief of police here personally so it's being handled.

It was a bit of a jarring experience and it really shook me up. I have anxiety issues as is, and something like that happening was almost enough to give me a panic attack. I knew I did nothing wrong but it was just an abuse of authority in my honest opinion and so like I said I filed a conplaint. I hope this helps clears things up and you all don't think of me as a dramatic person because of it. Thank you.

Well Anzat - we're all here for you and if you want to take the time to get yourself in a better headspace and settle this issue with the help of your uncle and the like? Well I think I speak for us all when I say go for it.

Take some time for yourself to get yourself relaxed and happy again after that experience and come back to us as you usually are - happy, smiling and posting as much as you want! ;)

I'd be livid if an officer did that to me. Absolutely livid! I'm glad you filed a complaint on him. Sorry to hear you went through that experience.

RL always comes first, and that cop should ride a desk for a while and relearn his job. Glad you and your uncle are working to put him in his place. Take all the time you need.
